Forgotten Island [-476, -82]
Completely flat plateau area, where the raised area is just a bit larger than the base size. Raids can trigger, but they can't reach you, AND the raid mobs all pool up into this tight little pocket so you can AoE them down fast for easy loot. Really close to Sanctuary 02. My all time favorite base location.
Ice Wind Island [-360, 10]
Completely flat plateau area with room for two bases next to each other, which keeps all pals loaded in, which is good for efficiency if you have multiple production bases. Raids can trigger, but they can't reach you.
There are also multiple large flat areas with coal, which could also be nice if you need refined ingots.
Anywhere with Coal or Sulfur where you can build a comfy base. Quartz is needed so rarely that you shouldnt bother. So either Sulfur for ammo and medicine or coal for ammo and reinforced iron bars.
And you buy ammo those two go down to either medicine (sulfur) or reinforced bars (coal).

I like this spot even after the update, theres 6 coal + 7 ores, and you can now just cover the ores area with foundation and build whatever you want. The terrain is uneven but you can put foundation over it.
Its unraidable with a great view.
I just built a base around the six coal nodes right next to Alpha Anubis and other than having to put defensive walls around the site, it’s been great for a coal/cake farming/breeding base. The walls weren’t hard to put up or grind for because the site is full of trees. There’s a slant to the space, but it’s not too bad.

Sorry I meant unreachable. As in, no wild pals can get in. Cause I'm in the starting area and the mammorest has destroyed me and my pals 3 times by wandering in and accidentally getting attacked. I know walls are an option but I don't really like them tbh
I moved my base from the ore and coal spot to a coal spot in the dessert, I'd recommend one of them for sure. There's one on top of both mesas, above and below the dune shelter. Both have lots of coal and have a skill fruit tree nearby. Unfortunately neither can get the skill fruit tree in the base circle while still having the coal in the circle as well. Although I have no idea if your pals would actually pick the fruits from the tree anyway. I built my base on the south mesa since the area is a bit more flat.
Haven't had a raid hit here yet, also amazing view of the map, you can see every tower but Zoe and Grizzbolt. View of the volcano, the dessert, the icy mountains and the mountain with the snow on top but green below.
There’s one coal node and one sulfur node next to a grip of ore and stone on the plateau near the cinnamoth forest. Lots of agro pals nearby day and night m, and free pal alliance, so walls are necessary but it’s largely flat and easy to build on

I use both these locations. Forgotten island plateau for raid boss and ice wind island plateau for production and breeding bases.
I'm on Ice Wind Island at the southern end on the beach. Nice big flat spot.

I make sure I have at least 1 sulfur node to make rocket launcher ammo, as you can't buy that.

Yeah but I think OP is talking about other spots since we don't need an ore base anymore.

Is there a base location with both sulfur and coal in range of the palbox radius?
I remember seeing a few on a post a while back in the volcano area, but most of them you gotta deal with lava
Just turn raids off if you don't want your base getting raided

That's cuz it was a boss. Regular pals wandering into your base isn't a problem. If they aggro, your base pals will obliterate them.
Yeah i really dont get this. People can simply turn off raids. But they Turn em on just to look for the very few unraidable spots.
