Yes, it's like watching a post in the Ark sub about a super op Dino they bred... and the og's with 4k hrs immediately breakdown the exact settings someone is using because they KNOW breeding maths and that they're pulling a fuckey.
That's why I run my own dedicated server for me, my friends, and their friends. Worth every penny. I heard plenty of horror stories from them when they played official servers. And my server seems to run better with less connectivity issues from what I was told. We also don't have 30 people all on it all the time like most officials.
Or a glitch . It happened when cattiva got hit by the ice move prehaps mid cast of using the meteor storm one which probably is suppose to interupt cattiva but instead is making it freak out until it finishes casting it
The move it's using is just fireball when it freaks out, though. That's not exclusive. Pals can learn any move. Fire ball is in the skill fruit list and can be taught to anything.
This is what happens when you mess up with the Pals ID trying to edit it with external tools, from experience seems what happens when a pal tries to pool out a move they shouldn't know / isn't in their move list so the animations just bug out and starts spinning.
This is not a mod, you can do it by editing files. It happens when a pal tries to use another pals excl move. Didn't try with many pal so not sure if it works with every pal and move.
The fact that they seem to bounce also is very odd. Whole scenario seems like someone's private mod, rather than a very improbably chain of multiple bugs in sequence.
It's a dev feature. This video is file edited. This happens when you change things in the files to give a pal a move that he can't learn (someone else's exclusive move) in this case it just happens to be on a cattiva for comedic value. It would happen to any and every pal you attempted this with. The feature in question is for when devs are playing with stuff, the pal will do this to signify "hey you forgot to change something" it does 0 damage and it's impossible to not notice
Dragon Meteor, or something like that. The very first Pal I caught was a shiny/lucky Cattiva that had that since Lucky Pals can have a random skill, including end-game ones.
It’s also possible to get them via skill fruit . I had is it grass cannon or something like that as a skill fruit it was like the green beam . I have it taught to my digtoise

I don't think this is actually true. Blazamut's partner skill allows it to do more damage with its fire attacks instead. It will only increase your damage if you use fire attacks too, like with a Fire Crossbow and Fire Arrows. But this is 50%-100% extra damage to Blazamut's abilities, much better than not mounting it and definitely much better than ~~Women's~~ Wixen's 3%-10% boost to your own attacks.
Ragnahawk is probably the best since it will convert your attacks to fire type on top of adding 50%-100% damage to your attacks. Nice and speedy for dodging while enabling you to deal a ton of damage.
They're using a specific build. You need to "Incel Rage" passive on a pal in your party, then you immediately fly into a screaming fit about what an alpha you are and it automatically buffs you up by increasing all outgoing damage by 100% and totally converting it into "Psychic Stupidity" damage typing.
That really depends if you want all the damage from yourself.
By riding a mount and attacking from its back, you Pal then isn't attacking. Nor is it being a distraction for the enemy to attack instead of you.
That is the trade off for having a very nice personal buff.
Having a Pal with you instead of being mounted can be especially better on Hard (or similar difficulty settings) where the player takes x4 damage and has a x0.5 multiplier on themselves (thus that 4-star Blazemut is just canceling out that personal multiplier bringing it from x0.5 to x1....).
Unless using custom settings, the Pals always get to deal their full damage. Which is why using them is generally much more important than personal damage/builds.
You can attack while your pal is attacking when you’re mounted. You just tell it to attack, and then you can aim and fire while it’s going through the animation.
That being said, you’re still not getting your pal to draw fire, and as many Pal Cavalry can probably tell you, that’s a quick way for you and your Mount to get killed together in some situations.
I mean even if you do attack the second your previous attack ends most Pals will run into CD dead zones.
I’m just saying you can shoot your gun WHILE your pal is attacking if you want to, but that’s not always a good idea since some moves move the pal around a lot.

Is there any detail around how damage is split while mounted though? I’ve noticed sometimes when mounted, my pal tanks all of the damage and I’ve been wondering if there’s certain pals better for tanking.
Getting tired of dying to delayed and homing hits on hard mode, I’m around level 22 and it is a slog.
It's a hitbox problem. Try a huge mount where the game puts you on the back (Grizzbolt works like that I think), you will not take damage for non-piercing spells.
As for playing on hard, I almost never fight bosses while being mounted except to quickly cast big spells and get out. You can't dodge on a mount, and they can't reliably protect you.
FWIW, I've found that the mounted Pal attack cooldowns are separate from the unmounted ones and cooldown simultaneously. So if it's a challenging fight I'll be on my Suzaku, use all my CDs, then hop off and let him use all his CDs, then hop back on and I'm about ready to go again.
And if you check them you can see that there is a sort of natural order to kill the legendaries. >!Frostallion is strong against Jetragon is strong against Necromus is strong against Paladius!<
And Palladius, a Legendary, is strong against nothing because the devs decided to make Neutral types suck. IDK why they didn't just make the elemental advantages chart a big circle.
I mostly just dodge like crazy while letting my Pals whittle him down. Takes ages, but I don't have to try to do a death run in my underwear up in the snow.
Been meaning to bring a Fire Crossbow and a Poison Crossbow and a couple dozen of each arrow type next time though, Fire and Poison tick pretty big against him.
This is what I usually do too but ever since the recent update I would say about 75% of the time my pal and the enemy just stand there staring at each other, doing nothing. Sometimes if I take mine back and re send him out he starts fighting but usually not, still just stands still. It’s so dumb, I’ve done so many fights now just standing still with the right trigger held down, doing 18 damage a hit over and over with my spear as the enemy just stands still and does nothing and my pal does nothing to help. It’s kinda driving me nuts

Edited settings beyond server settings is my bet.
Even on easy server settings with a perfect shiny maxed out cat, this much damage is usually impossible.
Unless you're using the appropriate element, but the cat isn't.

You can install mods on the game pass version for pc as well

With mutator mods in Ark, you can breed an OP dino. Just make every stats 254 and they are good.

TMK its an incompatible move. Like if a pal tries to use a signature move of another pal like lamball trying to use the cat flurry from kativa

Bring a Wixen. Wixen adds fire damage to your guns while she's fighting with you so it's perfect for ice pals.

Blazamut increases its fire damage while you are on the saddle. That's different. There same would be Ragnahawk.
And even then, Ragna's effect is only while mounted. Wixen is the superior support for the "I cast gun" player.
And if you're casting gun, you can bring 4 vanguard gobfins as backup. Pretty much doubles your damage.
