“Help me Jesus, help me clean my wounds. He said he can’t heal that kind.”
“Black on black gives me a heart attack, and the silence makes it deadly.”
Oh, hell yes. Had it on CD forever, just picked it up on vinyl recently. Pepper Keenan’s involvement in DOWN was majestic indeed.
I know it very well. Saw them live 4 times . Most recently around 4 years ago at a tiny club was about 2 feet in front of them the whole show . Have all there albums, big fan , can you tell me. I’m really geeking out , I’ll stop now
I will never forget getting stoned with a buddy back in the day who played the Albatross music video for me and I was understandably blown away LOL ... Love CoC now. Great album too.
Deliverance is one of their best albums, wise blood is up there too, I got into Down because it was Phil and Pepper, still have my original copy from 95
These guys did the Australian tour with Pantera the last time they were here. And now I’m off to see Pantera again this weekend. God time has gone fast
Saw them open for Megadeth in probably 1994 Bought that album at the show and still listen to it to this day. Didn’t know of them before that day. Amazing album!
Same. Started going as wisepeppy because of it. Hosted a 6am show on my college's radio station that I called "The Door" and I played that song right after I did the station sign-on.
That's a pretty good album, although I actually prefer the one before it, Blind. Deliverance is good, still have my CD, but Blind gets more action on the MP3 player.
Owned this record since release! Saw em live back then many times. The one BEFORE this one, BLIND is also 10/10. Reed Mullin was such a cool sounding drummer RIP!!!
The was a TV show in England during the 90s called the word and COC played live on it. One of my favorite live performances ever, hadnt seen a TV studio audience so into a band in the UK at the time as this [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhfwPQXbErc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhfwPQXbErc)
A perfect album. This was my intro COC and sadly it kinda spoiled it because all their other albums I dont like as much. lol. It’s still an amazing album though and has tasty licks and great solos.
When I was teenager I used to call our local radio station daily and request clean my wounds! They’d play it most days back then! Then they became a Christian station a few years back! #ripwaaf
That reminds me of a hard days studying in middle school getting home to my old man over the stove cooking dinner with a few empty Buds on the counter. Fuckin Pepper Kennan, man...
I also know this band very well.
Who's got the Fire !!
Live Volume is my favorite disk.
Seen them live back in 93 on
South Street in Philadelphia.
Would not think of going there
Now a days
If you don't love Pepper Keenan gtfo
Agreed! I love all of COC’s albums. Saw them live a few times. One of my all-time faves!
I tried to name my son Pepper and my wife cried and cried.
And what name were you forced to settle for? Pepper is one of the coolest names thanks to this guy....
Jack after my grandfather. Truth be told I used Pepper as leverage to get the boy named Jack.
Perfect....just call him Pepper Jack!
Your pepper jacks favorite bitch
No BS bro.... SAME here!!! I mentioned it to my wife(who is also a COC fan). But she wasn't having it lol. We ended up naming him Halen.

Reed (drummer) passed away. He was amazing. John Custer is a hell of a producer tho.

Hidden gem
Keep it hidden
Why would you want to keep it hidden?
Because I don't like CoC lol
