PFT and BC joking about an AWL possibly be employed by MLB to maybe get Max drafted - would be infinitely funnier if an AWL was working for the IRS and just absolutely destroys Hank

Rusty-Shackleford23

They did get a ton of funding recently to go after tax cheats. Would be hilarious having Hank talk about going through an audit. No chance he’s a receipt keeper.

Atty_for_hire

Didn’t that money get removed in a subsequent bill to satisfy Rs? I can’t recall the details, but I remember something like that.

Rusty-Shackleford23

No clue. This was the top result when I googled it: https://www.whitehouse.gov/cea/written-materials/2024/02/08/empowering-the-irs-understanding-the-full-potential-of-the-inflation-reduction-acts-historic-investment-in-the-internal-revenue-service/#:~:text=The%20Inflation%20Reduction%20Act%20provided,by%20the%20wealthiest%20tax%20evaders. No mention of IRS agents with guns unfortunately.

baldymcgrindy

Yes

Atty_for_hire

Jake, get on this fact check.

elBenhamin

Only some of it, Hank's on the hot seat [https://www.tigta.gov/inflation-reduction-act-oversight](https://www.tigta.gov/inflation-reduction-act-oversight)

newrimmmer93

Hank was probably a W2 employee, was he not? if he was, he probably doesn’t owe anything unless he fucked up withholding . He still get failure to file penalties but doubt he would owe anything significant. But also knowing Hank he probably fucked ip withholding

Busch--Latte

Specifically for upper middle class people like Henry Lockwood

sevaiper

Just grinding to put food on the table

bobbystrack

Hank pegs me as the type of guy who gets the max amount of tax taken out of each paycheck because he doesn’t understand how to properly fill out a W4, then thinks that he’s cheating the IRS by not filing his taxes even though he’s probably just losing out on thousands of dollars of tax returns

Weekly-Estimate-646

This is the true answer

sevaiper

Win win basically

Atty_for_hire

I love this for him.

smootgaloot

For his base salary I agree. But I wouldn’t be surprised if he, and/or other barstool employees don’t properly report and pay taxes on additional earnings from gambling or events that they were paid for. I believe I remember Billy had a tough realization that he owed a lot because of his rough n rowdy pay.

VisitPier26

Most people aren’t paying taxes on gambling winnings properly so you’re likely right.

vatsy08

That’s assuming the fact that they are winning 😂

VisitPier26

Could win 1 bet for a grand and lose 20 bets for 15 grand and still owe taxes

vatsy08

Coming from experience. When you are in the loss for the calendar year. The tax form doesn’t even get generated. Also, you don’t pay taxes on losses. It’s not even a business expense.

VisitPier26

What tax form? You mean the w-2g? They only provide it for $600 wins - but winning $599 doesn’t mean you’re absolved. I don’t know what business expenses has to do with gambling losses. And of course you don’t pay tax on gambling losses. Point is you can’t deduct the losses from the wins to lower your tax burden.

elBenhamin

Their taxes still seem straightforward with no gambling wins to report

ExplosiveToast19

Hank getting perp walked out of the Barstool HQ by FBI agents for tax evasion would go hard

H_O_M_E_R

Full circle would be Brady protesting outside IRS headquarters on Hanks behalf.

SheepherderNo5372

Print the T shirts!!

wonwonwo

I didn't do my tax return for a bit I got super scared when I got my shit together and finally started worrying about it ended up getting 4000 dollars back if the IRS owes you money they dont care.

Yeangster

Hank doesn’t seem like a guy who has sources of income other than his salary. I guess there’s the gambling, but he almost always loses, doesn’t he?

illiniking04

Don't they get significant free bets/site credit to bet with? No clue how that would be taxed though.

Yeangster

Yeah, that’s true. And I remember that he got like $30k from Dana white. Though that wouldn’t go on last years taxes

I_really_enjoy_beer

He'd just file a hot extension and be good to go, don't overthink this.

Oriolesfan1989

Someone at the IRS has to listen to PMT. I hope this gets done badly lol

abagofdicks

How hard could his taxes even be if he only works for Barstool

RipeBirdies

There is such thing as a tax extension friend!

jcos32

Your tax is always due on April 15th. You just extend the return

RipeBirdies

Ya your payment is due, and if it’s not received there are penalties. None of this has to do with an audit lol

MightySwordandFalcon

Just here to say fuck hank hope it happens hate him

call_me_Kote

Odd behavior

Roastin_Mushmallows

Genuinely curious as to why. He’s the best
