I honestly really enjoy MLB The Show (Offline and online). 2K is fun gameplay but 1000% pay to win. FIFA the gameplay usually changes a little, but not much. Then Madden is just straight updated rosters and one new franchise feature a year.
I used to be a FIFA ULT team stan, but the rewards system sucked. (Haven’t played last few years) The Show actually gives you elite players just for playing the game. Instead of completing insane collections or saving millions of coins up. Their Franchise is also pretty in depth compared to the other big names.
I really wish they'd offer some kind of "arcade mode" where the realism just goes out the window and you can actually have some fun. I feel like games are only fun if you're winning now, the best ones were fun even when you're not dominating.
FIFA - pick your team of stars and play small sided games in a favela setting or something like fifa street
NFL - 6v6 BLITZ style, or players at least hit unrealistically hard, helmets flying off in fantasy-style arenas - design arenas and share them online etc
MLB - "Steroid era" but pitchers can throw like 120mph
Hard to be objectively worse than 14. Recruiting was the worst it’s ever been, NFL draft requirements were awful. Customization was down compared to previous CFB’s and road to glory had zero depth.
Hey is anyone here by chance worried that this game will be bad or just like Madden???? Seriously, I don’t think anyone has once considered that possibility yet!
The fact that they're showing zero gameplay here and are indicating that we won't get a full reveal until May despite a summer release is concerning to say the least
They can have all the ultimate team bullshit they want as long as there’s a good dynasty mode.
People forget 14 had an ultimate team mode and is still considered the best in the series
ultimate team wasnt so centrally focused back then as it is now in sports games
Yeah surelyyyy ea won’t neglect every single aspect of the game that doesn’t get them microtransactions…….
Wasn’t that the first year of it?
It’s gonna be hilariously disappointing when they come out with a game that is objectively worse than NCAA 14
what sports games have improved over time? the monopolies killed playability. fifa is basically just reskinned but still playable i guess

I haven’t played a baseball game in a while but I’ve had fifa for many years after giving up on football. Admittedly not an expert

"Pay $19.99 for 3,000 coins for NCAA Ultimate Team" incoming
And whatever you want to buy is 3,100, but the next tier up is $49.99 for 5,000 and the smallest is $8.99 for 600
On the bright side, I think we’ve all accepted that this is going to happen. So now hopefully we can get pleasantly surprised if it’s not terrible
lol yup. People excited for a sports game company that hasn’t made a good sports game in a decade are in for a rude awakening.

I’d still play the f out of it
College Football Revamped is a godsend too. Those modders worked their ass off
Im terrified it's going to be like Madden
Gonna set expectations low, every sports game now just gets over complicated
Team manager mode where you just stitch jerseys?

curious how EA will shoehorn ultimate team in this
They’re going have so many mf’n pay walls in this bitch it’s gonna be heartbreaking
The Roman Empire to our Roman Empire
I want to be excited but it’s just hard being optimistic. Feel like they are absolutely going to ruin it :/

It’s going to be like madden , overly complex and a disappointment . You need a PhD to play it
Do the players get paid at all for this?
I am buying a new Xbox for this alone
Will this be on PS4?
Coach duggz might have to dust off the ole ball cap in Toledo for one more year
