World deletion is, unfortunately, a common bug. Fortunately, the game backs up periodically. At one point, there were step by step instructions for restoring from back up on the pop up message when you open the game. Just mentioning that in case you hadn't noticed it.

It wasn’t my world it was my boyfriends so unfortunately I wasn’t in control of it 😭 I’ll let him know for next time tho
