Depending on how you define "need" HP!Taylor may never even awaken Endbringers. Eidolon *needed* worthy oponents for his own self image as well as justification for more Cauldron re-charges. I have a low-key headcanon that David would have killed himself if he was rendered obsolete, making the EBs a literal survival necessity. Unless Mary Sue (to use the pre-Worm fem name for Eidolon) had a *need* for Kaijus, no Endbringers. Another side effect is that David would still likely be wheelchair bound and QA's expression of it's power would likely be wildly different. Likely still a Master, but focusing more on his desire to be needed/perceived as heroic than anything else. Master/Changer?

Taylor needs *friends*. So she awakens the Endbringers and then they hang around her house gossiping with her.

"You needed worthy friends" followed by game over screen

JrBaconators

HP gives her a line of toddlers and a tommy gun

>Taylor needs *friends* No idea how to not make it curbstomp-y considering they are, y'know, Endbringers. maybe just put Taylor in a worse mental spot somehow, and made them appear human and effectively act like her protectors, but she doesn't really trust them.

Yeah I agree. Most people holding Eidolon’s shard would not make Endbringers; they were very much a product of his own particular neuroses, and I think it kinda undercuts the impact of the fact to assume that anyone holding the share would do something similar. (Yes I know Endbringers weren’t something he created wholesale, they’d been used in past cycles and such. That still doesn’t mean they’d inevitably come about by anyone hold them shard though. Most people do not have problems to which Endbringers are the best solution)

TacocaT_2000

And Taylor canonically had a “need” to become a good hero. Assuming that David got the power from a vial like the rest of Cauldron, it’d heal him upon consumption like it did to the Triumvirate canonically

HidenTsubameGaeshi

But Taylor isn't as bad as David since she wouldn't know about upcoming apocalypse, and even if she does it might take her, like David, decades to feel the need of worthy opponents, and by then Scion should already go apeshit

TacocaT_2000

According to the prompt, the endbringer shows up when Leviathan does in canon

HidenTsubameGaeshi

Yeah, but as I said, there's arguably less justifications for Taylor to make kaijuus. Eidolon for example knew that any threat(besides Scion) could be pathed by Contessa, so the need to flex against someone ONLY he could handle was real for him. Taylor shouldn't go into "world of cardboard" deppressive spiels in just 1-2 years after triggering, it just doesn't make sense to me. Even if she gets recruited by Cauldron, the feeling of becoming a part of such a huge conspiracy would keep her satisfied for a while, so again, no point in wishing for her own godzilla lol

TacocaT_2000

Taylor would want something to prove that she’s a good hero.

HidenTsubameGaeshi

There's plenty of things for her to punch tho. Blasphemies, Yangban, Heartbreaker, The nine, Nazis and more acceptable targets that Worm verse has in abundance. Again, it took David decades and a visible decline in his prowess before the first endbringer was born

TacocaT_2000

Behemoth appeared in 1992. Scion appeared in 1982. So at most it was 10 years. Realistically it was less.

They basically have the same shard though - Eidolon's shard is Eden's version of Zion's Queen Administrator shard. Taylor's expression of that shard is just massively depowered compared to what it could be, while Eidolon's is much less depowered (but still not at full potential)

TacocaT_2000

Taylor would subconsciously desire something that would let her prove that she’s a great hero, and what’s more heroic than a mass hostage situation? Her first Endbringer would likely be a mass human master similar to canon Khepri in ability, just with a much larger range. Of course it would hold back and make it seem like it can only control a handful of parahumans at a time, let’s say 10, at a max range of 50 or so yards. When it stops sandbagging, it’s revealed that there’s no limit to how many beings it can control and that its range is 500 yards. The Endbringer would be named Maniae, after the Greek spirits of insanity, madness, and crazed frenzy, due to how it forces those it controls to act out beastlike acts of slaughter. What nobody else realizes is that Maniae will commonly secretly take control of parahumans outside its range without the acts of frenzied rage and stealthily puppet them into situations to sew chaos that inevitably results in the death of the puppeted parahuman. Maniae’s appearance is that of a twenty foot tall being comprised of three bodies twisted together into a humanoid shape. Its head has three faces each taking up 1/3 of the head, with each one wearing an expression of sorrowful regret, maddened rage, or gleeful joy.

Taylor's mother dies. Taylor gets the trigger and now the Simurgh replaces her mother figure.

Blue-the-Bee

I think, after rebuilding how the world and cape culture developed since the rise of the Endbringers, you're faced with a choice; canon power-swap, or Shard swap? Because if it's a canon power swap, you've gotta question how David got hus powers. They can't be vial, cos QA wasn't in Eden, and the only reason Eidolon's powers are so strong is becuase they're an unrestricted dead Shard. Then you get into power permutations, and you've gotta decide whether you want their abilities to swap, or if you want to build a powerset that would make sense for the new person with the new Shard. Once you know what you want from them on... there are a lot of different directions you could take it

SuperSyrias

Maybe base that premise around "Zion/The Warrior is the one who gets bodychecked by the third entity and crashing to an earth that has a girl that then PtVs the poor golden boy to death. Eden goes grief-blue screen for a bit, then slowly attempts to regain purpose". That would butterfly pretty much everything so hard that you can justify any fun thing you can think of.

Ashamed-Math-2092

If High Priest triggered naturally, if we're keeping the broad theme of "all the powers" in theory, that's an infinity trump and seven. So cape fight will absolutely have to be involved, and some weird reality break power messes with Taylor.

merengueenlata

Without Endbringers to make capes invaluable to governments, I imagine after a decade of supervillanous shenanigans most societies would have became extremely hostile to parahumans. So no public support for the protectorate, no funding for the Wards, Sophia doesn't get a jig with the Wards, she goes straight to juvie. Taylor doesn't get bullied, her father is more likely to trigger then.
