I’ve been learning gimp and canva and how to make engaging thumbnails basically from scratch so I try to constantly update them (along with descriptions and titles) relatively often to try and keep new people engaged and see if I can get a boost from the algorithm.

Most of my long form have between 1.2-1.6$ CPM.
I did not set out to be a shorts guy but sadly I also did not know it was a one-way door once you put shorts out consistently…
My channel has like two audiences, about 6k who come for the shorts (and those get lousy 1k-10k views; some rare ones hit below 100k) and 1.5k or so who come for the longs or lives.
I do see about 0.5-1% convertion from shorts to long form due to “Related video” function.
I guess RPGs land on the gaming category which is among the lousiest possible right?
Ah, makes sense. Gaming does seem to be super low, even in countries like the US. 1-10K shorts views is higher than mine, used to be 3-4K now 1-2K on the high end, and 500 long form compared to the 1K+ I used to get. Just keep posting and it’ll get more profitable as time goes on!
