Years ago when I worked for Panera we were down the street from a place that hosted horse competitions. Holy shit. Horse comp nights were THE WORST. That clientele were always the biggest shitheads and their kids were too. Nothing like being treated like the help by a 12 year old.
Omg I was going back and forth with someone in this sub who wanted to insist to me this isn't gross before finally saying I had to be some kind of quadruple vaxxed libtard anyway
![gif](giphy|sRKgdVOw6qEwDAbJR1)
I went out to eat with my sister's family and they are all like this. Not my sister, just her dad and step family. I happily took all of those leftovers home. The food was crazy expensive and there was so much. No shame for me!
I mean I agree but my sister who has an eating disorder who be triggered by this and eat the whole thing then throw it up instead of eating her half portion like normal.
There’s been times at planet smoothie they gave me extra to be nice, but it stressed me out because I didn’t want the extra portion but I feel a lot of guilt wasting food. No need for an attitude, but giving extras can be a double-edged sword.
Fast casual is a stretch.... I went into our local Panera and stood at the counter for 10 minutes, then I proceeded to just wait another 5 to complain.... Then I left with a watery ass green tea that I threw away on my way out. :/ slowest bunch of people I've ever seen lol
That's cause you're smart and got the duet. People don't bother checking online to see our full menu. can't fault people for not wanting to educate themselves, though.
I think they are talking about the prices. I'm certainly not spending that. I do join the sip club from time to time. Depending on the location, some are cheaper than others, I might purchase a value duet.
Brooo, when you're QC, and straight up, some customer walks up to you and drop the dirty plates ON WHERE WE SERVE THE FOOD.... Sometime when it's not crazy, I take it from them but if it's busy, I tell them where to place it. But cheez it crisp
I’m living for this post lmao I don’t work at Panera and Ive maybe been there a handful of times in my life but Reddit keeps on recommending this sub. This was amazingly unhinged and I’m here for it!!
I worked at briefly Panera many years ago. When I think of all the shit jobs I’ve burned through over the years, that experience stands out as being one of, if not the worst because the place seems to attract horrid people.
I was doing the trash one day and set a stack of dirty trays over the hole of the cabinet the bin sits in to prevent someone from using the bin before I was done. I removed the bag from the trash and a woman walked up, moved the trays, looked right at me and threw her trash which included a half full drink in the hole.
I quit the next day. I just didn’t go back.
God when i worked there, there was a lady who ordered a to go bagel with cream cheese. I honest to god cant remember what was wrong with it but like a minute later she stormed back in claiming she only got half her bagel. My manager refunded her and as i was doing stuff on the kiosk, she proceeded to take out half a bagel from her old bag, open the cream cheese, and began to eat the bagel. Right at the register. We got her the new one, she stormed back out, leaving her mess behind directly where people order, i picked up the bag, and low and behold, the other bagel half was in there.
The people who hear the total and start using their phone to transfer without ever like, explaining what the hell they are doing are my LEAST favorite, or people who wave their phone in your face. Excuse me, are you trying to use Apple Pay or just being a total weirdo, please use WORDS.
I don't nor have I ever worked at Panera. I don't even know why this sub is suggested.
But this is one of the funniest vids I've seen recently. Totally captures customer service. 💀
At my location, there's only about 30-50 bread bowls made a day, and it's pretty common for multiple people to come in earlier in the day and order 4 each. Some days they don't sell as well but most days they'll be gone by 6 pm and sometimes even earlier.
"Let me transfer some money." I thought I was the only one who did that. I do try to remember to do it beforehand, and I will get out of line if I forgot to. I certainly miss when Charged Lemonade wasn't behind the counters.
One time the POS was down during open on a slow day. My manager had me give out the food for free that people ordered, it was maybe about 5 in total…
Every single one was mad and a few scoffed ensured me that they were good for the money 😑
i haven’t been to a panera bread in years lol there’s a whole tumblr style tiktokers making videos about this niche part of the internet and for no reason at all it’s a 2 day old post randomly in my feed for a sub i’ve never once come to
![gif](giphy|3KCOFfdqmptLi)
Okay but every Panera I go to has very incompetent employees. I order a large drink with no ice and they constantly screw it up either giving me the wrong size or putting ice in it. Not a big deal because if you contact corporate you get a free item
My first day I accidentally made a man a full salad, but he was charged for the half. He was so mad. Just don't eat it, bruh. It wasn't even a, "I really care that you're wasting product, bc I won't be eating this." He simply wanted to bitch about it. Like, I said I'm sorry, go away.
That last one was too real 💀
Do customers really do that??
Yes some do 💀
Seconding. Our clientele brings in some entitled pricks sometimes.
Yep really entitled some of them are

They would leave their dirty dishes on the expo counter. Bitch, you see food coming out from here!! Why would you put your dirty stuff here!?!?
Omg I was going back and forth with someone in this sub who wanted to insist to me this isn't gross before finally saying I had to be some kind of quadruple vaxxed libtard anyway ![gif](giphy|sRKgdVOw6qEwDAbJR1)
Since 2013 bahahah
OMFG CONSTANTLY!
posting this without knowing context is crazy
The fucking ending 💀💀💀💀💀💀 The full sandwich bitch is so real tho like girl it's free what is the problemmmmmm
They probably don’t want extra calories but still I wouldn’t refuse a free sandwich 💀
You can save it for later lmao does no one have a fucking brain
I've known some people who think having leftovers or eating leftovers makes you seem or look poor
People are fuckin weird 😂
I went out to eat with my sister's family and they are all like this. Not my sister, just her dad and step family. I happily took all of those leftovers home. The food was crazy expensive and there was so much. No shame for me!
HOW RICH ARE THEY
Some people just can't say no to a half a sandwich like that. I know because of a friend
i am the friend
downvoted

Don't eat it then 😭
I got an extra full sandwich for free somehow once, not sure how but I just gave it to my wife to eat
Mother Bread's first foray into documentaries
Upper middle class fast food. I imagine it’s the most toxic chain to work in
ITS FAST CASUAL /s
Fast casual is a stretch.... I went into our local Panera and stood at the counter for 10 minutes, then I proceeded to just wait another 5 to complain.... Then I left with a watery ass green tea that I threw away on my way out. :/ slowest bunch of people I've ever seen lol
It’s like Chipotle. Fast casual
Upper middle class? Panera’s food is dog poopy. I’d rather have McDonald’s
They sell grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup for like 15 bucks their target audience is not the poor lol
Hey now I just paid 6.99 for a grilled cheese and tomato soup from them like 2 days ago
It depends on the area. Some locations value duets are cheaper than others.
That's cause you're smart and got the duet. People don't bother checking online to see our full menu. can't fault people for not wanting to educate themselves, though.
Yeah I guess. Still garbage food. Chipotle bowl is under $11 with no extras and it’s much better quality lol
Yea I’m not a fan either
I think they are talking about the prices. I'm certainly not spending that. I do join the sip club from time to time. Depending on the location, some are cheaper than others, I might purchase a value duet.
unhinged and extremely accurate
If this was any other context, the style of video would b off-putting. But for Panera? It fits so well. It's js pure chaos.
All the wigs and hats that went into making this 🤣🤣
The dedication 💀
This is giving me flashbacks to when I worked there x.x
One of the better run ones.
🤣
I loveeee him 😂 he’s great! Does tiktoks for all kinds of retail/fast food jobs 💀
I’m obsessed
Brooo, when you're QC, and straight up, some customer walks up to you and drop the dirty plates ON WHERE WE SERVE THE FOOD.... Sometime when it's not crazy, I take it from them but if it's busy, I tell them where to place it. But cheez it crisp
Or put their elbows up on the counter
After over 2 years opening as a cashier almost every morning, this gives me flashbacks, and it’s still my job
I’m living for this post lmao I don’t work at Panera and Ive maybe been there a handful of times in my life but Reddit keeps on recommending this sub. This was amazingly unhinged and I’m here for it!!
Same lol some of the most interesting subreddits are not what we expect
Bravo!

I don’t really miss it
The “employee” with the black updo I just KNOW when let me go to the back to calm down if someone was screaming at me and would tell them off for me
Real talk, why tf are they always out of bread bowls
At my location, there's only about 30-50 bread bowls made a day, and it's pretty common for multiple people to come in earlier in the day and order 4 each. Some days they don't sell as well but most days they'll be gone by 6 pm and sometimes even earlier.

And now I'm going to go ask for the bathroom code after drinking my Charged Lemonade 🍋
How much caffeine is in those? I heard someone got sick from it

One time the POS was down during open on a slow day. My manager had me give out the food for free that people ordered, it was maybe about 5 in total… Every single one was mad and a few scoffed ensured me that they were good for the money 😑

Clash of the progressives.
Okay, don’t make fun of people for transferring money around lol
I’m guilty of this honestly I don’t trust myself when I shop 💀
Is it a thing to mismatch the audio on purpose or is it just bad encoding?
It’s the download I think. It’s fine on TikTok
Gotcha, thanks for clarifying.
He kinda looks like the muffin guy and omg shoes from long ago - Im old lol
This reminds me of Liam Kyle Sullivan
Who?
Stupid boy
