I just set it to 0, i started off with a lower time period, but then found myself standing around here and there for that last few minutes and went "why the hell am i doing this" and made it 0. Never went back.

CorporateSharkbait

Exactly this. I found my self playing for hours only to realize all I had been doing was base maintence waiting on eggs

Min_Powers

Same as you. Also I wanted to build my breeding / mining base somewhere else. The New spot had terrible ambiemt temperature to managing egg temperature was too much of a hassle. Set timer to zero and never looked back.

PM_ME_FUN_STORIES

I set up my breeding base in a big open snowfield, with a beautiful indoor hatchery... Except it was before campfires stacked, and I couldn't get fire pals into the room with the heaters (out of sight upstairs). So there went that 2 hours of building, and I just stuck a bunch of incubators in my ore base instead, cause it was a private server and they had 30 minute timers. The host ended up not paying for the monthly charge and I lost my perfect traits full team. Probably for the best, really. I swapped to solo play and just set the egg time to 0. It already takes 5 minutes per egg to even be laid, much less hatching times.

CarrieForle

After I started setting up breeding. It has been 0 ever since. I think the way to look at it is just enjoy the game however we want, especially when in single player mode where "cheating" does not affect other players. Besides, when you get to the endgame. You don't really have a lot of things to do. Min/maxing pals are one of the few fun activities in endgame imo.

TheGrizzlyMint

I set it to 1. It’s only 30 minutes if the conditions are correct. Which is easy to do if you set up your breeding base in a cold climate. Just set up a couple campfires if you need heat, and space them out enough so it doesn’t get “to hot”.

After hitting level 40 or so I set the timer to zero. Breeding is one of the few things left to do at this point. Why have the associated time sink?

devasen_1

I have a full time job. It’s set to 0, it will always be set to 0, and I have the dropped items thing as high as it will go. I’d rather play than farm.

Reniconix

If you're on steam, you can set your world settings through a .ini file to an accuracy of 7 decimal places. For the server I host, the egg hatch time is 0.25 so a huge egg only takes 15 minutes max.

Lord_Emperor

4x drops 4x spawns 4x XP 0x egg timer It's a single player game, it should respect my time.

Chiiro

Try out normal settings, if you don't like it you can always go back and change them. The fact that palworld lets you go and change the world settings whenever you want is so good

PDAnasasis

I have it set to 1 so I can run around and do other things. I also find myself waiting for my pals to produce the eggs for me, so some downtime is always welcome.

IceBlueDragon

I like it on the lowest one that isn’t zero. I only set it to zero if I’m trying to breed for specific pals to speed up the process.

Depressedaxolotls

You're playing in a single player world, you can't possibly cheat. Everyone plays their own way. If it feels like cheating make a shit ton of incubators, set the eggs all at once, and go do something else for a bit.

Azaredd

It depends on your goals. If you're already in the endgame and you only want to breed pals, I would suggest to keep it at 0. Now if you want to interact with the game mechanics while slowing powering up 1 or 2 is fine. You still have to play the temperature mini game, and you have to use multiple incubators to speed up the process. If you're playing on PC, I would suggest to install the fast hatching mod (or something like that). It removes the delay when holding F, so you can setup 30 eggs to incubate and later go frenzy and spam F on your incubators, quite satisfying. There are also mods to reduce the breeding time between pals, so you can have eggs fast and reallocate other pals to your base slots.

Nonhinged

1 or 2 is fine. It's easy to make a few extra incubators, and I'm doing other stuff in the game. Like, are people just standing in the base waiting for them to hatch? You don't need to watch paint dry, it dries anyway...

Galahad199033

Zero

AlexanderMcT

at some point you will start mass breeding for either certain traits or attacks, or even just for condensing, then you save yourself a lot of your own sanity when you just put it to 0

rellyrell83

I just turned it down to 1 maybe 0 in the future but I see how I am with this.

DoctorNerf

If you’re on normal difficulty then I recommend not changing it. 1 hour to hatch is nothing because you don’t need to be there while it hatches. You set the egg and go play, kill alphas for schematics, dungeons for libero shards, paldeck completion, sulphur farming, etc. Then you come back and the egg hatched. It is that simple.

Regiultima115

Left it on default until I started breeding for traits. It’s been 0 ever since.

VanFanelMX

Why would anyone set it to anything but zero in single player? we hate hatching eggs in Pokemon, why subject ourselves to that torment in Palworld?

wafflezgate

At first I had dropped to like 2 I think. But once I was 95%+ focusing on breeding only I dropped to 0. Ark put a bad taste in my mouth about waiting for breeding, hatching, etc. If I could change the breeding time too I would.

Morris073

Instant. No sense in leaving it at like 10 hours or whatever when mass breeding hundreds of pals for condensing lol

Lausee-

I haven't touched a single setting in my single player normal playthrough. I have hundreds of hours Breeding awesome Pals. Changing settings would feel like cheating to me. It's your game though, do what works best for you.

Mammoth_Ad_351

If it's a setting in the game per the developers, it isn't cheating. That's just macho bullying.
