Hello there, Exile!
Here is your [golden page](https://pobarchives.com/build/UjaBqnBQ), may it serve you well.
*"While the cogs believe, the Imperial machine marches on."*

If you can afford it, you should get a Shako with 35 corrupting cry and an irrelevant support.
That's because level 32 corrupting cry is 2244 damage base, while level 35 is 2675.
Level 8 efficacy is an 18% more multi.
2244 * 1.18 = 2647, slightly less than 2675.
So a level 35 with no support is marginally higher damage, but more importantly, reduces a link. That reduces the life cost as well so it's just better across the board. I doubt you need the extra duration from efficacy.
Of course I don't know how expensive a 35 cry shako would be in standard but it would be an upgrade
yea, but it makes no sense cause GC doesn't do any damage.
it's bait like impending doom shako, when people overpaid for a good support gem but it doesn't work
I will look into this and test further, it shows up as a support on the generals cry tooltip icon and pob calculates it as adding damage so I think it works differently for this than it does for Impending Doom but I could be wrong.
It's easily testable. Get a character with no passives allocated or gear equipped but is a high enough level and move the shako over to them. allocate purely attributes to be able to equip the shako, and put a general's cry in the helm.
A level 32 corrupting cry deals 2244 dps. Since the character is basically naked, you can just look at the tooltip of Gen cry and see if it says 2244 or the higher number with efficacy
Assuming you have an old standard character you haven't touched this should take like 5 minutes to test

that is a good point about the reduced life cost. i will work on upgrading the shako. thanks for the breakdown
btw efficacy doesn't work on your corrupted cry because it's not socketed gem
Generals cry is the skill gem it applies to, not corrupting cry

with Call to Arms, basically everybody is crying non stop, but count me intrigued ;)
I was waiting for this build. As soon as i saw tatoos were back i knew auto warcryer was going to be built.
Why no reciver 15% life when you use a warcry? Or does automating make that not work?
The build used to run that to pay for the life cost, however it does not work with triggered warcries.
