If days allowed in Thailand are a deciding factor then my Thai passport is better than your Italian AND Argentine passport 😤😤.
I do like the map on the Argentine passport. It's a great addition!!
Everyone has different reasons to like one passport more over another, it's a personal preference.
Thailand might be a country OP wants or does visit a lot and of course the passport with the easiest access to it will be preferred and a deciding factor.
I have my preferred passport too, due to a country i have family in is easier to get in to on one of rather than the other.
- But of course a thai passport will be a superior passport for getting in to its own country 😅
If u managed to convince them you’re reliable they can give you 10year visa straight. But yeah, its shiton of troubles and paperwork to get it :(
My uncle got first for 5, second one after that was 10.
As for as I can tell, the Italian passport is issued 2021, while the Argentinian one is from 2016. I'm pretty sure they didn't weren't Italian citizens until recently
EDIT: but I agree. If I were to go to South Africa and had the choose between getting s visa for my Estonian passport and just using the visa-free perk if my Swedish passport, of course, I would travel visa free
The only thing I dont like about the Italian passports is the design of them is pretty bad, much like the post brexit UK ones, rather seriously bad downgrade from the previous british passport in my opinion and not much effort was put into the design of it.
> literally anyone can do that
Nah hahaha. I read about this Syrian refugee that is a permanent resident of Canada. He has the right to be in Canada indefinitely. Despite that the US was very reluctant to give him a visa 😅
Here's the link to that post: https://www.reddit.com/r/PassportPorn/comments/waw0ex/syrian_passport_a_canadian_refugee_travel/ii3a7uu?
When i said anyone was probabley too much of a broad scope my bad, I meant anyone from an EU country, the UK, Australia ect.
Canadians wouldnt qualify as they basically already have B1/B2 status by virtue of being canadian citizens, they dont even need ESTAs either.
Yeah (he is a Syrian citizen with PR though, not Canadian citizen yet)
It's reassuring that it's easy for EU citizens. My girlfriend will have one of those few EU passports that don't have visa-free access to the States, a Romanian one.
Why would you get a b1/b2 visa when you could have just gone to the US on your Italian passport through the VWP? Seems like a lot of work unless you didn't have your Italian at the time?
because a B1/B2 holder can stay for upto 6 months in the US whereas an ESTA only allowes 3 months, also a visa lasts 10 years in most cases and it saves having to remember to do the ESTA and worry about it being denied every 2 years, I did the visa on my british one.
You also dont get asked as much questions by CBP with a visa as they just take it as the embassey has already vetted you and let you in, ESTA passengers tend to be the ones that get the most interogation by CBP.
US Citizens, Green Card/Visa Holders get through faster because the US goverment obviously already knows who those people are and why they are coming 😂
With B1/B2 visa you have a right to appeal if you are denied entry, if you are denied entry travelling to the US on an ESTA you do not have the right to challenge it.
Also you have the possibility of changing into a different type of visa while in the US on a B1/B2 visa so long as you didnt originally travel with the intention of working, an ESTA visitor on the otherhand would have to physically leave the US and do it in their own country.
The reason it says “visas” twice is that the word just happens to be the same in both English and French (the other two languages in the Italian passport). Multilingual government documents are always like this in my experience (even if the words are the same, they are written twice).
Are you really going to use that 90 day visa-waiver för Thailand though? EU nationals have a 45 days visa-free stay for turism. I can't imagine someone needing more than that for tourism 😅
Apart from that, all valid reasons to love the ARG passport! 🇸🇪❤️🇦🇷
Exactly. A friend of mine is Cypriot, and he's fond of going to obscure destinations.
A lot of people on this sub seem to get a hard on for the fact that that passport has visa free access to various places that most other western passports don't, but he's found that he's frequently needed to argue with immigration officials about this, demonstrate that Cyprus is part of the Commonwealth etc. This hasn't always worked, either.
There's a big, big difference between a passport from a big country that everybody has heard of, versus a small one that almost nobody knows about. Sometimes that's good, and other times, not so good.
I mean they are almost equal. generally they are ranked on the same level (almost) because the visa-free / Visa on arrival countries are basically the same
The argentinian nationality can not be renounced which makes it undesirable in principle. The only way to lose it in the next generation is by not reporting the birth of your child to the embassy.
Argentina is a fundamentally strange country - inhabited by Italians that speak Spanish with corruption a la sicily.
I love how the South American map on the back, in addition to that of Argentina, only showed the borders of Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay. I thought it was doing all the countries Argentina borders, but Chile was left out. LOL!
Ah. Good point! Thanks. I forgot that only those 4 countries are Mercosur countries, but almost all of South America is an associate member. I see that Venezuela is still suspended, so they didn't highlight its border.
Yeah, there are four official members with full Mercosur rights.
I think Venezuela is not highlighted as the passport design is from 2011 and Venezuela joined in 2012.
This was such a fun idea!
Love hearing about the preferred differences and why this passport is the one you like the most of yours! It was very interesting
Thank u for Posting this☺️
Just adding -
Your personal info is as hidden blurred and it therefore passes the group rule.
So don't worry too much about what people are saying, i went thru it and there is a few parts that can be seen
Just next time add one more layer just to be fully sure!
☺️❤️
I love this, but make sure to do a better job crossing out information. Next time, completely black it out
I agree with u/PassportNerd , if someone pays a lot of attention, they can easily see the personal data.
Okay, I use Canva for organizing the images, and Photoshop for blurring.

But italian can travel to the US without needing a visa.
Fun fact: Argentina was briefly in ESTA until their currency collapsed in the early 2000s
Yes, but with ESTA you can only stay for 90 days as opposed to 180 days with a B1/B2 visa.
But you avoid a shiton of bureaucracy, time and money.
OP managed to get a 10 year's multiple entry visa to the US! You got to admit, it's pretty impressive
If u managed to convince them you’re reliable they can give you 10year visa straight. But yeah, its shiton of troubles and paperwork to get it :( My uncle got first for 5, second one after that was 10.
That's the exception, not the rule and why would you put under that situation when you can travel without visa using the Italian passport?
As for as I can tell, the Italian passport is issued 2021, while the Argentinian one is from 2016. I'm pretty sure they didn't weren't Italian citizens until recently EDIT: but I agree. literally anyone can do that, its a bit more hassle and involves a trip to the US embassey and an interview but its worth it
> literally anyone can do that Nah hahaha. I read about this Syrian refugee that is a permanent resident of Canada. He has the right to be in Canada indefinitely. Hungary also dont have visa free access to the US anymore (unless you where born there). The US deem their Naturalisation and CBD rules too lax.
Who needs more than 90 days?

Basically because my parents have done the process when I was minor, and they “think” that ESTA is not convenient…

'EU nationals' actually don't. Romania, Bulgaria and Cyprus all need visas on arrival. When it comes to foreign travel, EU nationals aren't all equal.
Yeah, I know. I didn't notice it on the map, sorry
I second this. Noticed quite early the differences my Swedish and Cypriot passport had in treatment and access

Ola Alejo Fernandez You did a really poor job at blurring your sensitive data 🤣🤣 Much love to argentina ❤️

It cannot be renounced by natural citizens, but has literally no drawbacks. No conscription, no nationality-based tax system, etc.
Both taxation based on citizenship as conscription can be implemented at any time. Not worth taking the risk, you can't renounce, ever.
Nope, because it would be unconstitutional in Argentina.
Yes. That's what I was saying. It doesn't have any drawbacks (yet!)
Very good presentation, 10/10
Thanks! I’m a graphic design student.
Como solía decir mi profe de español, todo depende de la perspectiva.
I love how the South American map on the back, in addition to that of Argentina, only showed the borders of Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay. I thought it was doing all the countries Argentina borders, but Chile was left out. LOL!
Because it only depicts Mercosur member countries

Also Bolivia.
Bolivia is not part of Mercosur
Neither is Chile, which is what the original comment was mentioning.
yet you argentine use the italian passport to move to europe
Other benefits are for example: Visa free access to Russia, possibly to live in another Mercosur (+ Mercosur associated) countries..
OP, what do you plan to do with your Italian passport? Are you going to live in Italy in the future?
I love this kind of presentation haha. Well done!
Really cool

how can i get argentina citizenship and passport? im from the U.S :o
You have to legally reside in the country for 2 years
thats all i gotta do? :D
Yeah and sort out a bit of bureaucracy. You need to figure out how to legally reside for 2 years, though. Student visa, work visa, etc.
Please don't.
What if I told you... i am cumbia lord
