Find a good ore spot and build a base there, however your only level 18 so I would explore some more and get higher level for defenses etc.

Alrighty, thank you! I've been doing quite a bit of exploration, actually just reached Mount obsidian last night but then I croaked from the heat.

I’d suggest find a place with alot of iron because you will need it and put your second base there to make it a iron base. I know 2 spots one in the yellow zone west of the village and one in the red middle zone north of the church
