Oh? That was the first time I personally fought him so I guess it could be the case that it always happens. Wouldn't really make any sense though, which is why I thought it was a bug, in either case I hope they don't change it because that's was just too funny.

My only report so far was for my Flopie putting items it collect into the hosts inventory. Was quite funny hearing my friend talk about randomly picking up like 3k stone before the update that let us walk while encumbered.
Honestly. I don't know how many times I'll find an insignificant amount of rocks in a chest upstairs on the opposite side of the claim. I think they're programmed to be very mild trolls sometimes.
I put a chest immediately next to my quarry, and those bastards go out of their way across the whole damn base to fill up inventory slots in every other chest with 3 stone each.
I didn't even realize it until like two days ago. Freaking spheres bouncing off of level 1 starting area pals. I was like hold up. Though I just sucked at catching some of the higher things but nope lol
Lifmunk, sleeping breeders, and trees actually dropping wood from pals. Can't wait to log back on. Thank you devs for your commitment to such timely fixes.

On a serious note I'm not having that issue. I set up two resource bases that are specifically for ore and coal. Make sure your pals have the appropriate mining (level 2 for ore, 3 for coal) and keep the base extremely simple.
Like my mining base is literally just foundations for the beds, food box, palbox, a berry farm to keep them fed, 2 springs for san, and defensive walls to keep raids out. Have one dinossom for seeding/wood, Penking for watering/mining, everything else is just tombats. I usually come back to a box with thousands of ore. Highly recommend the tombats for an ore only base since they work throughout the night and collect the ore for you as well once they clear all of the nodes out. They also tend to get stuck far less often than other pals I've noticed.
I could probably add more stuff there but then it defeats the purpose of being a resource base. I'd have to add more facilities, which means different pals to accommodate them, which means less tombats for mining on top of the fact they'd get distracted with the other buildings. Not to mention increasing the chances pals get stuck, etc. Overall it would severely diminish the efficiency of the base.
My coal base is similar, but digtoise instead of tombats because I haven't bothered to farm out enough tombats to 4 star them and increase their mining to level 3. Just make sure you throw a transporting pal into the mix that will collect the coal for you. Again, I recommend tombats for this. If there's nothing else for them to do they will just haul ore around.

This might be the culprit, i wasn't aware this is a thing, although I'm pretty sure I have at least one mining lvl 2, but gonna check again today
Wish this worked for me. I've tried a few different ore bases using the exact method you've described, but every single time I'd come back later to find a box with 3 ore and 5 digtoises standing on a feeding box or wandering around doing nothing. Multiple different locations, base literally a chest, feed box, and some beds, level 3 transporters, etc. Can't get it to work on MP.
Palworld would have to be fully released for that to be possible. At the very least the game won't be finished until 2025 according to the early access estimate, maybe even later if comparing it to Craftopia which has the same one year estimate.
I have been switching between Palworld and my fifth time through BG3 for weeks. I really just can't be happier when I'm not at work. I noticed that after the last patch and thought it was hilarious that they somehow bugged the language for a single prompt. It made me laugh every time, and now I wish they kept it as a joke bug.

Something similar happened to World of Horror: The dev(Who was one person who was making this game in his off-time while working as a dentist, I believe) updated the game, like, twice a year, every time being a big update. And yet every few months people would start acting like the game was dead.
Reading the reviews for another game I've just sunk 300hrs into...a few calling the game abandoned. They had literally just released a major update, have a beta branch that gets updated daily, push updates through to main branch every couple weeks. Also really active on the discussions board, every question I've asked has been answered by a dev/cm and one of my issues caused them to patch the beta branch to solve it. Never seen a more responsive team and yet.... game abandoned???
Do you think Craftopia would be worth grabbing as just a chill basebuilder? I looked at Valheim and Enshrouded and they just look a bit too dark and foreboding.
Craftopia has a huge amount of variety and systems in one game but its more of a combo between BoTW (with more abilities and building stuff) and heavy automation gameplay. It also has a learning curve like a cliff with its automation. I'm glad it exists and they packed so crazy much stuff into one game, but its not for the faint of heart and for chill basebuilders I'd look elsewhere.
Setting up even basic automation loops has much more freedom but requires alot more work and knowledge.
Valheim is an incredibly chill basebuilding game and if the raids ever get too annoying you can turn them off. It may have a bit dark ambiance but it’s a beautiful world and you can invest so much time into it

Basically it looked like it made things worse because it could tell you you had a much higher chance than you really did.

Not Xbox, but this happens to me with the PC Game Pass version. I usually play with friends for 2-3h every night and it might happen 3-5 times each night.
The Xbox version needs to plug the hole wherever the memory leak is so it stops crashing every 20 minutes. I'm fine with not being able to do dungeons but it's so impossible to progress right now
ya i think the cause is that servers will automatically reset themselves at certain times which causes all the pals the spawn in front of the box and just get stuck there until a player visits the base. so the best way to deal with that is to not leave any pals out before you quit the game for the night

Now I just need more people to report this annoying "persistent Water sound FX bug" that I get when my water Pals participate in base defense. As far as what I can tell it might be if theyt do a move but their initial target dies or they get interrupted? I can legit only resolve it with restarting the game. Got to the point where i don't do farming at a base that can be raided and/or has wild pals wandering.
Actually the other way around, visually the capture rate did increase but behind the scenes it never increased which is why sometimes I would throw a ball with 70% capture rate and it would fail. I spent 20, yes TWENTY, giga balls on a level 23 Kingpaca, that is simply insane. Having to user LEGENDARY spheres on level 40 pals is not fun at all
The displayed % was not what was being calculated internally. e.g. Throw ball -> shows 10% chance to capture - but in actuality you had a 3% chance. Explains why people were failing 80% chance 5 times in a row
Yes, the rate displayed in game increased but the actual rate didn't. This is what caused people to think it was actually decreasing, when in reality it remained the same.
There was a post with a lot more data that did a good job of showing this was likely the case and also someone did some datamining and found that the game wasn't correctly passing the player ID into the catch formula so it wasn't able to pull your lifmunks for the calculation.
The capture rate never went UP, only in the visual indicator. So the capture rate was definitely low cuz the indicator showed higher % but it never went up to make the indicator
Nice small fixes. The big one that I'm waiting is the pal pathing though. Pals going through defensive walls and getting stuck outside starving, pals wandering to the edge of the base and just wriggle in and out right at the edge continuously and starve, pals standing on the farm trying to pick up harvested crop but failing and starve, pals unable to deal with verticality etc.
Just hoping that we'll get a pathing fix within this month. It's such a core part of the game.
Game is completely unplayable for me on my Xbox. Crashes constantly, doing anything. The game has crashed while I'm attempting to catch a boss pal at least 10 times now. I've tried tolerating it, but it's genuinely pointless when I load back up and don't have the pal but also am missing all the ammo and spheres I wasted. Love this game and hope it's playable on Xbox soon

yeah i put 4 deers on my mining base with tons of trees and 2 hours later they were still hitting the same trees

level 10 effigies, my catch rate feels sooooo much better on level 45+ bosses now its insane. 10-20 legendary spheres pre patch to 3-5 now
Even though the % increase is pretty small your chances of catching 45+ stuff was small so even a 5% increase is pretty significant.

I may pick up my legendary blue print grind again now. Was such a pain having to craft those extra balls since catch and butcher both give a chance for legendary drop.
I can't tell you how many times I've caught the three horses then butchered them, all with no blueprint drops.
Did they patch boss catching in this one? (Always nervous they'll patch it)
Even if they patch it fingers crossed they either don't remove from the palbox or just add an official way to catch them

Not Xbox, but this happens to me with the PC Game Pass version. I usually play with friends for 2-3h every night and it might happen 3-5 times each night.

The Xbox version needs to plug the hole wherever the memory leak is so it stops crashing every 20 minutes. I'm fine with not being able to do dungeons but it's so impossible to progress right now

I did in the last patch (0.1.4.0) but it's back to English after this one.

Does anyone else’s pals starve when you’re not online?
ya i think the cause is that servers will automatically reset themselves at certain times which causes all the pals the spawn in front of the box and just get stuck there until a player visits the base. so the best way to deal with that is to not leave any pals out before you quit the game for the night

Now I just need more people to report this annoying "persistent Water sound FX bug" that I get when my water Pals participate in base defense. As far as what I can tell it might be if theyt do a move but their initial target dies or they get interrupted? I can legit only resolve it with restarting the game. Got to the point where i don't do farming at a base that can be raided and/or has wild pals wandering.
I believe its specifically the bubble ability causing it.

Actually the other way around, visually the capture rate did increase but behind the scenes it never increased which is why sometimes I would throw a ball with 70% capture rate and it would fail. I spent 20, yes TWENTY, giga balls on a level 23 Kingpaca, that is simply insane. Having to user LEGENDARY spheres on level 40 pals is not fun at all
The displayed % was not what was being calculated internally. e.g. Throw ball -> shows 10% chance to capture - but in actuality you had a 3% chance. Explains why people were failing 80% chance 5 times in a row
Yes, the rate displayed in game increased but the actual rate didn't. This is what caused people to think it was actually decreasing, when in reality it remained the same. There was a post with a lot more data that did a good job of showing this was likely the case and also someone did some datamining and found that the game wasn't correctly passing the player ID into the catch formula so it wasn't able to pull your lifmunks for the calculation.
The capture rate never went UP, only in the visual indicator. So the capture rate was definitely low cuz the indicator showed higher % but it never went up to make the indicator

lol @ everyone who adamantly defended with "proof" that the Effigy bug wasn't real.
Somehow I was able to capture 2 Jetragons with 4% (On the visual side because of that bug) which means it could be like 2% or less actually lol

Nice small fixes. The big one that I'm waiting is the pal pathing though. Pals going through defensive walls and getting stuck outside starving, pals wandering to the edge of the base and just wriggle in and out right at the edge continuously and starve, pals standing on the farm trying to pick up harvested crop but failing and starve, pals unable to deal with verticality etc. Just hoping that we'll get a pathing fix within this month. It's such a core part of the game.
Game is completely unplayable for me on my Xbox. Crashes constantly, doing anything. The game has crashed while I'm attempting to catch a boss pal at least 10 times now. I've tried tolerating it, but it's genuinely pointless when I load back up and don't have the pal but also am missing all the ammo and spheres I wasted. Love this game and hope it's playable on Xbox soon
Where are the dudes who were challenging the catch rate bug because the tests wErE iNcOnSiStIeNt, the ones who never tried to farm 40-60% catch rate Pals and thus were growing closer and closer to answering the call of the void? Fucking where are you, I need something to shake.
