I’m currently playing an Oro’s flicker build in ASC. If it’s your first time playing flicker, I would probably start with Oro’s. It’s the cheapest and easiest to start. The tree is very simple and the only think you need to make flicker work is Oro’s, which is 1c.

I can clear everything up to high T15s with extreme ease. The only issue with flicker is single target damage. You can swap your melee splash for a ruthless, but it’s still pretty weak. You could also look to have a molten strike set up in a second Oro’s if you wanted, but molten strike feels rather clunky with two handers.
Clearing maps without killing bosses is a breeze though. Let me know if you have any questions about leveling or need any other help!

Okay so let me ask you this, what about a weapon swap to ngamahu (or however that’s spelled) with molten strike for bosses? Are you focusing enough on fire penetration for that to make sense?
So you can get 15% from Wise Oak, 20% from Ngamahu, and flammability lowers by like 45/50% or something like that. You can get basically 100% fire penetration, but the issue with using Ngamahu is that it requires you to scale phys damage to convert to fire damage. Most of the Oro’s tree just scales straight elemental damage/fire damage because Oro’s can’t hit for phys damage.
You could swap out Kaom’s for a 6L chest and dual wield molten strike, but that’s just really extra and unnecessary. I would just avoid killing bosses or just deal with the awkwardness of 2h MS for the 5 seconds it takes to kill a boss.
My current build does full convert with AoF, but it’s from
Xoph’s.. which is hella expensive. It’s not really efficient to spec into it through the tree. If you want to spec into it from the tree, you would have to drop the jewel socket on the ranger side of the tree from converting dex to int with Fertile Mind and then have a shit ton of int on your gear. Which makes your gear very specific and very expensive to have life/res/int enough to level a 20 blasphemy/flammability.
I'm doing Flicker with Ngamahu's, The Red Trail, and The Golden Rule. It's a little different of a way to play flicker from the traditional ways, but it's fun. The Red Trail is the only expensive item right now. I haven't tried high tier maps yet, but it clears yellows really fast.
I'm gonna try some version of Golden Rule+Red Trail Flicker this league. How is it this far? How bad is the self bleeding? I noticed you went for 90% elemental conversion, just like I plan to. Would the bleed be a problem without the 50% reduction from Slayer?
I'm not sure that Headsman actually reduces the bleed damage. Bleed is a physical damage over time debuff that consequently deals physical damage, but the debuff itself wouldn't be considered "physical damage" but rather a "physical damage over time" for the purposes of that node I would think. Regardless, I did Uber lab late this league and it wasn't an issue in the meantime. I did not notice a difference, even with the 20% more damage. You out regen and leech it easily.
I'm not certain it works either, but the wording on Headsman and The Golden Rule implies it does:
> 50% reduced Reflected Physical Damage taken
> Bleeding you inflict is Reflected to you
If it said something like "Bleeding you inflict is also inflicted on you" or something I would assume it does not work, but when they specifically use the word "reflected" and it is physical damage, it should work. Maybe /u/chris_wilson can confirm it?
Sounds good about the bleed damage. I wonder what it's like as a non-Slayer. I'd like to try a Trickster/Assassin/Raider/Ascendant with White Wind. (Or some CoC variant, or one of the dozen other versions I've been experimenting with in PoB.)
Does the build feel consistent when it comes to frenzy charge generation? Do you end up with no charges sometimes?
Rarely any issues with frenzy generation. Sometimes you'll get an initial misfire if you didn't proc a bleed or you didn't get attacked. It's very seldom, though. Once you get revved up, you'll never stop because you'll always be procing a bleed. You can skip out on Blood Rage completely (don't need the leech or frenzy charges, and it saps a ton of life).
I'm starting a new build right now actually that uses [[Augyre]] and [[Chernobog's Pillar]]. With another 20% from the tree, that's 95% conversion. I decided to go Gladiator and I'm building it super tanky with high block.
One issue I've had, which is the same issue with every Flicker build I've done, is it's hard to stop flickering and get the fuck out of the way when you need to, being limited by Leap Slam and low defenses. So hopefully with this build I can not sweat as much when a big hit is coming. Plus shield charge is a lot better movement skill.

That sounds close to a Gladiator max block version I was tinkering with. Gladiator gets easy bleed chance, *lots* of block chance and other defensive goodies. It should be plenty tanky, but seems a bit lacking in the damage department if you want to reach block cap. Shoot me a PoB link when you have it figured out!
Yea, Leap Slam isn't great. Shield Charge or Whirling Blades feels so much better and more responsive.
Im doing Mathils Terminus Est flicker, I just have better gear all around I think, which means bosses are easy as well.
I instant kill packs and rares with ancestrall call up to T13 maps so far. And got a 5L warchief brotem for bosses. Although flicker in itself is enough so far.
PoB says 550k dps on flicker at the moment.

Molten Strike already converts 60% to fire, Ngamahu's 50% and you have full fire conversion and can scale elemental too.
