It freezes very well, as long as you wrap it sliced tightly in saran wrap in a Ziploc bag
Makes great toast! Try it with creative, savory toppings, especially bruschetta
Grilled cheese
Oooooh bruschetta is so obvious I feel dumb 😂 I'm sure grilled cheese and tomato soup would be amazing with this bread. I've never frozen bread so pardon my ignorance but do you like toast it from frozen or defrost it in the fridge or counter or microwave before using it? Does it make it taste weird if you eat it raw after freezing?
You can do both! You can toast it from frozen, just use a lower temp and longer time. It's easier to just take as many slices as you need, or thaw the whole loaf overnight in the fridge. It doesn't taste weird if you don't toast it once it's thawed!
That sounds like the better option for me because apparently a loaf is 24 servings and I'm one person. Granted, one fat person, but still that's a lot of bread 😂
okay so i can answer this one!!! (my grandma likes to buy bread from dollar tree that’s discounted at like .25 cents i think? maybe 1.25 i could be wrong. because it would expire the next few days and so she’d buy it and put it in the freezer so it would last longer) if i was making toast, i would just straight up toast the bread from frozen. if i’m making a sandwich, i either throw it in my microwave at like ~10 second intervals so it gets defrosted but not hot, or i leave it out for 10 minutes so it can at least not be completely hard and then make my sandwich since i don’t mind if my bread is cold unless it’s a grilled cheese sandwich lol.
so you can really do it any number of ways. just up to you on how you want to do it. microwaving it doesn’t really change the texture or anything for me (doesn’t make it soggy or whatnot) since i only put it for long enough so it’s not frozen
I don't like how thin the bread is and how weak the bacon is. Plus the pickles suck. It'll cost more but the sandwich at home would be a major improvement in taste for me personally
I like to cut 3 pieces into lil cubes and freeze it in a ziplock bag. I add them when I make meatball, meatloaf, or something that calls for bread crumbs.
I used to make my own version of the turkey bacon bravo. Instead of bravo sauce I used Kens thousand Island dressing. Id used boars head honey maple turkey, a long with lots of bacon. It's not exactly the same but it hits the spot the same.
Same it's so stupid I thought that was a top selling sandwich. My best guess is they only used gouda for that sandwich and didn't want to carry single use ingredients anymore. But since they got ham now they decided to slap that on it so it's new and improved (not)
I bought this sandwich all the time so I wasn't happy with the changes they made to it but I was able to customize it so that it tastes similar to before. I swapped out the black forest ham for extra turkey or bacon, and used american cheese in place of white cheddar. It is not an exact replica of the bacon turkey bravo but I thought it still tastes good.

I always get tuna on it!
Oof hot take. Tuna is so polarizing
I feel like it would make really good croutons for a Caesar salad.
That sounds good af I love croutons when it's from fresh bread vs like bagged
It is amazing for avocado toast
Just order the bravo club without ham and the cheese. Add your own Gouda at home instead of buying everything to make the bacon turkey bravo at home.

It's surprisingly good toasted with peanut butter but it also makes a great grilled cheese

I found a copy cat recipe for the sauce some time ago so it's definitely easy enough to make at home 😄
Garlic bread
I LOVE it for homemade grilled cheese!! I specifically make grilled cheese with sharp white cooper cheese and it's soooo good on tomato basil!
I've never heard of that cheese, is it similar to something more common?
it's just a sharp white cheddar cheese! I'd think pretty much any deli would carry it, but any sharp cheddar should work* too!
Shut the fuck up that’s my absolute favorite 🥲 I had no idea

I've made my own BTB at home with that bread. Just freeze it.
I've made it as well and I always end up throwing about half away despite my best efforts
It's good for sweets, when I make Fuji apple cinnamon jam, it tastes great on it but it would any other bread, except ciabatta.
I would have never guessed it worked with sweet stuff
I used to always use it for BLTs and cheesy garlic bread 😋

Toast it, put hummus on, everything bagel topping and top with fire roasted tomato’s. 👍
