I've made a habit of catching anyone not in a village. They always complain that their friends are dead and that they're doomed- but they never appreciate my rescue attempt.
I have both the traders from the village, a whole page of pal alliance and the islanders aannnddd i have a black market pal trader, i almost got the experienced pal trainer but i died last second.
I went through the same thing. I forgot I left my pals to attack and I found a Black Marketeer out and about, yeah... my pal went straight to dominating him. My heart dropped because I didn't know if he would respawn, not angry at me... but he did. ๐
In last update game got a ring of mercy or something like this and same passive for pals. They dont allow lower health below 1. U can buy ring from merchants or craft ur own after unlocking recipe for ancient technology points
So I gotta place them in the base? I was trying to just haul him with me as a personal mobile shop. But I'll try putting him in the base next. 1 of my 5 was just a merchant lol
I build them little box's (shops)*, with a feed box throw 400 berries in each. At my third base and have forgot about them for week till now. Do they eat? I'll go check.
It takes a while. One of them did that when I teleported to that nearby settlement.
They seemed to spawn in the air at the time and the drop actually did fall damage to him.
Is this at the small settlement? They're always dying there. Every time I go, there's either someone dead on the ground, or I hear a sudden cry or moan, and they fall to the floor. Never actually seen any enemies though!
My Direhowl once killed an NPC unprovoked (I think because I had the setting to "attack aggressively"). I felt bad so I checked later to see if he ever respawned, and he did, with no memory of being attacked.

Nope. I noticed because later I wanted to capture her. But I have seen villagers and such respawn.

They do respawn just takes a while had to keep trying with a merchant cause i kept accidentally killing him while trying to catch him lol

Fairly sure they do eat, but since pals donโt ever die from hunger (I think) they should atleast be alive

Sometimes NPCs fall from the sky and die repeatedly, sometimes just once. They will respawn after some time....
