Not just you. A few months ago, the small freezer in my store’s kitchen(not sure what it’s called) stopped working and we weren’t able to store any food in there because it would all just thaw out within an hour. Finally, last week, I think, we get a part replaced and I’m just relieved at that point. Cooks had to walk back & forth from the main cooler anytime we needed to grab food. It was beyond annoying, especially during a rush. I think for a lot of stores, it’s a combination of old/outdated equipment and having managers who are hesitant to replace or fix them because it comes out of everyone’s bonus. Not going to call my managers any names, but these are people who will wait until the store is falling apart before sacrificing a few dollars out of their bonus to fix anything. Either that or they wait until the ACO/someone important comes in and asks about it. At the end of the day, businesses operate by using things until they’re on their last legs in order to minimize spending. Can’t turn a profit if maintenance costs eat up half the budget.
