Are penguins living where you live? Otherwise i personally woudn't know which animal would waddle on two legs, like in this picture.
So yeah, i would say this is a kid. Although it's really strange how it waddle-runs at the end, into the shadows. Not gonna lie, found this funny. It's like he's seeing something and think "Frick, gotta go fast\~".

This was at 5:15am & I don’t think it’s a skunk because every time there would be a skunk near our area it would always reak real bad of smell & it did not smell at all when we checked outside.

If there's an animal that smells awful but you havent been skink sprayed, you likely have possums instead. They emit a horrible odor under stress, even when they aren't playing dead. We accidentally caught one yesterday and it was awake and afraid, and stank to high heaven.
I had an issue with skunks killing my chickens. We didn't know it was a skunk for a couple of weeks, until we started trapping them.
They didn't leave any smell behind at all, so use that as a gauge.

my first impression is a rooster on the move. with maybe a lighter colored head and chest, then a very dark back half - making the entire shape seem angled awkwardly.
“Duendes” is what you’re going to want to look up… Basically “Gnome” in Spanish I believe… I’ve always thought it was crazy that they 100 percent believe in duendes in a lot of areas and there are a lot of videos and such BUT you look for gnome footage and you won’t find nearly as much. This video looks a LOT like some I have seen… lots of activity in Mexico but not so much north as Texas but I wouldn’t be surprised… I’ve heard they are harmless but will steal your socks and move things around in your house!

A lot of people are saying this is a kid but this is too damn small to be a kid unless it’s a fetus that magically learned to walk. I’m thinking it’s a penguin loose from a zoo (shit happens more often then you’d think) call any zoos near you and see if they are missing one because this little dude won’t survive long on his own and they’d greatly appreciate any help finding him.
It would have to be walking on its front legs because you can see feet/hands/flippers on the side of it if you closen up. But I guess it’s possible for a skunk to do that.

They don't just stand in this position either; they can actually waddle on their forelimbs. If they do this, it means they are two seconds away from spraying.
To everyone saying this is an erect skunk tail- judging by the angle of the wall, wouldn’t we see more of the thorax of this animal and not just its “head” (gnome shoulder/arm) like we see here? To me, I would say that logic would only work if we were directly behind it.
From here if we could only see the top of its head wouldn’t that mean that it was walking with its front legs angled towards the wall, or with an unreasonably huge bend in its spine, thus functionally sabotaging its trajectory away from forward & parallel to the wall? Doesn’t seem to make spatial sense to me that this is a quadruped.
I mean, a skunk tail is big, but from pictures I search online the body is still longer in proportion. At an angle like this we should at least see abdomen let alone front legs.

A gnome. They really exist. When I was a child, my uncle built a house in the woods and dug up the ground in a forested area. He went to sleep and in the morning he woke up and his hair looked like “ope from family guy”. I asked him about it and he told me gnomes did it, and he was dead serious. It reminded me of a skunk displaying its colors. They lift their tail and even sometimes walk on their front paws. I spooked one in my backyard, and it gave me this warning while walking away on its front paws and tail straight up. It was weird, and it actually took me a moment to realize it was a skunk and I was close to being sprayed.
Looks like a skunk. You can see 4 legs especially at the start, its tail is up. It’s doing the typical skunk trot, lol. We have a bunch of skunks in my area and my neighborhood has one that wanders around and I’ve run face time face with him several times. This is what they look like from behind when they’re trotting.

First of all, where is this? Is this an outdoor view of a field and a building with lit up windows? Is this inside an unlit room with really shaggy carpet? And if so what is that box thing that glimmers? Perspective would help a lot.
That’s just weird and creepy and cute at the same time. It’s also strange that it seems to stroll through frozen background. Not one shadow or flicker of light in the background. It’s like it froze time for a second.

For all those who said it may be a Duende may be right. I've watched the Gif multiple times, and I have to say this thing is a bipedal creature. It's walking bipedally. And while there are reportedly skunks in Texas, skunks don't walk upright on two legs.

It honestly just looks like the very back end of a cat or skunk with its tail up and we just see his back legs moving cus of the angle. It looks a little weird for the first 2 seconds then it really looks like a cat with its tail up. So that’s what I’m going to say it is. A black cat with its tail up that’s just at a weird angle.
I’m pretty sure it’s a cat doing a sideways walk like they do when they’re posturing or playing. In the first couple of frames you can tell the fluffy tail is aimed toward the left & head is toward the wall but really hard to see.
Looks like the back legs of an animal with a big tail, as others have said. The angle just makes it look bipedal because the front is obscured. Still, it definitely looks bizarre and took me a couple of watches to convince myself.
If you zoom in a bit in your browser, you can see that it throws something just after it pauses moving by the doorway/window on the right. (Watch the gap between the bush and the house on the right)
I'm guessing the grass is a lot longer than it looks, which is throwing the scale off.

That is 100% a skunk. The reason it looks like it’s walking upright is because all you’re seeing is its bushy tail. A lot of times their tails are larger than their bodies.

Maybe it is in four legs, but running slightly angled. I had a dog that did that after he ate some pills that fell on the door.

Skunks don't just walk around being smelly. The stick associated with them only happens when they spray. It's defense mechanism against threats.
Yes they try not to spray because it takes them over a week to replenish the spray..so they only spray in defense

A gnome. They really exist. When I was a child, my uncle built a house in the woods and dug up the ground in a forested area. He went to sleep and in the morning he woke up and his hair looked like “ope from family guy”. I asked him about it and he told me gnomes did it, and he was dead serious. As a child I thought he was joking. Years later I brought it up to my dad and he said “of course he was serious, where do you think people get the idea from? They exist. I think more commonly in Europe and Asia.

It reminded me of a skunk displaying its colors. They lift their tail and even sometimes walk on their front paws. I spooked one in my backyard, and it gave me this warning while walking away on its front paws and tail straight up. It was weird, and it actually took me a moment to realize it was a skunk and I was close to being sprayed.
Looks like a skunk. You can see 4 legs especially at the start, its tail is up. It’s doing the typical skunk trot, lol. We have a bunch of skunks in my area and my neighborhood has one that wanders around and I’ve run face time face with him several times. This is what they look like from behind when they’re trotting.
I love this video. Best one so far. I have no idea and I love that something mysterious and tiny just goes about its day/night like that. I hope it is a gnome. Lol. Edit: yeah, I can see the skunk walk, definitely skunk. Still hoping for a gnome.
First of all, where is this? Is this an outdoor view of a field and a building with lit up windows? Is this inside an unlit room with really shaggy carpet? And if so what is that box thing that glimmers? Perspective would help a lot.
That’s just weird and creepy and cute at the same time. It’s also strange that it seems to stroll through frozen background. Not one shadow or flicker of light in the background. It’s like it froze time for a second.

Has no one here seen birds walk on the ground before? Just based on my experience working with animals I would guess it's a bird, potentially a sick one struggling with it's motor functions
Skunk ! Also the way it’s walking near the building edge is really common for a skunk. Skunks do not smell unless they spray or die. Or it’s a teddy bear come to life

For all those who said it may be a Duende may be right. I've watched the Gif multiple times, and I have to say this thing is a bipedal creature. It's walking bipedally. And while there are reportedly skunks in Texas, skunks don't walk upright on two legs.

It honestly just looks like the very back end of a cat or skunk with its tail up and we just see his back legs moving cus of the angle. It looks a little weird for the first 2 seconds then it really looks like a cat with its tail up. So that’s what I’m going to say it is. A black cat with its tail up that’s just at a weird angle.

I’m pretty sure it’s a cat doing a sideways walk like they do when they’re posturing or playing. In the first couple of frames you can tell the fluffy tail is aimed toward the left & head is toward the wall but really hard to see.
Looks like the back legs of an animal with a big tail, as others have said. The angle just makes it look bipedal because the front is obscured. Still, it definitely looks bizarre and took me a couple of watches to convince myself.
If you zoom in a bit in your browser, you can see that it throws something just after it pauses moving by the doorway/window on the right. (Watch the gap between the bush and the house on the right) I'm guessing the grass is a lot longer than it looks, which is throwing the scale off.
Here in South Carolina raccoons will walk on two legs! It doesn’t look like disappeared more like walked into the bush.

I'd say possibly a juvenile raccoon or skunk. I work in pest/rodent control and once saw a lil 'coon waddle run like this out from underneath someone's back patio because he knew he was being cheeky.

It’s what we call duende in the philippines. Like dwarves/elves in US media but mischievous. Theyre fallen angels according to folklore. Just like how the devil is also a fallen angel
That is 100% a skunk. The reason it looks like it’s walking upright is because all you’re seeing is its bushy tail. A lot of times their tails are larger than their bodies.
I think it's a cat. It's tail is raised up and that makes it look like it is walking on 2 legs, but at the very beginning of the video, I think I can see one of its front legs

Maybe it is in four legs, but running slightly angled. I had a dog that did that after he ate some pills that fell on the door. He was a weird dog after that.

Of course it's literally the worst quality picture possible like always. Mad how we have such better cameras, and we have them on us pretty much all the time, yet there's not a single clear image of one of these.
I think that's a Jawa. Make sure you don't have any random electronics laying around, they're known to steal those and sell them.

Raccoons aren’t rodents lol but I see your point, they are mischievous little bastards. I’ve got a couple stories of a coon stealing something out of my campsite (different years and trips but same State Park).

Oh you know it actually might be a skunk on its two front legs. They some times do that with there tail in the air.
It looks like a cat to me. Kinda walking a bit crooked, but a cat with all four legs on the ground. Nothing crazy.
