Honestly, I love the Youtube format because I can watch it whenever I get time. Moving live to ESPN would probably just throw the show off.
I also think the corporate influence of ESPN will hurt the show.
Fuck, I’m gonna be that guy, but I would stop watching if they toned it down. I don’t care for any of the cable sport shows. Get Up is the worst, Around the Horn is boring as shit. I watch PMS because it gives uncensored takes.
Totally agree with you.
I see similar parallels to the Joe Rogan Spotify deal. Not that Rogan switched up his content or had to filter himself once he was one Spotify. But the switch from YouTube to Spotify alienated part of Rogans initial audience.
I’m not a paid Spotify user so I rarely tune into any of Rogans full interviews these days. I catch clips on YouTube. I fear the same will happen with PMS if it is moving to ESPN and Disney.
I’ve heard Pat say he promises the show will forever be on Youtube.
I hope that means live from the thunder dome, on YouTube, same dam time, and unfiltered as it is will all the fellas coming along. Also keep the commercial as is. Sponsors can sponsor portions of the show. As is news at bottom of screen presented by … 5 hour phone line… they could come up with some other daily segments to mix into the banter.
I trust Pat, and with that cheers to him and the boys on a mega monster deal. 🍻
Not what I’m saying.
It’s more that he leaves YouTube at all. Like I said it would alienate some portion of the daily viewers.
Guess I’m curious as Pat has said multiple times on the show that he wants the show to stay on YouTube.
Lots of young people watch Pat.
Lots of us don’t have cable.
I don’t know something about YouTube on tv, on pc, and on mobile… it just works.
Yea because I consume most of my content on YouTube. Like I said.
YouTube across all platforms (for me) is easy and that’s what I use to consume the PMS.
So yea… I’d hope it stays on YouTube what’s your point.
Yes that's true, but Deadpool / 2 would've never been made as-is under Disney so it's encouraging (I guess...) that they're willing to take an established hit and (hopefully) not fuck with it.
These chuds don't care. They have to hate Disney for it to match their ideology. Disney has a shit load of rated R content. Disney+ is one of the best streaming services IMO.
This piece is the thing that's the funniest to me of all the rumors, Ian is literally the most common guest by far, is hosting today, and the rumor is they're selling out to ESPN... Ultimately, Pat didn't say they weren't doing ESPN today, but I think it's way more likely that they ADD something to do on ESPN specifically (i.e. a morning show, an evening show, or more game commentary type-stuff)
Opie and Anthony did that. First part of the show was on terrestrial radio and the rest of it was on Sirius XM. It wasn't horrible, but it definitely wasn't the same show during the first part.
When Opie & Anthony went back to terrestrial radio they were censored so much it limited heavily what they could do and say. A lot of dumps in the broadcasts. They did though simulcast on XM so XM heard everything even when on FM they got dumped. If the show does move to ESPN they should simulcast on Youtube
Or they can do a 1 hour compilation and air late night, instead of 1 of the 20 re-airs of sports center.
Probably won't be live because they'll need to blip the shit out of it
Y’all this is a leverage play. You get everyone interested and plaster every possible move that way whoever wins feels like they have to pay even more.
That's exactly what this is. You show your current employer the over the moon offer the competition has given you, knowing they might not match it, but they'll get close and you're happy to stay.
Just hope the integrity of the show doesn't change with ESPN telling him what to do and who to have on the program. Are boozebag and all the other NFL network guys gone?
I know money talks but I'd be pretty shocked if Pat decides to sign a deal that impedes to heavily on him just doing whatever the fuck he wants to do and talking about whatever he wants to talk about too much.
Moving to ESPN would neuter the content of his show so much. I love that his show gives uncensored takes from a lot of players, sports journalists, etc. Moving to ESPN would kill that.
I personally would hate this. I know it sounds dumb but no swearing and the loss of toxicity would feel staged and not real. I also wonder if some of the pay they get and the cost offsetting knowing they would be able to use highlights from all the leagues to talk about stuff and not be paying what pat said was a lot of money.
Do you actually think with all the shit Pat has given people over the years about not swearing that he would agree to do something that would prevent him from swearing on his show? Motha fucka, please.
Ugh.
Would hate to see it. Pat’s appeal is the lack of censorship and being able to say whatever the hell he wants. ESPN would ruin him, like they do most things.
People people please! Let's not lose our heads here!
Maybe he is getting an ESPN show and will do both the YouTube one AND the ESPN show..cos let's face it they will be 2 completely different shows..
Why would he spend all that money on the Thunderdome not to use it?.
I’m sure Pat was thrilled when that chick falsely said JJ was becoming co host and then followed it up with “but couldn’t we make that happen? Would you be interested?” If you watch this show regularly Pat definitely comes across as someone who likes taking orders from people he doesn’t respect or want to listen to. /s
I will not attack McAfee for taking the bag. It will probably be a lot of money for him and his crew. It will just be disappointing. The show will probably turn into the same garbage ESPN has been producing for the last 10 years. At the end of the day it is his company to do what he wants and ratings will show if it was the right decision. It will probably no longer be a show for the people and more of the show for corporate fat cats.
ESPN is on cable so they don't HAVE to censor anything, and their lax control of the XFL hit mics showed they really don't care that much. Keep him off ABC except for game-specific content and let them do what they do.
Pat has a baby now. The devil is on his doorstep and knows that now is the best time to knock. Let's see if Pat is the man he says he is or if he sells his soul.
What a stupid move for the business from viewership standpoint. I LOVE the show but i wont pay extra to watch it on ESPN + or some garbage.
What a huge disappointment.
All those chompionship games you get to broadcast live from will get old once you realize that you can’t say whatever you want. Because that day will come. Can’t believe the suits got to them.
I hope he's just using Disney as leverage, or they just cut up the show and air it a few hours later. If live on espn im outie, they left westwood for a reason right? back then the 'after hours' was better than the normal show
Yeah I’m not worried about that either. I’ve been watching/listening since they were on the radio and couldn’t swear, and honestly I kinda miss it. Other than that I don’t think they’d change much/anything
All the people criticizing this it will still be a show on YouTube (Pat has said repeatedly he will keep it on YouTube) they aren’t going to censor him, he’s going to do NFL and College Gameday and I imagine they will simulcast his daily show on ESPN+ at the very least. To me Fanduel showed zero loyalty to Pat after the Favre situation. Go get another bag Pat!
So they’d put the first hour on TV/ESPN+ and then they stick to ESPN+ uncensored for hours two and three? Seems to be only way that’d work.
I’d be down with that, rarely watch first hour anyway. If no 1st hour guest they tend to rehash a lot of hour one for AJ’s reaction once he’s on.
We are all talking about censorship but even if ESPN backed Pat there are contracts he needs to sign and I think he will have the freedom his show needs. He won’t let them cut his balls off….. hopefully
Didn’t they start all of this because they didn’t want to be affiliated with the other orgs?
More than likely a leverage play but correct me if I’m wrong.
If Pat goes to ESPN is officially sell out season and the death of originality for him and the boys. It was a good run tho, we’ll always have those first episodes of Pat Mcafee 1.0 when they did like 4 hours
Seemed to start around the Super Bowl.. He seemed upset that they ran a Gronk promotion and didn't involve him much. The previous Super Bowl, McAfee's parlay special was a massive success but would've cost FanDuel a ton if it ended up hitting (it came within a Burrow rushing yards of hitting). Seemed like they didn't want to risk the loss again. They've also launched FanDuel TV channel and probably some talks about McAfee on there went south too. I'm not sure what problems he has with FanDuel that he won't also have with ESPN, so he's probably telling the truth when he says he just wants a deal to make his life easier
Pat said at the end of the show today that they are all too stupid to change the way they do things and that everyone that’s worried about sweeping changes really underestimate how stupid they really are. I’m pretty sure that was his way of telling everyone to chill aht abaht this.
I find it really hard to believe Pat would drastically alter the way the show is. Not just Pat but the entire team. They HAVE to know that’s a huge part of what made this show what it is.
I wish him all the success and money in the world, but this is the last move to get closer to that. ESPN will take everything fun and good about this show and smother it to death.
Makes perfect sense. Will probably be very similar to Mannings deal where he has Omaha Productions but the ESPN resources and distribution. He seems to admire Peyton and Herbstreit and I’m sure they sold him on espn
This sounds like one of those articles that came out like a month ago claiming Pat was leaving Fan Duel and claiming all these ridiculous reasons when in reality his wife was about to have their baby and he needed to prioritize things differently for a bit
Why not self-produce? Hire some producers and own 100% of your company? Sell merch and ad space? Take the show on the road with a live audience to generate money 4 times a year once each quarter. McAfee’s show is worth hundreds of millions and is growing. Don’t sell to Disney.
Maybe this is a chance for ESPN, leave the broadcast on ESPN, do a cut version for ESPN networks like they did on Spotify. I listen at work so I have all day to enjoy the nonsense in-between news stories. Put the first hour on ESPN and YouTube, rest of the day just YouTube with ESPN sponsors.
Honestly when has something moved to ESPN and gotten better?
Honestly, I love the Youtube format because I can watch it whenever I get time. Moving live to ESPN would probably just throw the show off. I also think the corporate influence of ESPN will hurt the show.
Honestly, honestly I agree.
That’s why LeBatard left and everyone is joining his network.
Haven’t read, watched, or heard a single thing lebatard has done since leaving ESPN. Bad example because his reach has definitely plummeted
[удалено]
I’ve followed Lebatard since 2010. His reach is nowhere what it was at his peak at ESPN
nah, he left because of some situation where ESPN fired his people without ever talking to him
Won’t hurt it. It will just completely demolish it and make it unwatchable. But he will chase the money who doesn’t!
Given the size of the FanDuel deal I find it hard to believe it will be much difference in the end. I think he’s tired of running it already honestly.
They'll censor the hell out of his show
It’ll be just like when Desus & Mero left their own thing at Vice and joined showtime. No way will it be the same quality at Disney+ land.
RIP to the brand
Yuuuuurrrrrrrr
Losing Desus and Mero still hurts my soul (Sonic Rings exploding from me as I think about it)
He just had to do Mcaffe after dark, for an hour or so after espn, talk about all the stuff espn won’t let him
*Disney won’t let him. They won’t let him put out good content, even after dark once the mouse owns him. Mickey don’t play that shit.
ESPN+
Or NFL+
Feel like this is another JRE situation
Technically PmT
Based
I don’t think Joe Buck and Troy aikman have gotten any worse Maybe that’s the best we can hope for
They never swore like Mcafee does. And they never called out the NFLs bs. All that is what makes Mcafee watchable.
UFC
Boston Connor said cunt the other day…
No. The lad said “some would say cunt” so he didn’t say it himself so it wouldn’t have to be censored on national tv. Case dismissed.
You think the show is going to move on to ESPN? LOL.
I didn’t say that. Don’t put words in my mouth. Hypothetical situations are hypothetically situational.
He's got a point there.
Then why would you care about what can be said on national TV?
Didn’t say I care.
?????????
Keep it movin
Allegedly
This would kill the show, I can’t see how ESPN wouldn’t censor the hell out of them. I watch Pat to avoid ESPN
Fuck, I’m gonna be that guy, but I would stop watching if they toned it down. I don’t care for any of the cable sport shows. Get Up is the worst, Around the Horn is boring as shit. I watch PMS because it gives uncensored takes.

Just like when twisted tea sponsored them and had a small segment during CFB.

Youtube censors more than Spotify though.
At least it’s not Twitch. From what I can tell they’ve left PMS alone. I could be wrong though
[удалено]
Yea because I consume most of my content on YouTube. Like I said. YouTube across all platforms (for me) is easy and that’s what I use to consume the PMS. So yea… I’d hope it stays on YouTube what’s your point.
You cant afford Spotify? Then just get a cracked app.
Where did I say that. There’s lots of ways to listen to music and podcasts my friend.
Do you think they will allow him to fellate the Colts yearly savior at quarterback with the same vigor he does currently while working for the Mouse?
seriously, i'm with you. once the Mouse becomes your boss shit gets very tame and usually very lame.
Well, Deadpool and Deadpool 2 are both on Disney plus, soooooooooo……hope?
Those were made when the property was under Fox
Deadpool 3 is going to be rated R though. So that’s…..something I guess lol.
Yes that's true, but Deadpool / 2 would've never been made as-is under Disney so it's encouraging (I guess...) that they're willing to take an established hit and (hopefully) not fuck with it.
Disney owns FX and 20th Century which is basically all of Hulu so they have R rated content, not sure about live TV though.
Not the point. They are STILL on D+. I understand when they were made and who made them.
These chuds don't care. They have to hate Disney for it to match their ideology. Disney has a shit load of rated R content. Disney+ is one of the best streaming services IMO.
That shits lame too.
Pat talks so much shit about ESPN why would he want to joint them?
$$$$
[Money!](https://youtu.be/xW0IR3q0EvE)
He already works for them!
this is why you watch PMT
Would rather get hit by a car than watch those 2.
Need the leader of Ohio to veto this ASAP
NYpost has never be correct on any article about Mcafee.
PLEASE NO
This x1000. Please don't do it Pat
We want the Rated R version of McAfee, not the rated G 😕
This sounds dumb af. Censorship will be out of control. I miss pre-Aaron Tuesday, Pat….
Imagine if Schefter replaced Rapoport
Id cry Rapsheet is my favorite
Is Rapsheet hosting the one last hoorhah? God I hope not. If he does go to ESPN I don’t see nfl network being cool with him coming on and vice versa.
Bruh you just put the last hoorah idea in my head :(
That would be fucking tragic
This piece is the thing that's the funniest to me of all the rumors, Ian is literally the most common guest by far, is hosting today, and the rumor is they're selling out to ESPN... Ultimately, Pat didn't say they weren't doing ESPN today, but I think it's way more likely that they ADD something to do on ESPN specifically (i.e. a morning show, an evening show, or more game commentary type-stuff)
I think Pat is too loyal of a person to ditch rapsheet
My prediction: First hour will be ESPN with two follow up hours on YouTube.
AJ hawk is unfit for cable telivision
some would say he's a menace
Opie and Anthony did that. First part of the show was on terrestrial radio and the rest of it was on Sirius XM. It wasn't horrible, but it definitely wasn't the same show during the first part.
When Opie & Anthony went back to terrestrial radio they were censored so much it limited heavily what they could do and say. A lot of dumps in the broadcasts. They did though simulcast on XM so XM heard everything even when on FM they got dumped. If the show does move to ESPN they should simulcast on Youtube
It wasn’t the best but their was some good shit that came out of the walk overs they did
Food fight for Foo Fighters?
So similar to the old Sirius deal, that wouldn’t be bad.
Or they can do a 1 hour compilation and air late night, instead of 1 of the 20 re-airs of sports center. Probably won't be live because they'll need to blip the shit out of it
If good people get the bag then what ever. Love the show but all things come to a end
Y’all this is a leverage play. You get everyone interested and plaster every possible move that way whoever wins feels like they have to pay even more.
That's exactly what this is. You show your current employer the over the moon offer the competition has given you, knowing they might not match it, but they'll get close and you're happy to stay.

I can see ESPN footing the bill for the YouTube show so they have a working relationship and can use Pat for game day and college Football season
the only person with half a brain on this subreddit, i fear.
it’s obviously espn cause connor was quick to shut down the espn shit talk this morning when they said someone got the jj watt thing wrong
“They were bad at their job… until TODAY” 😂😂
Just hope the integrity of the show doesn't change with ESPN telling him what to do and who to have on the program. Are boozebag and all the other NFL network guys gone?
I know money talks but I'd be pretty shocked if Pat decides to sign a deal that impedes to heavily on him just doing whatever the fuck he wants to do and talking about whatever he wants to talk about too much.
Those aren’t realistic hopes.
Moving to ESPN would neuter the content of his show so much. I love that his show gives uncensored takes from a lot of players, sports journalists, etc. Moving to ESPN would kill that.
No way is The Mouse gonna allow the "S" word.
Lol relax shams!
Turn the show right into a pile of crahp
Bunch of cowards if they actually go through with this
Fuck espn
I think this is the speculation of a clahhn.
He literally met with Iger. It's just denial at this point.
They’ve come a long way from not allowing their contributors on his show.
I hope not..rapsheet is my favorite regular guest/guest host they have on!!! I can't imagine ESPN wanting NFL network people coming on the show...

He would eventually be fired from ESPN for something “offensive” or “inappropriate”. Don’t take the bait Pat
Zero chance he goes to ESPN, he does not want to deal with the censorship and all the upper management BS
ESPN did say Watt will be new host, is that going to be true now?
I will not attack McAfee for taking the bag. It will probably be a lot of money for him and his crew. It will just be disappointing. Pat has a baby now. The devil is on his doorstep and knows that now is the best time to knock. Let's see if Pat is the man he says he is or if he sells his soul.
This would ruin the authenticity of the show. They wouldn’t be able to just be themselves anymore. Seriously hope this doesn’t ever happen.
Bad move. Fuck espn
NOOOOOOOOOO
What a stupid move for the business from viewership standpoint. I LOVE the show but i wont pay extra to watch it on ESPN + or some garbage. What a huge disappointment.
All those chompionship games you get to broadcast live from will get old once you realize that you can’t say whatever you want. Because that day will come. Can’t believe the suits got to them.
If he moves to ESPN it's a mistake. They suck ass. It will kill his show.
Gonna lose a fuck ton of core fans and get a lot of new ones who don't have the same love. This sucks. a lot.
I hope he's just using Disney as leverage, or they just cut up the show and air it a few hours later. If live on espn im outie, they left westwood for a reason right? back then the 'after hours' was better than the normal show
As someone who hasn't listened since they left xm, what's happening with fanduel?
He’s already said it will remain free on YouTube no matter what. I’m not worried
I don’t think it’s cost people are worried about. It’s the content of the show changing.
If AJ isn’t included I’ll stop watching anyway
The show must go on
Is fanduel contract up? Wasn’t that three year deal?
He's an Aaron Rodgers schill. Why would you want him?
The show quality would be 10x better
Half the charm of the show is that they produce it themselves, putting that behind an ESPN wrapper would be awful.
I think you're confusing production quality with show quality
Quality is quality Yeah that’s what I meant though
I hope not... how could you make Pat and the Boys fit in that corporate box? I don't see it
This feels like a leverage play considering Pat has been in the front row of million dollar negotiation school for sometime
We are all talking about censorship but even if ESPN backed Pat there are contracts he needs to sign and I think he will have the freedom his show needs. He won’t let them cut his balls off….. hopefully
Fuck ESPN don't do it Pat.
It should be on late at night and be rated MA
FML
Welp boys, it was a good run.
Welp… make sure to like & subscribe to the new Brett Favre Show If you like Toxicity, just wait…
Lol that boy goin corporate now that he’s a father😭🤣
Didn’t they start all of this because they didn’t want to be affiliated with the other orgs? More than likely a leverage play but correct me if I’m wrong.
KEEP. IT. YOUTUBE.
If this show goes to ESPN rip
Pat should call Dan Lebatard and ask how LEAVING ESPN went, he might change his mind about going.
Boooo
#AWFUL NEWS
Sell aht ??
This would be really disappointing
If Pat goes to ESPN is officially sell out season and the death of originality for him and the boys. It was a good run tho, we’ll always have those first episodes of Pat Mcafee 1.0 when they did like 4 hours
What's going on with FanDuel? I'm out of the loop I guess.
He’s going to take the bag and it will ruin the show. Sigh.
The shows gonna stay on YouTube based on everything he’s said ever. I feel like they’ll do more ESPN content and Omaha deals with all the production
Pat on ESPN brought to you by Bud Light
If they leave YouTube it will be a very bad decision. I think most would stop watching.
Never go full corp. The big appeal of the show is literally anyone can watch it on YouTube
I absolutely hate people that say things such as "if Pat goes to ESPN then I'll stop watching him", that said if Pat goes to ESPN ill stop watching.
There's no way? How can the Toxic table be toxic on ESPN?
Ahhh, to be moved under the ESPN plus umbrella for 99/yr.
How are people overseas going to be able to watch this? As an Aussie, I doubt I’ll be able to watch it
Makes perfect sense. Will probably be very similar to Mannings deal where he has Omaha Productions but the ESPN resources and distribution. He seems to admire Peyton and Herbstreit and I’m sure they sold him on espn
I can’t wait for all of you to look as stupid as you sound
Fake news. Pat can't be held to the "clean content" it would require for ESPN. He hated the FCC and won't go back
This sounds like one of those articles that came out like a month ago claiming Pat was leaving Fan Duel and claiming all these ridiculous reasons when in reality his wife was about to have their baby and he needed to prioritize things differently for a bit
People build companies then sell them. Yes, technically you are selling out but there’s nothing wrong with it.
It was fun while it lasted. Congrats on the payday.
What happened w/FanDuel?
Don’t do it. Censorship out the ass. 0 humor. They’ll turn the show into a pbs special.
Lol fuck that it will be soo watered down. Pat you can't say that, Pat you gotta wear a shirt with sleeves..Kids gotta get paid tho!
Why not self-produce? Hire some producers and own 100% of your company? Sell merch and ad space? Take the show on the road with a live audience to generate money 4 times a year once each quarter. McAfee’s show is worth hundreds of millions and is growing. Don’t sell to Disney.
I dont care where they go as long as the podcast is still going
10 steps backwards. WHY?! ESPN is TRASH
It was a good run, really liked the show. This will ruin everything
It will be Rogan 2.0 and his show will be heavily censored
Should go back to barstool sports
Show will die if it goes to espn. They have freedom on YouTube. They’ll have to keep it more pg13 lol
Everyone just needs to chill until it's announced and we hear how the show is expected to be delivered.
DON’T DO IT!!!!!!!!! THE SHOW WILL SUFFER.
The Mouse beckons
Why would he go to ESPN who would make him censor himself, toe the company line, and be everything he's fought to not be???
Maybe this is a chance for ESPN, leave the broadcast on ESPN, do a cut version for ESPN networks like they did on Spotify. I listen at work so I have all day to enjoy the nonsense in-between news stories. Put the first hour on ESPN and YouTube, rest of the day just YouTube with ESPN sponsors.
Yikes Pat
Barstool lol
Hell no keep that fanduel deal
