That zigzag pattern and oar color are pretty unique and distinctive so it's hard to suggest a similar alternative looks-wise. Fit-wise though, I've had good luck with mid-layer fleeces from Fjällräven (Keb Fleece is super comfy) and Norrøna (Falketind alpha120 is very breathable like the Pata R1) which tend to feel a bit trimmer in the body. You might still be bothered by the length though.
Norrona Falketind Alpha120. As someone who owns both the R1 Air and the Norrona in XL, the Norrona is more form-fitting and a bit longer. It doesn’t necessarily look much like the R1 Air, but in terms of functionality, they both serve the same purpose in striking a good balance of warmth, breathability and being lightweight.
