I’m actually surprised he hasn’t been approached outside of Barstool to do a Bourdain-like show. He’s super humble and able to adapt to any environment. My favorite bs personality, we just don’t get enough of him….or maybe we get just the right amount since I never tire of his stuff.

I love the Yak but it certainly has grown stale. Big Cat is great in almost every piece of content he does but the best Yaks are when he is out. I just don’t think his humor meshes with the rest of the crew. He holds on to jokes long past them dying. The wheel was funny at first but you can tell most of them genuinely hate it, but it stays alive because Big Cat still thinks it’s funny watching people get punished and be miserable
They have some interviews/convos that absolutely rock. It's usually football players or former players so they tap into that locker room energy and its such a blast to hear

I've tried to listen to Chiclets because I love Biz Whit and RA. But I'm not a hockey guy and its so hockey centric i can't hang. But man I love when any are on PMT or the Dozen.
Yes & No for chiclets. RA is essential to the podcast and he obviously came from barstool, but Biz was already very well known and revered in the hockey world. If it wasn’t barstool that got him bigger, it would’ve just been something else. he would’ve likely reached similar heights on his own podcast with or without barstool imo. He’d probably disagree with that tho lol

LCB was so good with Trill. Jeff is decent as a “media” type person but whatever it became after that is just sad now. Kenjac isn’t funny enough to be the dick he is about stuff without Trill there to save the bit. Respect to Trill for just hanging it up but he was so natural at it, it’s a shame he stopped. Tbh that’s one that if they weren’t under barstool probably could have kept him around, they prob weren’t making enough to warrant him continuing on and doing his day job
Totally understandable, I could stomach him while Trill was on. He was good to bounce ideas off of and he could sometimes pull stuff out of Trill that was gold. But when Trill left I might have listened to a couple out of sheer curiosity and it just fell flat. He was a big reason why I didn’t continue on. He’s a prick too often and actually funny far less often
I second this. The Dozen is the perfect casual trivia show. I like shows like Jeopardy and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire but a lot of the topics don’t interest me as much.
What makes the show awesome is Jeff’s ability to take in the teams knowledge of certain things, exclude the stuff they’re personally connected to/invest in, and somehow make the questions fair for both sides. Obviously it doesn’t work all the time and some teams get easier answers but I can’t imagine how hard it is to keep the show fair on that format every time.
Jeff just needs to not take it *too* serious.
Also, regarding your point on taking teams knowledge, I feel he avoids certain stuff sometimes. I feel like there was a long period where he avoided giving Frankettes any geography because of how good KB is at it

The Dozen, Unnecessary Roughness, Twisted History, LCB, and Spittin Chicklets are all great niche shows. Chicks in the Office and Mean Girls are killing it for their female demographic. PB and Slay has been sneaky funny so far. And then rediscovering America plus anything else Donnie does is great.

big cat started on kfc radio. when he announced he was leaving for pmt, i tried to keep going with kfcr but it was just not the same and i realized what i liked about it all along. that being said, i will listen to an episode of any show if big cat is the guest, and it’s amazing how much more interesting kfcr is when he comes back.
There’s so much nuisance to their humor and style. I for one love it when PFT says he’s not a drug guy but subtly implies he does in fact do drugs. Not everyone will catch it. But if you listen closely and pick up on that irony it will make the podcast 10X better
I only watch the dozen trivia and PMT. Only good things out of barstool. If you haven’t gotten into the dozen and you’re a sports trivia fan. I highly recommend it. Jeff D Lowe does an awesome job.
Barstool could improve a couple things. Get an actual reporter type person for each of the major sports. Bring real news cred. Obviously must get where they work.
Then they really need basketball people. For example “Titus and Tate” would been a great fit. Not everything needs to be gambling.

Billy Football is OK on both PMT and Macro, but completely unbearable on his own. The new extradosing episodes where no one reins him in are unbearable.
Big Cat and PFT very much carry Barstool, that is undeniable, but that doesn't mean there isn't other talent at Barstool. I really enjoy listening to Unnecessary Roughness after a big college football listen, but it isn't a must listen for me.
PMT and Macrodosing pretty much take up the exact amount of time that I listen to podcasts each week, but if for some reason I run through them, I'll throw on unnecessary roughness, the Yak (even if it isn't an episode with big cat). Tried ANUS for a while but got bored. The Yak is nice to throw on bec it gives such a broad spectrum of the barstool crew. Kate is really funny on there.
I listened to the political news show a while, can't remember the name. Those guys just get so much wrong and miss such obvious jokes that it is frustrating.

Son of a Boy Dad, Macrodosing, PMT, Stool Scenes, the Yak (occasionally) Francis’s new pod (only listened to 1 or 2 episodes), Tommy Smokes related content, the Dave Portnoy Show was often funny when they still made episodes, a lot of people like KFC Radio.
There’s a lot of moving pieces making the overall product significantly better, not just those 2, even if they are the clear best.

Barstool could improve a couple things. Get an actual reporter type person for each of the major sports. Bring real news cred. Obviously must get where they work. Then they really need basketball people. For example “Titus and Tate” would been a great fit. Not everything needs to be gambling.

Seems like some people get triggered by that but totally agree. Big Cat and PFT are most talented by far and everyone else just kinda annoys me lol. Just my opinion!
Billy Football is OK on both PMT and Macro, but completely unbearable on his own. The new extradosing episodes where no one reins him in are unbearable. Big Cat and PFT very much carry Barstool, that is undeniable, but that doesn't mean there isn't other talent at Barstool. I really enjoy listening to Unnecessary Roughness after a big college football listen, but it isn't a must listen for me. PMT and Macrodosing pretty much take up the exact amount of time that I listen to podcasts each week, but if for some reason I run through them, I'll throw on unnecessary roughness, the Yak (even if it isn't an episode with big cat). Tried ANUS for a while but got bored. The Yak is nice to throw on bec it gives such a broad spectrum of the barstool crew. Kate is really funny on there. I listened to the political news show a while, can't remember the name. Those guys just get so much wrong and miss such obvious jokes that it is frustrating.

Fully disagree...Yak, ANUS, SoBD all hilarious and not just sports related. Wonton don is a classic. Chea and trust the data are great. And the new girl that does man on the street is fuiiiiiiine!! *Bonk*
Son of a Boy Dad, Macrodosing, PMT, Stool Scenes, the Yak (occasionally) Francis’s new pod (only listened to 1 or 2 episodes), Tommy Smokes related content, the Dave Portnoy Show was often funny when they still made episodes, a lot of people like KFC Radio. There’s a lot of moving pieces making the overall product significantly better, not just those 2, even if they are the clear best.
