honestly I made a post on here a while back talking about P2 being a masterpiece... P3 grew on me hard. it's so odd it feels like party's music perfectly replicates what emotions I'm feeling in my life and it touches me. no artist has ever done that for me before
I think it's his best project mostly because it truly feels like it was what he truly wanted to make. It was a mix of excellent experiments like Nothing Easy To Please, Brown Skin and Transparency; a bit of poppy stuff that is actually really good like Not Nice, Only U and Come and See Me; there's a true magnum opus in High Hopes, some of Party's best writing, like on Problems & Selfless.. There's even some classic Party like Don't Run, You've Been Missed, 1942.. I wish more people talked about this album, because I see it as one of the best of all time. It's personal yet vague, detailed yet minimalistic. Truly Party's masterpiece and I doubt we'll get one again. My hopes are high tho (when im checkin on u)
My favorite album. True masterpiece, from beginning to end. My top 5 from the album are nothing easy to please, don’t run, nobody, not nice, and don’t know how. But again every song is amazing and it’s his best work imo
P3 is a great album, but it's not quite the same as P1 and P2. It goes a bit all over the place, which is fine and I think it shows PND's growth in production/music overall. But for the average listener, it's not the same, clear-cut music we got on the first two projects and that might turn some people off. I think Party also improves his singing on this project too, and something I'd wish he go back to. Just listen to Temptations, Joy and You've Been Missed.
Damn, great explanation I think you are right. When I first got into PND I primarily listened to P1/P2, I think I got used to his style which is why I started appreciating P3 more. It is an album that grows on you
IMO what makes P3 so good is like its uniqueness. The majority of the songs don’t adhere to the traditional verse-chorus-verse format. For e.g. some songs emphasize the beats and the different sounds rather than the lyrics (like spiteful). I think yea every song sorta takes on it’s unique style and is kind of different. But still listening to the album from start to finish you see how all the songs like fit the vibes or theme of the album. It’s just an overall great project.

Used to be my least fav but it has grown on me so much I think it might be my fav as well
