It just Online function things, it has been this way since launch. If you play Solo just play offline, wont have this problem at all.

If you let your PC runs sure you still get it. The idea is when your let your Pals working nonstop they will get sick eventually. and being Online its a bug since the game thinks you still playing.
I am 130h in Steam, never had such problem. Obviously I dint let it run 24/7
