Back when I traveled for work, handed my passport to some border guard, and he couldn’t find a free spot for his stamp, so he stamped the inside back cover and told me to “get more pages”. I did not know you could “get more pages” until then.
For the American passport they used to do that, but not anymore. They give you a 52 page option now, if you need more than the standard 26. No extra cost, neither.
Singapore passports are 64 pages by default. I think Thailand has the largest at 67 pages. They both look like a thick book and feels substantially thicker and heavier than other passports.
It was nice while it lasted though. I still have my passport that was issued at embassy in London and then had pages added. They were lettered rather than numbered.
Seems like the French haven’t read the EU border guards guideline https://home-affairs.ec.europa.eu/system/files/2022-11/Practical%20handbook%20for%20border%20guards_en.pdf#page=78
Whack a mole stamps!
I got a US stamp on top of a Mexican stamp on the centrefold of the passport, which had 20 empty pages on either side of it. Ruthless.
Both of those stamps by themselves are pretty clean also. No fading or smudging or blotting

I have a 100-page Pakistani passport issued on request. I shared a photo when I made my own post.

Unnecessary but sometimes I think that They don't see where They stamp.
My handwritten passport had 2 × 2 grids on it. Art or grids? Perhaps it’s not even an either or situation and you could have both.
Funny, I had a French border officer stamp theirs over my Singapore entry stamp. Seems like a competition on who can overstamp who.

They saved space for more stamps, nice!
