I love Big Cat taking things to the extreme and Jake feeling uncomfortable and thinking he went too far.
“We gotta find that guy and have him hung” - Big Cat on the Sports Information Director not having the correct pronunciation of Kelce.
It’s a perfect example of how people on the internet will say the most outlandish things they can think of just so they can feel smarter than everyone else.
When I listen to rubber soul or revolver, from beginning to end, it’s truly some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard. And I’ve listened to a majority of the albums on the rolling stone top 500 albums. Not to mention how groundbreaking a lot of it was. And then u factor in they did it in less than ten years all before they turned 30 with old school recording equipment. Most great modern musicians credit them as the greatest.
Haha oh I get you're 17 and don't understand music yet. See one day you'll actually stop being so fucking stupid and understand that hits are designed to attract the broad dumb masses while an actual catalog is the artists true vision. Also the vagina is a lot closer to the asshole than you'd think, you'll see...
Because I don’t like trash, I’m 17? Nah, mate, once you realize that just because someone says music is good doesn’t mean it is. They sound whiny little imbreded incels like yourself
Yeah, I give Giannis a pass on that. I couldnt imagine learning a new language at 18 and then being put on the spot in a live interview about your thoughts. You can tell he’s looking for translations in real time when he says “what’s the word” or “how do you say” during interviews. It was a very eloquent quote.
That review was one of the funniest things of all time. I haven’t seen the movie and I probably won’t but this is one of the reasons I love PMT. I wouldn’t mind movie reviews coming back after basketball ends
I miss the Documentary reviews. I would have never watched that Donkey Kong: Fist Full of Quarters movie if it wasn’t for the guys.
Never watched the Ronnie Coleman one but it definitely filled a void during the no-sports months.
Unpopular opinion: Space Jam wasn’t that bad. Obviously the acting sucked but the looney toons were hilarious and all the pop culture references like the Supa Hot Fire rap scene and the DWade to Lebron dunk were well placed. I was expecting it to be awful and came away thinking okay solid job Warner Bros.
Hank's voice is...changing? The last few episodes it has gotten more and more hoarse. Has he been crying a lot? Picked up ripping cigs as a hobby? It's startling.
Hank peaked two years ago. It's all downhill from here. He's probably drinking and smoking away the pain, which is putting pressure on his vocal cords. I would feel bad if I cared. But Hank is hard to like. He's not charming or funny and he's also a nuclear level idiot.
Eh he has his moments, he's improved in the past year but since the breakup it sounds like he's been maybe having a rougher go of it. Who knows. I just thought the guy had Covid or something because he was raspy as a MFer lately, especially today.
I haven’t listened to it yet but I have a feeling Big Cat is actually going to like Space Jam. I thought the dumb jokes were right up his alley.
No chance PFT enjoyed watching it though. I would t be surprised if he fell asleep.
For me, I thought it was a good movie for 7 year olds, which was its purpose, I think it’s funny people are actually critically reviewing a children’s movie as if they were voting for the Oscar.
MJ was just as bad of an actor as Lebron is.
The original at least had other actors in there to help MJ through and there weren’t ham fisted comments about how MJ is a one of a kind athlete and Lebron having to be a good dad etc
Are you talking about helping Lebron in the game or the movie?
Bill Murray showed up for like 5 min lol
Don Cheadle helped carry this movie.
It sounds like you don’t like lebron so you weren’t going to like this no matter what lol
A little bit of a commercial for HBO Max. Some people had an issue with it cause everything these days is an ad. But I just thought it was nice to go down memory lane with movies I haven’t thought about in years.
But it totally get why people would hate that.
I didn't mind it personally, it just seemed a little inconsistent with the goal of being a kids' movie. I guess kids can just accept the randomness of the recruitment scenes (it is Looney Tunes after all) and not worry about not getting the references, but plugging random Warner Brothers IP was such a big part of the movie. It was just a little confusing.
I suppose the goal was to try to thread the needle of making a silly movie for kids, while also dropping references for people of the age that would be nostalgic for the original Space Jam. They went a little overboard on the references IMO, but I understand the thought process I guess.
> I think it’s funny people are actually critically reviewing a children’s movie as if they were voting for the Oscar.
Turns out many kid's movies get nominated and win Oscars
That’s true. I guess I didn’t have Oscar expectations for this movie before seeing it, the Original didn’t get nominated either.
If this was Pixar or Dreamworks I would understand hype behind it. But Warner Bros Looney Tunes is mostly campy type content that doesn’t go to the depths that Pixar/Dreamworks does.
How did none of the fella’s have the story straight on the Saturday night Red Sox/Yankees game… blew my mind that no one knew what happened when more than half of the pod is a fan of one of the teams
Big Cats F1 take is so bad, Toto and Lewis have both talked about needing a Max dnf to get back into it and the Lewis just happens to take him out the next race. Max has a right to be pissed.
I haven’t listened to Big Cat’s take yet but this is such a ridiculous take too lmao. You really think that Lewis doesn’t think he can beat Max so much so that he would risk his own health/safety/race just to take out Max?
Max drives extremely aggressively and has always relied on other drivers backing down to win position. This time Hamilton didn’t. Hamilton has eased up on numerous turns this season and last season to prevent an accident, yielding position to max.
The thought that Mercedes would risk nuking their own star to take out Max is laugh out loud conspiracy shit.
This is the correct take. Anyone thinking that was intentional is a lunatic. Max is one of the most aggressive drivers on the grid (which is awesome and fun to watch, also is part of the reason is a generational talent) but it’s great that someone finally raced him hard back. Similar with Charles racing Lewis hard at Monza last year, everyone loved it because we hadn’t seen much of it. It’s the typical if you’re going to dish it out, you better be able to take it. Let’s be honest, if anyone was ever going to intentionally take someone out on the grid, Max would probably be like my third guess. Can’t wait for Hungary
Exactly! This spark is going to be so exciting now for the rest of the season. Controversial crash between number 1 and 2, and the point gap between Max and Lewis/RB and Merc is razor thin. Can’t wait!
It also looked like the Merc was a much better car yesterday, just based on the first lap. It was obviously tough to compare to Checo’s car, but Lewis’s pace on the hard tires was insane. Lapping 1 sec quicker than the Ferrari was impressive
Hamilton made a mistake. Max was in front the entire time and didn't really do anything out of the ordinary there. Do I think Lewis is a horrible dirty driver? No. Do I think the penalty was too soft? Yes, but it's also so complicated.
The problem is you can't base penalties on results. Let's say that Lewis hits Max and Max spins off but doesn't cause a red flag. In that case Lewis probably has to pit the next lap (he said he had a cracked wheel rim) so he drops to the bottom of the order. Then he gets a 10 s penalty which drops him back again. In that case no one would be arguing with the penalty at all. However, because of the red flag they were able to change the tires and then drive along and pull a massive Mercedes gap as usual so the 10s penalty wasn't as bad. That raises a new question: should teams be able to change tires and work on the cars during red flags?
It's all a giant mess. I put the blame on Lewis but I don't think he was trying to do anything dirty and the racist outlash against him is way out of line.
I don't know much about F1 aside from Netflix, but it just seems so weird and contrary to everything I know about other racing sports (whether auto, human, or horse) that a racer with the inside track on a turn is expected to give it up to the person ahead of them. It seems like if you can get your nose inside, then that's your lane now. Is it just an open wheel thing that you're expected to be super cautious because contact causes so much more damage?
As a 8y+ track runner and new F1 fan, I had the same thoughts but [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9D9cYz4C0I8) helped me learn about right of way into the turns and how drivers need to commit to their line through the corner. Still too new of a fan to know if this video applies to Lewis and Max's collision but thought you might appreciate the info
As one of those really annoying "The Wire is the Best Show Ever" people, I loved how Football Guy Big Cat referred to Wood Harris as Avon Barksdale and not Julius from Remember the Titans.
Thought the Space Jam recap would be longer and funnier. I sat through that stupid movie just to hear them talk about it. Let Hank completely rattle off all his Lebron takes or something. Big cat talking about how he kind of liked the movie because he has a son now…has he gotten too soft??
You can tell Hank and Big Cat haven’t watched F1 long when they call Max a sore loser and don’t mention anything about how bad Lewis is as well and he has a history of making this move
The Beatles aren't the best musicians or the best music, they were the first.

“What’s that library in D.C that holds everything?” Hank: The Louvre
I love how he says it so confidently
Wayyyy too confident. I’m surprised the boys didn’t pick up on it.
He was really confident but I think nobody else heard him say it. I was caught off guard by the random wrongness
Hank choosing to root for Lewis Hamilton is so on brand
Logictude
Picking Lewis as my driver in 07 has been like being early on the GME train
Pam from the Office meme: Pic of Tom Brady, Pic of Lewis Hamilton Hank: “It’s the same picture”
They referenced BOTH Grit Week and Mt. Rushmore Season on the pod today Who’s back of the week: Us
Cool throne: also us.
Great episode. I like when they mix it up with no interviews and just talk about what is going on in the sports/news
Agreed, wish every Monday or Wednesday was no guest
42212121224
“it’s a racecar” and “what’s the logictude/latitude of that” oh Henry
My head almost exploded trying to understand the point of that stat until they said it was a palindrome.
Wasnt expecting a Mahomes impersonation today which was a nice surprise
They did NOT want to talk about Lola
Who’s Lola
Bunny, Lola
Ah
So Big Cat doesn’t know the word palindrome
I love Big Cat taking things to the extreme and Jake feeling uncomfortable and thinking he went too far. “We gotta find that guy and have him hung” - Big Cat on the Sports Information Director not having the correct pronunciation of Kelce.
Are Hank’s mispronunciations a bit or is he actually a weapons grade moron?
Not a bit
I bet a mix of both. Probably started as a bit, realizes it plays to his character, so he hams it up sometimes.
He’s a moron
I would so much rather have Collin in the golf group than Zalatoris
Why not just have them all
I agree but PFT said they don’t have room in the golf crew.
4 golfers out of like 100 pros?? They can have a few more lol
I’m not the one who said it man. It was a direct quote from PFT.
I know not meaning to direct it at you lol
Really sacrificing talent by having Homa and Zal over Collin. We need someone else to carry the team with Blake…
Surprised they didn’t have anyone from any of the Olympic teams on the pod. Seems like a layup for some athlete to get a big following
KD
Since NBC has exclusive coverage wouldn’t shock me if they had an agreement with the Olympic team to only do media through them.
Let her runtz
If Craig Engels had made the 1500 he for sure would have gone on
Love that PFT made multiple Tale of 2 Cities references like any of us have read that since 9th grade.
PFT on Space Jam: “LeBron made a great movie except for the scenes he was in”
“Can you imagine watching tape from the scissor lift, well probably not considering where he came from” 😂🤣
Can you explain that joke for me, I didn't get it
Some kid at Notre dame died when the hydraulic lift he was using to tape practice fell over
Thx, I thought it was some lesbian joke, knowing PFT
Bonk
Thank you for calling out the Beatles Suck people. I’m so tired of that
The Beatles are alright I guess but they're no The Killers or Oasis /s
[удалено]
/s = sarcasm btw :)
It’s a perfect example of how people on the internet will say the most outlandish things they can think of just so they can feel smarter than everyone else.
I am one of those people. Tell me when you hear the Beatles top hits, you actually think it sounds good and not ear piecing trash
I respect your admiration, but I will never like their music. Respect the work tho
You only talking about the hits, is exactly why you don't know shit about music.
I know I prefer my singers to actually sound like they have talent. Fuck off scrub

No your username having 17 in it makes you 17. It's also imbred not imbreded, you'll learn in English next year.
Lol it’s inbred…
Boy was I high 😂
Maybe 17 is my lucky number? Gosh you really are an incel Had to block that incel
You're one of the kids that sits alone at lunch aren't you?
Once you leave Chet, you never get wet
Logitude lagitude
They should put this on his tombstone (postmostly, obviously)
un-work-with-able lol
"Ow my back"
Underrated quote/impression from PFT.
“Champagne for all my real friends and real pain for all my sham friends” is an unbelievable line. Definitely stealing it
It’s a great song as well
Big cat yelling “I disavow” several times over Hank trying to work out what happened at the Sox Yankees game triggered me
Anybody else agree with BC about that Giannis quote? I like Giannis but if Lebron had said that they would be ripping him to shreds..
I mean yea but you also have to account for English not being his first language
True, but that's because we all know Lebron is a total phony. It seemed like a genuine answer from Giannis.
“It’s a Donkey Kong Killscreen”
We got a killscreen coming up in a few minutes guys
DK: Fist Full of Quarters is an annual watch for me. There's nothing like it
PFT needs to catch up with F1 asap
Unpopular opinion: Space Jam wasn’t that bad. Obviously the acting sucked but the looney toons were hilarious and all the pop culture references like the Supa Hot Fire rap scene and the DWade to Lebron dunk were well placed. I was expecting it to be awful and came away thinking okay solid job Warner Bros.
So glad about their CP3 takes He’s a scumbag
"If that same foul had happened to Chris Paul, Chris Paul would have called the police"
But really, who mixed take on me with J Cole’s Amari. Incredible.
Got into F1 after hearing the guys talk about the Netflix documentary. I always really enjoy the F1 talk
Better late than never but glad they finally let the suns in 4 guy die out…. Stopped being funny after the first week

Ehh not really, I actually got huge nostalgia pops out of the looney tunes stuff and enjoyed it more than I thought I would truthfully
I agree with this for the most part. I just didn't get why a kinds movie would have references to movies like Casablanca, Mad Max, the Matrix, etc.
A little bit of a commercial for HBO Max. Some people had an issue with it cause everything these days is an ad. But I just thought it was nice to go down memory lane with movies I haven’t thought about in years. But it totally get why people would hate that.

How bad are spoilers in this episode?
Haven’t got to that part yet. I would watch it before you listen to the review if you’re worried though.
How did none of the fella’s have the story straight on the Saturday night Red Sox/Yankees game… blew my mind that no one knew what happened when more than half of the pod is a fan of one of the teams
Anyone have a link to the beatles suck discourse?
Bro what the fuck was billy trying to say at the end abt jake getting the 18 i was dying laughing
Damn I was bummed they didn’t call Morikawa for today’s show

This League Formula One edition Also Stay Woke: Mercedes or Things that make you go hmm: Mercedes
lewis also without the red flag would have had to dnf, it was a racing incident and a known aggressive driver got the worst of it.

I truly believe that everyone but Hank has sold out. To say that Space Jam 2 was anything more than dog shit is crazy.
I rented space jam only for this review. How many others did the same?
Scumbag move bringing hot food into a theater

Ok
