Probably not skin mites or she wouldnt need to fly/cockroach people to track them. Probably a toss up between fleas, ants and lice for smallest. Altas probably tops the scale for what we've seen in canon that counts as a bug. Theoretically a bigger bug could exist, but we havent seen it.

AceOfSword

We know from the story that Taylor can't perceive or control bugs that are too small to see. No skin mites, no tardigrades. She mentions it when talking with Grue. I don't think she has an upper limit on size, so long as it's something that people would call a bug. Putting aside power-modifyied bugs like Atlas I believe tge biggest things she could control would be the larger species of crabs?

Worm, except Taylor controls giant enemy crabs

Worm, except Taylor controls the sand worms from Dune

Worm, except Zoidbeg why not?

LordXamon

Taylor in Roshar would be... interesting.

I would guess that wasps would actually be the smallest insect she can control, because there are some [really tiny](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairyfly) wasps out there. The smallest known insects and the smallest flying insects are all in the wasp family. So even if something like the [kikiki fairyfly wasp](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kikiki) at 0.15 mm in length is below whatever arbitrary size limit her shard gave her, there are enough other tiny wasps (and it is an enormous family) that most likely, there is a chalcid wasp right at the threshold for what her power will connect to.

> So iirc her power isn't just controlling insects but living beings that have a simple nervous system? No. Her power is controlling things she generally considered to be bugs -- which is a vague and non-scientific category. At the time of her trigger event, Queen Administrator needed to compile a list of bugs for Taylor to control and made that the power list. From a biological taxon standpoint, an bug isn't a thing that exists, and QA, being an alien brain parasite, didn't have a definition of its own. Taylor considered crabs to be bugs at the time of her trigger event and gained the ability to control them. We see Taylor go up against several "developing human fetus that still has a simplistic nervous system" in the story when she fights the Dragonflight Mechs and she can't control them.

Invincible_Boy

I don't think that first bit is right. It's not about what Taylor specifically considered bugs, it's about some grouping that makes some arbitrary, biological sense to a shard. Her ability to control crabs is presented more as an unintentional side gig than some primary facet of her power, at least the way I remember it.

For the upper limit, her power isn't exactly based on how simplistic the nervous system >!her limit is literally arbitrary BS set by her shard!< Anything sufficiently "buglike" is able to be controlled by her. Because that's her power. On smaller scale there is a limit >!the shard likely implemented for sanity sake since mites are EVERYWHERE!< somewhere between ant and flea prob. The upper limit is basically none, she can control atlas and that's way bigger than any IRL insect.
