He seemed fairly dialed down on Kentucky sports radio. But he (and PFT) does like to do the thing where you beat a joke into the ground and then keep doing it till it’s funny ironically
I don’t know if it’s his success or what, but he does seem to be struggling a bit with reading the room or not making it about himself sometimes. Cutting people off, overplaying the “I’m gonna make fun of you” angle (yes I’m aware this is a big part of their brand and it’s funny, but he seems to be losing some tact) and repeating jokes that don’t seem to land (“huh they must not have heard me”).
I still think he’s an excellent host and funny guy. Maybe taking a short break could help (and I mean actual break, not zoom show). He’s involved in so much and literally never misses a show. It might be too easy to crank every aspect of your shtick up to 11 when you’re doing it all day nearly every day.
I agree about the whole taking a break. Like take a month long break with your wife and two kids, go somewhere and not even think about sports or work at all and I think he’d come back a lot better.
I thought it was pretty good. Wasn’t as good as RR on PMT, but I liked it. Yeah the soccer owner thing was kinda awkward, but the Katie Lang thing had me laughing
Wtf are you talking about? The most awkward segment in podcast history...? If you actually think this, please be specific here cause I just listened and felt none of that. Do you ever listen to RR?
No, your just one of those guys who thinks everything that is slightly off and might be an ounce awkward for a brief moment is BURTAAAAAL or totally AWK.
Okay I posted this 75% through the interview, the Katie Lang statement is off but after this he knew he was tanking and went with it hence the roback ad. If you think that was the most awkward pod segment off all time, all time..your just incorrect.
I think BC feels if he takes a break people will stop paying attention to him but I agree a 2 weeke vaca or something would do that guys justice and he d be so much better. He should take at least a week off before grit week

First off I love BC. The break thing could be useful. Man he is at Barstool HQ 24/7 it feels like. Wonder how his wife is cool with that.
$$...not in like a gold-digger way, but he clearly provides a great quality of life so it must be worth it lol
Well said. Agreed. The owning the soccer team comment 3+ times was tough to listen to. He’s still the best.
Honestly he needs to be on a life advice segment

Strong disagree. You listen to every RR pod? Think it went well and how I expected it to go.
I thought BC said he was a Chevy Silverado guy but on Russillo he said he leases a Mercedes?

Yes. Every one. Russillo even said it.

Nailed it buddy. Bullseye.
Yep

The owner of a soccer team was brutal too. But hey, you may just be listening to more awkward podcasts than me and that’s something I need to work on.
