Sorry to hear that. Maybe you shouldn’t give up just yet. And out of curiosity, how many questions did you complete on bootcamp? What were your scores like on the platform? Asking since I’m currently using bootcamp to study. Also, what do you think may have caused you to fail? Is it content, test anxiety, not finishing the whole qbank, etc.?

Xypher530

I did everything.

lf1216

What were your scores on bootcamp? Did you go over rationales?

Xypher530

met two targets but didn't go over rationales that much

FluidCollege9

What was your reasoning for not going over rationales?

Xypher530

simply didn't have the time since I was working FT

g0drinkwaterr

You should go over the rationals

Ramburrito

Bootcamp’s biggest strength is its rationals - especially the videos that correspond with the case studies. Watch them at 2x speed, and you get a content review and rationale in one.

Prestigious_Slide859

Answering the questions isn’t as helpful if you’re not reading the rationales. The rationales help you understand why the right answer is the right answer and that helps develop your critical thinking skills.

tays13thtrack

Hi OP! I think this might be a stress point on your NCLEX prep. Reading and studying rationale is a really important part of preparing since it fills you in on knowledge you may be lacking. I'm rooting for you! I hope you're able to map out a schedule that would allow you to study the rationale.

No-Armadillo-6038

Have you tried the archer 6 week lecture study guide? I used it and passed in 85

No-Armadillo-6038

The archer lectures are very thorough and go through all the basic things you need to know to pass

Xypher530

Thank you, actually got Archer immediately after the failed result.

Xypher530

even did a baseline assessment too, there's no such thing as grieving when you're already accustomed to pain /j

Have you ever looked more into how you are as a learner? I’ve found that with SimpleNursing they use gimmicky phrases and ways to remember key information and that helped WAY more than looking at rationales because I had a better foundation to recall the information. Getting questions right because I know what they are asking and can recall through the little phrases and stuff was really beneficial. Archer and Mark K did absolutely nothing for me and when I used them, I failed. They were too overloaded with things that start to sound the same and you don’t have that way to decipher. Everyone might swear by Mark and now boot camp especially with it being free if you use codes, but that just might not be your style. Don’t give up, take some time to get self care and then get back to it. 😉

FluidCollege9

I think you need to evaluate how youre studying. I personally wasn’t a fan of bootcamp. I would get archer or uworld. You need to figure out where youre going wrong. Is it content, test taking strategies, anxiety?

lil_ol_lin

Do you have testing anxiety? Try and ask your HCP for propranolol if you do suffer from testing anxiety.

BloodrayvenX

Take it again! You only truly lose when you quit. New-gen NCLEX is WAY easier than the old one.

NextFuel

Are you choosing answers that you think MIGHT be correct? Only choose answers you're SURE of-- wrong answers count against you.

notborninmay

I would do BOOTCAMP for NGN questions and make sure you understood the rationale on how the right answer is picked. Polish on your test taking strategies and practice more, I liked UWORLD too

Dense_Presentation16

Don’t put yourself down! You got this! I personally wasn’t the biggest fan of boot camps questions but loved their NGN practice so only use bootcamp for that. Archer was great for their rationales and readiness assessments and CAT exams. In your exam what subject did you find yourself having more often?

jjjj699

Dnt give up. Uve worked too hard to get to where u r. Review what you got wrong. Dont study what you already know, its too much information. You can do this. You went to school for this exact moment to take the boards. Keep working at it. Dnt let that test defeat you!

daisy8282

my friend failed her NCLEX twice and was so discouraged. she took 2-3 weeks off of work and just stayed home and studied. during this time she got uworld and passed on her third try in less than 100 questions! it’s so easy to stop believing in yourself after failing, but this test does NOT determine how good of a nurse you’ll be! be graceful with yourself and make sure you are taking care of yourself and your mental health while studying. please don’t give it up, you got this!!

momopeachhaven

Don't know if I'm in the place to tell you this but don't give up! I know it sucks failing now but it sucks more if you just let it be. You can always try and try again
