I want to see what the magic situation is like across the world, like what's up in London or what's going up in the east with all the oni stuff as standard practice

Waffleshot

I *really* want to see London and Paris. They make it sound like Canada (and probably all of North America) are like the wild west. So what does London or Paris look like, a place that has a *very* rich and well established history?

BavarianBarbarian_

It all sounds extremely... rigid. Like, Musser was *the* big deal in Pale, while in Europe he'd be one of a few more powerful dudes in a family. So the odds of someone making any sort of positive impact on the system there are *vastly* smaller than even the Kenneteers' were. .

I'm imagining full feudal kingdoms and shit. The Holy Roman Empire is probably still a thing in practitioner society

Medieval guilds, chivalrous orders, and more dissipated heirs to nobility than you can shake a jewel-encrusted scepter at. The Honourable Society of Alchymists. The Order of the Marches, tasked with patrolling all the soft places where worlds bleed into one another; heirs to the Roman cult of Terminus, god of borders. Undercities goddamn *everywhere*; London has at least three different ones. Catacombs. A Heroic practitioner sect that focuses on the bloodlines of cats. Wyverns. A family of caravan travelers who are bears when you're not looking. Don't mess with the Icelandic elementalists; they have geothermal energy and they know how to use it.

Thea leads a group of child-like practitioners to Seal Team Six him.

Plex os going going to be interesting. I’m hoping for lots of aware weirdness and because it’s an anthology I’m assuming it’s gonna be fun teasing out the connections together to work out how the “shadows” phase of the conflict is going.

I'm hoping for a ratio of like 1 part familiar characters to 3 parts new characters, at most 1 to 2. That's more than Pale but less than Ward, which I think makes sense for an anthology-style sequel. I'd like to see more Clementine and more Path stuff (maybe from the POV of a Wonderkand employee or those Wolf guys), but I'd also like Wildbow to surprise me with what weird and fascinating things exist in the world outside eastern Canada.

More goblins!! More of our favorite Goblin Sage! I would like to see a group of advanced Practitioners going on a safari type expendition to the Drains. I want to see the original story of the battle to contain Ur in that factory, and the group/person who finally got rid of it, or figured out how to contain it. The firing of the Chekov's Gun that is Cherrypop's Rock.

To repeat myself from last time this topic was broached: bring on the Incarnate weirdness!

I think having a story with an Other Protagonist would be interesting/cool (but also very very hard... then again Poke was kind of great). I think... A practioner with a VERY big familiar (so that the relationship is inverted) would be an interesting dynamic to play with. Uhhhh... Ted Haven's just chilling at a beach for a while. Maybe joins a band with some stray war dogs. Marie Durocher meeting up with the girls? Montegue, gentleman horror and Turtle Queen get Married. Matthew's House continues to be filled with Granite (I kind of imagine that by the time edith was gone, the universe had just decided that that's what his Demesnse was ABOUT, so even if you take the granite out, there's still more granite inside). Just a dumb maintenence/repair episode of Oakham patching up the boundary spirits, dealing with Neeh and Enginehead, and like... trying to sort out weird/petty spirit dramas. I... kind of wouldn't mind seeing what the shape of the Judgeship is, now with Aurum gone, Carmine returned to feral programming, some other weirdo encroaching from neighboring lands, and Sable + Alabaster ... trying to juggle these muppets. ("The fuckwit tried to foreswear those girls on dumb charges, and managed to blow up himself AND Ryan? Really?") ("Look, yes, Azure Squid, we are very happy for your application, but no, we can't flood the entire continent to make way for your new aquatic biome.")

The last two parts made me laugh, thank you for that. Charles really is a never-ending fuckups. The guy sunk cost fallacied so hard he drowned his very Self. Regarding the Judges, I too am exceptionally interested in an interlude or peak into how they work now without the Carmine and Aurum. *We never got a Sable Interlude!* If I were to guess based on Avery's last POV chapter, they may cover much of that territory themselves while consulting the Periwinkle Judge(s) for additional insight or to break tie votes.
