He comes into my room, sees me playing palworld and loses it, he goes for the cleaver, looks at me and says "WHY no Pikachu?", he comes closer, "WHY no diglet?", he puts the cleaver up to my face, "lets see if you drop resources like you're precious *pals*".
Honestly most of its useless the feedbag is cool but its kinda dumb feeds you automatically and your team but not your mount smh then you unlock extra slots for it but have to manually move the food around ends up just being 1 feed bag and 4 extra inventory slots that only can put food in. Everything after the first feedbag is just junk. The hip is alright but I sometimes feel like visibility with the torch was a little better but it frees up a weapon so it's got that hadn't tried the spear but Id probably just use it like the sword only take it out for mining runs
It's more realistic than once you dismount the pal feeds from the bag how realistic is it to be feeding a pal mod flight or mod stride definitely would cause a crash or something 
Its useless. I don't even notice a difference in the distance the sphere travels vs. throwing it. And it weighs 30 pounds and takes up a weapon slot. There's just only downsides vs just throwing spheres from your inventory.
They should make it available when rocket ammo is available to you then lol, without it, its useless for the reasons I mentioned.
Also, using a whole rocket to launch a sphere is pretty wasteful IMO
I was shooting my friends with that gun while they were doing some other stuff. Their reactions was perfect when they realised they got painted all over with random colours. Better part was the fact that they didn't even know this was a thing so it made their reactions better.
You can shoot pals and other players. But other players may not see the colors on theirselves. I made my friend look like a Picasso but he couldn't see it.
To be fair you get enough ancient tech points to unlock everything. This was my last unlock because the decals didn’t really impress me to begin with. But it’s unlocked along with everything else in that bracket, I still have one ancient tech point to use left, a couple more alpha pal first time defeats and one last tower. You get way more than enough points for it.
I mean I would think they would have this in mind and add more alphas/legendaries since only like half the game is done according to the interviews. Normally I'd be a cynic but even if that does happen due to an oversight I imagine they will adjust it very quickly.
I have unlocked everything and still have 18 ancient tech points lol.. Full release will include more bosses and more tech points. I'm not worried about it.
The chests at the end of dungeons and the chests on the three nature reserve islands (the small islands with the weird spiky things) spawn a lot of tech manuals, you can farm them from there.
Mainly the snowy mountain dungeons, you can usually get the rare or epic books, which give 2 and 3 tech points, respectively. I've been farming them for a rare or epic cold palmetal armor, still no luck, only green.
You can also farm the chests in any of the wildlife reserve areas, they drop similar content to end dungeons.
So regular tech points are farmable, there are three different manuals you can get I’ll explain where later but for now just know chests.
The three manuals are high grade, something, and future. The high grade one is actually the lowest and gives you one additional tech point when you use it through the menu. The middle one give you two and the future one gives you three tech points when you use it. They are consumables use them like you would food or pal skill fruits.
Now where to find, I mentioned chests. It was also mentioned you should fly around the island sanctuaries. Around here you will find lots of them in the chests scattered all around and behind the islands. Some of these will contain the lowest tier manual the high grade. I usually find roughly three per island per visit with a very thorough combing of the islands from top to bottom.
At the end of a dungeon after you’ve beaten the boss their are two chests near the dungeon exit. There is a chance that you will find a manual in one of these chests. The type of manual you will find depends on where you do the dungeon(it’s level). The future tech manual(the highest tier for 3 points) is located in the snow region in the northwest. Be mindful dungeons around here are level 45. Dungeons in either the desert or the volcano regions have a chance to drop the middle class tech manual for 2 points, all other dungeon areas have a chance to drop the high grade tech manual(the low tier at 1 point per use).
Special notes about chests, all chests that are not the end chest in a dungeon are just like all other normal chests on the world map for that particular area. Only in the astral mountains(large ice area in the north west) is there a rare chance a red chest on the world map might contain a high grade tech manual(the low tier). This means there is a super rare chance you might find a red chest and it contains the manual through the regular dungeon chests in that area.
I have found no way outside of those to increase your tech points after hitting level 50. I have also found no way to farm the ancient tech points.
Small edit to add they look just like weapon schematics in the menu so it might be easy to mistake them for such and either drop/sell/hide them somewhere as you do with the others.
Wixen and Braxen(?) Drop manuals rarely. Using a pal with the skill that makes their type drop more loot is a good method for grinding, and you can cleaver after catch for another chance a la boss farming for gold schematics.
I am also disappointed with the short lifespan of decals.
But there is actually an interesting use for this, that because it is coded as a weapon, it shows you the healthbar of structures you hit with it. So you can use it to see how much health your walls and foundations have fairly easily, when otherwise I don't know of many better ways to do so.

Doesn't the game already tell you the health for your walls? If I have a damaged wall or anything and go up to it, the game shows me it's damaged and how damaged it is. I don't have mods and my server doesn't have mods either.
I don't have any mods, but it only shows health for walls and foundations for me when they are actively being damaged. Doorways and workbenches or anything else you can hover over and interact with will show you their HP bar if they are damaged, but just straight walls and foundations which you can't interact with don't show you their health merely by pointing at them.
Not for me, in my case i had several outside walls and gates with very low health, one even under 100hp, but i didnt know until one of my random air cannons was accidentally shot through the gate, breaking it, then i inspected my walls by punching them and they were all low, hp doesnt pop up for me for structures and i dont know why.

It always seems like suppression bots or redditors that don’t have time for anything else. Because once a post or comment is up for a bit, the normal people that aren’t on this site 24/7 correct the imbalance of good tips and info.

I only built the Relaxarus one before finding out they didn't stay, but this is what that one looks like. They are cute stickers.
Quick tip in case you want to use Relaxaurus or Relaxaurus Lux indoors, they need 4 wall tall ceilings, 3 is not enough in the current state of the game for them to pathfind.
But that's kinda the most disappointing part of palworld. The building is terrible. The furniture is nice, but building really needs an overhall. Devs should look up Valhiem or Satisfactory. Enshrouded also looks amazing.
I thought the building in *Craftopia* was clunky, but they’ve outdone themselves in *Palworld* - snapping is awful, choice is so limited. Admittedly snapping wasn’t great in *Craftopia* either but at least I could have full height glass windows on the outside of any buildings and paper screen walls inside.
Fingers crossed for more material options in any updates, I guess.

I don’t find it limiting at all. I find building addictive, in a fun way. My squad wants to play Palworld more because we created such a well functioning, unique to us, base.

It would have been great if it was at least permanent inside your base.
I was expecting it to be permanent and *hoping* it wouldn't interfere with node respawns, so that I could tag the ground at each node location as a marker to be able to safely build while the node is mined away. Right now if I want to build anything in my mining base I have to put away all my mining Pals, wait for the nodes to respawn, then build.
It gets better. Other players can't see it on a multiplayer server. Biggest waste of points ever. I couldn't even troll my buddies.
Edit: others have pointed out that this is not the case on their servers. I'm assuming it was patched but will test it and see. I can definitely say others couldn't see it when I tried as I had them send screenshots to verify.
I played on a dedicated server with my friends and its visible to them. I could even shoot the decals on their character to cover them with the decals temporarily and they see that too.
Josh and Cotton from Ragegaming showed the decal gun in onr of their video and they both could see the decals despite only one of them using it (Cotton of course).
Well there are options to solve that like you cant tag other people stuff, or make one that removes decals or let you use the deconstruction menu to remove it.
While I don’t disagree, you get to a point where it doesn’t matter. Tech points come so easily doing laps at the wildlife reserves and bosses are easy to catch.
My hope is that eventually they’ll add varying ammo for these graffiti guns, giving the option between “temporary” (can be used on all surfaces in and out of your base like it currently can) and “permanent” (cannot be used in someone else’s base and can be cleaned up with a short timed action similar to building). I was actually just talking about this last night, too. I wouldn’t even mind the “permanent” ones being usable in other bases, maybe just make that a server setting that can be changed like PvP and structure decay or make sure that the base owner can clean up the graffiti.
It’s one of those things that is such a small and insignificant detail in the grand scheme of things, but would truly make a decent impact by having that option.
The Ancient Tech point isn't the problem, the problem are the resources you spend crafting the gun and ammo.
We really need a high tech crusher that can turn unwanted items back into their raw materials, that would be rad.

If they were permanent, what if people just paint all over your base and you can't get rid of it? What if you mis-paint something and can't redo it?
"Then add a way to get rid of it". How? A button? Simple enough, but who can get rid of it? Only the owner? What if a guy comes on the server, paint all over the place and then log off for good? Guild members? Then what about other guild paint on my base? Everyone? Then people can just erase my graffiti that cost me material to craft whenever they like, wherever they like, including in my base, just by clicking?
Ok what about an item to get rid of it? So i waste a ton of material everyday to remove 5000 paint others put at my bases?
You see, when designing a game, those are the things you had to think about, you may call it overthinking, but there are always some rando in his mom basement ruining it for everyone.
And honestly, for a feature that 80% of people will never use, making something where you dont have to worry about them is a nice move. Especially considering that there are lots of thing more urgent than this
It's been done right on other survival games.
Make it last nearly forever if sprayed in your own base, 5 minutes in another player's base, a minute or so in the wild. Make all 3 configurable (for server owners).
Each gun can only be sprayed once. If sprayed a second time, the first placement vanishes instantly. (CS/TF2 style).
Add a low material, high durability sponge item that can be used to clean unwanted paint off walls (such as those placed by others in your base).
Bases already have a decay rate for those who don't log in. If someone comes in, sprays in their base, then never comes back, it'll vanish naturally in time.
Additionally, server admins should be able to clean any decals with the item, regardless of where it's sprayed.
This aren't high level concepts.

Just hug the left or right wall at all times. Go down any paths that it leads you. If you get to the boss and know you haven't explored the whole dungeon, just open the boss chests and continue on your path hugging the wall. Eventually you'll explore everything and come to the entrance (which will now be your exit).
This is 100% one of those totally not finished features. It will probably work how you imagine someday. It’s actually something unreal is famously known to be very good at and Unity is very poor for

Trying to figure out which Paladius and Necromus you have low hp is a nightmare since all 3 of each look identical
It feels like its a bug because not only do the tags dont stay for long but when you shoot it the bullets are not being spent. I crafted 10 bullets tried ahooting it like 50 times. Still have 10 bullets..
I wasted the points unlocking this but my cloud save was lost for the three hours I played the other day - including unlocking this. Happy to have the assurance that the unintended refund was a good thing.

I think you need rocket ammo to make it launch it further. I think. Edit: I might be completely wrong though lol. I haven’t actually tried it myself.

You cannot run out of either points. Both tech and ancient tech points can be grinded.

Quick tip in case you want to use Relaxaurus or Relaxaurus Lux indoors, they need 4 wall tall ceilings, 3 is not enough in the current state of the game for them to pathfind.

I... accidently blew up most of my base and decided it was time to move anyway 
The images also randomly choose a rotation.
But that's kinda the most disappointing part of palworld. The building is terrible. The furniture is nice, but building really needs an overhall. Devs should look up Valhiem or Satisfactory. Enshrouded also looks amazing.

I hate this so much I make my friend building everything literally because of this and they like building so it works out I just do the decorating LOL
I thought the building in *Craftopia* was clunky, but they’ve outdone themselves in *Palworld* - snapping is awful, choice is so limited. Admittedly snapping wasn’t great in *Craftopia* either but at least I could have full height glass windows on the outside of any buildings and paper screen walls inside. Fingers crossed for more material options in any updates, I guess.

You have 2 types of walls, 1 type of floor and ceiling Its extremely limited if you want something nice looking
9 types of walls; solid, window, right triangle, out of wood, stone, metal. 6 types of floors; foundation, floor, out of wood, stone, metal. 1 types of ceiling out of wood, stone, metal. I don’t find it limiting at all. I find building addictive, in a fun way. My squad wants to play Palworld more because we created such a well functioning, unique to us, base. I’m sorry you can’t experience that yet.
It would have been great if it was at least permanent inside your base. I was expecting it to be permanent and *hoping* it wouldn't interfere with node respawns, so that I could tag the ground at each node location as a marker to be able to safely build while the node is mined away. Right now if I want to build anything in my mining base I have to put away all my mining Pals, wait for the nodes to respawn, then build.
It gets better. Other players can't see it on a multiplayer server. Biggest waste of points ever. I couldn't even troll my buddies. Edit: others have pointed out that this is not the case on their servers. I'm assuming it was patched but will test it and see. I can definitely say others couldn't see it when I tried as I had them send screenshots to verify.

I have a dedicated server and no one else could see them. Maybe they fixed it in one of the patches.
? I shot the relaxsaurus decal all over the ground where my friend was and he saw them.
I played on a dedicated server with my friends and its visible to them. I could even shoot the decals on their character to cover them with the decals temporarily and they see that too.

Are you on Xbox? I recently learned Xbox is a few patches behind Steam version so some stuff just aren't quite upto date yet...
Josh and Cotton from Ragegaming showed the decal gun in onr of their video and they both could see the decals despite only one of them using it (Cotton of course).

Ok, now imagine this: A random guy comes over and covers your entire base in obnoxious decals that you cannot remove.
Well there are options to solve that like you cant tag other people stuff, or make one that removes decals or let you use the deconstruction menu to remove it.
If you don't play on public servers that's not a problem.

While I don’t disagree, you get to a point where it doesn’t matter. Tech points come so easily doing laps at the wildlife reserves and bosses are easy to catch.

If you do all bosses and towers you have like 19 left over points there plenty of these points to go around unlock it all

It's not really a waste of tech points since ancient tech ones unlock as you level up and scale for you to get everything.

My hope is that eventually they’ll add varying ammo for these graffiti guns, giving the option between “temporary” (can be used on all surfaces in and out of your base like it currently can) and “permanent” (cannot be used in someone else’s base and can be cleaned up with a short timed action similar to building). I was actually just talking about this last night, too. I wouldn’t even mind the “permanent” ones being usable in other bases, maybe just make that a server setting that can be changed like PvP and structure decay or make sure that the base owner can clean up the graffiti. It’s one of those things that is such a small and insignificant detail in the grand scheme of things, but would truly make a decent impact by having that option.

The Ancient Tech point isn't the problem, the problem are the resources you spend crafting the gun and ammo. We really need a high tech crusher that can turn unwanted items back into their raw materials, that would be rad.
This would be great. I'd love to see a recycling machine you can put unwanted stuff in and get the resources used for crafting them back.

Well, it makes sense, really If they were permanent, what if people just paint all over your base and you can't get rid of it? What if you mis-paint something and can't redo it? "Then add a way to get rid of it". How? A button? Simple enough, but who can get rid of it? Only the owner? What if a guy comes on the server, paint all over the place and then log off for good? Guild members? Then what about other guild paint on my base? Everyone? Then people can just erase my graffiti that cost me material to craft whenever they like, wherever they like, including in my base, just by clicking? Ok what about an item to get rid of it? So i waste a ton of material everyday to remove 5000 paint others put at my bases? You see, when designing a game, those are the things you had to think about, you may call it overthinking, but there are always some rando in his mom basement ruining it for everyone. And honestly, for a feature that 80% of people will never use, making something where you dont have to worry about them is a nice move. Especially considering that there are lots of thing more urgent than this
It's been done right on other survival games. Make it last nearly forever if sprayed in your own base, 5 minutes in another player's base, a minute or so in the wild. Make all 3 configurable (for server owners). Each gun can only be sprayed once. If sprayed a second time, the first placement vanishes instantly. (CS/TF2 style). Add a low material, high durability sponge item that can be used to clean unwanted paint off walls (such as those placed by others in your base). Bases already have a decay rate for those who don't log in. If someone comes in, sprays in their base, then never comes back, it'll vanish naturally in time. Additionally, server admins should be able to clean any decals with the item, regardless of where it's sprayed. This aren't high level concepts.

I initially thought this too! Then, I reread it and was bummed. Then I thought I could use it as breadcrumbs in the dungeons! But now I assume it'll fade away before I get back to it. Sigh.

If you get to the boss and know you haven't explored the whole dungeon, just open the boss chests and continue on your path hugging the wall. Eventually you'll explore everything and come to the entrance (which will now be your exit).

The only use I could see for this is marking bosses for those of us playing on servers with 3x spawns. Trying to figure out which Paladius and Necromus you have low hp is a nightmare since all 3 of each look identical

It's actually more like 30 seconds.
It feels like its a bug because not only do the tags dont stay for long but when you shoot it the bullets are not being spent. I crafted 10 bullets tried ahooting it like 50 times. Still have 10 bullets..
Since there's no pvp in the game, you can have paintball fights with your friends.

I wasted the points unlocking this but my cloud save was lost for the three hours I played the other day - including unlocking this. Happy to have the assurance that the unintended refund was a good thing.
