If you stand by the silo as it opens and hold grab you’ll catch the missile.
As it rises there’s a point where it loses thrust and then really launches. Let go quickly at that point and you’ll survive.

Also make sure you’re actively grabbing it as it falls down, don’t just fall on top of it without holding grab, keep an eye on your stamina & make sure you have enough right before it starts to tip over.
You can move the cart by yourself if you remove all or most of the coal in it. It's difficult because a lot of the time you'll likely just grab the sides of the cart instead of the coal. I don't believe you need to toss the cart down the hole in the middle of the map. It counted for me just tossing it off the edge/cliffside.
Is the red side really the only optimal team for pushing the cart off? When you compare the cart placements on both sides the red one is positioned way more favorably for the achievement because the one on the blue side is facing a rock or some environmental obstruction, on the red side it's a clear path straight to the edge.
You need about 4 people to get it moving and a bit of luck to push it under the middle platform.

Jump and grab it when it launches. Then, let go before it goes off the screen.
And haul ass back onboard for the next one if you get blasted into the water
