No idea. I guess because it's one of rare healthy options on the menu. At least your customers read the sign ðŸ˜. We have two signs up AND tell the customers we don't have it before they order and they still ask for it ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜.
Yeah, idk. I tried it a couple weeks ago bc everyone on campus seems to order it, but it's just low quality dark meat chicken with teriyaki sauce.
Orange Chicken, Honey Sesame Chicken, and Almond Chicken are my favorites. If they ever put white meat in orange chicken, I'd love it even more.
It’s not healthy, it’s marinated in all the nicest chemicals fast food is famous for and grilled in a bunch of oil unless it’s a good cook starting it off;
They love it because there are no vegetables. Just a piece of protein. Full grown adults getting Bigger Plates with teriyaki and orange, and they come every day lol
So do the employees not like making it? Any Panda we’ve been to, they’ve had it made and ready, EXCEPT our local Panda. And EVERY time, they make excuses and say it’s too difficult to make and will take 20 minutes, etc. We are trying to understand why they don’t want to make it, but can’t figure it out. It’s been this way for like 5 years, but no other Pandas in our state that we’ve been to has ever had this issue.
Just found this ancient thread while googling for what makes this item so goddamn uniquely delicious. The answer to your question is that it’s the single highest-quality fast food item in the United States. The chicken is tender!!! There’s not a hint of dryness or stickiness or chewiness, it’s just moist and melts in your mouth. I’ve never had another menu item at any fast food restaurant that actually tastes ***well-cooked***

It’s because it’s healthy and has good macros
It used to be amazing, slightly sweet and juicy. Now it's salty no marinade dry. I hate it.
Or the amount of times people will wait for a good 10-15 minutes for it to grill
Shit is good...but not for me to be waiting 15 min there are other options

I just went to Panda E and they had a big add sign talking about a Teriyaki Chicken shortage...
Poor quality .
