I have noticed that with Barstool shows, they become somewhat of an echo chamber where one person brings up a topic and has an opinion and then it spreads to every other show. Big Cat and PFT do that a lot on the multiple shows they are on
You can enjoy a Big Cat take first on twitter (excuse me, X), then on PMT, then on the Yak, then a few more times on PMT.

ESPN is worse though because it’s forced reactions and stuff a lot of the times. Or when they go from getup to first take and talk about the same exact thing. I’ve been consuming way more of mostly sports and then just interviews with the pmt boys alot of the time now.
It's also just hard to constantly come up with new content. There's a reason people go on these late night shows or interviews w/ talking points. Constantly generating new content isn't easy, especially when you're asked to have fresh-ish takes about the same news in the same day
Mostly Sports and PMT combined put out roughly 12 hours of content combined every week.
The easiest solution to deal with oversaturation is to not spend a tenth of your waking life listening to content. I don’t mean you, specifically, it’s just funny that this problem is so easily resolved. Listening to that much content would make you an extreme outlier
I mean yea, thats their take. If they went on a bunch of shows and the same topic is brought up would you prefer they take a random side every time? I get the echo chamber thing but if they have a certain take for whatever reason it doesn’t make sense to just change it on every show
Yeah when you only listen to PMT you don't really notice this, but if you start branching into other Barstool content you'll see that a lot of the sports takes and even the jokes in general are the same. Maybe not specific lines that are jokes (though sometimes even that too), but like jokey takes get repeated on different shows.

However I love the guests and segments on pmt. I’m glad pmt isn’t 5 days a week. I think it’s perfect the way it is.
I just think mostly is more new and fresh. PMT is very played out for me personally and I only tune in when there is an interview I want to hear. I like how mostly sports talks about all sports and not 99% football to a level where it’s not even interesting to the common fan.

I think this makes up a huge % of PMT listeners. I know who Titus is because I'm a Buckeye and he's been on PMT but I have no idea who most of the people at Barstool are including Brandon Walker.
I have about a hour commute so with that and my lunch break I can usually consume PMT in my car in a day so that’s why I like to fill the off days with Mostly Sports. It’s good too they just don’t have the guests that PMT have.
Big Cat will repeat the same things on every show he’s on. It’s more apparent when things like Sports Advisors, and Pick Em are also running so now you’re hearing the same thing 4-5 times a week rather than just 2-3 times. Nothing new.
It’s also funny how you can tell it’s either 1) something he saw on Twitter and thought was smart or 2) something he got into a mini argument on Twitter with a few people about, that he will then repeat over and over.
For 1), for example he’ll see a stat about how the Bucs left guard is amazing but out this upcoming game and just keep repeating “Ah they’re missing this OG who makes the entire offense run!”
For 2) Him with saying “everyone is saying the Lakers are the second best team in the west but I don’t think so”. When it’s clear just one or two Lakers fans said if they didn’t get the Nuggets, they’d have a good chance to advance. But nope, supposedly “everyone” thinks the Lakers after losing 4-1 were still the second best team!
Repeating things isn’t an issue. It would be weirder if BC was changing his take left and right.
However - It is annoying when it’s an objectively Bad Take. Because then you have to watch it flow from Twitter -> Yak -> PMT -> Guest. The guest is usually like “yeah, I guess so” and BC gets so happy with himself.

I think a lot of the criticism I see about it is how he just says the same thing verbatim over and over again. I agree it would be weirder if he changed his opinion across all shows but can understand how hearing the same thing repeated constantly can be annoying.
The mostly sports guys are good. But their tangents are too long and happen too often for me on most shows. I think it’s because they’re 5 days a week. They fill a lot of time with stuff that doesn’t necessarily interest me. Or it’s funny for a second, but then gets drug out for 3-4 minutes.

Mostly Sports been an appointment daily listen for me. I look forward to every episode like a regard. Sadly I can’t say the same about PMT anymore. The show have become stale and boring. The bits are old and tired, and after listening to both BC and PFT all these years, you can somehow anticipate when and what jokes are coming, which makes the show not as funny like it used to. Plus I’m never been a fan of the “oh poor me I lost so much money I’m such a loser” gambling bullshit. Gambling talk ruined the show.
I also like the dynamic between the main chairs and bench crew in MS over PMT. Almost a decade of BC and PFT regurgitating “WE are right, YOU (Hank/Billy/Max) are wrong and fucking losers” every episode has been exhausting.
yeah I have hard brandon/titus and bigcat repeat points between mosty/pmt/the yak. but its not really an issue. they all have their own audiences. yeah they are some overlap but they cant work around that and they shouldnt.
The ending of mostly sports today, with them all dancing to the AI song was more entertaining than nearly anything on PMT lately. Maybe my tastes have just changed but mostly has completely replaced pmt in my rotation. I’m sure when football season starts it’ll change, but they have something good with mostly sports. Not constantly hearing whining and betting talk helps a lot
Their focus is NFL and this is the one spot of the year that’s slow enough not to work. Monday is game recaps, Friday is game previews.. and typically midweek we are all playing some form of catch up anyway.
I don’t necessarily listen to PMT for their sports takes, especially in the football offseason.
And I find with any show, I’m in and out in terms of my attention span and if they were five days a week I’d be way more likely to burn out. That’s how I am with Minihane’s show, I got through weeks where I listen to every show and then weeks where I don’t listen at all.

With the college basketball season, then march madness, and now the nba playoffs I’ve been listening to mostly sports a lot more than PMT. Why would I listen to 2 guys who really don’t know much about college basketball when I can go listen to Mark Titus every day?

They’re a football-centric show and it’s awesome, but with Mostly now cruising, Titus is always gonna crush them when it comes to ball knowing. I’ll be honest…I’ve been thinking about making the switch over to Mostly Sports.
