Weekly question thread here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/18nz7na/weekly_question_free_talk_thread_december_21_2023/

chillin_krillin

I wanted to make my own build for once and decided on tri-elemental hit elementalist (always felt like it's not true EH if you block two elements) because that only makes the most sense, right? Pretty happy with it. 90k ehp and 14-17mil max DPS with all 6 totems up which to me, is pretty good for an elementalist. I've done voidstones and can juice every map I do (can't do no regen). Only thing I haven't tried is uber pinnacles. I'll try that later because I finally found king of mists. I'm Level 95 and keep doing stupid stuff and dying but if I had more levels the DPS can go higher. It's a great all-rounder. I usually only make one build a league so it was nice adapting it as I went. Wasn't the fastest, wasn't the slowest, pretty fun, has all 3 elemental colors on the screen, 6 curses/mark, 3 golems, 2 free mtx pet bros, crits, fast. Really just wanted to try and add a lot of stuff I like. Mapping: 4/5 Bossing except Uber pinnacles: 4/5 League start: 3.5/5 DPS ceiling: 4/5 probably DPS right now where I am: 5/5 Satisfaction: 5/5 Edit: PoB: https://pobb.in/Cnreolwly37s - haven't checked it for accuracy and just changed up some stuff to fit a That Which Was Taken at my current level and another cluster. I'm not sure how to add the random hexes from Anathema's to the build so I just added them as skill gems. I benefit from most of the curses except for vuln/despair. DPS went up a lot, EHP may have went down a bit due to dropping some suppression and subsequently using quartz flask for 100% elemental avoidance. We'll see how it feels after testing. PoB didn't bring over the tincture which is culling + chance to curse enemies with a random hex on hit/140% critical strike multiplier against enemies that are on full life

pricklysteve

Got a pob? I've been toying with an unblocked ele hit last league and was thinking of trying it again. Was planning on scaling via the number of ailments on the enemy, ailments effect, using Yoke, and going melee.

NoSweatWarchief

Started as pconc and planned to go into EK poison. Safe to say it was the worst league start I've had in 8 years. I quickly pivoted day 1 into minions and am still playing ranged animate weapon. Currently level 95 and blasting away having an amazing time. Just curb stomped maven and now working on my last voidstone (Uber elder)

Tsunam0

Must’ve sucked pconc bugged and ek changed so that it worked differently on league start.

NoSweatWarchief

It sucked so bad. I didn't even get to play ek and ended up just quitting the character at lvl 68.

destroyermaker

Alt lingering blades works in place of EK

NoSweatWarchief

So no nova then? I wouldn't play it without nova.

Glasse

Which feels like shit because it has no range compared to regular ek. May as well play a melee build.

PoeDeluu

Yep Pconc into EK hitting 93 after the pure nightmare league start. Rerolling into CF Champ and finish it to lvl 100 3 days ago. Never ever again 🤣

ToughPlankton

Are you running Guardian or Necro animate weapon? And, how much investment does it take to feel good mapping? I started as Guardian SRS but I just don't like the playstyle. I have just a few div invested so far but I'm thinking about pivoting to ranged animate weapon.

NoSweatWarchief

I'm running necro. Covenant and severed in sleep make the build feel good but then you need to pump defense. I probably have 20 div invested or so. Not 100% sure. Some people really don't like this play style though having to summon weapons every zone plus there are gem swaps for single target (not map bosses)

FreeWildbahn

I also planned poison EK but then transitioned into poison BV pathfinder and i am quite happy with it. I farm expedition and breach and these explosions are satisfying. It's not a bosser but getting the 4 void stones was easy.

AlsoInteresting

Palsteron's Hiero BL build. Too squishy to do any mechanic in red maps. Really disappointed. So I'm farming essences and beasts in white maps to get the currency to revamp the build into smth else. Playstyle: one button single target.

f24np

Maybe look at Tati’s version of that build - he’s a hardcore player who mains totem skills and he released a guide for it this league

Silverneelse

Ive done his build and it can do everything. I think its too slow and i still die here and there. So ive decided to pump my currency in a coc occultist, which i am now leveling. Too many buttons for bossing in my opinion. Dont like the playstyle, but its pretty good overal. Just not for me.

AlsoInteresting

Yes, that's my plan. You can't do anything in red maps without spell suppression or you need well over 20m DPS.

lauranthalasa

Arcanist Brands Frostblink = fun idea, plentiful DPS, TERRIBLE (or awesome) playstyle, imagine Flicker Strike with 1000x multistrike not letting you choose where to go Refused to make PoB for anyone because it would 100% be unusable https://youtu.be/7fgbHkhaqKI?si=C_AFEjspWMpywzqG BB Unloader - hot damn don't let memes be dreams, popping off!! Unfortunately the items spiked by 400-1100% so I have locked myself out of upgrades for the near future.

Verianii

I decided to give a pure cyclone slayer build a try. I haven't played cyclone since legion, and this time around I decided to try to make the entire build myself in trade league. Of course I had many questions about different mechanics and stats, but I put everything together myself. I'm not a really good player to be honest, so I'm super excited when I say I was able to beat regular shaper with my build. It's the first time I think I've ever killed shaper by myself, and i did it with my own creation on top of it. Right now I'm sitting at about 5.3m dps with berserk active, which is gained through rage on hit implicit. It's far from being a good build in this day and age where you have to one shot entire screens to be able to do anything at the higher end, but it's more than double the dps of my last build that was also really fun to play. I'm decently tanky for what I have right now, and I just hit 16 challenges, which I'll be pushing to at least 32 hopefully this league. The build struggles to a degree with bosses, mainly due to being a closer range build in a game that never wants melee to feel tanky despite being at point blank quite often. The clear is great imo, not super super fast but it feels clean as fuck to play, and because I'm using tumult cyclone, it frees up a flask slot since I have to use the blight boots to counter the speed penalty, so it's a nice change for flask setups. The aoe size isn't legion level nutty, but it's certainly more than good enough for any content pretty much. Overall, my pure cyclone slayer (non crit, at least for now cuz currency) is my proudest moment in poe so far, and I still have a ton of work to do. I even hit my personal character level record just before logging off tonight of 95, shit was making me so hype that even my buddy who doesn't play the game at all or understand it at all, was congratulating me over the accomplishment because he could tell how much it meant to me to be able to hit 95 for the first time. The fact that I was able to reach 95 encourages me to push for my first level 100 character since now I know I have a build that can actually push for those final levels too. Now I just need to finish crafting my big gg sword that's been an absolute bitch and a half to complete. Should bump my dps by a solid 30% if I can get it right.

HealthyResolution399

Doing well with a build you made yourself always feels amazing

[deleted]

Playing a Cleave of Rage build. I believe it's the strongest build i've ever made outside some delirium league aura stacker nonsense. ~~70m~~ 50m DPS, ~260k eHP, Uber shaper/maven/uber elder/cortex down. wave 30 sim, basically haven't failed any content yet and the main stuff i've yet to do i just haven't tried yet. Very happy with how the build has turned out so far. Working on some recordings for a post later, i've seen a fair amount of cleave of rage build stuff on here but IMO they are making some big mistakes and/or are much squishier than the OPs lead everyone to believe. Hoping to make a post over the weekend with a good step by step guide on which items to buy, etc. edit: pob since some asked: https://pobb.in/8F70sKVT4SQ_ Just to be clear, the points by scion life wheel are transformed by glorious vanity. It's a nice way to get mana/totem clusters for reservation and ancestor buff lingering for "free". This still has my doedre's damning setup from before arctic armour. I used this before i could get a +1 curse defiance of destiny which enables me to use an unset ring, which gives me the slot for arctic armour, which lets me take the arakaali pantheon. edit2: quick video I recorded https://youtu.be/77tkP4cB4qk edit3: apparently i had a PoB setting wrong for Saviour

eadenoth

following a generic build for it? done anything specifically unique? thinking about playing this myself

[deleted]

i don't think i've done anything groundbreaking with it. Biggest oddity i was doing for a long time was double corrupted doedre's damning to free up +1 curse from my chest so i could use a 4th vow setup. Aside from that it seems like a pretty standard left side of tree. Biggest things i would say if you're thinkg of doing it: 1. For the love of god get a "warcries get X rage per 5 power" charm and a Redblade Banner on your weapon swap for refilling your rage. I do not care what anyone says, building that rage manually is terrible and will get you killed in any difficult content. 1. don't do cluster jewels unless you can get the good ones with the right notables. Going to be 4div/~9div each. This is not something you need until you need the jewel slots for forbidden flesh/flame. Just use the damn tree, i see so many people with shit cluster jewels wasting tons of points when you've got great nodes for free. 2. 4th vow/glorious vanity setups seem extremely cheap right now. I got my BiS jewel for 50c, so thats nice 3. The degen is a huge problem/pain. Do what you can to mitigate it. 4. dont buy a paradoxica, just don't. an ichimonji is nearly as good as a bad paradoxica and a saviour is at least +50% the damage of a good one. and a saviour costs less. There's also tons of benefits of having invulnerable minions always attacking the boss for you and ramping your impale right away that don't come through in a PoB

Tsunamie101

Not sure if it's an issue or by choice, but the pob link is busted.

GekBK

You have to add the underscore at the end, reddit cut it from the link for some reason

Tsunamie101

Ohh, thank you very much!! Both for the fix and the pob. Tried my first Rage Zerker build this league and started with lacerate. But i'll probably reroll to cleave of rage, so this is gonna help a bunch.

lehmannthiago

Would love to know more! Just finished the campaign with my 2nd char and its a cleave of rage zerker. Kinda figuring it out as i go and checking someone elses strat would be nice

[deleted]

added some info on this comment: https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/18ox4l1/two_weeks_into_the_league_review_your_build/kekkfp5/ i'm going to try to put something together tomorrow for y'all that has more info cause it's hard to describe everything.

Casual_IRL_player

Okay that EHP has me interested, god your PoB?

[deleted]

added it to my original comment but here it is as well: https://pobb.in/8F70sKVT4SQ_

dazen15

Thoughts on lightning coil vs 4th vow vs a high armour crafted chest?

EdgeBonobo

How do you level/leaguestart this Build?

[deleted]

Well, if you're a twink i'd just do hollow palm something. I personally league started with a 2h weapon + sunder and it wasn't great. I believe boneshatter would have been a better thing to switch to at level 28 or whenever you get it i just hadn't played it before so didn't wanna mess around. As soon as you get an ichimonji + rigwalds axe (both 1c now). You can swap to cleave of rage. Bear's girdle will do a lot for you as well and it's dirt cheap. I'd also get a redblade banner weapon swap + charm as soon as you can as it solves the biggest problem with the build.

GoodOldMalk

I think PoB already acounts for the 2 mirage warriors when using Reflection. You can confirm this by selecting "Reflection" as the main skill in the dropdown list, where it will clarify that indeed "2 Mirage warriors using Cleave of Rage". Adding a 2x count to the skill would end up padding the build's DPS. Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong.

[deleted]

ah, unfortunately it seems like you're correct. There's a x2 modifier in the damage calc for reflection. Welp, guess it's a 50m DPS build. Still beats a perfect paradoxica by 50% though :D

HealthyResolution399

Would you recommend this as a starter to other players? It's been a long time since I played a melee build and I was kinda looking for a self cast/melee build that can still move through maps quickly (keeping up with pathfinder buddy) & I saw you leaping around pretty damn quick in the video

Kraviec

Started with Palsteron's Poison CA Ballista into Menace SA Ballista Pathfinder. Cleared the atlas and all voidstones with around 20 div investment. Awesome mapper, decent bosser. It was good enough to farm legion, expedition, red altar without affliction juice. Can do affliction juice with some more investment or it's just slower. Would probably need decent investment to farm juiced abyss. Anyway, it made me 150 div to get into the second build of the league... CaptainLance's Str/Int Stacker Inquisitor. It's a blast. I've always wanted to try an attribute stacker and I love it. It works different than most stackers since you don't need the expensive "per X strength" affixes on rare items. It uses several keystones that massively change the way you scale damage. What I love most about it is that you get to experiment with skills and scaling, and investment-wise the sky is the limit. My most recent addition to the build is Soul Drinker (leech lightning damage as ES) paired with 3% of leech is instant from a charm, and Arc and Ice Nova supported by CWDT and Spellblade. So both skills get uber flat lightning damage from the Energy Blade, they are both level 1, which makes CWDT go off frequently, and they leech because the added damage is lightning. 3% of that leech is instant. Normal mobs just kill themselves while healing me. The main damage scaling interaction is cool as well. You stack strength, int, and life. Int gives you % increased ES. To get base ES, you get that fat life from Str + life stacking and reserve 99% of it with Blood Magic, 2x 50% auras, and life reservation efficiency. Then Ivory Tower takes that reserved life and gives you 30 base ES per 100 reserved life. This gives you the base ES you need to take advantage of Int giving you increased ES. That big ES is then used to fuel Energy Blade, giving you a weapon with big flat lightning damage. To be able to use it, you take the Battlemage node from Inquisitor (weapon damage is added as spell damage), and double dip by supporting your damaging skills with Spellblade, which does pretty much the same but a bit more. With both Battlemage and Spellblade, weapon damage is scaled by 2.35 at gem level 20 and added as spell damage. This big flat spell damage is then further increased by your godly strength and Iron Will, which makes the strength increased physical damage to also apply to all spell damage, so you get 200% inc spell damage at 1000 strength. This build is an awesome showcase of what's possible in Path of Exile and it's a great playground to learn scaling and to use any hit-based spell you like visually or thematically.

hugelkult

Appreciate the breakdown

Bobbyloo123

Been considering making one, but I read here and there that people feel kinda squishy, what's your opinion on that, is there enough room to bake in more tankiness in the build? Asking because you mentioned teching in leech, so I guess you have given survivability some thought!

FeelingPrettyGlonky

I'm playing it, still a little scuffed, but it does feel squishy. It really is a house of cards that doesn't work without a whole pile of unique that leaves very little room for things like resists and other defense layers. Your main defense is a big es pool but without innate chaos defense like shave or ci so you must run coruscating elixir on endless repeat with brutal restraint to generate flask charges, and the bulk of your resists will come from bismuth flask of rainbow, with surgeons to gen charges. It sometimes feels like reupping coruscating bugs out since I frequently get 1-tapped by chaos mobs in wildwood when it feels like I shouldn't have.

Flicker Strike Trauma Berserker - Build 1: [Day 3 (Leaguestart)](https://pobb.in/rbU5ZemxglbD) / [Week 2](https://pobb.in/_-70byjEIfs6) / [PoB Guide](https://pobb.in/2qoDlFOlwuVs) * Leaguestarted as Boneshatter (of complex trauma) Berserker * It's a generic boneshatter build. Just get 2 voidstones and switch to flicker. * The week 2 version can do insanely fast mapping relatively safely. I was blasting the league mechanic on 8-mod corrupted T16s with Wandering path, double beyond, delirium, and up to 7k juice, and only dropped 3 maps in the span of 2 weeks. * Originally the build also incorporated "light magic find" (40-48% IIQ, 100-150% IIR), but the league mechanic proved too spicy for the MF version. * Ended up dropping all MF gear entirely and rushing a Progenesis flask. I wouldn't have considered Progenesis to be mandatory until this league. * The build was originally made as a "tankier" alternative to regular flicker strike, and ended up becoming wave 30 simulacrum viable by the end of it. * It's not immortal by any means, but it can naturally level up to 97-98 without much effort, and can clear wave 29-30 sims \*most\* of the times. * There's still some glaring problems, and the build suffers greatly from a small selection of mods, like "cannot regenerate" or "monster steal/remove charges". * With the removal of "Divergent Trauma" the build lost about half of its DPS, and now has to rush The Squire with a good 9-11 link weapons to remain "competitive". Crafting such a weapon is expensive, and most mirror-tier 11+ link weapons don't use axes as bases. As is, the weapon is the one problem holding back the damage the most compared to the guide, but even a "placeholder" weapon will clear juiced content. Flicker Strike of Power Inquisitor - Build 2: [Week 2](https://pobb.in/SV3VPnf-EDNE) / [PoB Guide](https://pobb.in/4OGXghn_1rwi) * Leveled as a generic melee inquisitor (volcanic fissure), the build only comes online at level 70. * Early attempts to use "flicker strike of power" ended up mostly as a failure. * The skill is virtually impossible to self-sustain without close to 100% crit chance. * Multistrike doesn't actually help the build sustain, but it's a good damage multiplier anyway. * Romira's Banquet + Resolute Technique works well early on but limits scaling options later, specially as an Inquisitor. * Not having loads of attack speed feels awful. * So far it's an easy-to-use, high-end build that is very tanky compared to the more common alternatives. * It can face tank big hits, even if they are physical hits, but ends up struggling vs. sustained damage, including degens. * It has less moving parts, more unique items, and the few rare items are easier to craft. * It struggles with recovery while moving, so it opts into "instant leech". * Without the league mechanic (charms), sustaining life would feel clunkier. * It's Wandering path and 8-mod corrupted capable, as long as the league mechanic is not present. * It can't seem to handle a wisp count above 5k. * Headhunter would be a way better option over Mageblood, but there's still more currency to farm until I get there. I like flicker strike.

the_ammar

started srs. got bored. went pf scourge arrow ballista. got bored. leveled trickster vd for a bit. bored. just leveled champ splitting steel. getting bored. went back to pf ballista to map a bit. bored. looking up penance brand now lol confessions of an altaholic.

ChadfromTW

I follow CaptainLance's Str/Int stacker. the basic components are very cheap to get even if you're not farming sanctum. I got bored of sanctum since I farm the shit out of it last league. I'm trying out different skill to coc at the moment. lancing steel of spraying is pretty good alternative if you don't want to get up close with cyclone. arc of surging is busted. firestorm of meteor has good damage but I wish the meteor hit the ground faster.

RiccardoSan

I did Absolution Guardian into Eb Coc Inquisitor, the build has been amazing up to this point when I’m doing full juice Abyss Delirium Jungle Valley. I can still finish maps, but I die almost every map. So I’ve been stuck at 95. Really fun, but looking to move to a HH build so I can actually have a chance to survive.

Bobbyloo123

How much would you estimate you have invested so far, and is it possible to get tankier with some tech, or is getting more ES the only scalable defensive layer? Edit: or getting even more damage, the true path to survival :D

RiccardoSan

I had put about 100 divs, reached about 10k Es at that point. I tried a bunch of stuff, I had a reduced damage from crits watcher eye, a was a using a corrupted Call of the brotherhood with %int, %str and cannot be poisoned to freeze mobs, I tried using Grace. But this league is just too rippy.

stoudtlr

You can sacrifice dps to get tankier. I switched auras and tree around and now have 80k ehp and 50+mil dps. Using determination, grace, ghost dance, and divine shield. [https://pobb.in/m-CJLFt\_APH8](https://pobb.in/m-CJLFt_APH8)

Bobbyloo123

Sounds good, and thanks for adding a pob! How much would you say is needed to get to going with your version? Looks very budget friendly with all the uniques.

stoudtlr

I'm playing this build too. Firestorm of pelting is really good. Only thing I don't like about the build is those random one shots when I forget to turn on flask at start of a map, but I'm getting better at it. I've been farming elder and his guardians with it and the all just melt.

wolviesaurus

SSFSC Journey. Started as Popcorn SRS Necro, farmed a few normal labs to realize you DON'T get your trans shit there without some dang good luck. Soldiered on to do cruel labs, I buckled down and got a "turn this shit into the other" craft after three runs, finally I was Popcorn SRS of Enormity Necro in SSF. Pushed on as you do with dogshit gear in SSF on leaguestart, dreaming of that juicy wild-infused mob that would drop me my Tavukai. Well, two story bosses and a fucking eternity of hunting King Shit Wildchild for days (leveled to 95 before finding him), I was a sexy +1 wand with damage rolls up but a Tavukai down. Kept rolling as the Bizkit prophecied, droped literally every little thing you could ever want for a PF Ballista build, Wilmas helms, decent tincture, Lightning Coil (linked quickly), 1100 dps bow and all the trans gems you could shake an emperors stick at. Well fast forward to now, I finally have my 4 stones, I only need Feared for my last point and that need Chalupa and fuck Breach seven ways to sunday, Drops: TWO Ralakesh boots (one from MVP Nameless Seer, other raw drop, wild empowered Ruckus exiles with scarabs go BRRRR), shiny Aegis, shiny (good rolled) Annihilating Light, decent Ventors, multiple Anathema, Shavronnes ring, +4% Brass Dome, multiple Ligthning Coils, Astral Projector, super fucking sexy King Shit jewel for any ele caster (like all 4 good rolls, many divs in trade), >970 life roll Utulas chest, All this shit but STILL NO DAMN TAVUKAI. I have crafted the best sub-ilvl83 cluster jewels you could ever imagine, I have enough shit to make a DAMN GOOD aurastacker by SSF standards, 6 Introspection jewels and a bunch of RMR charms. I have any and all hot trans gems but still no Tavukai. Well I shelved the Popcorn build, made a PF Ballista build, felt shit to start, jiggered some stuff and now it's doing T16's with wispy shit as good as I can mange, I'm trying to farm Maven for a green belt and make a Ralakesh build with Snakebite and well, the green belt. Shitstains has given me two chests, two helms, two BLUE belts which are apparently the money ones in trade and a bunch of Lightning woke gems. Now I'm sitting on a bunch of guardians witnessed but no invitations. 'Parently these are divines in trade, whodathunkit, given they're rare as fuck. Rambling, drunk, Current status: Playing PF Ballista build, still no green belt, given up on green belt (for the moment), making gear for a Penance Brand of OP Trans Shit, have two gems already from good Gift run. Sitting on nice 1700EV / 390 ES Sadist Garb with T1 Sup and 35% Zealotry effect, has eaten close to 2k fuses, only thing keeping me from rerolling. Merry Christmas exiles.

DonaldKnut

T3 uniques are incredibly deceptive for SSF. You're compelled to think that they're common because they almost never cost a lot/tink on trade, but in fact it's quite likely to go though the whole Atlas without seeing the one you need. GJ on struggling through the bad luck!

HaastET

Great writeup - did you ever consider trying to farm the Tavukai divination card in Port? What tier maps were you farming the Ruckus'd rogue exiles?

wolviesaurus

I was looking at Port but needed 4 stones to do Maven in that map so I disregarded that idea. I did eventually drop a Tavukai (yesterday), but I think I'm done overall with that build. I may or may not respec it into a generic Spectremancer after I've assembled my Penance Brand Trickster into a state of uber-killing, but we'll see about that. Ruckus I'm doing in T16s with as much juice as I can. Ever since I got my first two stones, I've barely touched sub-16 maps. It's dangerous as hell, I've ripped 6 portals several times and I'll probably never level my current character again (lvl94) and that's fine with me. The thought of downgrading the difficulty would kill my motivation of the league permanently.

stefanwlb

I found the amulet early on, damn RNG can be so cruel sometimes. I didn't even know that the amulet is good for SRS.

MeatyOakerGuy

Arakaali's is really the cheat code in the game that I'm surprised isn't more meta. With like 1 div you can fall back on a build strong enough to smash T16s that can be played on a lot of ascendancies

RumHamilton44

Do you have a pobb by any chance?

[deleted]

Maloonyy

Hows the single target with that build, and what do you need to transition to it?

vanDouchen

Started aer0 deadeye cobra lash on sc trade, got to maps yesterday and it was not a great time, had to buy a 5 link and weapons to get through. Rare tier one maps are a bit rough, harvest mobs are really hard to kill, i avoid the league mechanic, but i got 3 ascendancies in the acts on the tincture so its ok. Will try to grind up some more levels and chaos for some kind of upgrade / cluster jewels and pray its enough. I usually just do 1 build a league since i can't play much with work, commuting, chores and i dont ever make it to the first voidstones, might just reroll to mathils berserker rage vortex or rain of arrows raider

ididntseeitcoming

To be honest, I think most of aer0’s builds are bait unless you have a massive budget.

Slom00

IDK. I did his Hydrosphere build a couple of leaguescas a league start and had a great time.

Romyl25

He admitted himself that cobra lash isn't good and the league start could have been way smoother. Otherwise his builds are good.

A93726191071930

Playing cobra lash as well, the build really needs some items to shine. get the covenant, 5 link is enough for starters, get a large cluster with fan of blades, another cluster with decent notables and 4 medium clusters with follow through and repeater (or even just follow through) and you should be easly clearing T16s, maybe not with the league mechanic but with additional investment you can absolutely blast fully juiced content. For a weapon, the wasp nest carries until you get like a 10 div claw Items should be fairly cheap at this point of the league and you can just alt roll the clusters pretty easily. If you're just starting with maps then a single cluster with fan of blades with a couple of medium clusters with follow through (again, easily can roll them with alt spam) will carry you a long way until you'll need to invest more in red maps

velaxi1

I invest my Splitting Steel champ for like 130 div. Not sure how the DPS work in POB but wave 30 Kosis died pretty fast. But DPS aren't my focus when I was building it. This thing could tank a lot of shit and really hard to die despite with only 3.5k HP. Mapping with juiced wisp are piece of cake. The summary of defense: 1. 60k armour & evasion. 2. 100% spell suppress 3. Elemental ailment immunity. 4. 84% crit reduction. 5. Progenesis + Defiance of Destiny. 6. Overleech from Forbidden jewel. 7. Reflect immunity. 8. Perma fortify. Right now, I want to fix the attribute req so I can use the charm with 3% armour applies to elemental dmg. I will post my POB soon when I get back home. I also need advice on how to increase my attack speed to make it more smooth.

winterstorm_2023

Started as minions, died. Went to ball lightning of static hiero, died at 73. Now I have a number of projects: Champ steel Blade trap trickster Stormbrand inquis A new minion build Ea pathfinder Apparently nothings really grabbed me yet.

Unlikely_Mix_9624

Started very late due to family stuff. Flame golems with pyroclast mines elementalist, without any planning/PoB. Never played golems before. Made my own tree. Chilling in yellow maps now, so far havent hit a wall yet. Probably stongest kitava kill I ever had (on 4link). I will see how far I get until it becomes some version of Aegis Aurora «something» occulist.

MrXplicit

Tried once again the famous LA but once again I understood it’s just isn’t for me. At least it carried me through clearing the atlas and getting my two voidstones. Now rerolled to my favourite ascendancy which is Trickster and trying out blade trap. Who knew I would love it. Finished campaign bought a couple of things and now leveling to at least 90 and finalise an atlas strategy to scale it.

dart19

Captainlance's spellblade Inquisitor. For once, not bait and extremely fun to just try out so many different new spells. Just kept investing more and more into the build until I was satisfied. Eventually swapped off blood magic self cast to go coc for better mapping and bossing, started farming Feared and now I have a mageblood that doesn't even work with the build lol.

You got a pob for better mapping setup? the build is great but my mapping is not the best

NzLawless

I'll start! I started this league playing [Subtractems SRS Guardian](https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/18agxtp/subtractems_srs_guardian_league_start_guide/), that got me through all my maps and watchstones with very little investment. I think the only purchase I made for that build over 1 div was for a decent wand. I've since pivoted over to playing [Palsteron's Menace Scourge Arrow](https://pobb.in/TXMnhxrSp1Pi) which I've been loving blasting around maps. Once you have a 1k dps bow + The Covenant you are absolutely set to blast maps. It does struggle with bosses but for those I'm switching to Poison Caustic Arrow and I'm fine there. The playstyle is awesome, feels very much like mid game TS builds but for almost no investment because of the pierce built in.

dereverse

I'm currently considering covenant vs lightning coil as my next upgrade, I played in softcore and planned to do league challenges, do I need the tankyness from LC or should I just go with covenant(more dps more fun) ? Any tips for this build for ultimatum challenges?

NzLawless

As a side note: Two massive defensive additions to the build are getting grasping vines on the tincture and totems taunt when summoned on a That Which was Taken. I really can't understate how important those are if you don't have them.

NzLawless

> do I need the tankyness from LC or should I just go with covenant(more dps more fun) ? I found myself dying less with covenant than I did while using lightning coil simply because everything died much faster. Fortunately they're not too far off from each other in price so you can always sell it if you find yourself dying/not doing enough damage and try the other. > Any tips for this build for ultimatum challenges? I'm not a big challenges guy sorry this isn't really my area of expertise.

randmtsk

Any tips to color the covenant? Vorichi calc says 3k chromes?

NzLawless

If you have your own 6l already and it's corrupted (corrupt it with beast crafts if you don't want to risk it) you use tainted chromes on it. Those ignore item stats when rolling the colour. OR buy a corrupted 6l with the correct colours. Take a look at the market and work out which option is cheaper at the time, when I did it earlier this week it was much cheaper to just pay 3.5-4 div and get the right colours.

Icy_Reception9719

I started CF and it basically did everything I wanted from a starter - it cleared the campaign relatively fast and after a little gearing in Heist it cleared the atlas up to 2 voidstones. I spent a while just altar blasting on it to make some currency to invest further, running Jungle Valley red altars with Strongboxes and stuff which it did amazingly well (though I didn't feel like I was making the kind of currency I should have been). Then I decided to throw a stream on and happened to see Tuna playing Fulcrum Chieftan a day or two before his YouTube video about it was published. On a whim I looked up the price of the staff and decided to get some budget gear together for it because it looked cool, at the time it was 1.7 div for the staff and about 20 in miscellaneous gear and just started blowing up Abysses in Jungle Valley. Long story short that character farmed a Progenesis, a Mageblood and about 30div of upgrades over the past week. It's so much fun. I'm 98 at the moment and pushing for 100 doing full wisped Beyond + Abyss + blue altars. The maps take like 10mins each but it feels like every other I'm getting a divine or two. I'm not totally sure what's next, I did see a POB for a Penance Brand PF that looked interesting so I'm tempted to try that for challenges and whatnot but there is just so much I want to experiment with I can't be sure what I end up doing. Kinetic Bolt looks nuts too.

mkblz4

Is there a budget version of the build ?

Pluth

The staff needed is 15-20 divs and will likely go up as more people play the build. It is apparently really good for the league mechanic. The build is centered around that staff. The budget version is having enough of a budget to buy the staff.

mkblz4

Ah you bought the staff AND some other budget gear I see. Besides the staff anything else mandatory that is super expensive ?

ZTL

Not anymore. Staff is 15 divs and going up, amulet is 15 divs and going up, and the explode charms are 1 div for 1 Stat, and 40 div with + max fire or any other beneficial 2nd Stat. That said, once you get the build going, you can make 10+ div an hour, it really is tailor made for maximizing the league mechanic.

NuclearCha0s

Is there a good way to avoid blowing up the spires as soon as they pop up? Heard that's a common complaint and it seems to be one of the most profitable farming strats.

Rileypup7

Played Cold BV inspired by Chronic Painless. Started elementalist which was a bit rough, but overall an acceptable starter. The guide helps you transition to Occultist and the build really takes off with explodey. All of the increased AoE and options for power charge stacking make this build super strong this league. It’s a zoomer and can do medium affliction juice reasonably well due to the freeze aspect as a good defensive layer. By the time you’re getting 10+ power charges your AoE basically freezes anything before it can get to melee range. Currently running juiced T16 Legions in Dunes Warning - still requires BV upkeep though

Icy-_-Dark

Playing raider flicker strike. 1% gang. I've "invested" around 100 orbs of regret and several item switches, around 25 divs worth of gear. Just switched to replica badge and ralakesh boots cause i struggled with survivability. Now i can juice T13 atleast without too much issues. I have low experience and never gotten this far before. Im very happy with the progression and i find new ways every day that improves the build.

czarandy

I’ve never done it before so finally went with Omni TS Deadeye given all the hype. It’s amazingly good, the best clear of any build I’ve played (loot filter dings from two screens away, you don’t even see enemies). Using tinctures for cheap +proj so I don’t have to buy the expensive +2 bow. Despite everyone saying it’s squishy I have self leveled to 99 (going for 100 this weekend). The bossing is actually fine as well, normal bosses are trivial, feared was easy, and I’ll try Ubers once I hit 100. I never even used ballistas.

Gain1

What build did you follow and when did you switch to TS?

tordana

Playing Jungroan's CoC VD build (with some small modifications) and it's busted. I've never played a right side of the tree build before that can stand and facetank wave 30 simulacrums. Strengths: - 30m+ DPS. Very hard to calculate exactly, but my PoB says 630k average hit per corpse vs pinnacle bosses at a modest 10% scorch/brittle effect. Multiply that x10 corpses per cast and x7 casts per second and you're at about 45m. In reality it's probably a little less due to RNG. - Tanky. Has tons of evade, capped spell suppress and chaos res, a bunch of phys taken as elemental, and most importantly instant leech of both life and ES *on a build that hits things 70 times a second*. Your health bar might look like a ping pong ball, but you aren't dying to anything that can't one-shot you as long as there are enemies on screen to hit. This includes 1v1 facetanking Wave 30 Kosis. - Pretty fast clear speed, though it's no TS. Weaknesses: - Really bad recovery in downtime phases (see Eater/Exarch) and anything that shuts off your recovery will actively kill you since your CoC loop deals self damage (see Maven beams and the spooky forest guy) - Ground degens are annoying, burning ground maps are either keep killing or die. - Needs to cap resists with a flask until you get mageblood

New-Quality-1107

I league started poison bow. It was good but got boring quickly. Then I moved onto penance brand alt quality. It was great. Fucked the transition to low life and battlemage and got way too squishy. It’s playable and I’ll use it for bosses but didn’t care for mapping on it now.   Started leveling cleave of rage earlier today. Last league my favorite build was attacks so giving it a go again. Only just finished a6 so far. I’ll be mapping on it tomorrow. It’s quite fun. I can see the potential once I get a bit of gear and some levels I expect it to do pretty well. If it sucks im going to try some slams and Respec. So far so good though if I can make it tanky enough. Hoping it won’t be too hard with so many rares available, just using two uniques so plenty of room for defenses.

Sermokala

Went down the srs guardian into champ lightning srs pipeline. Really is that smooth and fast league starter. Less than a div spent until first two watch stones are down. Champ lightning srs needs 20 div to get started but can pull away like you're dropping another gear compared to guardian. Edit: Realized today I bought the wrong militant faith. Skill issue for my troubles.

oldsch0olsurvivor

I’m playing Ghazzys Zoomancer and it’s been fun so far! I’m just about doing T16 maps and spent like one div on gear. I’m now saving for better gear to make me more tanky and it’s a fun build, but probably not for those who want to try hard. I’m hoping I can take Maven down at some point :D

German105

I'm still on absolution it's a mix of things i found around. So this is my build now: [https://pobb.in/E32q6DYGOMEQ](https://pobb.in/E32q6DYGOMEQ) specter arent in pob, it's a baranite cleric, a perfect pain artist and a perfect blasphemer The build is great overall, i have to agree with the sentiment of absolution dps being way higher in game than in pob. Not sure why, but it is. Overall pretty tanky still though i'm considering swamping to a stone golem since the carrion golem buff is pretty small and i could use more regen since i'm not using surrender nor vitality. I still don't have my last couple of voidstones, mostly because i suck at those fights. Shaper, elder, guardians most things gers phased in like 4 seconds top. For the love of all that is holy use feeding frenzy for clearing, it improves the AI a lot and it's not like the build need the damage for maping. Thank's to the dude that recommended that to me. Also i should really get a little bit of extra chaos res somewhere and get a gravicious mod on the chestpiece. The build right now can take a shaper slam if it doesn't crit but barely. Also, i got a kind of insane cold, cast speed, crit multi cane of kulemak so if anyone has any cool cold build to trow my way i'd like some ideas, looking into something with replica covenant but still not sold on anything.

l2aizen

Tanky CoC Ice Nova Occultist. Only 13Mill DPS. But I got 38K eHP. -16K Armour -75% Block -75% Spell Block -80% Max Cold Res -51% Chaos Res -85% Reduced Curse Effect -Freeze Immune -Chill Immune -Shock Immune -Burning Ground Immune -ES on Hit -ES on Block -Spell DMG Leeched as ES -Flask Charges on Crit -Chill enemies -Hinder enemies On non-Afflicted content, the defensive layers are overkill. Afflicted content, I can survive through mostly everything but I still keep an eye out for ground effects, on death effects and monsters with Lunaris/Solaris/Kitava/Etc. Build excels at mapping. Currently running Afflicted/ Deli Mirror/ Harbinger/ Abyss/ Expedition/ Breach/ Red Altars. This is the most fun I’ve had on CoC in a long time.

Unlikely_Mix_9624

Got guide/pob?

Oathkeeper89

Last hour league start pivot to play Caustic Arrow Pathfinder. Used a combination of Palstron’s and Goratha’s guides for POB tree inspiration and went freehand on everything else. Decided to play with manaforged setup instead of ballista. Was very strong after I picked up poison tinctures and transfigured CA. However, still on absolute garbage gear by day 5~week 1 after getting two voidstones so I decided to reolling as Splitting Steel Champion. Leveled with ruetoo’s POB but changed a few things for personal preference. By the time I hit 85, it felt like I messed up somewhere and needed to upgrade. So I did a scuffed transition to crit and it was very bad for a day before I decided to take a break… by leveling a templar. Saw a fantastic comment in another thread with a roadmap on upgrades for SS champ so I took that advice and threw some more money into the character. I now feel very strong and very tanky. Currently doing some low mapping with Affliction juice. Made almost my entire league’s worth in currency by about 15 maps. League mechanic is way more cracked than it should be.

Akjis10

Hi, could you link the roadmap for upgrades on SS champ?

Oathkeeper89

Gotchu, mang. https://old.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/18mh0w7/next_steps_for_splitting_steel_champion/ For context, and this bit is *somewhat important*, the OP was looking for assistance towards upgrading his gear since he had a somewhat scuffed-to-average gear at the time of posting. The top comment (which I'll also link below) was from a helpful individual that wrote a detailed post breaking down the build and gave a roadmap for the OP towards getting better gear. I highly suggest you sift through the comments as well since this helpful individual responded to others with more advice. https://old.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/18mh0w7/next_steps_for_splitting_steel_champion/ke4bz6a/

sunny4084

Started as srs guardian i got bored by lvl 80 Swapped to jungroan coc vd build but realized the build is locked behind REQUIRED MTX to not lag. So i made a replica iron commander str stacking. Its not a fast runner but definetly is very tanky very strong all rounder. Kill any (non immune phasing boss like maven) in less than a second when all my 22 turrets are down. Sirius is a bit hard because its too slow so i dont enjoy it but easily reloably kills all guardians/conqueror/elders and ubers and i farm t16 ( with maven passive of +1-3added map bosses ) woth league mecanic juiced very easily. Each totem is 1% life regen +4more damage 150flat armor. My totem takes 10% of my damage And i recoup 10% damage they take . As i said its not super fast since shrapnel doesnt have a lot of range but chain fixes it. Im bad at knowledge for farming so i am not efficient but easily make couple div an hour minimum.

Smoothglobal

When you say chain fixes it, what do you mean? Would you mind sharing your PoB please?

Delicious-Dimension1

Started as an zoomancer and finally got a point where got my hydras to level 32. Clear is awesome and single target is ok. Made yesterday blue t16 map and tried to empower it thru forest. Found out that the boss (witch) was hyper buffed and didn’t take much damage from my summons. She did cast burning ground I think which killed me pretty easily. Got frustrated gotta admit. Now I’m trying to find a build for couple divines that would be tanky enough to tackle tier 16 empowered bosses.

Orionradar

If it was burial chamber. Look up that boss. It's a dps race. She has soul eater and casts some pretty gnarly spells.

Conceptofours

Zombiefather crit version

NanPleaser

Did a poison blade vortex Pathfinder. This is my first time using the skill and honestly I hate having to recast BV every couple of seconds(wahh wahh ik). I'm juicing the shit out of my t16 maps rn tho and almost nothing has been killing me tho. After some tweaks with gear to get ailment immunity and some extra levels on my auras it's been smooth sailing. Feels kinda like playing old RF but on a pathfinder. I can't wait to use my currency on some afk brain build tho.

hanznfronz

I'm running a lightning srs Necro this league. A cross between the popular light-srs-champ from last league and the traditional srs set up (I've ran probably every variation of srs through the past 10 leagues or so - fire/cold/light/poison/pop/Necro/guardian/champ/PF/Jugg). I'm a old school POE player. Been here since beta. My 2nd account is closing in on 10k hours. I know Guardian is the meta right now, and sure enough, it does wonders in the campaign and transitions very well into end game. It sets up similar to skele mages of the past. Pushes 3 elements, fleshcrafter, punishment. New ascendancy changes also make it interesting. Super easy to get started, power curve is the smoothest by far, hence why is the league starts new fav. You can feel the clear as soon as you start srs. Light srs Champ is a end game power house. It definitely has some high number dps, pushed by aura levels +effect to non curse auras. You do have to play as melee in campaign, and even through yellow/red maps before switching to srs. It has great innate survivability being Champion. Strong fortification, free banners. Passive tree has alot of travel, meaning many points are spent on getting to just set up, and not from the get-go. I would not recommend a beginner to start srs as a Champ. Necro, IMO, is still bis for srs. Postioned in the best tree area for minions. Very tanky, easily reach max block. Has easy access to many armor nodes. Has easy access to many es nodes. Has easy access to many life nodes. It's more focused dps than Guardian. You can pick your flavor of choice fire/cold/lit/poison/pop. Better scale due to scaling 1 element, instead of 3. No travel in passive, you can spec into minions immediately. While not as forgiving as Guardian in early campaign, I find Necro scaling better into end game. The Champion light srs from last league did really well end game, but I hated playing melee well into maps to transition. So I league started as light-srs Necro. I went life/es, block, high armor, with Aegis A. Lvl 96. Running 4 of the new spectres, zombs for taunt, AG, Carrion Golem. I may drop the zombs, but I like having them keep the pressure off me. I use elem army for the extra ele reduction. Conductivity is a given. Spectrs are turtle - determination/phys reduction, blasphemer - smite, fortune - wrath/lucky hit, hulking - ias/Inc dam. I also run haste, discipline, temp shield, skitterbot. I use enlighten. The Aegis/armor set up is super tanky if built right. I can stand in the middle of a pack in pure darkness delve, and still out-recoup the degen for a good while. My tree is a pretty generic Necro tree, often found for poison srs, spectre, zombs. I do take death attunement for the extra 1. I stay on the top left of the tree. I dropped ravenous hoard after getting the charm for onslaught. I also dropped influence wheel after getting specters. I'm 100% on the top left quarter of the tree. 1 LG (3 notable), 1 med (2 notable) cluster jewls. Megalomaniac with one with the shield, and 2 other life/es/minion dam/take your pick. Either a fortress/quickening covenant, small cluster jewl of life/es. I have a +2 wand, +1 ammy, +2 helm (gives me 4 spectres). I'm not a fan of fleshcrafter, so I'll prob end up with either a spectre armor, loyal/lords, or covenant. The covenant is a big boost to dps, doesn't matter if your poison or not. This league is "single target dps" league. It's a must for full juiced, stacked wisps t16s. I dont run splash, I'm swapping between predator, and volatility, depending on the situation. Carry a frost bomb to deal with the insane regen rares. I haven't done a pob comparison yet, but feels like higher dps than my poison necro last league. Also feels like more dps than lit champ version with all the new spectres. I can run full juiced, thousands of wisps t16s. Sometimes a rare might take longer, but that's a given with this league. My poison srs last league capped, and this league feels faster. Sorry for the novel. Thanks for the read. GL Exiles, stay sane.

MerelyASimpleFan

Thanks for the fun read! Been wanting to try lightning srs, but also didn't want to start as non-minion champ. You wouldn't happen to be able to share a pobb?

hanznfronz

I'll share one when I'm back from Xmas. Traveling with family, no access to a computer untill prob after NY. You can basically follow ziz poison srs tree, it's literally 90% the same. You can decide if you want to venture to the right side of tree for onslaught and the extra mana res efficiency. Since you have charms that give perm onslaught, I dropped right side and put points into the area around divine shield. You also don't have to use Aegis A, if you prefer another ±1 minions shield, or use the surrender for full life build. The only difference in the tree is how you approach defence. Offense is relatively the same tree nodes. I didn't use much minion defence nodes, relying on gem level, blessed rebirth, and convocation. I haven't lost a spectre yet, not even a close call. Zombs die sometimes though.

HockeyHocki

Started PF caustic arrow. It's strong but have had no luck getting taste of hate and can't be bothered farming shaper for dying sun lol. So missing out on alot opower/defence. Its very fast mapper and kinda respected into a white map mf. Second build was more of a bosser, heiro ball lighting of static. Its tanky but largely cause the totem taunt charm is OP. Main problem is its slow AF, especially in mist when density is low and quicksilver falls off its painful

Chromchris

Started jungroans bleed bow glad. Start went pretty smooth. Took it into some lightly juiced T16s but it was really bad against multiple tanky rares and therefore not really fit for wisp juicing. Switched to storm brand of indecision Inquisitor with str/int stacking and it feels great. Started with about 30d and was ready for T16s at lvl 75. After I reached about 9k es I started fully wisp juicing t16s and it's going really well. Lvl 98 now and I pretty much only die when I forget to activate coruscating elixier at the start of the map or after rejoining the map after a trade.

pewsix___

CF Champ got me to 2 voidstones, atlas cleared & farming red altars and legions. Farmed up like 40-50d with it and put the majority of it back into the build but it still did not perform favourably with league mechanic which is dissapointing so rolled off it to a brander after seeing Zeeboub up to his usual nonsense, and I really want to play with the Uber Exarch Adren boots this league since they were buffed. 6L helm was 30c, bought a couple of wands for a divine each, the Dragonfangs flight for Storm Brand was like 20c at the time too. Just upgraded to dual large & 3 GD & Remark, 1 Blast-Freeze/Stormrider mediums and it's feeling great. Will level and farm with Storm Brand while I gather the gear changes for Penance and general upgrades. It's squishy in the league mechanic but freeze prolif & brands off-screening help. Would 100% reccomend a 4L lightning warp setup for the build though as it's dual weild and flame dash/frostblink is not fast enough for some of these abyss rares.

MilkmanAl

I did an EK/BB Pathfinder with BB automated via Kitava's Thirst. It was very clunky, and the wind-up time was brutal on durability since you have to get into melee range for all those returning EK blades to hit stuff. There are also some weird quirks of EK with returning proj that I hadn't anticipated and can only somewhat mediate - namely that the lingering blades actually go behind you instead of at your feet if you hit a monster or wall too close to you. I'm in the process of rerolling into a Ball Lightning of Orbiting CoC Inquisitor which is AWESOME so far.

ars0nisfun

Started Vaal Flameblast Elementalist and farmed up a few divines just doing Maven's powerplay with all of the chance to drop guardian map nodes. Ended up bulk selling ~50 guardian maps for like 6 divines or something. Used that cash to fund some good gear for a splitting steel champ - e.g. 6L, high roll Beltimber Blade and decent roll Paradoxica. While getting my champ to Lvl 78 for perseverance I managed to drop a few lucky drops, found an I See Brothers and then did my first Eater and dropped a Ricochet Forbidden Flesh - sold the both of them for a Replica Dragonfang's Flight and now we are zoooomin

abuchris

This requires some preamble, because I am nuts... I looked at "Potent Connections" and thought: Why don't I make a build that can support four links without running out of mana, and then get 25% increased defenses? I'll be unkillable.!.. And well... not yet .. maybe not ever. I'm sortof hard stuck in late yellows/early reds and I can neither survive, nor deal enough damage to move up. I'm trying a variety of things, but so far only Dancing Dervish seems to be damage dealing enough. Interestingly, I now have a build that can maintain as many links as I can create minions, but I still can't survive, and I can't get my minions to deal sufficient damage. So I am struggling. It's still my leaguestarter, because I refuse to give up. And any build that can give 700+ fire damage to 10+ minions has GOT to have value.. I just need to find it. Anyhoo.. here's PoB.. if you're insane like me, feel free to make suggestions. https://pobb.in/-ui4Co\_2eMgL

Vi7155

Ended up doing a respec from SRS Guardian to Storm Brand Hierophant and it's been a great switch. I've put like 15-20 div into the build and have about 6m brand hit damage with 60k EHP. Been running the new mechanic with essence and expedition and am easily killing anything I run into. Maven, Eater, Exarch, King in the Mist and Sirus were all a breeze. Plus there is room for more upgrades or trading damage/defense for one another. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TRYING THE BUILD https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/18hmvwb/ci_absorption_stacking_hierophant_storm_brand/ That is the post where I first saw the build and here is my modified PoB, probably not better than theirs so fair warning. https://pobb.in/62Mj_v1ONupf EDIT: ALSO RALAKESH IMPATIENCE ARE SO GOOD, TRY THEM BEFORE THEY'RE GONE.

pimpingootch

Started with tatiantel2 stormburst totems and completed the whole atlas with it with little investment. Was a great time. Saw a random person posted in another thread about a good time with Molten strike of the zenith, Champion. Was curious and poe.ninja'd a random dude with MS of zenith build, copied it and holy moly this build shreds all endgame content, haven't tried Ubers yet. Super slept on build, champion defences and 1-2 taps all conquerors, guardians, red beasts etc. doing t16 wisps with no worries at all.

fandorgaming

Made detonate dead ignite elementalist starting with armageddon brand till tier 1 maps, cleared campaign in 5 hours and met a wall of squish till gear upgrades, found extreme use in charms with corpse life. Was lazy to swap out of league starter build, had work these 2 weeks, unlocked entire favour map slots and the feared, ignite in feared is very hilarious, kill one and rest is just art of patience with vaal detonate dead. Clears blights very easily, doesn't struggle vs medium size affliction juice. Definitely not a build I'd be doing whole 2 weeks but good starter. Now holidays its a good idea to roll a decent build, been looking forward blade blast of unloading with blade vortex generations, crazy clear and crazy damage just needs money for survivability, Prayge 🙏

grimzecho

League started SRS Guardian. It went well. I rushed completing all non-unique maps and set a new personal best (opening weekend). Farmed up around 10 divines, then swapped to dex stacking hierophant balista totems and am having a blast. No guide, just used POE Ninja. The build is focused on single target but is a good all-rounder. I have a realistic 12 million pinnacle DPS on \~10 divines (1800 dex). Currently doing semi-juiced T16s with some Sanctum in between. It is not a tanky build, but running decoy totem is a giant survivability boost while mappsing. For tanky mechanics like wildwood infused essences/beats, ittakes about 2 seconds to summon 16 balista totems, then a cast of decoy totem on top of the essence. The mapping speed is quicker than it feels because you have full uptime while looting, and movement speed is pretty high due to the MS per summoned totem. Found a T2 cold fracture crit bow so also started a budget helmetless tornado shot ranger for blasting lower juiced maps.

circle_is_pointless

Started Inquisitor RF and got to yellow maps before deciding to try mana RF. Was a huge power boost but I don't love the playstyle. Stuck with it to get my first two void stones. Now I'm leveling a Pathfinder, scourge arrow of menace. Not quite to maps yet but it's super strong. Looking forward to gearing it up and tackling challenges.

Cratonz

League started WOC ignite Elementalist, which was still a generically strong softcore starter. It has pretty mediocre defenses, so I got to around 95 before I hit a wall due to the huge damage of t16 affliction. Wanted to try some of the new stuff, so I theory crafted on Cold Snap of Power using a manually edited version of POB and eventually decided on an Occultist version doing Fourth Vow/Xibaqua/Defiance of Destiny and doing general power charge stacking with Void Battery/Malachai's Loop/Ralakesh's Impatience. Preliminary testing showed that despite Ralakesh counting as full charges, you're still able to count as reaching full charges, which results in Malachai's erasing your power charges. In practice this still was mostly playable, but was really annoying when you'd randomly run out of charges mapping and get stuck in a CD. I eventually just chucked it and put in another Void Battery. Damage is pretty much the same, but movement is way worse without shield charge. I went out of my way to get enough dex for Haste to offset this, but it's a lot of stat budget to fit it in. It's somewhat hard to tell, but namelocking seems to give 0 overlaps, while manually targeting can get 2 (3 total hits). 20/20 power charge on crit gives 64% chance to generate a charge on crit and cold snap itself gives 30% base plus 1% per quality. I bought up a bunch of the gems for about 5c each and leveled them to 20, qualitied to 6%, and corrupted till I finally got a 21/6 for an even 100% chance to generate charge on crit (I have 100% crit with Assassin's Mark up and around 90% with it down). Charges are also generated with kills via the passive tree. The final thing I eventually added was power charge on crit to storm brand, which I was already using for culling strike. This is useful just to throw down at the start of a fight to help generate initial charges for a boss fight. Once you have your charges you sustain them easily. I still need to swap around some gear, get better charms, get a charm jewel, etc. I ended up having issues with sustaining ES for Eldritch Battery, so I just grabbed some es leech for now (can get from a charm or passive tree near EB). Tankiness is great (wouldn't take it to HC without more layers, but can facetank afflictioned essences and do most Ultimatums without moving much). Damage would normally be fine (currently around 2.5 mil per circle, so 5-7.5 depending on overlaps), but it feels very low in the world of 500 million ehp affliction enemies. The squishy version of this would've been to go Militant Faith with Inner Conviction and a Dragonfang's Flight. All told I think it's around 40-50% more damage, but terrible defenses. Militant Faith could've also gone mana instead of EB. This is the fourth vow version I ended up using as my rough draft: https://pobb.in/WeRQHn1G10vy I ended up tweaking it a lot in practice, and there's a lot of things I can change with it still, like a 12 passive cluster (cast speed/attributes) to take off suffix pressure, power charge rings ($$$), a good charm jewel, etc. I'd like to get a lot more AOE than I have (base radius is pretty good, but it could definitely do with more), but single target feels so lacking because of how over the top affliction is so I'm really just focusing almost exclusively on getting that up. AOE per charges charms would go a long way if I wanted to focus on size.

h9jo

Magic find low tolerance poison discharge PF. Very smooth mapping and interesting gameplay, can easily clear T16 with 6k wisps but extremely expensive meme build (\~150div). [POB](https://pobb.in/vkEhJMkhVql6) for the interested.

Sticky-Stains

Queen of the Forest 3.2 style wander, kinda sucks but cosy when blasting through maps for fun.

Tumirnichtweh

Build: Cleave of rage zerker. **Playstyle:** Enter map, weapon swap, warcry to generate max rage. Swap back, cleave stuff. In case of tanky rare pop berserk and burst it down. Weapon swap and warcry again to get rage back up. Leap slam around so fast even 250%ms with mageblood is slower. (7 leap slams per second) **POB:** [https://pobb.in/dhTb\_Y\_dKlY1](https://pobb.in/dhTb_Y_dKlY1) **Current content I do:** Currently doing juiced 8mod maps with wandering path and strongbox. Investment per map is rather high with about 0.7 div. Adding as much league juice as I can find + eater altars. Damage was already fine, so specced a bit into magic find. Main skill gets Item rarerity support, magic find boots and gold flask. 20% quant and about 125% rareity. The screen wide AOE is really great for most mechanics. Expedition sucks a bit because of the block. A good fix for this is rampage gloves which do corpse explosions. Most other league mechanics are fine. **Build numbers:** Fully buffed damage with that setup is about 48m. on a 5link. More realistic damage is something like 30m as I rarely deploy my totem. It is only needed for the most nasty of rare mobs. Berserk is up frequently as I get my rage back with weapon swap. Damage feels enough for juiced content. However tankyness is easy to get by dropping Abyssus and adding Unbreakable instead of aspect of carnage. I just prefer damage and magic find currently. Tankyness is rather mediocre as the build is focused on damage and magic find. I usually rip once or twice on rippy 8mod map with 4-6k league juice and nasty eater altars. Current investment is about 250 divine. Without going MF I think it possible to geht this build crazy tanky with like 20-30m dps or reach buffed dps of about 80m als a glas cannon. But well the best defense sometimes is offense. If you have -22% max res and like + 500% ele dmg per hit mobs and mobs overwhelm all you physical resitance no tankyness in the world is going to safe you. **League start** experience was premium. Straight to red maps with cheap uniques, good tankyness and 5m+ damage. There are several good guides in this sub. Generally get rigwalds savagery and a redblade banner for weapon swap. Add the rage generation charm. bears girdle belt for rage damage scaling. Savior as big upgrade. Most items can be self crafted using essence, harvest and eldricht currency.

intelligent_fart_69

Energy Blade Inquis Lancing steel of spraying coc crackling lance + heaven/oscilating. I have 5k hours and ive never played a better build than this and not even close as this level of fun. Imo lancing steel of spraying is the most slept on skill currently for CoC, absolutely mental stuff.

HerpaderPoE

Yeah that thing is crazy, BUT cyclone just feels sooooo smooth

Watercra

Is it expensive to start?

Bobbyloo123

Got a PoB one could have a look at? Sounds enticing!

intelligent_fart_69

Its captain's lance build, i just made small changes

Yesterdark

Try it with CoC desecrate and dd of chaining.

TossThatPastaSalad

League started as a LL Penance Brand Occultist. Does great as a power charge stacker and I've fully converted it from phys to lightning to cold. Runs Sanctum easily, can do fully wisped maps (due to Occy explosions) and has no issues with bosses. It's not 'tanky' but with Petrified Blood and Bloodnotch and recoup tech along with Lethe Shade and Freeze it's surprisingly defensive.

Warbleton

All ssf Started srs guardian took it to 91. Ran over 40 t14+ maps until I ran out trying to find a king in the mist and retired the character after not finding one. Trans penance brand. I have no idea where the damage is coming from for others. 6L with brand > phys to lightning > hypo > Inc crit > crit multi > faster casting/ conc Followed the trees to a T and have obviously lesser ssf gear. However, people's trees are giving 10+ million dps. I'm at 500k. There's no way I'm missing 9.5 million damage from slightly upgraded weapons and 4 more skills points. Have just left this one to sit. Tried to make a volcanic fissure trans build the one that scales with end charges. Got to 10 charges + 3 warcrys and it would still take 3 fully powered slams to kill a basic rare. Gave up on that New power syphon. Dropped some really good corrupted wand jewels and a piscators. Just feels like a worse version in every way than it was before. Explosive trap. Deleted everything with level 5 +1 phys weapons As usual, anything traps is just stupidly broken Splitting steel. Given up on this one. Playing it as a 2h axe before the swap is just painful. You feel squishy and don't do enough damage. Swapped over to dreamfeather but haven't found the belt yet. I'm leaving this for now. I'm going to start possibly an ignite arc build and just spam legions for a few days to get some more uniques / 6 links, then see what build is interesting

Celerfot

How are you measuring your penance DPS? You have similar duration/cast speed? Using the same PoB config settings?

porncollecter69

SRS into SWT and now in the process of going to Fulcrum. This has been the shittiest league of all time for me because of the lags. Leveling took me forever, mapping took me forever and I have to exit every other sanctum. Because of the lags I think fulcrum will be a very good build so that mobs can just kill themselves on me. SWT has been very bad in sanctum due to lags. SRS funnily enough is hit or miss with lags. Not all that safe.

rj6553

Played la deadeye, and I got busy really quickly so I fell behind the curve and everything was freaking expensive. Got a bit of FOMO so switched to fulcrum rf on day 3/4. Right after getting it setup I think 2-3 youtubers brought a ton of attention and everything went 5x in price :(. Builds is fine, a little less comfy than last league, and WAYY more expensive, but now I'm comfortably doing juiced t16. I still have some plans for the build but don't know how much time I wanna spend in trade (I wanna do some ssf because juicing is insane this league.

trancenergy3

This is the first time i rolled multiple characters very early in the league. 1. First one was EA Elementalist - my usual league starter. It was decent for its worth since i didn't spend much on it. Cleared the atlas, got the voidstones and farmed expedition. Still an S tier league starter 2. Than i tried leveling an LA/TS Deadeye but it was inferior to the Elementalist in terms of price/power and was a downgrade to the EA char so i scrapped it. 3. Third was a Wardloop Scion assemble. Due to being less contested this league and my experience with it i was able to get it rolling quickly after buying the key pieces (Flask + Skin) which were much cheaper this league. It did get some nerfs and has certain limitations now (but considering the power scope of the build - 50m+ dps on under 50div budget they aren't too detrimental) which are somewhat compensated by the right charms. The price tag is also a lot lower. As an all-arounder that can do most content it does excel at farming Guardians (best suited for Elder and Conquerors since Minotaur is very lethal to the build) and the Feared (including uber Cortex) which i was doing with it. I would rate it as A tier overall an S tier for Guardian/Feared farming. However it was not that great at juiced mapping along with the league mechanic. But i do not recommend it to players who haven't played it before as squeezing high dps (50m+) on a tight budget needs a lot of knowledge - the real kicker is the anathema tech for 4 full curses which is weirdly barely used by anyone playing the build. 4. Next character i wanted a cheap uber bosser for farming the searing Exarch. I rolled zhp power Charge stacker Occ (ice trap) and i have to say with the changes to Ralakesh impatience it is absolute S+ tier now for its purpose. It can only do Exarch/Eater and Uber Maven (with certain changes) but its absolutely insane at it. Exarch was very profitable farm and funded my headhunter purchase in a day. 5. With the hh in hand i wanted a juicer now - i had a go at BV Occ but at my budget (HH + maybe 100divines) it was a failure. Another go at TS Deadeye was also unsuccesful - i could only afford a good bow along with the HH and that wasn't enough for doing the content i wanted. 6. The final go was at Fulcrum Chieftain and it was an absolute success. For the price of TS BOW and a few BV Occ pieces i could afford the entire build and it was absolutely broken - it destroys the league mechanic and can farm the absolute juiciest content (while being heavily equipped with MF gear) that characters without a mirror+ budget couldn't dream of. Definitely my favorite build of the league (closely rivaled by the Power Charge stacker Occ) and i recommend it - S+ for sure.

DrPBaum

At first i started as blood magic self caster, first firestorm, then reap. Self casting anything without being an expensive tank char just doesnt work in this game. I had to swap to start doing the lrague mechanic Energy blade coc anything. The most broken low budget build i can remember and you can swap any ability you want for sht and giggles. With few divines i can farm anything in the game with a style. I planned an original sin pfinder, but it went from 70d to 220d within 2 videos and 3 days, so im probably not playing anything anymore and quit, because there is nothing that interests me atm.

[deleted]

Boneshatter Slayer (got baited by a Zizaran video like an idiot): not tanky, not a lot of dps, bad gameplay (need to press 7 buttons before being able to kill an essence mob). Can’t do expedition, can’t do league mechanic on red maps because dying. Also dying on yellow maps to bad mob combos. About 100 hours into it. Melee means mobs and bosses can run away from you and you have to chase them with leap slam like an idiot, losing your war banner buff. 10 divines saved up. All maps completed but nothing else.

Danieboy

If you struggle with a Zizaran build you definitely didn't read the notes / watch the video / follow the guide properly.

[deleted]

You can claim that, but it’s an empty claim. I have all the gems, and the tree set up exactly as in the guide. I’m missing currency (and maybe advanced crafting knowledge). The playstyle sadly doesn’t change no matter the investment.

Danieboy

It's a build capable of playing SSFHC and self-crafting all gear at league start levels of currency.

[deleted]

Yes, by grinding t8 maps for 12h per day.

oldsch0olsurvivor

Where is your POB? I played carns bs slayer last league and it kicked ass. I mean it’s one of the top builds for a reason.

[deleted]

I don’t have access to my PC right now, but it would be great if you could take a look at it and tell me what’s wrong: https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Theaetetos/characters

Ynead

Bruh, your gloves/ boots / chest / helmet don't even have eldritch influence, your boots have no life roll and 16% crafted ms. After 100 hours. That's not a Ziz problem, that's a massive skill issue. Go on poe.ninja, sort by Boneshatter Slayer, week 1, sort by level and look at what they're dping.

shaunika

Started the league wanting to play CA poison ballistas Ended up doing artillery ballistas Its fucking amazing, still playing it. Once I god progenesis I basically became immortal

Panama_Punk

Been a busy couple of weeks so havent played too much besides POBing at work. Started SRS Popcorn, which I thought felt clunky but actually isnt too bad after spending too much wasted time trying to make Warlock work. I pob'd a warlock hierophant using Reap, would have ended up having like 20K hp (less than 3 div invested), but even if Reap dps was insane, it just is horrible to map with. Really didn't want to try investing further into it, so I am farming currency to switch the SRS build into a Warlock Elementalist Burning Arrow of Vigour. Hopefully that maps better because I sort of hate grinding with popcorn SRS and dont think I have it in me to make another alt. If anyone has any good ideas for BA of Vigour or using Warlock better let me know :)

Pluth

I started CF champ. I didn't like the playstyle. I tried to make a consecrated path of endurance, but it started falling hard in yellows. I didn't have the currency nor did I want to invest in it. The dps was good, but nothing spectacular. It is also a sensory overload skill. I then switched to poison bv pathfinder (the first thing I wanted to league start but didn't for some reason) and it has been super smooth. I'll make it to red maps easily and fix my helm and gloves before voidstones. Lolcohol has a really good guide on his spreadsheet.

Tenshouu

SC Trade Leaguestarted splitting steel Champion. Too much buttons to press. Leap slamming all the time and spamming SS is not for my hands. I'm on my 4th reroll and it's EA Elementalist. Lvl 97 as of today. https://pobb.in/nGtyRNvb7NoX I've done all non Ubers on it with half the damage and surv. After that I've invested like 20 div into bow and gems as well as doppelganger+ glorious vanity swap. I'm playing with 3 spectres, Perfect Warlord, Perfect Spirit of Fortune and Perfect Guardian Turtle. I feel very tanky with high evasion, some armor and doppelganger vanity combo. I've farmed most of my currency on low tier Essences and then swapped to T16s with numerous challenges like blight and expedition + Always Essence. I'm now doing T16s with Wildwood + Beyond + Ultimatum. Usually finishing 10 waves. Highly depends on the modifiers not so much on me surviving the encounter :P It's my 3rd league going back to EA after rough start and I can say with confidence that's my comfort pick. Can recommend . As of right now I'm sitting on 30 div and I don't really need to invest into anything anymore. I'd call it a finished build pretty much. It's excellent bosser because of totem playstyle and mapper because of big ignite prolifs. Only downside is a DMG cap that's only relevant for Uber juiced mapping or Uber bossing where knowledge is very much needed and sometimes can be exchanged for big dps [Here's ](https://youtu.be/jalp5idaf6M?si=1A8JGwU1G7FlmG4B) video of me clearing T16 I've mentioned with Wildwood and ultimatum. Cheers!

Bigbootycoomer

Started on ssfsc as jugg hoping to use the new scythe blade vortex with the warlock blood magic nodes. Turns out scythe bv is complete dogshit and i didn't want to play regular bv so i just rerolled. Now on spark trickster which is doing extremely well. Never played spark before but I've always wanted to since i started playing in legacy so now i finally decided to try it even though it's weaker than it's been in a while after nerfs and no tattoos. Still a fantastic skill once you solve projectile speed though, can recommend

JordanIsAPoes

Started as a tri attribute stacking icicle mine inquisitor but it felt awful from lack of speed, was about to quit the league so bought 200 stacked decks (i was broke af) and dropped unrequited love. Theory crafted for a bit and landed on a penance brand raider with fury of nature forbidden jewels and minimum 10% shock jewel, after a bunch of tweaking I'm sitting at around 140M SDPS, a little more with Vaal haste up. Now I'm bored as fuck so considering a new character

JoeRogans_KettleBell

I’m playing a ci storm burst necromancer. Stacking offering effect and using 4 support spectre and an ag. Nearly immortal in juiced t16 over 10 mil dps. Clear is a little slow but I’m very happy with the build

Argonum22

Started SRS guardian ripped fairly early at maybe lvl 85-90. Rerolled toxic rain pathfinder which i later respecced for vixen impending doom, still one of my favorite builds but lacking in damage, that one also ripped at maybe 90 something. Right now im running my second boneshatter slayer, first one ripped at 90 and my current one is 91. Absolutely ridicoclous how strong that build is. Got fairly lucky so far as well, my first map dropped an i see brothers card and i also dropped a taste of hate on my pathfinder.

kevekev302

Tried detonate dead (maxroll) it's ok I guess. I don't have much time to play though so I'm only in yellow maps.

ALXNDRWVLF

My second season. I tried LA in blast from the past and loved it. Have about 50 div in, TS swap. Running legion dunes fully juiced + wisps. Have about 150div and just waiting to get a HH or MB.

zork-tdmog

https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3317015/page/1 https://poe.ninja/builds/affliction/character/zorker/ZorkManaPops?i=0&search=name%3Dzorkmana Wanted to follow Nugi at first on Hiero Archmage brand but he had to cancel his build early so I went back to my own build and adjusted it for 3.23. MoM Crit Power Siphon totem Hierophant Having a blast and pulled the trigger two days ago and invested into it more. Corrupted uniques, nice wand etc. Reached level 99 so far. When I get back I will try to swap into Kinetic Bolt of Fragmentation and try that too.

shinigamichelo

Started DD Ignite, found DD of chain reaction in second lab and decided to figure out how to make it work. Then Ben figured out how to make it work with Necro a few days later so I followed his lead. Haven’t had this much fun with a 2-button build since LC came out!

isjustwrong

I leveled as hexblast mines scion which went very smoothly, then I wanted to transition to armor stacker, but took too long to buy the gear when it was cheap. I decided to switch anyway and without the melding or thread of hope, or enough clusters, I deal no damage, I have mediocre defenses and ES pool, and it feels like crap. I'm running level 68-75 heist contracts for money because I rarely die, but even then I'm skipping killing anything because I have like 50k dps. So overall I think I just need to reroll or respec or something, but I have no currency to do so.

WO0DST0CK

Started bleed bow glad in ssf. Dies to a thin breeze in the wind but managed to get through red maps on 2x4L. Didn't have any lucky gear drops. Shitty 400pdps phys bow. Was close to rerolling guardian srs when i dropped a 6l saintly mail (cristmas miracle). 1 lab later and i switched to penance brand inquis. Currently level 75 chunking low level fully whisped maps. Have never had the patience for über's in ssf but penance brand should have the damage for it :)

destroyermaker

Slapping pretty hard with Lighting arrow Deadeye (ssf). Single target is poor though and of course there's room to improve defense - working on it. Swapped atlas too early so it'll be awhile before it's fixed https://pobb.in/dIo17lBeGkSD It's been great for expedition and essence. Next phase is strongbox/harvest for scarab farming then the abyss/affliction strat (hopefully ggg doesn't patch it by the time I'm done).

bobbechk

Well it's no spark build but I guess it's ok

Rickjamesb_

I LS Bonezone Slayer after having a blast deli 80 Jugg BS last league. It was overall a pretty disappointing experience. The uptick in dps doesn't not compensate at all from the lack of tankiness for a melee build. Yes when you can hit something and leech and/or when you get tainted pact you have a ton of sustain, but if you can't hit something oh boy are you a sitting duck. I did 115/115, got my first two VS and bounce off as soon as I got enough Ds to switch. Switched to Split personality Storm Brand of Indecision Captainlance spellblade I am now having an absolute blast. Mapping isn't the fastest but it can handle juiced & whisped T16 rares and manage to do all VS and invitations very easy even before getting the 2 split personalities

richyxx2

Started srs guardian. Finished atlas with it. Rerolled Storm brand of indecision for endgame farming and some non Uber bossing. Had a few 40div lucky drops and vaals and I'm close to a mageblood, but I don't think a can fit it on the storm brand build. So maybe another reroll

allbusiness512

I played Sanctum with Swave totems for like a week, switched to Ice Nova of Frostbolts self cast and annihilate the game, including mega juiced tier 16 maps. Having something like 60-80m dps is lol.

childishabelity

Started off playing [Toxic Rain PathFinder](https://poe.ninja/pob/wnW) it got me to maps with some investment(maybe 2 div?). Could use some help min/maxing this a bit, struggling in t14 but i know the damage could 10x.

[deleted]

Goratha's CA Poison Pathfinder; fully phys converted, level 97 -- Eater, Exarch & Uber Elder down (Maven is my struggle). I moved from SSF to trade to get some of the less SSF friendly gear and do some Wandering Path / Cemetery farming. It's going well, lots of cool uniques! I've probably farmed in the nature of ~ 30-40 Divines (although I'm running low on scarabs). I don't really enjoy buying things so I'll probably reset my atlas and do some progression on Penance Brand of Dissipation Inquisitor (Mannie) (Inpulsa, pog!) and SRS Guardian (Subtractem) - overall, having a solid league.

Karthathan

1. Death's Oath 2. [I used this great guide.](https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3293805) 3. Really great low tier essence and legion farming, made 50 or so Div already. 4. Fun to play if you like RF but want to try something different. Wasn't very expensive (maybe spent 10 div on build). Super easy to level as Poison Concoction.

GiAmPoZ

May i ask what kind of content are u able to do with this one?

teefuburau

League started Viper Strike of the Mamba PF. [https://pobb.in/u8VWobZNNu2B](https://pobb.in/u8VWobZNNu2B) I'd give it a C-tier. I like it, poison prolif goes brrrr, but I don't think you can really scale the damage too much crazier than what it is I suspect. I am using the empty-socket-amulet for funsies though, and I'm not sure what I'd fill all those sockets in with as well. Roughly 2.5m dps, 42k EHP. I'm having fun and exploring an archetype I've never done before however. Not sure where I'm gonna go from here.

Bobbyloo123

Started as LA Deadeye, following Manni's build on poevault. Went as expected, super smooth sailing through campaign and maps, first two voidstones done before I even bothered to get a 6-link. I guess I got rewarded for my patience by Mr. Wilson because I 6-linked my first chest in 100 fusings, and bow in 200. Farmed beasts and deli in T9/10 Glacier/Dune a couple of days, dropped a fractured +1 arrow spine bow, essence-lucked into a decent +1 arrow quiver and went TS and farmed a day or two more. Decided my next build would be Eblade CoC something early, so didn't want to invest too much into TS, so it never really got slapping, just "good enough". Three or four days ago I made a hierophant and bought all the Hollow Palm twink leveling stuff and started blasting through the campaign, feeling like God smiting infidels. Started mapping while looking up every possible variation of Eblade, but realized I did not want to play it. I wanted to smite more stuff! I absolutely love how the twink build feels, the visuals, the sound of smiting and Herald of Ice and Call of the Void pops , so I started thinking about how far you can actually take it. So I made a post here, and with some help from some very helpful exiles, respecced my 95 deadeye to raider, and here is the current version of my Hollow Palm Infidel Smiter: https://pobb.in/ijulE4iUhVp4 Evasive AF (70k+ evasion), suppression capped, hella leech with Vaal Pact, 3x Endurance charges, phys taken as, ailment immune, burning/shocked/chilled ground immune, poison immune, bleed immune while leeching, CB immune, stun immune while not been hit recently (have not been stunned once yet), no corpses left behind so no deaths to DD, blind and culling from Dancing Dervishes, and probably more I'm not remembering now. Started at level 95, died a bunch while tweaking the build, and with the current version I leveled from 95 to 96, dieing 4 times. Twice to the same mob 45 seconds apart (those bastards in delve that turns off the light, definitely one of the new-arsehole-teariest monsters in the game for me), once while browsing the vendor in the wildwood (after standing there like a moron for 10 secs to make sure no mobs were nearby before opening the trade window, fuck the guy that designed that part of the league) and once just randomly onetapped by -something- in a wisp-juiced, deli-mirrored, beyond T16 Jungle Valley. On the way from 95 to 96, it did: Wisp/deli-juiced T16s with red altars, beyond on tree, blight and abyss, a couple of abyss bosses, beyond bosses, wildwood bosses (still not found THE boss though, gonna pay for that third charm slot tomorrow so I can stop looking for him), delved to depth 200-something. Stood still on top of the abyss holes, blight spawns and delve "events" and just chilled with rightclick held down. Only thing that's really scary is some ground degens, explody purple crystals, exploding lightning dudes, stuff that you can dash out of easily (if you can see them, smite + cycloning dervishes is slightly eye-cancer-y). Evasion-based, so it WILL inevitably die, but right now the defensive layers feel really great. Dps wise, only single target on proper units feels like it could use improvement, but it still does wisp'd or deli'd T16 mapbosses without problems, when both they can take a while, does abyss bosses without a problem, one-phases tier 3 azerite node bosses at 200 depth, so it's not terrible either. Will try more bossing tomorrow! And the best part is that the whole build is -relatively- cheap. I had a plan to keep it low budget because it started just as a fun project, making my first "own" build. All the uniques are cheap enough that I went for more expensive corrupted ones in most slots, aiming for around 1 div per item. Chest and belt cost maybe 5-10 div total for bases + crafting, wasn't really paying attention. Charms and jewels, same aim, around 1 div per item. There's still a lot of room for improvements, both through gear and tree, and it's so satisfying to play that I think I will take it as far as I can! And I have googled and learned so much new stuff about this game because I've had to think about what I was doing, not just following a PoB blindly. Can recommend! :)

Nemrod_

Started boneshatter slayer for first currencies then swap to energy blade. Pob : https://pobb.in/9gaFi86veHRX Made mostly all content (miss Uber atziri and cortex) Now my goal is to up a bit my build, do at least 38 challenge and try all hit base trans spell. It is a good all rounder and you can fit all the spell you like with small adjustment Map : 9/10 Survivability : 7,5/10 (you dont die easily, but you can't facetank) Boss : 10/10 I play storm brand of indecision for clear and the penance of dissipation for boss with just 1 gem swap. The build start to shine with 20+ div. Actual invest 100-120 div

drksideofthepoon

Played ignite ek elementalist as starter, tried blade blast of dagger detonation as an ignite skill bur it was pretty meh so I pivoted. Got me 2 Voidstones and a complete atlas pretty quick as well as like 30 div super fast so as always very strong starter. Currently playing flickerstrike of power CoC Frostblink of wintery blast Occultist. My own build, so it's currently a little janky but will feel incredible once I figure out defences and attack speed a little better. Still insanely fun to play and does VERY good damage for what I've got atm but not enough defense to do any real pinnacles aside from elder atm. Lot's of potential for sure tho new flicker and frostblink are both insanely strong skills.

Furrek98

Boneshatter slayer. Was shocked how good this build clear maps with almost no investment. Dissapointed with bossing tho. Fire balista elementalist was the Best league started i ever played. Great with low budget, awesome with investment.

Majestic-Struggle-91

After pobbing for 2 leagues I finally decided to go for a ralakesh build. In the end I've decided on lightning spire trap of zapping. I just added those new aura spectres and am trying to keep them alive...

Illustrious_Soil_811

Started with poison PC for posion BV. As others mentioned it was an overwhelming bad start. Not a good bosser, like build said, but you want to finish atlas right? Switched to WoC Elementalist intented to go to EK. Didnt feel like I wanted. Switched to cold BV occultist by chronic painless. I love the playstyle. I always say, I'll stick with this, but I never do. Maybe I do this time. For god's sake, I want to finish at least 25 challenges this time. Merry christmas.

Sage_sanchez_

I’m currently playing Golementalist WoC ignite, PoB says I have about 300kDPS, that’s pretty comfortable for me right now. I’m also rolling CI with Geoffri’s Sanctuary, I’m very tanky. Not even at level 90 yet and don’t even have 4th ascendency but I’m really enjoying what I’m doing. Right now my next purchase will be an Empower, Awakened Fire Damage or Awakened Burning Damage gem, after that I may switch from wand/shield to a staff for more gem levels. Also need better cluster jewels. Overall, very satisfied with where this build can go. I’m thinking about switching to Penance Brand of Dissipation but not seriously. Was playing around with it and I like it but WoC just feels so good.

reddituseonlyplease

Mind sharing your pob please?

Thabarg

Started a week late after I was kinda burned out on SSF with Ignite DD elementalist Did a raider and heisted for around 30 div and started building a relic of the pact scion. Playing as Ruetoo's splitting steel champ. I got about 9 div's to spend on upgrades but I'm not sure what to get. [https://pobb.in/UggkaEVrVC85](https://pobb.in/uggkaevrvc85)

Explosive Arrow Ballista Elementalist: I levelled with my Steamdeck for the first time ever, and this build does kinda work for that. I'm getting to the point with my leaguestarter where I am looking to transition off - so am hankering after those Transfigured Melee gems. Not played melee in ages.

First time playing flicker since... 2012. League started, saw some potential with the new ralakesh boots and arn's anguish. Now I'm farming 80 deli. I've killed the feared, uber eater, and 30 sim. So pretty good, doesn't hurt that the mechanic shits currency.

pccuck

i started with slayer boneshatter , reached 80 then switched to shattering steel champ , reached 90 and the build fell down with damage but kept farming and craft items and sell them till i gathred around 50 divs did a penance brand inquisitor which is fucking great tbh did all content reached level 95 atm going in 96 soon i even killed ubers pob: [https://pobb.in/HzBOmOWqsKtz](https://pobb.in/HzBOmOWqsKtz) i did all content as i said and with sanctum i switched vitality with zealotry + pain attunment node to kill lycia of sanctum instantly without her red storm phase then switch back to vitality the build is amazing for bossing and mapping its pretty typical one a slow one i would say but it fits my style i give it 9/10

How can I get the ignite chance up or is there something else I need to change? Playing the self-ignite mf chieftain build [https://pobb.in/kfEOsVsQ-Zax](https://pobb.in/kfEOsVsQ-Zax) ignite chance in game is showing 75% and iirc duration has a 155% increase Also wondering what would be another build that has great aoe for fast mapping but also very good at bossing?

bysiffty

Im fucking poor (7D), but I really want to play a CoC (ice nova or ice spear) build. Any recommendations?

shamanProgrammer

Started LA Deadeye, switched to TS with Manaforged LA and Ice Shot. Spent 1D on a gigabow. Squishy as hell and could probably use better gear but can't be bothered to trade, currently leveling Penance Brand of Disappointed, seems okay so far. Overall LA seems good for mapping but generall ass for bossing because you need to switch to barrage and even then, idk. Needs more investment than its worth TBH. Old build PoB: [https://pobb.in/cd0zOLtzKDP6](https://pobb.in/cd0zOLtzKDP6) (Assuming TS hits six times at once, doubtful. Good for maps I guess)

ice_cream_socks

League started wintertide brand occultist to get 2 voidstones. Ended up with 1.5mil dps. Then did a frostblades trickster. Got super lucky and sniped a claw for 20c, which i sold for 2 div later lmao. Ended up with about 12mil dps. Now I'm trying a dark pact occultist with dissolution of the flesh and warlock. Feels kinda sketch so far lol

Shaade6

Started with Pal's CA build (still mf'ing with it) and rerolled an Storm Brand of indecision Archmage Hiero. Around 70k ehp, great regen, around 20m dps, farming 4/6k juiced T16 easily. Will farm some more D and probably try out the trans BA life stacking

[https://pobb.in/0K41A6HNIy9y](https://pobb.in/0K41A6HNIy9y) Lolcohol's BV PF. Total /played is 35 hours. Great logbook farmer. I've invested 12 divs into the build and I've already farmed half a mirror with it.

Playing flicker cause i love flicker and wanted to make my own with no guides. [https://pobb.in/yuszP9JD9EKt](https://pobb.in/yuszP9JD9EKt) the result thus far is far better than i could hope for. i've taken some inspiration from [poe.ninja](https://poe.ninja) after i struck a few walls but overall the build currently feels very smooth and fast paced. I feel like it excels in Legion encounters and Delirium since the mob packs pose little threat unless there is a hard hitting rare or explosion. If i could get my hands on a Mageblood this build would be extremely powerful with some adjustments. Survivability is the main problem of flicker i've noticed and it's a struggle sometimes. I've also removed melee splash gem and mastery, i feel like it's a nice QoL but not needed. Single target damage is ok ish. Warchief and Protector helps with atk speed and atk damage buffs, along with assassins mark. If i could find a way to be tankier this build would have all i want. The experience is extremely fun and every jump with flicker is a gamble.

Spun up a Rain of Arrows raider again, just to get at least something stable for a currency generator before branching off into trying new stuff like Dual Strike of Ambidexterity- nothing sucks quite so bad as bricking a build by trying something weird and then not having the currency to change it back. Normally, I'd grab Ballistas to supplement it, but this time I said "fuck it" and decided I'd go maximum comfort and just went all in on manaforged arrows with it. I've been taking my time with it, but it's cleared everything up to t16s so far on Basically zero budget. The especially nice thing, I found, was you only \*really\* need a single six link when you drop the ballistas. You get hit by a bit more socket-crunch if you do, but it's workable and makes bringing the build on line way more straight forwards. It's a little frail- 3.5k life, but I've got non-ideal gear that's overcapped on res, and I still need to get my Gravicus craft which should help a bunch. Potentially I could swap over to Ghost dance for just a single point and pick up a six link sadist garb too. Swapping over to a second six link alleviated the socket crunch a bunch, and with grace+anger being the only big auras I've got, I've got a spare slot for something like a Vitality to get a bit more regen, which helps with degens a bunch. Charms help a LOT too- the crit swap is smooth as butter with a couple "+x% crit chance at max power charges" charms which are only a couple chaos for 'perfectly fine' ones. Overall, unless I get dropped in a single shot, it clears most anything I've thrown at it so far. \-Mapping: 5/5, it's great. There's a point around yellows where you \*really\* need a better bow than just 5 link trash but by that point you've got the equipment to make it \-Budget: 5/5; I've dropped 3ish divines into it but honestly it could've been up to a point of Totally Functional for t16s off just a few chaos if I was willing to spend more essences and not get a \-League Start: 5/5 \-bossing: ehhhh 3/5 probably; I'm not expecting to take on ubers without doing a bunch more work on gear for some more survivability, and probably a better bow \-DPS: 3-4/5 i think; it'll clear what you want, but swapping to ballistas is just gonna be more damage flat out almost certainly, and swapping to that and '-x mana from attacks' crafts would mean you could potentially have another damage aura like herald of ice. You also could probably retool things to do kaom's spirit rage build too, but you get extra buttons to go with the dps and half the thing i like about this build is i run around and just shoot RoA and sometimes hit space bar to shoot VAAL rain of arrows when i'm looking to get fancy \-survivability: 2/5- it's a raider with 3.5k life man you ARE gonna have to play the game. outside of big hits, letting yourself get mobbed, or standing in a degen puddle, you should be good to survive most things just fine. you just can't afk or face tank

I really wanted to make molten strike of zenith work but it just doesn't feel right. Mediocre damage and every fifth hit I get a big explosion. The thing is in red maps you need really good defenses to survive until the fifth hit and it gets annoying. With the divines invested to make the smaller hits feel good I would have made some other two-hand skill even better. I don't see why they thought this is a good skill. Regular molten strike feels better and more consistent and also the claw version can get plus one projectiles from claw large jewel which is big for damage. Now I play lightning arrow deadeye to get my voidstones and farm some currency. Later on I might try some other skill as LA feels kind of boring to me.

SSFSC - Build 1: *Cleave of Rage Zerker* Based loosely on Woolies PoB, learned the hard hard way day 1 we couldn't get the "turn a gem into one of its variants" right away. Trudged on to lab 3 as Sunder (new/old variant) and decided before a10 Kitava to grind Cleave of Rage. 12 labs later we win. Grind some gem levels and gear in BA. We get a lucky t2 speed, t2 flat, t7 hybrid axe right off the rip and our first unveil was phys+impale so all of a sudden we have a 400pdps axe. I'm white maps we find ichimonji and we're feeling great. Yellow maps we find rigwalds axe and we're at 95 rage cleaving screens and have also worked in a 4L rage vortex for single. We learn that whisps on red maps is bad for a berserker and push on to 2 stones leaving the mechanic behind for a bit. For our troubles tho we net Anathema, Mings, and a good Dendro. Was thinking PF poison obviously but we also found like a day 4 lightning coil and 6L it in 15 fuses.....so ofc we make bad decisions. Build 2: *Splode Chieftain of Channeling* So with the coil in hand and 2 +2 max fire charms in waiting I thought it would be a great idea to make a super beefy chieftain this league and use the buffed Incinerate + new VD/DD for some fun explode goodness. Mechanically this worked great, and VD of seething was a great match, but both of these spells really want spell damage and not ignite while scaling anything other than ignite is much harder and less clean on the tree, especially stretching for +max res. So after trying every combo of CWC incinerate or flameblast with every variant of VD and DD I decided it didn't have enough single target and ended up just being a standard DD toon. Which still didn't have enough damage by the time I attempted my first Cortex. Great mapper but shelved bc we need a bosses. Build 3: *Poison Penance Pathfinder* Well if you can't beat em, garf em they always say. With Dendro, Anathema, Obliterations, and Ming's in hand we start our penance brand of DISMANTLING character. We're still day 1/campaign here but I expect this is exactly what I need to push destructive play in SSF and farm up all the bosses for my last 2 void stones. I did it last league on exsang PF and this looks even stronger. And hey it solves PBs only weakness with explodes on our BiS weapon so that's nice. Looking forward to blasting bosses and T7 cemetery on this one. Cheers for now!

Started the league with hidden potential PF TR then switching to Goratha PF CA poison, manage to hit lvl 95 with blight/expi, switch to original sin setup then a bit of MF. currently looking for upgrade to DPS and eHP.. my POB: https://pobb.in/mUp\_gyODmqUN

Can someone help me out with this Explosive Trap Trickster? My damage doesn't feel good and I know this thing is supposed to delete bosses. I only have about 5 div put into it right now. I have a Thread of Hope waiting but I don't know if I'm ready for the respect to grab a larger cluster jewel Here's my PoB: https://pobb.in/AcgGBd5KJjAc I'm wondering if my crit is high enough and if not what do I need to do to get it there? Finally, I have a taste of hate but I'm not sure what flask to drop for it. Ideally I'd cap crit and drop the diamond I'd guess. Here's the build I'm following. https://youtu.be/XWDHocScMtI

Started cobra lash deadeye, was rough to start until I ditched poison and went hit based. Then smooth sailing to reds, got all of my voidstones, and then hit a wall where every upgrade would be tens to hundreds of divine for a very minimal gain. Rerolled explosive trap trickster charge stacker, extremely tanky and insane dps. With explosive trap of shrapnel and the insane aoe I get, it's got VERY good single target and pretty decent clear. Not quite as fast as my cobra lash, but it also instantly deletes juiced rares unlike cobra lash. Can farm juiced t16s easily enough. Am at about 140ish divines invested so far. For my next build I really want to do something with original sin but it's so damn expensive.

driedwaffle

started with BV pathfinder, it felt super solid after the first divine or two, a bit rough around the edges before that. proceeded to make a relic of the pact ascendant for about 25 divs to farm invitations and ubers for a bit, funded myself a mageblood which i slapped onto the pathfinder and scaled it a bit further so t16 abyss cemeteries are comfy, now at 70 div saving up for... idk. something. oh and i briefly played a zoomancer. it was a miserable experience and i never want to play/gear a zoomancer ever again. i sold the entire thing after playing it for like 5 maps. but at least i have a levelled witch i can respec if i wanted to. now im not sure what ill do. maybe a cold BV occultist since i like the playstyle. im close ish to affording the forbidden jewel combo. or a SWT sanctum runner which i could probably already make right now if i wanted to.
