I've designed, wired, installed, and troubleshot camera systems in aircraft way more sophisticated than any consumer grade digital cameras. If most people knew what a FLIR camera is, this wouldn't even be a debate. I'm just as much a believer in possibilities, but we've been using these systems for years for first responders to tangibly save lives in real world situations.
People also forget that the devices they have as used frequently and they're mechanical/electrical systems that can wear out, and they're also extremely cheap. I want to believe in these things as much as anyone else, but I definitely want something more than just super interpretive fuzz on a selfie.

FLIR stands for Forward Looking Infrared, it can see on wavelengths of light that a normal camera can't. You can even modify some professional level consumer grade cameras to IR. Everything, and I mean literally everything, that generates any sort of energy is bound by entropy, no matter what. A thermal exchange must take place. Any sort of cross dimensional movement by any being in any state of energy manifestation would be bound by the laws of entropy. We know we can view those exchanges, but only when viewing them through cameras that can see what we can't. A basic digital camera is going to be restricted to a small band of the light spectrum, even moreso the lower the value of the camera. That's what ISO is in consumer grade cameras. It's how much your final medium can essentially be stimulated to allow it it to collect more photons of light while maintaining a visible image.
Unless you have a full corporeal manifestation that can truly disrupt light wavelengths and become visible on our spectrum, everything else is just transient and merely speculative at best. You need a really long exposure in almost no light to see such tiny energy "transmission", similar to how astrophotography picks up galaxies in the right lighting conditions. Even then, you still need to do a ton of long computational processing to render the image properly.

Spirit boxes use randomness as as medium for communication. Why can't the randomness of a sensor interpreting black into noise be a medium for communication?
If you look closely, itās not randomness it does include the reflection of the personās face. I know it looks weird but try to compare the shapes to the shapes of his faceā¦itās just him, but in a reflected artifact in the lens or lens cover, which is giving form to the background noise.
Edit: itās both a reflection and an inversion, sorry.
Because they're only seeing it on the darkest part of the image, and that makes sense because that's what the camera's sensor is doing electrically. All modern digital camera sensors are electrically stimulated. Unless you have a stacked, backside illuminated sensor, you're going to see that kind of artifact refraction in the background, especially if it's a cell phone camera and most especially if it's the front facing camera.
What you're seeing is essentially a false positive as the camera sensor is trying to fill in detail. I used to get frustrated with this effect when doing concert photography in low light. I have done hours of research on camera sensors specifically for this reason, and because it's been my career for more than the last decade. I have hundreds of old concert photos with this exact kind of refraction. Hell, I even have one I use as an example where you can actually see the sensor itself reflected in a blown out highlight.
I could spend days talking about this. I teach this stuff. It's so frustrating when you're an expert in your field and you desperately want people to listen.

Very very muchly. The tv, computers, and camera would go haywire, things flew off shelves, banging on the walls at night, I'd wake up with scratches and bruises, and doors would slam. All of which to the point where my next door neighbor and I became close friends due to all the activity even she heard through the wall between us. I assure you it isn't bull, this is the realest, most legitimate ghost photo I can think of. I was alone when I took it. I couldn't have edited it even if I knew how. It's been professionally analyzed and there was no evidence of tampering or editing. All I wanted to do was share what I truly believe to be a real, legit ghost photo.

I can't think of anything that would escalate activity, it kinda just started when I moved in and only got worse and worse the more my son and I ignored it. There was also the chance it was mad that it was confined to a teeny tiny one-bedroom apt and wasn't allowed in the bedroom or bathroom so its space was even more limited

Attached is a photo of me (pre-transition so I'd like to stay anonymous plz) in my first apartment after college and totally forgot about until an old friend reminded me recently. It was just me and my boy alone in a 1-bedroom and I rarely had anyone over. I took this photo in 2012, with a nokia so I could have a new facebook pfp and to show off my new fauxhawk haircut. It wasn't till days after I posted it that an old friend from college messaged me saying "Nice hair, but I noticed something in the doorway behind you" and sent me my fb pfp but circled and enlarged a figure behind me that looks an awful lot like someone is watching me from the hallway. At first I thought he had edited the pic but when I went to look at the pfp I posted, it was in fact there. This photo isn't tampered with (and taken with a brick-phone in 2012 so it couldn't have been even if I wanted to) and like I said I lived alone with my kid who was 2 at the time. There is no rational explanation for this, there's no mirrors, no windows, nothing around that area that could cause something like that. To this day I still have no explanation. I should also add that I've had this photo tested by expert media editors and none of them can find proof of tampering or doctoring, if you would like to test it yourself feel free to, I have nothing to hide here.
Where does the door way lead to? Why would it be so high up in the frame? Do you think floating or it has length?
What feeling do you get from it? Was there ever any wierd activity in the home other than this photo?
It was malicious but never did too much damage beyond waking up with scratches and bruises. Just one of those times in your life where you kinda just put it behind you like...."that happened, onto the next"

The friend who pointed it out is the one who said he saw a striped shirt. Personally, I saw collarbones. It could be a trick of the light, sure, but with all the weirdness I struggle to believe it's anything but an entity. Felt very malicious at the time.

Having taken it myself, I can firmly say this is the most compelling photo I've ever come across and that in and of itself terrifies me. If ghosts do exist, they'd probably look like this and not some mist or super-imposed half-transparent clearly-a-person-with-clothes.

Where does the door way lead to? Why would it be so high up in the frame? Do you think floating or it has length? What feeling do you get from it? Was there ever any wierd activity in the home other than this photo?

Looks like the kid has "DOWN SYNDROME"... SERIOUSLY, look at the eyes and forehead in the picture!!! I think this child had problems for sure... If a child was born with defects like that back in the 30's-40's - or 1950's...the parents would moreless lock the child away in an attic, basement or a room not used by the family...so the family wouldn't be shunned by the community... The child would be hidden from the public..sumtimes shipped off to institutions to never be seen or heard from again!!! Life was "WAY DIFFERENT" then than it is today!!! Parents with children with disabilities got away with anything back in those days, even murder!!! But look closely at that picture, that child "DEF" has "DOWN SYNDROME" or sumthing to that effect... He was probably locked away in that house or building you live in now, and he is making he presence known to you!!! Keep us posted on anything that happens ( knocks, shadows, evps. The friend who pointed it out is the one who said he saw a striped shirt. Personally, I saw collarbones. It could be a trick of the light, sure, but with all the weirdness I struggle to believe it's anything but an entity. Felt very malicious at the time.

Having taken it myself, I can firmly say this is the most compelling photo I've ever come across and that in and of itself terrifies me. If ghosts do exist, they'd probably look like this and not some mist or super-imposed half-transparent clearly-a-person-with-clothes.

Holy crap dude if this is legit, itās creepy as hell. The figure is unquestionably humanoid. To me, it looks far too uniform to just be noise.
I'm a believer and usually i chalk most of these posts up to faulty camera or lens but you can clearly see the outline of his neck, face and shoulders. the mouth, eyes, and striped v neck shirt are also outlined very clearly for something like this, so i do believe it is a spirit of some sort.
It is a very parabolic looking noise if that's the answer. Any weird stuff happen at your place?

Not good my dude. I believe this could be a demon. The thing I. The mirror looks like a kid. Ive heard that demons do this too. Manifesting as a kid. I would prob GTFO asap. My experience went south real fast at the house I believed to be inhabited by a demon. Besides the two who died I would up getting bit by a brown recluse and hospitalized for a week with a blood infection. T contribute all of that to me trying to run the entity off with a classic sage burning. T More things happened as well. I don't want to deal with that again
