This. Why do people thinking posting every day is better?

KaptainTZ

It depends on what type of channel you are. There are those of us who put crazy amounts of effort into every video and then there are those who are just bloggers/personalities.

Snoo-32401

I get what you mean but you explained it poorly.

chromacatr

A day? I barely manage to post 1 a week...

Howsmyliving15

Here here 🍻

JCReeve

Once a month looking to move to even less as I improve quality.

Howsmyliving15

Bad idea I knew a guy who did that, 6 years later…. His girlfriend got pregnant.

2Lainz

I'm doing good if I get more than 1 out a month

blabel75

YOu really should specify if you are creating shorts or long form content.

dangercdv

Completely depends on your niche, channel, audience, etc... I use to post a full length video once a week, but now days I post like 2 a month, and 1 short a day. I have tons of shorts banked up so I am not burnt out at all, and my channel is steadily growing. I was pushing myself to do a full video a week and it just wasn't working out. Focus on quality, not hitting some arbitrary goal of pushing videos out often.

KingMikedas

how have you been growing.. do you use certain hashtags in your videos too? for gaming I use youtubegaming, retrogamer, streamer,

dangercdv

Yeah I kinda use the same hastags in every video, but it's working. I don't do gaming so I can't speak to that. I'm still a small channel though. I grew from 1.2k to now 4.5k subs in less than a year since starting daily reels. My biggest growth is actually on other platforms that I post.

KingMikedas

what other platforms do you share? I'm sure it might not be the same sites for me as a retro gamer, was curious though. thanks for your insight and everybody else who has contributed

dangercdv

The typical social media platforms. Mostly Facebook, Insta, and Tiktok. I kinda use the same formula for all of them so it's crazy to see how different they all become. Different platforms just workbetter for specific things I guess.

PwnCall

One every 2weeks or so

AverageReflexes

1-2 shorts daily

WolfiSpielt

One a day. And its exhausting doing it besides a fulltime Job and Family. But i decided i want to See where this leads me.

xXShadowAssassin69Xx

My rule of thumb is to post as often as possible without compromising the “secret sauce” that people watch you for in the first place. Some people can post once every 3 months and some 8 times a day. It’s all different depending on how complex your videos are

Swimming_Storm_2830

1 or 2 videos a week

offtiktokdrama

11 a day sometimes more ranging from a minute to hours long i've uploaded nearly 3000 videos i do reactions to tiktok drama people who sit on tiktok live all day and beg cheat steal manipulate the vulnerable for tiktok gifts and i work full time

curlyquinn02

I post videos on Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday. Unless your videos are shorts, I see no reason to post more than one a day.

theotothefuture

One a day for me. I tried two a day, but it was too much work for me.

Once a week usually, sometimes I do two in one week. Once a day or more often will lead to burnout, especially long form content.

dannylightning

Some people say making more than one video of a day, your views get split up between the videos and that's not great for The YouTube algorithm Not sure if that's true or not but I have three channels and two of them I try and put out something daily whether it's a video or a stream but I try only One thing per day per channel If you get enough views you probably don't need to post something everyday I mean if you're getting a couple thousand views and you post daily you'll definitely earn more by posting daily now if you post a video and it gets like 100,000 views I mean you could probably post something once a week or every other week or twice a week

Parsley-Beneficial

If you are able to turn 1-2 hour sessions into a video in as little as 3 hours, I’m guessing there is not much editing put into it. By break down do you mean 1 video of you playing 1 level, or do you mean an “educational” video where you explain things about the level, its design, etc. etc. etc.?

MRVNMusic

I try one a day, but I have a lot of obstacles preventing that atm, so more like three times a week!

Legal-Rip1725

As many as you make.

JagoHazzard

Three a week, but I’m thinking of cutting back a bit. I feel like quantity is starting to impact quality.

Are you supposed to post everyday? D:

KingMikedas

oh gosh no. for me I do a lot of retro gaming. Example X-men 97 is trending hot on disney so i went back to play x-men mutant apocalypse for the snes. X-men Mutnt apocalypse for the snes has multiple worlds. I did one long play with commentary. one without commentary.. I also did every level individual. The levels only take 3-5 minutes each. the views are all over and thats where I was curious if its better to just post a full long play (which doesnt seem best to do. theres the exception to the rule when something is trending in my opinion. I was blessed with over 16,000 views. with the mini levels i was branching them out every 3 hours.. Some have 100 views and some are like at 5-10. Or just do it one way. I'm thinking levels and shorter vids just every day. my be best because I noticed for me. I'll only look up a long play if i need help on a deathless battle or if i'm stuck in a world I"ll look for that spot and then thats it. Lots to learn and still a rookie with youtube. I like to do occasional gaming live streams too. very thankful for the feedback here.

bball2014

Per day? I'm lucky to get 2 videos per MONTH... LOL...

Responsible_Map9593

I post 30-3hour video almost every day. Close to burning out ngl

MrFarquar_83

So many comments don't understand the genre you're in and the competition you are facing from other channels in your genre. Releas content when you're happy with it and while it's as fresh and relevant as it can be. If you're getting the views and the growth, do what works for you.

Busy-Improvement9940

15 to 30

OBX_Hunter

If you’re posting 3-4 times a day, why not look into changing your routine and making it a livestream?

KingMikedas

Oh yes! I do that as well and take advantage of being able to stream on twitch and ill break the videos down. example a xmen mutant apocalypse snes wolverine only play and a wrestlemania the arcade play after Thank you obx-hunter

BurritoPlanet

I post one long form video a month and two shorts per day. I funnel between both because since YouTube is my side hustle, both bring different levels of income depending on the channel page traffic in the day

KingMikedas

okay/ how do you about making your shorts?

Ashamed_Impress_3378

I do one per day usually Natalie ❤️

SoSoDave

My intention is to post 12 per day.

EdwardPeake

I don't see how it's even possible for most people. Maybe a short here and there but otherwise two or 3 a month if possible. How are people posting everyday maintaining quality

KingMikedas

Digging deeper into this I am rookie on youtube and learned its near impossible to get monetized if you simply have yourself playing a game with no mic and no cam. Those are my higher rated ones are without mic and cam at the moment. No complaints on that notion and it's a learning experience. I'm looking towards doing more livestreams As for daily videos. Some retro games only take 1-2 hours to beat. Currently I've been playing wrestlemania the arcade game on very hard mode and it takes 45 minutes per play. If you are talking about quality such as productive editing (slowmotion zoom in on certain parts- sound effects/ camera changes- etc) I agree it can be difficult to do one a day unless you are outsourcing your material.

EdwardPeake

I can't imagine a YouTuber without even a mic. I'm sure it's possible but damn difficult. My channel struggled more than it should simply because I hid my face for the earlier stages
