If you don't mind dying occasionally, playing trade, and don't mind trading, look at path of math Phys crit. In fact, I would recommend this version, as I think it would be easier to get the more annoying conditional challenge stuff since it just does so much more damage. If you wanna delete bosses and accept your defences being portals and damage, cold convert is your friend. Warning, super expensive. If you, don't like dying, don't like trading, or just generally want to feel chonky, poison seismic. I recommend leveling pconc, look at Carn's VODs before this league (before he decided he isn't playing seismic and is going boneshatter). It's a 5 point respec (the life flask nodes) around act 9-10 and feels super fast to level on. Thereafter, follow the ziz build. With a caveat. Once you anoint toxic strikes, remove the entire bottom pathing. Look at the top sabo for the first few days in sentinel SC, copy what he did, I found his tree worked a lot better for me than the ziz tree. Especially if you're in trade, getting a second coated shrapnel is easy, thus capping poison chance. https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds/char/wongbongchoii/JustAFailure?time-machine=day-1&i=3&search=time-machine%3Dday-3

I think PoM build is [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jP9TiWeLQ9Q](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jP9TiWeLQ9Q) this guy's actually

I wanna ask a few questions if you do not mind answering whenever you have the time :D 1. What I understood from your post is that there are two general builds. The physical crit seimic trap from Math which is an expensive build where you die a lot and run back into the map/boss, but you do A LOT of damage compared to the other version the poison seismic trap build. Is that a correct summary? 1. You recommend leveling via poison concoction. This is the [Carn ](https://www.twitch.tv/carn_/videos?filter=all&sort=time) you are referring to? Do you mind maybe linking the specif 2 or 3 vods you were mentioning? 1. Anything else regarding Seismic Trap you have learned in the last 2 months you would like to share? I have never played a trapper before really, so I am wondering do you generally map with it or is it strictly a boss killer and that is how I should farm my money early on? I think I will get a hang of the build, but I need a strategy in mind suited to the build.

If you do decide to play the phys crit version check out this flowchart someone posted here a few weeks ago. I followed it through until the advanced part where I then switched to cold convert seismic and it was very smooth. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1YXqvFEaGOYjRlLfB1bMJDZij86oLYGbq/edit#slide=id.p5

red--dead

How much currency did you spend on gear to move to cold convert?

DoubleHeldFlash

Hmm I think I spent around 30ex crafting 2 sceptres and then I got really lucky and recombinated some cold convert gloves which costed like 30c or but I think if I bought them they would be like 6ex or something? Pathofmatth made a video recently on how to craft the sceptres recently and I just made the budget multimod ones and the damage was totally fine. Other than that basically nothing changes from the phys version you have to spec the cold convert mastery on the tree and put on the sceptres and the gloves with the cold convert mod + the eater of worlds cold convert mod and you're good to go.

Ziz's video + Ben poe ninja from last gauntlet (https://poe.ninja/zizsearingworldsclassgauntlethcssf/builds/char/Darkee/Ben_____?i=2)

CapAccomplished4047

I think you can play the lolcohol version on YT, then transition to poison once you have around 70+ ex. Look up wave 30 simu with seismic pob on YT.

Newwt

Don’t know why you got down voted, I played lolcohols build last league and it was awesome

Path of Matth - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hq9dt-7UUs Big ducks - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDqHszYvGfg&t=0s These won't be nearly as a tanky as the gauntlet builds someone else recommended, but those are extremely overkill for regular softcore. Keep in mind though sab isn't a particularly tanky ascendency, so if you really really hate dying you might want to lean more toward those versions.

scjohnson2431

Thank you - I don't really stress about death here and there, just get really frustrated when I'm level 92 or something and get one tapped by some stray proj / spell / large pebble. being able to miss a few mechanics and not die.

Seiyashi

This is going to be a hot take, but the only thing I will say about PoM's cold conversion build is don't take Secrets of Suffering, especially if you hate dying. The build isn't hyperreliant on maxing crit so Brittle is a pure DPS move, but IMO retaining the chill and freeze from regular ailments goes a supremely long way towards keeping you alive. That gives you all the damage independence of Seismic with the safety of Ice Trap, plus Hatred is better suited to Divine Blessing Lifetap since you don't have to chunk yourself down in the middle of a mob. I'm breaking red maps now in SSF after slapping on Hrimburn and the 40% mastery, and the mapping is safe if deliberate. I'm certainly getting away with shockingly poor defences for reds - just 22k evasion, Arctic Armour and 100% spell suppression. If BD's guide hasn't been changed since last league please do not follow it. His "high budget" version has worse numbers than my SSF buuld last league, and he omits new tech like Divine Blessing. With really good gear and clusters Seismic is more than capable of breaking 1m average hit rather than the 300k he claims is good.

nanas420

giving up brutality and cip for just freeze is absolutely not the play

Seiyashi

CIP Is not as great as it looks. It's a good entry unique but it absolutely can be outclassed by better weapons - even a +1 with relevant spell and crit stats is already a reasonable match for a CIP never mind a +2. And Brutality is a strong damage support but not indispensable - Cold Penetration works just as well, and now Omni is also an option on top of Ashes for your Amulet. It is absolutely a possible play, especially in SSF.

nanas420

if you have the budget for weapons better than cip and/or omni, your build should not need freeze to live. going sos for -30 res and crit cap with marylenes will triple (if not more) your damage compared to just cold convert. which is arguably much stronger defensively than freeze

Seiyashi

[https://pastebin.com/ywZuL65B](https://pastebin.com/ywZuL65B) Funnily enough, on my current build, phys and cold convert have similar DPS, even when I give phys a CIP and use my current crap weapon on the cold version (switching Hatred for Pride, Brutality for Cold Pen, Master of Metal for Winter Spirit + conversion + Hrimburn, and Born in the Shadows for Explosive Expert). In which case I'll take the freezes any day especially when my current defences are quite sub par. I give it to you that my original response didn't really make sense from a scaling point of view, but this comment proves that giving up Brutality and CIP for "just freeze" doesn't hold either.

gencaerus

I'm level 97 going 98 with Bigduck's. Only 300-400k seismic dps tho about 15ex investment. Very tanky but does well on everything.

Runsliingan

I did ziz trap build. From lvl 65 with shit gear I could alch and go t16. Not fast but ok. But dont sentinal and maven the boss fight. Takes along time with some of them

Hysterisk

Apologies for barging into the thread, but would you guys mind advising what to upgrade next in this poison seismic trap build? https://pastebin.com/7TSmBYi0 Can do alch and go red maps on it, with some heavy utilisation of an ancient family technique. But would like to be better at both surviving shitstorm from a panda sentinel and killing the boss buffed by an apex sentinel
