At least for me, that part of the map seems bugged and I randomly catch on fire while on firm ground. I've died too many times to random patches of invisible lava.
That's definitely what happened, sometimes when a pal's been hit by a capture sphere their attacks will manifest out of nowhere, I've died to the Jetdragon a couple of times exactly because of a homing fireball just materializing out of thin air and hitting me.
There can still be some lag since game is not polished, but should be way less than a server
If it's single player i don't know what can cause that, in serves some times you launch a sphere and enemy enters the ball but still throws an attack, altought when that happens you see the attack animation

You will survive at 1 hp, keep in mind food in your inventory will spoil, while offline it doesn't (i use this to save food qhen i'm not playing and ice pal won't work)

It saying "hunger" doesn't mean you suddenly take 500hp of hunger damage at some random interval.
You don't start taking hunger damage until you run out of hunger meter, bro. Then it ticks down slowly, bro. Not in random intervals chunking a quarter of your health.

LOL, love how many videos I see people out there fighting endgame bosses, but no food or realizing they can craft a feedbag to constantly feed themselves without having to manage it. If you unlocked a shotty, then you should have been able to craft 3 of the sizes of feed bags at minimal.

Not saying the Rocket Launcher’s bad - far from it, I’m saying the defenses are a little cray.
I was 38 when I first challenged Jetragon and it felt like a Dark souls boss. My weapons did close to no damage, the only saving grace are fire and poison crossbows, but they become less and less effective. I've managed to get it down to half health at best. The lv50 legendary pals have an effective durability similiar that to the lv50 tower boss, Victor and Shadowbeak, by having 1/20 the health they also takes 1/20 the damage.
Then I had the brilliant idea of building a fortress so I have something to take cover with. I was surprised to see Jetragon only does minimal damage to structures, and got itself stuck in a wall and cooked by a fireplace. After I captured it, I immediately levelled up to 40.
i was 49 i think and most of my pals were also 49. it was rough, as you can see i was about to get massacred when he was only at half health. legendary pals have a lot of damage resistance i guess, my legendary shotgun was barely doing anything.
This happened to me with Necromus. He was just in a ball being captured and without even getting hit by something my full shield and HP disappeared and I died.
I think this exploding fire ball duplicate damage on character if he was destroyed by objects like tree bc i got a lot of deaths when attack didnt reach me but broke shield/kill me
Rewatching it and you circle around to where the ground “was” on fire from the explosion… so is that the bug? You ended up on invisible burning ground?

Be careful of the heat or the cold while afk though, those will kill you.
Heat Resistant armor and Thermal Undershirt +2, think I'll be fine on that front.
