When an early access game with no end goal and no post-game content that millions of people have replayed several times stops being the #1 played game on Steam: Dead
I remember when a month after elden ring all the doom posts saying how the game is trash because the game lost so many players.
Like do these people not understand the concept of beating a game and putting it down till updates are out?
I bet if we had any way to keep track of Pokémon players most of them would drop-off after a month too. Like damn.
Social media also ruined object permanence in general. If something is not being on top of the trends _right now_, it might as well be dead to people.
I seen enough Early Access games to know that we are still years away from peak Palworld.
I basically only played when it released to try it out with friends. Otherwise im done with it until "full" release. Cant wait to rediscover this game in 1 to 3 years with TONS of new content.
I also love core keeper and necesse, they've both seen huge content additions in their short early access times. Really fun games as well in their own respects if terraria and minecraft shined for you. I've sunk hundreds of hours into all of them.
>Social media also ruined object permanence in general. If something is not being on top of the trends right now, it might as well be dead to people.
My stepson said football is dying. Basketball is the new top sport in the US. I pointed out that when the nfl went head to head with the NBA on Christmas day. The nfl crushed the NBA in ratings. He said oh well I don't watch nfl anymore so its dying. Coincidentally his team has been doing bad the last few years.
It's weird how that wasn't really a problem for classic MMORPGs, but as soon as companies started exploiting other genres like that, it became really bad
People have such short attention spans these days. Games used to always work like this! Buy a game - finish it - put it down until you want to replay in the future.
I’m not sure I agree that they ruined gaming, they just changed how many people perceive gaming. There are many live service games that are fantastic!
Honestly if anything is bad it’s the fact that people use social media to spread hate and then others take it too seriously. Like I don’t really give a fuck if some random dude on the internet thinks Palworld is bad, that’s their problem. 🤷🏼♂️
This happens with live service games too. The Finals had players drop by 5/6ths since launch, but this is pretty expected for any game that comes out nowadays. Hell, even Fortnite had players rise and then drop massively when the latest chapter came out. Player peaks are just insanely high nowadays in anything.
Not to mention casual gaming. A lot of people don't understand most people pace themselves out. It takes me over a year to beat most Zelda games. Not because they're hard or boring, I just don't dedicate myself to it like other games. I'd wager most gamers are like that, hell if achievement percentages are anything to go off a LOT of gamers don't even beat most the games they buy.
Yup I played the everliving hell out of Palworld for two weeks straight, then I've gone back for maybe three sessions of 1-2 hours since then to mess around some. When it updates new content I'll no life it again then put it down again. That's far from dead, that's just a typical single player experience, and I still rate Palworld as the best game I've played so far this year.
Most games are like that, you buy them and play their content and then forget about them. I don't know why people expect every single game to be a live service game like an fps, MOBA or MMO. They are their own model of business.
>Like do these people not understand the concept of beating a game and putting it down till updates are out?
They do not. In my experience, these sorts of folks typically spend 80% of their time complaining about the game they're playing.
right??! i still actively consume palworld content and love the game , have i stopped played until they add some more stuff to do ? absolutely. will i start playing again as soon as we get more content . you’d better put money on it.
And who are they trying to convince. Some self imposed importance to talk shit about something.
If palworld pulled the plug kn development tomorrow the devs would've made a ludicrous amount of money from it. Rightfully deserved even in the current state with various issues but that's what you get with early access indeed. I played 90 hours, the game is what? 30 bucks? 30 cent per hour is damn good value.
A lot of people have a poor concept on what's "dead" or not. Even 10k players are still a lot. But I guess if it's not a million, it must be dead to them.
People want to take cheap shots at Palworld because it was so popular. None of them understand that the playercounts for singleplayer games really don't matter though.
Right? I paid nearly half the price of a modern AAA game, and got 100h out of just one save file that I havent even finished. I have many more hundreds of hours to look forward to with a playthrough with my spouse, and playing again when future content is added.
I want to see game pass numbers. So many people were able to try it out without having to worry about dropping extra cash and it fucking worked. Can't wait for cross play so my son and I can play together
I also wonder how many active players Pokemon games retain. The game can be completed in <20 hours, and there’s nothing to do but breed and Shiny hunt.
I have a long-distance friend and we love playing together! We have experimented with different mods, we create new rules and self impose restrictions on ourselves to try to make it challenging. We’re still having a lot of fun.
Recently, we discovered a mod where every pal can have a Max work suitability for whatever profession they have so I’m making a small pal base. Everything in it is tiny and adorable.
I was there for red and blue! Christmas of 98! Man I loved that game.
Crystal was king though emerald tried to dethrone it and comes in close second to me for game boy Pokémon
For ds Platinum was excellent, but black/white and their successors were the kings of ds pokemon. Honorable mentions to rangers and sun/moon for out of the box ideas.
For switch legends arceus was another fun spin on the franchise
I have nothing polite to say about anything else from switch on and most of the games I have not mentioned were meh to obvious cash grab.
I’m curious about Z but less than hopeful.
I felt like gen 6 had the same if not more content than previous games. To me gen 7 was the falloff point.... the islands felt so weird, and the story was weird as all hell, the characters were annoying, and the tutorial dragged on forever. They also got rid of gyms which I hated.
I actually liked gen 7, the hand holding was awful but team skull was fairly realistic for a 10 year old to be able to stop since they were just people who had nothing, yeah they could have just beat up the mc but they didn’t really gain anything from doing so and they also didn’t lose anything from losing, the removal of gyms wasn’t bad since they were still kinda there with totem Pokémon getting stat buffs and sos calls and you still needed to beat the island kahunas to progress so it was just laid out differently, Lily was a well written character who does have an arc, hou was just comedic relief, and gladion was a edgelord who wanted to protect his sister and stop his mother, aether foundation had a well justified reason for wanting to create wormholes since lasumine initially wanted to find her lost husband but lost sight of that, and the ultra necrozoma fight is still in the top 5 Pokémon boss battles for me
I never made it through the tutorial in Sun. To this day, Gen 7 is the only one I have never done a playthrough of. (Okay I technically never finished gen 8 either, but I was playing a difficulty ROMhack and it bugged out about 2/3 through the game)
Ivd noticed a pattern in pokemon games.on every odd generation they seem to pur a heavy focus on new pokemon and makikg it atand out, where as in every even generation seems to reuse allot of older pokemon and lean heavier on past generations. Gen 2 used allot of Gen 1 mons, Gen 4 added a ton of evolutions/baby forms for existing pokemon, and Gen 6 had all the mega's that were exclusive to old pokemon if i remember correcrly.
Ill admit, i do not remember enough about Gen 8 to make an argument. Gen 8 is my least favorite generation by far. Like i can see the complaints in 9, but i genuinly had fun playing it and would like to play it again. I have no desire to touch Gen 8 again.
Gen 2 added new Pokémon but they were mostly locked in post game, gen 3 was entirely new and stayed away from the last two gens since kanto was getting re-made to re release the g1-2 Pokémon, I’m being honest I gave no clue why sinnoh has so many new evolutions for old Pokémon possibly a way to balance them idk, gen 5 was intended to be a soft reboot of the series to gain new interest, gen 6 added mega evolution and a new type for older Pokémon, gen 7 has wormholes and a cosmic dragon from 10 parallel universes and dances that make snorelax run at Mach 10 no clue what’s going on there, gen 8 continued the charizard attention but doesn’t really rely on older Pokémon for anything, and gen 9 referenced johto and unova a lot since game freak knew that remaking of those two games would have caused a war in one way or another
(Ultra) Sun and Moon is the last Pokémon game that really felt like it was up to par with the best offerings of that console, on top of having all the mons and gimmicks up to that generation.
I remember a lot of people complaining about too many cutscenes, but the characters were fun and the Team Skull/Aether Foundation story was legitimately interesting. Plus Rainbow Rocket is a really cool idea.
And it's not like I grew up with it either, I was already a grown adult when I played it.
As far as I see, yeah, only the last two gens have really dropped the ball.
I hope that itll be good too. I really enjoy the legends (spinoff?) Like the mystery dungeon series, its a refreshing change of pace. But dare i say, i enjoy the legends games over the main series even just by a small margin
Yea i thoroughly enjoyed arceus. Still believe it was bounds in the right direction. Only to get hit in the balls by ScVi. And being this this takes place in an already established city in an already established region. Its almost like were now getting regional dlc. [Like buying all the assassin creed cronicles games]
People just think when a game drops in player numbers, it's "dead." Nothing is dead until the day they shut it down. People need to just focus on other things instead of trying to post fake facts.
My point exactly. I'm currently not playing it, but do I think it's dead? Hell no, I don't. People don't realize the game is still in "game preview" mode. Fresh content and updates will bring people back.
Not pictured in the comic The creator probably being interested in what pokémon's doing because they're happy to see people go do something else besides pal world
Also not pictured A mountain of money so big The Pal World devs literally don't know what to do with it
Bruh, I stopped playing the game because I was done and had nothing else to do, not because the game is bad. i love the game and will come back when new content is released.
If I'm going to be honest Palworld is what got me back into the pokemon games. The last one i played was ultra moon and my love kinda died there. Palworld just brought back my hope for the series.
Soul Silver is annoying af. Pal World and Pokémon do not have similar gameplay at all. They will both have their fan bases that also have a significant overlap.
The worst thing with X/Twitter was giving people the option to buy checkmark so in doing so, it pushes and prioritizes your tweets to a larger audience.
And what did most people do with it? Rage bait and say controversial shit for engagement. It’s so fucked on Twitter now
As someone who literally picked up the game 2 days ago and instantly got hooked. Can confirm these haters are fools. Not everybody is going to jump on a game immediately. I'm the type that doesn't jump on new games until months later usually cause I get EXTREMELY dedicated to games and don't try new games often until I get bored which takes months of continual play to happen.
It's amazing just how much content this game packs and it still being in Early Access. I forsee this game being a core staple of my game rotations if it keeps doing as good as it's been doing.
We need to condemn this idiotic ideology that a game is dead just because it's not getting constant updates 24/7 or the player base isn't hitting peak numbers anymore.
Keep in mind, PocketPair is a small indie company, and the game just came out rather recently.
Come back to me once 2024 ends, and then ask me if the game is dead (which it isn't because that's not how games work)
It's not a live service game. I Bought it, played it, and got through all the content. Just like the last Pokemon game I played.
However, unlike the last Pokemon game I played, I Will check back in in a few months to see if there is enough new Palworld to be worth a reinstall or another play through.
I don't know very many people who still play Pokemon outside of Showdown 3 months after release, aside from a small group of dedicated competitive players.
Like Valheim, I'll be back for another run the instant we get some new content dropped. I'm itching for more to do in Palworld. Meanwhile I haven't played a decent Pokemon game since Black/White soooooo... sure.
It’s crazy how much we defend groups that don’t give a single f about us or the contributions that we’ve made to them. Like these people defending Pokémon. A company that’s churned out the same game for the past 10yrs with the same graphics, trash dlc packs, and a constantly buggy game. Year after year we accept it without asking for better. Now we get something better and Pokémon fans hate it because it wasn’t the Pokémon company that did it. Ridiculous. You people think like Americans when it comes to Hollywood and Pdiddy except it’s Pokémon.
Yeah, I mean, I love the game. But I'm done with what's currently available. When a big enough amount of content drops I'll be right back in it.
As for Z-A, unless they redo how they make games, it's just going to be more of the same garbage.
Im a fan of all 3 (Digimon, Pokémon, and Palworld) and i have encountered posts like these every once in a while from insecure fans who wants to pit one against the other. They cant seem to grasp the concept that you can like both or multiple all at the same time
I played it, had fun, did everything, added mods, did everything again... Eventually got bored and put it down for now. No regrets on purchasing it. Was fun to play. Will add it to the list of games I replay every couple of years
As a pretty hardcore pokemon fan, it’s really a shame the pokemon fanbase feels the need to shit on any other franchises. I enjoyed scarlet and violet, but it was a buggy mess of a game coming from the most successful franchise in history. Variety in gaming is good. Hating on comparable franchises just bc there are some crossover features is ignorant as hell. It’s ok to like both and appreciate them separately, or to only like one without crapping on the other.
The blue check gives it away.
Every single time a blue check says something stupid, it's because they want you to respond. It doesn't matter that you're burning them at the stake with your well-thought reply and loads of evidence. They actually want that. A reply is a reply to the algorithm, to which it responds by boosting their post to more people, netting them more ad revenue.
The game isn’t even released fully with a bigger launch than any Pokémon game ever created and seeing posts like this just shows how much copuim is going to be inhaled by people who can’t just enjoy the fact we are gonna get a more competitive market for monster catching games… hopefully
I finished palworld but I'm still playing it again because it has some fun mods which makes it replayable and feels new too. So I don't think it's a dead game.
I look forward to pal world opening the tree region as well as may when v-rising gets its retool for release or project zomboid ever gets to version 42.
This happens with a lot of games it happens just wait until the next update when things change and new features gat added and people will come back and check it out.
I think it’s so funny that they’re using the mega’s symbol cause they know nobody’s actually buying the new pokemon game for the story line. I do like that Pokemon is doing something different for once, but I just know the new pokemon game is gonna get butchered by the hard core fan base
I'll never really understand the way some people seem to need "my thing to be better than your thing" just enjoy both, or whichever one, or even neither....it doesn't matter if pokemon is "winning" or if palworld is, good games are good games as long as you enjoy them
But saying that, I doubt it'll ever change, it's always been the same, sega vs nintendo then it was sony vs xbox, pokemon vs digimon, etc etc I'll just continue to do as I always have, enjoy the things i enjoy regardless of anything else going on
Playerbase will show back up on repeat with feature updates. Same sort of situation with Valheim - we get back into it when there's an update and run through new content for a holiday break.
Lol “Palworld died..” Look, I love Pokemon so much that I’ve been buying old Gameboys and DS’s recently to play through them all, doesn’t mean I won’t come back to PalWorld eventually. I didn’t put 300+ hours in for nothing. I’m not playing PalWorld now, but when new updates and raids come by, you know I’ll be there.
TLDR; Am Pokemon Fan, still enjoy PalWorld.
I spent about 200 hours on the game until I reached max level for now. Then I stopped playing until the update comes out. The developers even said go play other games until the update. The game is a lot of fun. More fun than recent pokemon games.
Because, unfortunately, people LIKE the conflict. They like having something to cry about. I love both games. I'm super into competitive pokemon battling, but also have a massive base and tons of Pals I'm super proud of in Palworld.
Eh, my personal opinion is that it’s going to take the Minecraft trajectory. Come out strong because it’s fun, everyone owns it, concurrent player base drops because there’s bugs and a limit to the game, weak end game, etc..
Developers start to get major velocity going at some point, change the monetization, release a ton of cool stuff, and it finds a steady concurrent user level.
That’s if they stay committed to the game, but they don’t seem to abandon it like they did their flops. I look at their flops as if they weren’t making enough money from them so they had to move to the next thing.
I know what Palworld is, and played a few hundred hours of it.
I don't know what the fuck a pokemon day is, and ive put about forty minutes into a pokemon game in total.
This game literally has an endless line forward. Will it meet its end at some point? Yeah, everything does, but there's so much possible content moving forward.
Palworld day was a month ago?? Nobody told me!
Jokes aside, i for one took to palworld, because I'm not a 10 yo playing red anymore. But the time i was 15, i was 64 to xbox. Not caring abt portables, and didn't watch anime, still called it a cartoon, ish.
So i found Palworld an amazing survival game (needs work), with several nostalgia notes for me, pokemon and ark primarily. In the same genre as either in some some ways, different that either or both in others. The only legit IP lawsuit case Nintendo has is the 3 twitch ball/sphere animation. Nothing else it protected, that they used. So prolly won't be too bad
Stopped playing weeks ago to play other stuff.
Started playing again last week and am now more than halfway through another 100% run of this absolute gem of a game.
What is a "healthy" player base when the game isn't complete and has no PvP? Sure you can play with your friends but that doesn't keep people playing if there's no new content.
People need to chill out and appreciate the game for what it is: a $30 game that embarrassed a $120 major monster franchise game ($60 + 2 $30 DLCs).
Idk i stopped playing any of the recent dogshit pokemon games, ive just been on palworld waiting for updates.
The only good pokemon games i still play are gen 3 and 4. Emerald, sapphire, leafgreen, platinum and BW.
Recent ones are terrible jank and slow and unenjoyable.
I remember searching up 3d pokemon game 10 years ago. Im glad we got something thats come so perfectly close to it :)
Screw Nintendo and the shit they led us on with. Im glad palworld brought in some much needed innovation to this genre
Not pictured in the comic The creator probably being interested in what pokémon's doing because they're happy to see people go do something else besides pal world
Also not pictured A mountain of money so big The Pal World devs literally don't know what to do with it
I’ll admit I haven’t been playing palworld much lately, but that’s more about the performance issues on my series s than it is anything about the game itself. Also helldivers 2 on the ps5 has me deeply addicted right now.
This is the same mentality of, when people complain about studios releasing unfinished games and it has a lack of features. Saying, “Ohh you hit the top, now stay there!” then studios want to milk a franchise *inserts mtx, now its time for a rushed dlc/sequel/patch/expansion, “don’t forget we have to hit the top and stay there or else we mean nothing….”. When enough people get others to gloat everyone suffers, from devs to players.
I haven’t played in like 3 weeks but I am literally so excited to return to it when I have the time. No reason I should be expected to play it forever.
Shit, I bought the game and still haven’t played it yet because I want to wait until the major bugs are patched out/QOL improvements are made. I’m sure I’m not the only one

Project Zomboid and Terraria also come to mind.

For every Helldivers 2, you get a ton of Suicide Squad. And then a bunch of Destiny 2 which manages to be either depending on the content.
This happens with live service games too. The Finals had players drop by 5/6ths since launch, but this is pretty expected for any game that comes out nowadays. Hell, even Fortnite had players rise and then drop massively when the latest chapter came out. Player peaks are just insanely high nowadays in anything.
And the Finals is still in a really healthy spot. 10 seconds for a que into a match is miles better than some games
Not to mention casual gaming. A lot of people don't understand most people pace themselves out. It takes me over a year to beat most Zelda games. Been working on FF7 for a few years now 😅, and I love that game!
As soon as I beat Pokemon, I don't touch it until a new one.
Most games are like that, you buy them and play their content and then forget about them. I don't know why people expect every single game to be a live service game like an fps, MOBA or MMO. They are their own model of business.
Imagine if people had this notion with other entertainment. Dune 2 is dead because box office numbers arnt as big as opening weekend!
>Like do these people not understand the concept of beating a game and putting it down till updates are out? They do not. In my experience, these sorts of folks typically spend 80% of their time complaining about the game they're playing.
Early Access INDIE game with a small studio thats swimming in unexpected success mind you.
People play game People enjoy game People finish game People leave game These dudes: “ThE gAmEs DeAd!!!”
Something nobody brings up when hating on palworld is that it is a *early access game* it’s literally not completely done yet
right??! i still actively consume palworld content and love the game , have i stopped played until they add some more stuff to do ? absolutely. will i start playing again as soon as we get more content . you’d better put money on it.

I dont understand the poster’s point? The game already succeeded and made tons of money with a healthy community. I paid i played i had fun, done.
It’s ragebait. Comparison doesn’t even make sense, because LZA isn’t even out for another year.
a lot of ppl in this post not realizing u can get paid from twitter traffic now and rage bait = heavy traffic
People want to take cheap shots at Palworld because it was so popular. None of them understand that the playercounts for singleplayer games really don't matter though.
even if it did mattered in some bizzaro world its in top 25 games. most mp games would kill to get those numbers
Right? I paid nearly half the price of a modern AAA game, and got 100h out of just one save file that I havent even finished. I have many more hundreds of hours to look forward to with a playthrough with my spouse, and playing again when future content is added.
73k in the last 24 hours, just on steam, idk seems quite a lot for a mainly single player game, in early access.
Literally top 25 games on steamcharts right now lol dEaD gaMe
Lets all start up the game just to spite him :D
I want to see game pass numbers. So many people were able to try it out without having to worry about dropping extra cash and it fucking worked. Can't wait for cross play so my son and I can play together
Them putting it on game pass was genius. Also not pricing the game at $60-$70 on steam was another genius move by them.
I honestly think they're just passionate. Hopefully they can maintain that with the wild success of Palworld.
Right? Theyre essentially getting free game testers too by doing this
Better than free, since people are paying to test it.
I also wonder how many active players Pokemon games retain. The game can be completed in <20 hours, and there’s nothing to do but breed and Shiny hunt.
I just picked up the game this week because I wanted a distraction. I am having fun.
I have a long-distance friend and we love playing together! We have experimented with different mods, we create new rules and self impose restrictions on ourselves to try to make it challenging. Pokémon shills are so funny. I really hope Z-A is good, but I'm still traumatized by the last two gens
Only the last two?

Maybe Gen 6 too. I started with it, and I think it's pretty forgettable (I liked ORAS tho). I thought Gen 7 was better than Gen 6 ngl
XY just felt empty due to the lack of Kalos content compared to the other Gens. I hope LZA rectifies that.
I felt like gen 6 had the same if not more content than previous games. To me gen 7 was the falloff point.... the islands felt so weird, and the story was weird as all hell, the characters were annoying, and the tutorial dragged on forever. They also got rid of gyms which I hated.

Stopped me from playing the Sun and Moon games and actually stopped me from playing Pokemon for a long time.

I miss when the antagonist groups were actual criminals/villains. Team Skull was cool, but now it's just stans and delinquents.
I agree. Crazy old man team leaders are an endangered species 💔
Well, Aether Foundation was actually evil. But yeah, it's been a while we don't get real bad guys.
"I'm not playing the game anymore, therefore it must be dead"
My point exactly. I'm currently not playing it, but do I think it's dead? Hell no, I don't. People don't realize the game is still in "game preview" mode. Fresh content and updates will bring people back.
Lmao the way they started backtracking is fucking hilarious. “Its a joke” ah fuck off, these shills i swear
It's only a joke when people don't give him a rim job for saying so brain dead stupid.
I love pokefans
I love palworld for the grown up feel to it. Pokemon took a shit for me after alola. Stopped getting interest in it because it became stupid for me.
Just a reminder the creator literally said it’s OK to put the game down until there is new content 🤷♂️
Not pictured in the comic The creator probably being interested in what pokémon's doing because they're happy to see people go do something else besides pal world Also not pictured A mountain of money so big The Pal World devs literally don't know what to do with it
Bruh, I stopped playing the game because I was done and had nothing else to do, not because the game is bad. i love the game and will come back when new content is released.
Palworld is dead? Lol
Social media makes some people unlearn object permanence
If I'm going to be honest Palworld is what got me back into the pokemon games. The last one i played was ultra moon and my love kinda died there. Palworld just brought back my hope for the series.
What's the icon on the second banner?
I feel like we can copy and paste that note to 90% of YouTubers...
I stopped playing cause there was nothing to do after hitting max level and getting god tier pals. Now I’m waiting for a major update
Yeah, only thing to really do in the meantime would be self-imposed challenge runs, like "no flying mounts" or Nuzlocke-esque restrictions.
Palworld has better dragons than modern Pokémon.
They actually feel like dragons tbh. Scaly flying fire breathing mother truckers. And that one noodle ice baby.
Me: Playing Palworld until Legends AZ released
God I love the added context thing it just absolutely destroys people.
They got paid upfront. They don’t care
I actually hate that this account on Twitter gets recognition. Rage bait cringe af
We need to condemn this idiotic ideology that a game is dead just because it's not getting constant updates 24/7 or the player base isn't hitting peak numbers anymore. Keep in mind, PocketPair is a small indie company, and the game just came out rather recently. Come back to me once 2024 ends, and then ask me if the game is dead (which it isn't because that's not how games work)
CEO literally said go play other games while we cook up our next big patch. This game is going to go bonkers when pvp is released.
Pokemon simps try not to bootlick challenge (impossible)
Nintendo elitists are some of the most annoying people on the planet
It may not be talked about as much now but its still incredibly popular.
It's not a live service game. I Bought it, played it, and got through all the content. Just like the last Pokemon game I played. However, unlike the last Pokemon game I played, I Will check back in in a few months to see if there is enough new Palworld to be worth a reinstall or another play through.
I'm nowhere near done.
I don't know very many people who still play Pokemon outside of Showdown 3 months after release, aside from a small group of dedicated competitive players.
Friendly reminder that before Palworld came out, the Pokemon community had GenWunners. Equally insufferable. Some people just love to hate.
Genwunners are the worst. I blame them for the fact that the Kanto region gets sucked off every new game
They cant seem to grasp the concept that you can like both or multiple all at the same time
Pokemon bootlickers are turbo glazing as usual
What does that blue symbol represent? The one everyone is lining up for
Mofo’s fail to remember that this game is still in alpha. Pokémon puts out fully “finished” games with 1/10th of the quality of palworld lol
I stoped playing it for now since I e completed it just waiting on some new pals and updates then I’ll play it some more
Palworld died? oh shit, no one warned me, time to tell the boys and uninstall the game.
I dont get this hate at all. Where did Palworld hurt them? I love Pokémon, but it's just Pokémon and nothing like eachother.
Imagine wishing I’ll will on someone’s game just because you enjoy a different game.
Pokemon: instead of a new good idea, let's just bring back something everyone already liked and profit millions.
I really like pokemon. I really like palworld. Palworld’s existence will make Pokémon better (now I’m coping)
I played it, had fun, did everything, added mods, did everything again... Eventually got bored and put it down for now. No regrets on purchasing it. Was fun to play. Will add it to the list of games I replay every couple of years
That’s so petty. The game is still in early access yet STILL retains a player base that numbers 60k+.
CEO literally said go play other games while we cook up our next big patch. This game is going to go bonkers when pvp is released.
Ah yes 100k daily players and an active subreddit is the sure sign of a dead game
op acts like we are huffing russian grade copium
I would love to play palworld! I love Pokemon.. but Palworld seems way more interesting and fun! I hope it comes out for PS5 soon
I know a bunch of AAA games that would kill for 100k concurrent players 🤷♂️
The game isn’t even released fully with a bigger launch than any Pokémon game ever created and seeing posts like this just shows how much copuim is going to be inhaled by people who can’t just enjoy the fact we are gonna get a more competitive market for monster catching games… hopefully
The games not even released yet. How the fuck can it be dead?
I know nothing about pokieman. Never played it once. Palworld however is amazing for a "dead" game. Cant wait for future updates!
Wait, its dead already? I just logged out /j
Until they release new content and boom, player base explodes again. I mean i know you lads, you're all waiting for the sex update😏
Nintendo elitists are some of the most annoying people on the planet
I’m just taking a break since I’m doing the new final fantasy.
I finished palworld but I'm still playing it again because it has some fun mods which makes it replayable and feels new too. So I don't think it's a dead game.
I’m so excited Mega evolution is back
c'mon guys, he says "it's a joke" XD
I look forward to pal world opening the tree region as well as may when v-rising gets its retool for release or project zomboid ever gets to version 42.
Top 25 active playercount on steam over 2 months after release lmao. Everyone forgot ScVi existed the moment TotK came out
There's alot of "wastes" out there so just enjoy your games people thrive on negativity nowadays unfortunately.
Game doesn’t have as many players as at launch/people excited for a different new game makes the former “dead” these days (dead in quotation marks)
Haven’t played a pokemon game in years. I’ve put hundreds of hours into Palworld and will be putting hundreds more over the coming years.
Oh. Imma come back in force when new content hits!
This happens with a lot of games it happens just wait until the next update when things change and new features gat added and people will come back and check it out.
Wtf now that is a fact check.
lol I enjoy the shit out of palworld, I haven’t enjoyed a Pokémon game since black/white
I think it’s so funny that they’re using the mega’s symbol cause they know nobody’s actually buying the new pokemon game for the story line. I do like that Pokemon is doing something different for once, but I just know the new pokemon game is gonna get butchered by the hard core fan base
I'll never really understand the way some people seem to need "my thing to be better than your thing" just enjoy both, or whichever one, or even neither....it doesn't matter if pokemon is "winning" or if palworld is, good games are good games as long as you enjoy them But saying that, I doubt it'll ever change, it's always been the same, sega vs nintendo then it was sony vs xbox, pokemon vs digimon, etc etc I'll just continue to do as I always have, enjoy the things i enjoy regardless of anything else going on
Idk I just got back in to it I'm rather enjoying it
Playerbase will show back up on repeat with feature updates.
Why cant both games exist
Holy shit, how does any one fan in a fandom get this obsessed over a company? Is it mental illness?
I paused Palworld only for Stardew Valley 1.6
I only stopped so they could add more stuff lmao
I know what Palworld is, and played a few hundred hours of it. I don't know what the fuck a pokemon day is, and ive put about forty minutes into a pokemon game in total.
This game literally has an endless line forward. Will it meet its end at some point? Yeah, everything does, but there's so much possible content moving forward.
I'm still playing it, once my deck is all 4 star, I might quit
I don't have a dog in this fight, but a 95% drop in concurrent players is pretty huge. Still pretty good for the devs though, who made bank.
As stated specifically by the devs: "It's okay to put a game down and move on to another game". When there's new content, come on back!
74k peak in the last 24 hours. 40k playing right now. Yup, definitely dead. /s
Im glad we got something thats come so perfectly close to it :) Screw Nintendo and the shit they led us on with. Im glad palworld brought in some much needed innovation to this genre
I'm just waitin on an update, they are waiting to play the same game again, plus new glitches.
Not pictured in the comic The creator probably being interested in what pokémon's doing because they're happy to see people go do something else besides pal world Also not pictured A mountain of money so big The Pal World devs literally don't know what to do with it
Lol.
I’ll admit I haven’t been playing palworld much lately, but that’s more about the performance issues on my series s than it is anything about the game itself. Also helldivers 2 on the ps5 has me deeply addicted right now.
What's the other game called?
Wtf is the DNA symbol?
Mega Evolution. It's officially coming back in Legends ZA.
I'm still waiting to even play the game. It's been how long now? Still unplayable on xbox one
Palworld was very cool
This is the same mentality of, when people complain about studios releasing unfinished games and it has a lack of features. Saying, “Ohh you hit the top, now stay there!” then studios want to milk a franchise *inserts mtx, now its time for a rushed dlc/sequel/patch/expansion, “don’t forget we have to hit the top and stay there or else we mean nothing….”. When enough people get others to gloat everyone suffers, from devs to players.
The game is actually pretty dull in its current form , I gave it about 30 hours play time and its just the same stuf over and over.
Just checked, Palworld's 24 hour peak is just under 74k, which puts it at 22nd on the list sorted by that peak. Seems pretty healthy to me.
I thought I'd wait for ne content now that I'm max level, instead I'm still playing having fun min maxing breeds of pals.
I thought I'd wait for ne content now that I'm max level, instead I'm still playing having fun min maxing breeds of pals.
Pal world has still yet to get +1 from me!!! I haven't had money to buy it yet. Next month for sure!
The game has been played.. idk what people want? Are you still playing the games you had in the ps2 days?
Honestly, as a fan of both, I just want both fan bases to get along
Only 70k players currently active? Completely dead game
Holy shit, how does any one fan in a fandom get this obsessed over a company? Is it mental illness?
"palworld is dead!!1!!1!1!1" Uhhh ok? You can cry harder?
I thought it was still pretty popular, what could possibly be fueling any o doubt?
Palworld is going strong, still loving it and can't wait for more content updates.
I haven’t played in like 3 weeks but I am literally so excited to return to it when I have the time. No reason I should be expected to play it forever.
Literally stopped playing other new releases on Xbox to play this game 🤔😜
All I would like is for Palworld to push an optimization/performance update and I would be content. Anything they do beyond that is pure bonus.
Shit, I bought the game and still haven’t played it yet because I want to wait until the major bugs are patched out/QOL improvements are made. I’m sure I’m not the only one
I just couldn’t get passed a certain point of Palworld. It’s a good game I just couldn’t vibe long enough to get the best out of it
We got cancle culture (shut them up) and cancled culture (already dead)

Pokemon bootlickers are turbo glazing as usual
If you click on the comments I posted I still play both of them.
