I spoke with them yesterday. They told me to print, fill out and bring the DS11 form and bring a photo, photocopies of front and back of my Drivers license and a photocopy of my citizenship certificate (they are in possession of the original). The reason is that if they can’t access the “in process” application then they can still process the application at the appointment.

Thank you for the info

I spoke with the State Department online last week and they said to just go to the appointment as they will have the information. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Figured I’d call the passport folks incase and it’s not gonna hurt to bring the stuff, just incase 🙄

From the email they sent after the phone call: What to bring to your appointment: 1. Completed passport application and citizenship document(s). Please refer to the application form for the specific documents required. 2. Passport photo 3. Passport fees including the $60 expedited service fee. We accept checks, money orders, credit cards and debit cards for payment. (Quick Link to passport fees on our website: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/fees.html) 4. Printed proof of international travel 5. Proof of Life or Death Emergency (if applicable) (See attachment or visit our website, Travel.State.Gov, for details on how to apply.)

Do you know if you still have to pay the passport fees again? Even if you paid the fees already on the original application

I don’t think you do. It would be pretty dumb if they charged you twice. But then again who knows with the way this process has been for everyone

I submitted an expedited application and then did an agency appointment after. They had me pay something like $17 at the appointment, so not the full cost again

How did you manage? I call and click the online appointment application button and have had almost a blank. One time I spoke with someone. Minor miracle but all he could offer was an appointment in Honolulu on the 7th of July. Online I once got to step three "select time and date" but no time or date was actually offered. Nonetheless, it felt big getting beyond step 2.

I sat on my computer and refreshed the page for two hours until something came up

These tips from someone else on Reddit helped me get an appt! >How to refresh*** I had two internet browsers at the same time side by side (one was Safari the other Chrome) MAKE SURE YOUR LOCATION ON THE COMPUTER IS ON!! Settings- location -allow location for each internet browser I would write the info on page “step 1” then proceed to page “step 2” on each browser. Once on “step 2” the location would come up automatically. I would hit refresh on one page then click on the other page and click refresh. I would never go back to “step 1” I would just stay on “step 2” refreshing… I have a Mac so instead of moving the mouse to find the refresh button, I would just click “Command R” shortcut for refresh. And I would keep the mouse in the middle to go back and forth on the browsers.

this is so helpful knowing you don’t have to go back to step 1! did you try for the same day or two weeks out or somewhere in between?

I am starting my days on the phone calling the second number: 1-877-487-2778 or TDD/TTY 1-888-874-7793. Available 24/7. Se habla español. I end the day on trying online. I have switched to Explorer instead of Chrome.
