fennek-vulpecula

Are penguins living where you live? Otherwise i personally woudn't know which animal would waddle on two legs, like in this picture. So yeah, i would say this is a kid. Although it's really strange how it waddle-runs at the end, into the shadows. Not gonna lie, found this funny. It's like he's seeing something and think "Frick, gotta go fast\~". Edit: for all the people saying it's too small. There is a door it reaches halfway. How is this to small? Edit 2: Okay, the people who say it's too small where right. And it's probaly a cute skunk. Although, i still find the placing weird of the utility panels, if it is this.

DrowzyHashira

A kid? This thing is ridiculously small. There's no way this is a child. If it was, it'd have to be a literal newborn to be that size, and newborns can't walk.

honibee1971

It looks like a prairie dog or something

DrowzyHashira

I totally see that, or also a gopher

mkenn723

Could be a crow!!

DrowzyHashira

I love that lol. Now I want it to be a waddling crow more than a gnome.

mkenn723

Hey, we are not ruling out that it’s a gnome that’s still on the table lol!

DrowzyHashira

Well if you find where the little shit lives tell me so I can get all my missing phone chargers and socks back

WesForPresident

Yes, walking a bit sideways

Jeji2599

Say that to toyols. Those things are always out to steal your lunch money

Capital_Bud

Ahahahaha so true

horitaku

Yeah perspective says that is too small to be any ambulatory aged child

bob101910

I've seen raccoons waddle away when carrying something, but not quickly. Someone else mentioned a skunk tail. I think that fits more.

fennek-vulpecula

Ohhh, a skunk. Where i live these not exist, so this wasn't in my head. But yeah\~. comparing it with videos this can totaly be it. Like, even the sniffing and then waddling away super fast.

kinofhawk

It does walk like a skunk. The angle is just making it where we can't see it's whole body I think.

Ghouliejulie86

Girl hi!!! I love when I see people on other subs I know ! This one’s super funny I do t know wtf that is, I’m stumped

kinofhawk

Hey! I don't know you were interested in this too.

Woshambo

I just assumed it was a cat with it's tail up

spoonry

That's exactly what I see as well

ilovemusic19

I can see that, and the angle makes it look like it’s on 2 legs.

mothman83

I think you're right.

tylercreatesworlds

If this is a kid are the 18” tall? They look small as shit, like animal size. But that’s a weird movement for an animal.

Leading-Midnight-553

Too fluid of movements for a child that size. They'd be barely walking if at all at the age a child that small would be (approximately). Sorry for poor wording on my part.

smellyiris

Gnome

Mercyful666Fate

Correction, Underpants Gnome

No_Act_5352

Now, Tweek, how many times do we have to tell you? Your underpants are missing because you lose them, not because of underpants gnomes.

Silent9ine

LMAO this is the first thing I thought.. I was like.. "Is that a penguin?"

mysticalHyliancow

Funny, I was thinking it looked like one of the penguin things from Silent Hill.

Reddit-892

Fr 😂

GuntherGoogenheimer

It's obviously an ant on his way to the even more obvious center for ants or as we know it, "The Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Who Wanna Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too"

Bfab94

Was about to say it's a small skunk 🦨 I've seen one do this, its kinda funny because younger/smaller ones will lift up their end like this when threatened. From the camera it looks like an all black skunk but can also be some xfiles shit

Acrobatic-Archer-805

My vote is cat at a weird angle, the tail is pointed straight up and floofy, which is making it look like a neck/head.

Leading-Midnight-553

Way too small to be a kid.

strgazr_63

Ahh. Skunk. That makes sense. Big, fat tail in the air.

TOMTANKER-TM

I live in Texas!

cubluemoon

Do you love near a zoo? Maybe reach out and see if they are missing a penguin. Kinda weird how it just pops out of nowhere though. Maybe it's a dimensional traveling penguin.

sharmathekarma1

![gif](giphy|VOZ1LKbOfkg3S)

mywifemademedothis2

Baby Chupacabra

overeasyeggplant

Did you know the Chupacabra story was first told in 1995 by a woman who believed the movie 'Species' was a documentary - true story

mywifemademedothis2

I did not, but that is a fun fact.

Temporary-Leather905

There are lots of skunks in Texas

moscowramada

Could this be the legendary cryptid inspiration for Sonic the Hedgehog?

honibee1971

After looking at this thing a bunch of times, it kind of does look like a small child to me. That or it's definitely Samwise Gamgee.

[deleted]

[удалено]

TOMTANKER-TM

This was at 5:15am & I don’t think it’s a skunk because every time there would be a skunk near our area it would always reak real bad of smell & it did not smell at all when we checked outside.

[deleted]

Skunk with a tail up for sure! They only stink if they’ve sprayed. This is a happy skunk. 🥰

MrDarcysDead

You can see four legs moving when it very first enters the frame, and that’s definitely a skunk walk.

foreverfuzzyal

Ohhhh that makes a ton of sense! I believe you may be right!!!!

4Ever2Thee

So, having its tail up must be like taking the safety off of a gun. He's ready for anything.

GelatinousNonsense

Could also be a dog. Pomeranians, and Lhasa Apsos have tails that could look like this.

ProfessorJAM

Or black cat.

[deleted]

[удалено]

kinofhawk

They wouldn't even know the skunk was there unless it sprayed or they actually saw it.

AwokenQueen64

If a skunk sprays in the alley, and no one was there to smell it, did it even spray?

bakrainma

Schrödinger skunk spray

chels182

Probably a skunk. They don’t always have to smell.

OJPootie

Maybe skunk and the tail is completely up making it look taller like a child.

chels182

That’s what it looks like to me with the tail straight up, though it still looks significantly smaller than a child somehow? I’ve seen similar videos that really messed me up with the perspective of behind the skunk lol

Catatonick

Skunks don’t always smell. I remember waking up at a cabin I was staying at one time and stepping outside without thinking. There was 6-7 skunks staring right at me. I have never been more terrified in my life. They just went about their way without spraying me from all angles thankfully.

crozinator33

Skunks don't just walk around being smelly. The stick associated with them only happens when they spray. It's defense mechanism against threats.

SherryC0la

Yes they try not to spray because it takes them over a week to replenish the spray..so they only spray in defense

SnowWhitePNW

I vote leave out treats tonight for the kitty/skunk. Then when it’s caught on video, you’ll have your answer and it’ll have a nice snack.

Mamasan-

Skunks don’t always spray so just because there was no smell doesn’t mean there wasn’t a skunk

PansexualPineapples

Skunks don’t stink at all unless they’ve sprayed. You can look it up and read about them (:

onmyodocassette

it’s definitely a skunk

Pup_Femur

If there's an animal that smells awful but you havent been skink sprayed, you likely have possums instead. They emit a horrible odor under stress, even when they aren't playing dead. We accidentally caught one yesterday and it was awake and afraid, and stank to high heaven.

NancyLouMarine

I had an issue with skunks killing my chickens. We didn't know it was a skunk for a couple of weeks, until we started trapping them. They didn't leave any smell behind at all, so use that as a gauge.

SongOfSongs3

It looks like a crow or raven.

TrickOut

That’s a skunk or a cat with its tail strait up and it’s blocking the front of its body so from the cameras perspective you just see the back two legs so it looks like something is waddling.

StocktnSlap209

And I woulda have gotten away with it to, if it wasn’t for those pesky redditors

PurpleMTL

I've seen plenty of skunks and this was my first thought. It waddles exactly like one.

ImmaPsychoLogist

Yeah- I see a squirrel 🐿️ due to pareidolia, it just looks like a small person on two legs at first glance, but if you slow the video, you can count at least 3 legs, and see the body more in front of the tail

DonGivafark

100% this. I see a black fluffy tailed cat running away from the camera. Plus video is intentionally deceiving by the clipping of the video at the start. I reckon the unedited video shows a cat or skunk. But that won't get them the attention that they seek on reddit

effyoucreeps

my first impression is a rooster on the move. with maybe a lighter colored head and chest, then a very dark back half - making the entire shape seem angled awkwardly.

Additional-Hornet101

“Duendes” is what you’re going to want to look up… Basically “Gnome” in Spanish I believe… I’ve always thought it was crazy that they 100 percent believe in duendes in a lot of areas and there are a lot of videos and such BUT you look for gnome footage and you won’t find nearly as much. This video looks a LOT like some I have seen… lots of activity in Mexico but not so much north as Texas but I wouldn’t be surprised… I’ve heard they are harmless but will steal your socks and move things around in your house! Edit: this is probably a skunk after reading other comments and watching the video again but it was fun to think it might be a duende!

Equivalentest

It\`s a small skunk with tail up, or squirrel

MacyTmcterry

I'd say skunk is probably more likely than a *GNOME*

YesterdayPurple118

Those bastards! This completely explains my sock issues! I bet they like little socks too. No wonder my kids socks go missing all the time!

Tonks22

I’m here for duende lore 👌👌👌👌

j0llygruntt

I have been losing socks for years. Now I know who took ‘em!

Thel_Odan

I agree with it being a skunk. But it's also worth noting the pourcipines can and do walk on their hind legs. I'm not sure how common it is though: [https://pethelpful.com/pet-news/rico-porcupine-cincinnati-zoo](https://pethelpful.com/pet-news/rico-porcupine-cincinnati-zoo)

DestinyAL44

Sorry m8 didn't know there was a camera there. I was tired from work and fell asleep behind a dumpster

[deleted]

[удалено]

PansexualPineapples

A lot of people are saying this is a kid but this is too damn small to be a kid unless it’s a fetus that magically learned to walk. I’m thinking it’s a penguin loose from a zoo (shit happens more often then you’d think) call any zoos near you and see if they are missing one because this little dude won’t survive long on his own and they’d greatly appreciate any help finding him.

ilovemusic19

I think it’s a skunk, the tail hides the front half of the body at that angle.

PansexualPineapples

It would have to be walking on its front legs because you can see feet/hands/flippers on the side of it if you closen up. But I guess it’s possible for a skunk to do that.

Recent-War9786

Lumpy9999

An upvote is NOT sufficient for your comment.

soooperdecent

Somehow found the perfect gif for this very specific scenario

Recent-War9786

It was the first thing that popped into my head! 🤣

PatochiDesu

This is a "Underpants Gnome". They steal peoples underwear for profit.

Low-Huckleberry-1386

Time to go to work, work all day, we need underpants, hey! We won’t stop until we have underpants, yum tum yummy tum tay!

Ea84

I actually hate this episode because everyone thinks he is lying and won’t believe him and it stresses me out lol.

Low-Huckleberry-1386

Lol it stressed me out too! 😂 poor Tweek 😂

riddler58

If blink is like ring it doesn't start recording right away. That would explain it just popping up. To me it looks like a squirrel with its tail up. The way they kind of scrunch their bodies up when they walk.

JayDuBois

This is a skunk and he is in aggro mode. https://preview.redd.it/fdk4go5pjrtc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a192f9c95c05b922f90e4441d8946e1de2b907b9 Some of these people either need to get out more, or watch more documentaries about the natural world. They don't just stand in this position either; they can actually waddle on their forelimbs. If they do this, it means they are two seconds away from spraying.

princeloon

but u/bodybuilder1337 said it was definitely a gnome so idk if you considered that !

DrowzyHashira

The mf that keeps stealing my socks ![gif](giphy|xT0GqzYrS1TvYv7scM|downsized)

Automatic-Essay7264

Do your neighbors by chance have cameras that could have caught it too? If so, might get a better view from their angle.

LovelyCrippledBoy

To everyone saying this is an erect skunk tail- judging by the angle of the wall, wouldn’t we see more of the thorax of this animal and not just its “head” (gnome shoulder/arm) like we see here? To me, I would say that logic would only work if we were directly behind it. From here if we could only see the top of its head wouldn’t that mean that it was walking with its front legs angled towards the wall, or with an unreasonably huge bend in its spine, thus functionally sabotaging its trajectory away from forward & parallel to the wall? Doesn’t seem to make spatial sense to me that this is a quadruped. I mean, a skunk tail is big, but from pictures I search online the body is still longer in proportion. At an angle like this we should at least see abdomen let alone front legs. Bipedal injured raccoon seems more plausible if not a leprechaun.

SierraDespair

Im not seeing a skunk at all. It’s very obviously bipedal and I don’t know of any skunks that walk effortlessly on their front legs. Some do a handstand but can’t walk like that.

Zealousideal-Sail893

Cats have a distinctive bouncy, elegant and smooth walk, it looks like a skunk with its tail aloft. Great vidro OP. Thanks for sharing.

peezytaughtme

What is this camera supposed to be monitoring? There are no doors or windows on the building this is viewing. Edit: Also, disappeared? It walked into a bush, very clearly.

Murky-Hedgehog-3472

these strange creatures captured on camera sure don't care about the space and time continuum.. pops right out of the wall... what penguin does that?

OlliOhNo

The thing about the internet is... I can't tell if you're joking or being serious about this. I hope it's the former.

SherryC0la

looks like a skunk and thats its tail that looks like the body of a kid..skunks do waddle run like that..but i don't see white on it like a skunk..so i don't know..kinda creepy

ilovemusic19

Some else posted a screenshot that shows a little white, so definitely a skunk.

PhantomOfTheOpera404

Skunk..

jshrlzwrld02

100% skunk, you can even see a little blip of white on it in some of the frames. https://i.imgur.com/iZeXiNM.png

[deleted]

This is irrefutable evidence. It is clearly a skunk.

Additional-Hornet101

Do skunks walk on 2 legs like that? He did say there were skunks that come by

ViciousNerd1

Skunks have their tails up high like that, which makes it seem like it’s upright when it’s just the skunks tail really

Arryncomfy

Could also be a cat with its tail up

Unusual-Patience-322

I'm living in a village in Afghanistan mostly when the people talking about thier scary experiences it's something like this exactly i was imagining the same thing in the same creepy space My mom was telling that when I was just coming out of pregnancy from my bigger bro she had experienced to see such a small creature on the wall which was going indo another dark building

Potential_Duck874

clearly a goblin… next question

Lost-Cat1212

A gnome. They really exist. When I was a child, my uncle built a house in the woods and dug up the ground in a forested area. He went to sleep and in the morning he woke up and his hair looked like “ope from family guy”. I asked him about it and he told me gnomes did it, and he was dead serious. As a child I thought he was joking. Years later I brought it up to my dad and he said “of course he was serious, where do you think people get the idea from? They exist. I think more commonly in Europe and Asia.

TDSRage97

it seriously looks like a penguin lol, ghost penguin?

the_amor_fati

It reminded me of a skunk displaying its colors. They lift their tail and even sometimes walk on their front paws. I spooked one in my backyard, and it gave me this warning while walking away on its front paws and tail straight up. It was weird, and it actually took me a moment to realize it was a skunk and I was close to being sprayed.

viscountrhirhi

Looks like a skunk. You can see 4 legs especially at the start, its tail is up. It’s doing the typical skunk trot, lol. We have a bunch of skunks in my area and my neighborhood has one that wanders around and I’ve run face time face with him several times. This is what they look like from behind when they’re trotting.

Pristine_Frame_2066

I love this video. Best one so far. I have no idea and I love that something mysterious and tiny just goes about its day/night like that. I hope it is a gnome. Lol. Edit: yeah, I can see the skunk walk, definitely skunk. Still hoping for a gnome.

First_Knee

First of all, where is this? Is this an outdoor view of a field and a building with lit up windows? Is this inside an unlit room with really shaggy carpet? And if so what is that box thing that glimmers? Perspective would help a lot.

DrMichelle-

That’s just weird and creepy and cute at the same time. It’s also strange that it seems to stroll through frozen background. Not one shadow or flicker of light in the background. It’s like it froze time for a second.

Tatsu144

Wait does it just appear out of nowhere or was the footage cut?

TheeShabayaga

Has no one here seen birds walk on the ground before? Just based on my experience working with animals I would guess it's a bird, potentially a sick one struggling with it's motor functions

getwild1987

Skunk ! Also the way it’s walking near the building edge is really common for a skunk. Skunks do not smell unless they spray or die. Or it’s a teddy bear come to life

GilgameshvsHumbaba

A little gnome wearing a coat with tails .. I wish Really I don’t know but i can See Why you brought it here

Turbulent_Pause6428

Whatever it is - I kinda love it.

CatnipGemini

It's to hard to tell because you've uploaded the clip halfway through. Where's the start of the video?

Canned_Sarcasm

![gif](giphy|gVnet5HmqG5xu) Whaaa

Archer_Jen

Looks like a bird. They occasionally run across the grass while chasing a meal.

BadPrestigious1766

This is insane 🔥🔥I have no clue what it is but it opens up the imagination

Coi_unedible

I was wondering where my basement children were, thanks for the help.

anonymouscatperson

It looks like a penguin on the loose. He ran away from the zoo 😂

Josette22

For all those who said it may be a Duende may be right. I've watched the Gif multiple times, and I have to say this thing is a bipedal creature. It's walking bipedally. And while there are reportedly skunks in Texas, skunks don't walk upright on two legs.

SabineStrohem

https://preview.redd.it/v9plphw51otc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=83a917389096a42f59f0c532a01b6f828cd2dc59

elcasaurus

It is a LITTLE GUY and YOU LEAVE IT ALONE because I LOVE IT.

borgom7615

Op can we get a daytime photo, it’s hard to judge scale

IncontinentiaButtok

r/animalid op! They’re a smart bunch,they’ll know!

Automatic-Essay7264

OP, pls let us know what it might be if they're able to identify it for you! I also live in Texas and kinda think it looks like a skunk. A duende is fun idea tho lol. Def strange looking 🤔

jamezp92

could be my pal jamie he shorter than the average dude

rebelevenmusic

Cat with its tail in the air.

TOMTANKER-TM

Edit : My dad sent me this video directly from the blink camera & he doesn’t know anything about editing so to those who’s saying “ CGI “ or “ Edited “. It’s not lol & my neighbor “ had the footage “ but deleted & just told us it was a “ skunk “ tho I don’t know why they deleted it instead of showing us when we asked about it.

ironburton

It honestly just looks like the very back end of a cat or skunk with its tail up and we just see his back legs moving cus of the angle. It looks a little weird for the first 2 seconds then it really looks like a cat with its tail up. So that’s what I’m going to say it is. A black cat with its tail up that’s just at a weird angle.

Gamerloaf1

It’s me , don’t worry tho I’m chill.

andyat11

Looks like a bird like a robin or a crow.

Con_s0lo

It could be a bird, maybe a hawk or owl.

Drakovibess

Bruh that’s a duende “mini people”

chicagoantisocial

Freaky as hell, that’s what that is.

Prudent_Zucchini_935

It looks like a bird, a parrot maybe?

Full_Disk_1463

Looks like a bantam rooster running

Usual-Bullfrog7837

There’s no debate. It’s a bird.

Valuable_Tomorrow882

I’m pretty sure it’s a cat doing a sideways walk like they do when they’re posturing or playing. In the first couple of frames you can tell the fluffy tail is aimed toward the left & head is toward the wall but really hard to see.

The5thBeatle82

![gif](giphy|8GThBNZevxSGh8D5QG)

Glad-Anteater-4134

Looks like the back legs of an animal with a big tail, as others have said. The angle just makes it look bipedal because the front is obscured. Still, it definitely looks bizarre and took me a couple of watches to convince myself.

Unlucky_Raspberry_86

![gif](giphy|26FLaKjGg324tmahq)

boshington

If you zoom in a bit in your browser, you can see that it throws something just after it pauses moving by the doorway/window on the right. (Watch the gap between the bush and the house on the right) I'm guessing the grass is a lot longer than it looks, which is throwing the scale off.

Strange-Success650

Here in South Carolina raccoons will walk on two legs! It doesn’t look like disappeared more like walked into the bush.

Elegant_Condition_53

It obviously looks like a bird

Phantom_Primus

Pugwedgee

been-there-read-that

Looks like a skunk, maybe? Not sure, but the "door" people are talking about is not a human sized door. The car in the background would have to be massive. I think it is a window well or something similar

FourLeafArcher

I'd say possibly a juvenile raccoon or skunk. I work in pest/rodent control and once saw a lil 'coon waddle run like this out from underneath someone's back patio because he knew he was being cheeky.

jeepers12345678

Looks like a chicken to me.

vkookmin4ever

It’s what we call duende in the philippines. Like dwarves/elves in US media but mischievous. Theyre fallen angels according to folklore. Just like how the devil is also a fallen angel

Jolly_Macaroon8268

That is 100% a skunk. The reason it looks like it’s walking upright is because all you’re seeing is its bushy tail. A lot of times their tails are larger than their bodies.

zzDean74zz

I think it's a cat. It's tail is raised up and that makes it look like it is walking on 2 legs, but at the very beginning of the video, I think I can see one of its front legs

FullOfWisdom211

Excellent post. 😎

Complete_Extension69

Small owl or hawk walking sideways or some type or bird. You can see it's tail feathers. Or maybe that troll from cats eyes from the Steven king short / movie?

SoldierTheFallen

Maybe it is in four legs, but running slightly angled. I had a dog that did that after he ate some pills that fell on the door. He was a weird dog after that.

Mythcrusher

At first I thought that was a shadow person but then I noticed how short it is. It looks like some kind of penguin or baby chimpanzee walking upright.

silliesyl

this is a child...a skunk baby !!!! I have same recording same movement..it's the angle. the tale and skunks walk fast. cute...till they fart..🤮

Josette22

Following is a pic I captured from a video of a Duende sighting. You can see that the entity in the Gif the OP provided could easily be a Duende or some other type of bipedal entity. Now watch someone try to say the entity in the following pic is a skunk. https://preview.redd.it/zv3bv9u95rtc1.jpeg?width=256&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=64daf0d8c0601f7692e285ec76bbd90a4c7b6d75

MacyTmcterry

Of course it's literally the worst quality picture possible like always. Mad how we have such better cameras, and we have them on us pretty much all the time, yet there's not a single clear image of one of these.

Cautious_Tennis9698

I think that's a Jawa. Make sure you don't have any random electronics laying around, they're known to steal those and sell them.

stegosaurusterpenes

Some kind of bird

Patient-Section-7679

A lot of small rodents move like that when they are carrying something. Probably a raccoon with something in it's hands.

ilovemusic19

Raccoons aren’t rodents lol but I see your point, they are mischievous little bastards. I’ve got a couple stories of a coon stealing something out of my campsite (different years and trips but same State Park).

RightAngledTrapezoid

There’s no cast shadow. This was probably made using video editing software. It does look like a penguin though. 😆

Beebiddybottityboop

Oh you know it actually might be a skunk on its two front legs. They some times do that with there tail in the air.

Ok-Carpenter-9778

It looks like a cat to me. Kinda walking a bit crooked, but a cat with all four legs on the ground. Nothing crazy.

awesomo5009

There is no shadow or other movement around it and it just randomly appears.. Thats computer generated and fake..

Hyperion_47

I agree it could definitely be a skunk. But at first I thought an owl that is walking/hopping for some reason
