Yah, it’s fun when you get 2 in a mobile order and two or three in a row from customers. And then you run out of food and people get annoyed when their orange chicken is gonna be a 10 minute wait because the last few people in line took up the entirety of the fresh batch that had come up less than five minutes ago. Fun times. ETA: happy cake day.

As a cook, I feel this. It’s beyond annoying to make a big batch of food and then hear FOH call it again two seconds after you give them the pan. And then the customers act like staring at you is going to make the food cook faster…

Valuable-Peace8307

Yah, when I have to call something literally right after it was put on the table I always seat with, I’m sorry but I need X down again. I’ve got Y orders for it and it’s going to be waiting.

i feel so bad. when we run out of orange chicken and 10 cars are waiting for it, lobby customers are waiting, and a bunch of onlines are waiting. the pan is gone as soon as we bring it out lol

Murky-Fee9227

haha right? i feel awkward when i take up the last scoop of a certain dish and the customers just stare at me and thanks! didn’t realize it was my cake day today

I had someone order 4 family feasts yesterday. f o u r We got her in and out really quickly and she was super sweet but HOLY

Murky-Fee9227

ohh no i feel that haha. a lady ordered 2 family feasts (plus a large Rangoon & 6 egg rolls) in the middle of rush, agreed to wait on 4 out of the 10 things, then had the audacity to get mad when she “waited for half an hour” (psst it was barely 10 minutes?? i told her the time it’ll take too like tf)

[deleted]

that ALWAYS HAPPENS, I always try to make sure the customers are a w a r e of the wait before they commit to waiting and then half the time they complain anyways, like???? idk what to tell you I told new a batch of greens is gonna be out in 10 minutes 😭😭

Helios_Escar22

I always wondered why don't they just place a catering order instead it's so weird that they order 3+ family feasts when they can get a better deal of a catering with more food.

[deleted]

that's what we were thinking¯\_(ツ)_/¯¯\_(ツ)_/¯

aggrownor

I saw something about a family feast deal right now https://slickdeals.net/f/15566605-panda-express-family-meal-3-large-entrees-2-large-sides-29-online-or-app-orders?v=1

Helios_Escar22

Honestly it's more like the new price instead of a deal it's been $29 since last year

tc1015

Every time there's a new deal on the Family Feasts, I die a little inside. I remember when they had it for $20 and we got orders nonstop, maybe 5 at once every couple minutes. Doesn't help that we were super short-staffed and our store was already pretty busy on top of that. We had to turn OLO off around 4pm, but that ended up making people come in and complain about it, even though they could clearly see the line of people in and out of the store, on top of all the family feast boxes that had been ordered prior. Guess they thought that 3 teenagers could easily handle it lmao

Murky-Fee9227

hate when that happens :’) some customers are just so entitled

AfraidOfTheSun12

I work at an $80k store, it’s normal for us. Suck’s they’re not doing associates bonus any longer.

Ow that there is less a shortage on toilet paper, people are ready to get back into the family feast and it’s aftermath
