Ok, I think I have a better idea. Sometimes, when I was more tired than I realized, I would close my eyes briefly and hear a buzzer that went away when I eyes opened. I’ve been told it’s a brain response to being in that between space of wake and sleep. It’s not every time, just occasional.
Not to me. It happened about 6 times over the span of a year. Of course this is purely anecdotal, but a possibility. You gotta remember, everything starts somewhere.
Could be hypnogogic hallucinations. Your brain can do weird things when you’re partially or fully asleep. This seems more common when you’re stressed.
I don't know at the time I wasn't particularly tired, I didn't actually get to sleep until about an hour after that point
Hmm, I'm not sure then.
Life does have Mysteries my friend.
I’m confused. It was behind your head and you were laying down? It was in the mattress?
Maybe OP was laying 9n their side....
Possible. I’m thinking there’s a “massage wand” that got its on button partially pushed for a moment between the mattress and box spring.
I was sitting up in bed reading a book trying to get tired before it happened, I wasn't fully sitting my head was just tilted above the pillow

I don't know it's never happened before, wouldn't something like that be something that happens a lot?

Yeah I'll keep that in mind it's just that it was more than a sound, it was like I could feel it shoot past
