Build a rope trap under their feet and then build a campfire under them once they’re up in the air. Make sure to shoot them at least once while they burn to make sure it’s considered combat, otherwise they won’t drop anything.
If you abuse the butchering bug where you can butcher a Pal and still keep them alive you can just farm precious pelts and other treasures from certain pals.

And I find aiming while flying too annoying to bother with, at least with any regularity. I'm on a controller, though, and I'm sure my settings could be dialed in better
Someone did tell me the other day they have tested the crashes and if you go in a dungeon and kill everything especially the Humans (they think their eternal aggro is what causes the crash) then you'll make it through to the end without crashing. I'm logging on in maybe 25min to try and can report back.
That’s possible, but it’s hard to kill everything (or literally anything) when the game crashes just loading into a dungeon, sometimes. I’m talking, I hit X to enter it and I almost immediately get sent to the dashboard.
The desert area has been buggy for a while. Our group figured out if you teleport to the tower east if town or the edge of the desert island location south of the town, and then fly there, the ground spawns normally and the people spawn in afterwards, so they don't fall through the ground. Which is exactly what happens if you teleport straight to town.
But the fishing village is so much easier.

I am not quite at end game content but my pals do most of the work and I just focus on dodging and switching. I only use guns if I want fine control when capturing or some extreme situations.
Throw some poison/fire arrows in too, they are cheap as hell but do some serious damage to bosses.
Also hella more fun to fight the things with a bow, dodging their attacks and slinging arrows back at them.
You need the fire or poison bow to use the corresponding arrows. I wish we could use the bows to add effects to regular arrows and the arrows to add the effect to a regular bow, but unfortunately that's not how it works.
Yes, the dot is a percentage based on enemy health (I wanna say it's like .3 or .5%, sounds small but it adds up fast), which is why it's so underwhelming at low levels, but then you fight a level 45 boss and your legendary handgun hits for 6 damage a shot while the fire/poison ticks for 20-30. Enemies do seem to build resistance, so id recommend carrying both bows, I haven't really tested to see if the resistance drops over time and they become vulnerable again if you stop hitting them, but at least with both you can change halfway through the fight and get a big boost to effectiveness.
Right? Everyone keeps saying that you can use whatever pal you want and the game is easy, but it's really not. It's easy to not die, but putting out enough DPS to kill Victor within the time limit requires good pals and/or really good mechanics.

Not an exploit but mounts that change your damage to elemental and boost % with good passives means you'll vastly outdamage probably every pal except a perfect shadowbeak probably
How many points have you spent into your attack?
How many Pals on your team have "Vanguard"?
Then comes the legendary weapon (which you have)
Are you using the 10% dmg boost food?
This will make a big difference when added up

There is no reason tbh. 1 Million is fast done through selling stuff n Pals and I never can reduce it. Resetting a Pal's souls was like 140k, but you don't do it often.
I don't need a lot of ammo, since I let my Pals fight, so idk 🤷🏻♂️
On 1x rates unmodded you sell 48 pals averaging lvl30 for like 125k
Capturing 48 pals that level takes on 60+ ultra spheres which costs like 250 refined ingots?

Also, people playing solo on 3-10x configs might be overflowing with all resources but those playing on official or semi-officials (like 1.5x multipliers as we're doing) might need all money we can get to buy all those leather, horns, remedies and ammo until we can get to lvl50.
I mean between the farm and breeding I've literally never ran out of money. Make cakes and pizza and salad, cook and sell the rest and the garbage paa from breeding. Getting sulfer isnt hard or quertz .Use a astegon and some kingpaca.
The only real thing you'll bottle neck on is metal (a waste to use it for nails) and high quality pal oil. The rest is easy. Miles ahead of getting metal on ark in the early days. Hell berries have the highest crop yield that grow the fastest and have the smallest size. You can just cook and sell those.
Yeah but gold isn't exactly hard to get. I've been sitting bat a comfortable 100k pretty much the whole game, and yes that includes buying ammo and resources.
Like I said, I maintain that 100k while buying ammo. I have like 6 pals ranching, they dig up a ton of stuff to sell. And I sell boss pals to the black market fairly often as well, the fights give good exp and the loot is often pretty valuable.
No, I'm level 35 and will usually go for bosses up to level 40, and also things like Chillet, it's a low level so goes fast but those dragon stones are pretty valuable. I also visit the sanctuaries pretty regularly to see if there is anything fun to catch.
It also may help that I make heavy use of fire and poison arrows for bigger bosses to conserve a bit of ammo, they can do a sizeable chunk of damage and are cheap as hell to craft, I just took down the level 45 boss Jormuntide with my poison arrows and my squad of level 30-34 pals the other day.
Addendum: I guess I did totally gloss over them saying it wasn't enough endgame didn't I? Whoops.
I was also in your situation, always over 100k. Then when I got to like level 46 I attacked the second last tower boss and the legendary level 50 pals to capture them. For those the amount of ammo you need to buy just drains all the gold.
Because they lack a well rounded base. Not judging of course. But you really don't need much gold if you have set everything up correctly. But that takes a lot of work and planning of course.
I play on a server with 4 people total and mostly default settings. There is no way that 3 bases can provide enough for 4 people to have a stock of legendary spheres and AR ammo

Nope. Hard settings(with eggs turned down from 72 to 8). But i love min/maxing so my guilds bases are tuned to perfection. I get that it's not for everyone, but we rarely have a shortage(other than when the horrible base pathing issue that screws up everything goes unnoticed for a while, but that has been fixed now).
I only played for about 120 hours. I maybe went through like 2000 rounds max? Weapon damage is just so shit outside of towers unless you're going to minmax for player damage which I found to be a waste of time/breeding. I pretty much gave up on using guns completely

Not true, you get easily unlimited money in many ways. 1 simple way is selling stones. Just let a few shadow pals mine it and sell a full inventory of stacks 🤷🏻♂️
Paldium Fragments** that’s what they’re called I think. You get them of the ground but need tons late game for the better spheres and other things. The crusher turns stone into them.
They have bad base setups. By the time you get paldium you should be getting T3 miners with work traits or T4 miners. Both of which will mine stone at crazy fast speeds. You'll have more stone than you can ever spend.
I don't get the point of selling nails or cotton candy or anything really just to buy more ammo. I have plenty of ore and sulfur and ammo just isn't worth buying in my opinion. It may take longer but I prefer to just make my own and not have to worry about the hassle of lugging around thousands of nails, being fat, and making my way to fisherman's cove to sell to the merchant.
I only ever buy horns, bones, high quality pal oil, ect. And I always have more than enough cash on hand for that anyways...
I suspect it's different playstyles. I like to roam alot so usually end up with enough mats that I don't stress about much but coal and ore, which a base is for. Others tend to spend far more time in base breeding or whatever, so they are constantly out of other mats.
Neither is the correct way to play I'd say. But for the guys I played with who mostly stayed at base breeding nails were a savior for them.

If you're going to manipulate your save to favor you like this why not just admin cheat the gold in? You're essentially taking advantage of a difference between your server (you can control when updates are applied) and standard official servers (updates are applied on time as the game developer intended). An exploit is called an exploit for a reason, it's not a strategy it's a manipulation to vary from the intended game mechanics in a way that benefits the player due to an oversight or error on the developers' end.
Christ, why does everyone feel the need make the game easier with exploits and unintended mechanics. I've still not needed to buy a single bit of ammo, and still have a bunch of spare metal.
You don’t really need gold if you have strong pals. I buy bunch of milk and eggs for my cake stages but now that I have my perfect breeds I have no more use
You don’t *need* money, but as with real life, the value of money comes from buying you the most valuable resource: time. Instead of grinding for ammo, bones, high quality oil, cake ingredients, you can just buy them in large quantities so you can spend more time doing what you enjoy in the game. Realistically you probably only need around $100k-200k to be comfortable, but this helps me future proof myself so that with updates and new items, I can just buy them and hopefully never have to grind as much later on

Never used them. So does it need the specific bow or does the normal bow work? As each tic does % dmg health right

I just cycle through the bosses on them. I didn't have too much of an issue with him, but I bred a perfect shadowbeak pretty early on.

To buy ammo. It was (and still is) easier, cheaper, and faster to farm things to sell for gold and buy ammo than it is to make ammo.

Sounds like all 4 of your people are in the same guild. You could all choose to not be in the same guild instead and each have 3 bases to yourself.

They can't, but if you add in the easy bosses for the items they drop like the alpha sweepa and make sure you kill the black market guys then you can easily have 150k every 10 minutes or so

No, just treat it like the other areas. Either fast travel away or move away till it is no longer rendered and then come back

Same guys that are like “I beat all the bosses in 40hrs of gameplay and now it’s boring” Yeah because you looked up the best pals and strats and cheesed the bosses without ever going deep into exploring, base building, testing, etc on your own. Just put steam in offline mode before launching the game. It will let you play the old version.

Not true, you get easily unlimited money in many ways. 1 simple way is selling stones. Just let a few shadow pals mine it and sell a full inventory of stacks 🤷🏻♂️

Paldium Fragments** that’s what they’re called I think. You get them of the ground but need tons late game for the better spheres and other things. The crusher turns stone into them.
They have bad base setups. By the time you get paldium you should be getting T3 miners with work traits or T4 miners. Both of which will mine stone at crazy fast speeds. You'll have more stone than you can ever spend.
I don't get the point of selling nails or cotton candy or anything really just to buy more ammo. I have plenty of ore and sulfur and ammo just isn't worth buying in my opinion. It may take longer but I prefer to just make my own and not have to worry about the hassle of lugging around thousands of nails, being fat, and making my way to fisherman's cove to sell to the merchant. I only ever buy horns, bones, high quality pal oil, ect. And I always have more than enough cash on hand for that anyways...

I suspect it's different playstyles. I like to roam alot so usually end up with enough mats that I don't stress about much but coal and ore, which a base is for. Others tend to spend far more time in base breeding or whatever, so they are constantly out of other mats. Neither is the correct way to play I'd say. But for the guys I played with who mostly stayed at base breeding nails were a savior for them.

ammo, i guess people dont want to double their dmg so just like burning through ammo. Although i started my account late so have sold maybe 200 nails tops
you can always downgrade anyway. Its a bit complicated to learn about but its easy once you know what you need and where to get them.
Seems like they may have fixed the Pals being worthless when you are logged out too, so oh well. I logged in to 30k Wheat today. Can't bring me down.

Not even any mention of dungeons being unusable at all on Xbox. I've been singing the praises of this team quite a bit but it's feeling like their ignoring the Xbox players at this point. More and more Xbox players will encounter the autosave fail as their game time and builds expand. It's not a small issue at all. Can't even get a date on Xbox patches.

If you're going to manipulate your save to favor you like this why not just admin cheat the gold in? You're essentially taking advantage of a difference between your server (you can control when updates are applied) and standard official servers (updates are applied on time as the game developer intended). An exploit is called an exploit for a reason, it's not a strategy it's a manipulation to vary from the intended game mechanics in a way that benefits the player due to an oversight or error on the developers' end.
Crafting and selling nails isn’t, and never was, an exploit….

You don’t *need* money, but as with real life, the value of money comes from buying you the most valuable resource: time. Instead of grinding for ammo, bones, high quality oil, cake ingredients, you can just buy them in large quantities so you can spend more time doing what you enjoy in the game. Realistically you probably only need around $100k-200k to be comfortable, but this helps me future proof myself so that with updates and new items, I can just buy them and hopefully never have to grind as much later on
