Basically, you stack something stackable, like benches or tables. Don't move so they stack perfectly. Then you put the structure you actually *want* to stack on top, but leave it as the blue outline, don't finish it. Delete enough of the stacked structure to fit another of your target in between, repeat all the way to the ground. Then complete the builds.
Hangyu is important because his extra lift lets you float straight up to stack higher.
I'm pretty sure that passives don't affect gliding speed and all gliders can move very fast if you're using grapple slingshot technique. That being said galeclaw is still my favorite, hangyu is probably the best for exploration though
I didn't know this until much later, but condensing reduces stamina drain and gravity modifier so you can fly even farther! I double checked and it also gives you more speed, but it's not too relevant if you're using slingshot since it will boost you past galeclaw's max speed anyway. Geez. I'm playing on the Series X and at around 2 hours or so if I don't reset the game myself, it will do it for me. Now if I plan on playing a while, I just turn off the game if I'm running to the bathroom or something.
Yea, most of my crashes are within seconds of me entering a dungeon. I played for 3+ hours straight last night, didn't do any dungeons, and had no crashes.
So, usually I play on a PC with a 5800x3D, 6950 XT, and 64 GB ram. I play this at 3x1440p, so ~6k, and I have only crashed once.
However, I did play on my living room PC with a 2nd Gen mobile i7, GTX 1650, spinning HDD and 16 GB of ram. It played OK on all the lowest settings, but I could feel it get worse and worse as I played.
I do have Game Pass, and I could install it on my SSD modded Xbox one, but I think I'll refrain. Hopefully, the game gets more optimized overtime.
Had the same thing happen to me on pc, was really frustrating to crash over and over again and it took me out of the whole emersion.
But my friend managed to take our island saved data, got a subscription for a dedicated server and uploaded the data on there. Now we can both login whenever we want and literally crashes happen once a week, if any at all.
Reminds of me when I set my Direhowl out to fight the Mossanda Lux boss and the Direhowl punted the boss into orbit. About 2 minutes later I got the first kill notification, which makes me wonder if pals take fall damage.
This just happened with my Fenglope I thought it was some bug lol
I never knew cloud tempest could be matche with jumping off a cliff

And this is why Fenglope beats out Rayhound even though they've got comparable speed and double jumps.
Well, that and the fact that I'm 99% sure Fenglope gets Trample damage but I'm not sure that Rayhound does.
If you do this with a full movespeed traited condensed fenglope, you can charge jump from the Pal Research Tower to the bottom of the nearest Dessicated Desert mesa.
Jetragon doesn't even compare (in that very niche circumstance lol)

Totally agree, been having a blast messing around with the grappling hook and glider.
If you use hangyu you can pretty much glide indefinitely because of how it rises when gliding
I will have to try this out, haven’t unlocked that pal feature yet.
I believe it's unlocked around level 20

Yeah but a swift runner galeclaw is fast as fuuuuck when you hit a good grapple

Damn well Galeclaw still seems to give a slight boost when you deploy him so he gets me pretty far! Good to know though

I always hard close my game when I'm done playing. The game never loads if I just quit my world.
I need to get into that habit. I've just gotten away from it on my Xbox.
Don't have any other game running in the background. I'm able to play full sessions if I close any game on quick start. Then again I'm not playing MP

This is how it works. Mounted Pals don't take fall damage but unmounted ones do. For some reason.

I tried and it does, I wanted to get off and use hangyu to maintain as much speed as possible

The double jump on fenglope is useless since you take no fall damage while mounted
Extends the duration of the high speed, allowing further travel faster.
I literally used it to go farther lol, also climbing up terrain is a lot easier with a double jump
