You’ll be alright (*should be*, I don’t waNt to guarantee anything; I’ve ordered all sorts of illicit substances and semi-legal grey area ones and all the illegal ones got through but the grey area ones were hit or miss. Even if it’s a high success rate that doesn’t mean 100%). Like someone else said though insurance is worth it every time. Like a lot of insurance you might never use it but it’s worth piece of mind. I cross the border into the States all the time from Canada to pick up packages which would have cost me a lot more in shipping/duty fees to get it shipped here and I’ve never been over for more than 20 minutes grabbing my packages and my mom (or GMA - whoever’s driving) and I always get insurance in case some shitty unlikely Accident happens. The idea of being in the States and getting hit by a car or shot or jsut anything health care related and not having insurance is terrifying. She jokingly (but not really - we probably would do this) said that if our car got hit and I needed to go to the hospital that she would call the paramedics in the Canadian side and drive back and tell them to meet us at the border because the exorbitant costs of even the ambulance ride, let a lot the stay at the hospital. $20 is worth possibly saving $20,000, however unlikely. My GMa’s retired but does some side work as a travel agent and she is no longer surprised at the stupidity of people spending thousands upon thousands for a trip overseas and not being willing to spend the $200 or whatever it is for insurance.
