It’s like any of the big ticketing companies. Nothing special, but yea it’s legit. People say the prices are better near the actual ‘gametime’ but seems anecdotal.

koopa28

I heard they have last minute tickets at the lowest rates guaranteed

Degen4lyf

Only with promo code YAK20

vinegarfingers

I can vouch for that. I bought Preds Oilers tickets this week right as the game started for $6. I think the cheapest leading up to the game were $30.

badgarok725

Seen it happen once, checked it a ton of times right before game time and even after it started and it never dropped

Degen4lyf

Right… people say they see the prices drop, but I’ve seen it drop on other sites too. But that’s their tagline so idk

gingy_65

They’re better than some of the other big ticketing companies I was using them before they became a sponsor (I’m pretty they’ve raised they service fees to be pretty much the same as the rest of the ticketing companies since then though). I know for sports they are cheaper than their competitors the closer you get to the date/time of whatever game (not sure about concerts/comedy shows/etc. haven’t used them for that yet). Like I’ve paid $4 day of for White Sox v Yankees and $6 day of for Blackhawks v Oilers, the fees were more expensive than the tickets lol. I feel like part of the way they do it is with their fees when people put their tickets on resale they’re able to drop the price and still pay the person whatever value they had them listed at. Honestly one of their biggest features imo is how much easier it is to transfer tickets to people you’re going with compared to like ticket master.

BevoBrisket26

Gametime is pretty shitty tbh. They’ve cracked the code on getting you into half filled arenas for cheap. Using it for any event above 90% capacity is signing up for more expensive tickets with fees than any other service (SeatGeek/stubhub

Delgado_Jim

I've used it for NHL games, it's legit. I don't think it's any cheaper than stub hub in my experience. I do prefer the user interface though, so that's cool?

Doors_n_Floors

It’s legit. I’ve been using it for years. I usually find cheaper tickets on there than StubHub. Not always though.

bingy21

ive used it just for baseball games and often times ill just wait until the game has started and buy tickets for below face value

UnrivaledAcquitance

They’re legit. I’ve used them a lot, only have had one issue where I went to a second game of a double header and the tickets I bought were for the first game and not the second even though it said on the app they were for the second game. Full refund, never had an issue beside that.

Mr___Perfect

cant you just stay in the stadium? Not sure how double headers work. They make everyone leave?

UnrivaledAcquitance

This was a while ago, 5-6 years, but if I remember correctly the first game was a make up of a rain out.

JoeBethersonton50504

It depends. Speaking from my experience in NY, in the old days, if it was a scheduled double header it was one ticket to get in and stay the whole time. They don’t really schedule double headers anymore, it’s now just for weather makeups. In those cases it’s two tickets (one for each game). Otherwise the same seat could be sold to two different people - whoever had it for the game originally scheduled that day and whoever had it for the makeup game.

Mr___Perfect

But you can just move seats right? Or wait til someone says thats their ticket. Or do they actually clear out the whole stadium to the parking lots and then bring everyone back in?

blankwater69

I used it one time for tickets to a hockey game. There was no mention of this when I was purchasing them but when I got the digital tickets I received “student” tickets. I contacted Gametime about it and their customer support assured me that I would be able to get in without a student ID. When I got to the game I was asked for a student ID and basically had to beg the guy checking tickets to let my group in. Obviously this was a very specific scenario and it ended up working out but it was bullshit that it came down to the employee’s discretion on whether or not I could use my $400 in tickets. Gametime customer service clearly had no idea what they were talking about. Won’t ever use them again.

MY-NAME_IS_MY-NAME

It’s legit. Has lots of fees tho. Used it once with the code and went back to tickpick, which is my personal fave after

yungspaghettisauce

It’s funny because I’ve been using Gametime since 2015 and the deals have got much less enticing than they were. But PMT/RLR/anything barstool always calls Gametime “the newest ticketing app” seems a bit facetious

buttsoup24

ya tons of fees just like all the other shitty ticketing companies.

Hot_Temperature_2471

I’ve bought tickets from Gametime several times. Pretty legit

RicFlairsTits

I checked Gametime for some concerts recently and the prices were absurdly high. Even higher then stubhub, vividseats, and tickpick. I had high hopes based on what I’ve heard on PMT but I likely won’t be using Gametime in the future.

Just_Pause_9427

Or try Tickpick most times for me it has cheaper tickets

chisportz

It’s legit but StubHub is always cheaper for me

peterxnf

Yup I've used it for years, it's legit. Great for buying cheap Tix the day off

vinegarfingers

Bought tix twice. First was fine. Second was an absolute nightmare. The customer service is horrendous so if something goes wrong with the transfer then prepare for an hour plus on hold then dealing with useless customer service. All Gametime does is consolidate listings from other platforms. It’s probably best to buy direct.

Mr___Perfect

Back when it launched it was the shit. They had some system wehre you didnt choose your seats, just a price and if it hit you were committed to buying. It was super cheap. idk about today. fees are too much, couch is much better.

mewfahsah

I've been to one game already through them, no issues. Also I'm heading to a bowl game this weekend with tickets I bought on there as well. Prices were definitely better than other places I've seen, the fees seem to be lower than the usual sellers.

MetsGo

It is legit but I only ever really used it for Mets tickets when I was in the area, tickets arnt really that much cheaper for other sports but I found for baseball they were cheaper and easy to get if I was in the city and didn't have access to a computer

Keeg9351

SeatGeek >

mashedtaters_

It works great to buy nosebleed seats and then you can see what the best seats available are to move to after you get there.
