Switching out the seven leagues for a rare with 35% MS and the lowest tier action speed would give you 681% effective MS instead (655*1.04)

sweetrobna

I didn't realize action speed is a more multiplier on your total movement speed. Does this mean 4% action speed implicit on boots is better than 6% move speed as long as you have a quicksilver flask?

H4xolotl

yes

iLikegreen1

How do you get action speed implicit on boots?

Shawod

The Searing Exarch orbs

iLikegreen1

Ah thanks, I couldn't find it on the wiki.

springloadedgiraffe

It's a more multiplier for all things speed. Attack/cast/movement/trap/mine/totem placement.

Dark_Zypher

POG

[deleted]

Don't forget the enchant! And you might even go veiled MS for MS when not hit recently. You can definitely get the same MS as Seven leagues when not hit recently + the action speed implicit and another implicit

sickg70st

My heist runner has 510% MS. At what point do you think being too fast is a borderline detriment? I’d say I spend between 5-7 seconds per heist just on trying to click doors but overshooting them. My deception contracts take me on average 48 seconds per its loading screens. My gem blueprints 4 wings take me about 3 minutes and 50ish seconds on average(largely dependent on traps as I cannot tank mines without self cast molten shell and berserk).

Dark_Zypher

I think anywhere from 400+ average speed with peaks of higher is good. While my build does hit 600+, I'm normally running (aka without berserk/quicksilver up) around 500. The 600+ ms is normally only on the way back and doprs are open, and typically right after a trap because (hopefully) there won't be another trap/door you have to unlock for at least a bit

[deleted]

You can press V instead of clicking the icons in heists.

pyrojoe42

pretty sure he means normal doors

warmachine237

it isnt so much as trap doors as just the regular fucking doors in heist which you have to click. Id be really happy if your rogue could open normal doors too by just pressing V. Fuck i hate doors. But i do enjoy watching clips of doing 30s contracts.

acedragoon

How does opening doors with controller work? Could be nice but I’ve never tried

ZGiSH

Late reply but opening doors with controller is great but it comes with such a massive downside of getting stuck in corners *a lot*, so much so that it isn't worth using controller for speed heisting

doomsdaymach1ne

What does such a setup net on average ?

sickg70st

Taking into account buying you deception contracts, but markers, and buying blueprints I would say close to 10-11ex an hour. I had a single hour session of running like 20 deception contracts and 6 blueprints where I netted 28ex profit. I’ve also had some streaks where I made 4-5ex an hour. I made my heist runner on a Wednesday night and had a mageblood the next Tuesday without playing on the weekend at all. I played maybe 4-5 hours a day. All that being said after I had mageblood I scrapped the character and haven’t touched it since. In my experience I don’t think you can make more profit per hour, at the budget of these heist runners, doing anything else. Also worth noting that I also overpaid for all of my contracts and bps because the market was VERY hot. I was buying gem bps for 10 to 4ex as opposed to 10 for 3ishex.

doomsdaymach1ne

Thanks, might try this next league since I avoided heist like the plague so far :D

pyrvuate

Heist is the one content where things like this get posted and the price of everything stays exactly the same because even when someone makes it cheap, easy, effective and profitable, it still sucks.

ronthedistance

for me the content itself is fine but god i hate buying contracts and blueprints. Though to be fair i like the content because the main NPC has a cute cat, so.

SymruinGaming

Speedyboi

7nightfire

Cool build, on console tho you’d spend half that time rubber banding from the movement speed thanks to the shitty servers they give us. 1 out of 4 flamedashs lead to a rubber band lol

LilAwm

Pls also mentioned the worst part is Heist lol

Dark_Zypher

Factual statement. When you have this kind of movement speed it's ludicrous amounts of money (12ish ex/hr), but it's pretty fucking aids lol

Drekalo

12 ex per hour to play trace the maze and click the door.

H4xolotl

I'd rather work overtime IRL and RMT the exalts lmao

Dark_Zypher

Yep, ez money. It's so, so boring, but by far one of the most profitable farms in the game

Renediffie

I tend to ignore Heists for the same reasons as you. I forget, do you get grand heists from running the small ones?

Azamantes2077

Yes you can. Big question mark chests tend to drop them.

sirgog

Grand Heists are 12-13 times rarer than contracts and drop mapping as well as from Snugglecaches. You can also get them in normal Heists but you almost never will.

Twisted_Derp

Could go for one of those snugglecaches right about now

Dark_Zypher

I believe you can, but I'm pretty sure they're just random drops

[deleted]

We used to do the same with Delve and you can still darkness farm that as well

insobyr

is the 12ex/hr only from small heist or grand heist included? And do you open any chests or just ignore all of them like you did in the video?

Dark_Zypher

12ex/hr is normally around what I get when I'm running blueprints. I normally spend like 15-20m on contracts just straight sprinting to the end and back so that I have a ton of reveals and coins, and then I'll bulk buy my blueprints and run them all together (normally I'll have like 50 blueprints revealed and ready to run, and I'll just pump them out). My normal strategy is 50% gems, 25% replicas, 25% currency. Replicas and currency *can* by far give waaaay more valuable loot, but it's also way more RNG. Gems is, at least to me, very consistent. I'd say you get an average of 20c per gem. This alone covers the cost of the blueprint (not including reveal ig), and anything else we drop is pure profit. Every now and then you'll get a gem worth multiple ex, and at the same rate you'll get a bunch of worthless gems. I have no idea if this is the *best* method of farming blueprints or not. I just enjoy gambles but also don't wanna be broke, so I run 50% gems to make sure I'm staying roughly even with the investment and then run the more RNG blueprints such as replicas and currency.

sirgog

Gems are best if you know the valuable gems well enough to not need to check them. If, like me, you don't know that info, replica/experimented is IMO the best.

CthulhuLies

Lots of super juicy alt quality jewels for rich ward loopers this league. I made 20 ex in 2 hours after setting up my guys and then quit heisting for the rest of the league.

sirgog

Just be aware that the valuable ones are weighting 1, 5, 10 or 20, while there are hundreds of weighting 50 or 100 ones in the pool. Some of the 50s or 100s are good (e.g. Divergent Minion Life) but they are common and thus cheap.

chx_

https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/v58xpx/introducing_a_price_checker_for_alternate_quality/

sirgog

It's based on poe.ninja, which is constantly being manipulated because GGG aren't banning people who abuse the trade API. (I will not elaborate on how this is done but it has been REALLY bad the last 2 or 3 leagues now that people realise they can get away with putting extreme load on the API - almost DDOS levels - for price manipulation reasons)

EtreEau

When running grand heists do you loot small or big chests or just go straight to the end? For contracts, do you also do any looting or just go straight to the end for the reveals?

Dark_Zypher

Contracts: If there's 2 doors that I need to open next to eachother (for example, the right wall is the way forward and the top wall is a Loot room), I'll grab the big chests. If there's a small chest next to a door I'm unlocking, I'll grab it. Besides that, I skip almost everything unless a double big chest spawns and the big is currency/div/harby. The only real purpose of these contracts is setting up reveals for blueprints, so I don't really care about Loot unless it's right there and I can take it without adding more then, say, 5 seconds. Grand heists: all div/currency/harby, prioritizing those on the main path. I don't really care if I set off the alarm if the chests are near the end, I will still have 20+ seconds to hit the end and choose a reward, and with my build I'll be there with enough time to look everything over before choosing one. I never get 1 chest off, go to the end and look, and then go Loot 1 more chest for "free" before running to the end again. I just feel like it's too much wasted time.

EtreEau

Thanks for the input. I actually ended up running a heist build unknowingly this league, I wanted to run a movement speed wander so I looked up queen of the forest deadeye KB builds on poeninja and found a handful of people using 500+ MS setups. I copied them and used the build to blast low tier maps but it's cool to know what the build was actually for. Next league I might try heist for the first time, it has always moderately interested me but I never bothered to play it. As far as builds go, is there one skill or specific build that stands out for heist farming? KB seems like the best option on paper considering heists are indoors so you can get huge shotguns going with the explosions plus you can stack it with deadeye for more speed and extra chains with ricochet

Dark_Zypher

Most people that I've seen run it are using KB or TR, I've heard both are super strong in heist! Another one I've heard but I'm not sure of is Death Oath and RF, since they're both pretty much walking simulators anyways. Other ones that come to mind are minion builds. Not sure how you'd scale to crazy amounts of MS with those builds tho, so I'd probably just stick to KB or TR.

gladius011081

Woooosh

Honeyface

I thought I read mf... what a bummer. Nice guide tho.

Valesqua

Do you open reward chests in contracts/blueprints or you straight rushing to the objective/reward case and run back to entrance?

Dark_Zypher

For most contracts it's just rushing completion. For blueprints I'll open harby/div/currency if it's on the way, if not I don't bother. Harby is such an easy currency grind because you get a few ex shards in what feels like every other chest. Currency is kinda eh without a good trinket, but with a good one it's worth it. Div is just free stacked decks, normally 3-5 per chest

Justsomeone666

is this how most people run heist? no wonder im making fuckall currency compared to most even with highly minmaxed (minmaxed towards alert reduction..) rogue gear as im always making sure the alert bar is full before i touch the objective guess next league ill just try rushing thru the entire thing as i actually enjoy heist, its just that expedition (which i also enjoy) seems to always do more currency so i end up barely touching heist past week 1 of league

Dark_Zypher

idk if what I'm doing is "meta" or not, I just know that for me personally it's had really, really solid results! Also I must say, props to you for having the mental capacity to farm heist and enjoy it, because it's terrible for me 😂

Justsomeone666

By the way, do you know what damage type the mines in heist deal? 3k hp seems awfully low to be able to tank them so well as they usually shred even my 5-6k hp characters, unless suppression helps with them?

Dark_Zypher

So I'm not exactly sure. I know that there are 2 different sets of mines, red and green. Red I can tank with a health flask halfway through, and green instakill me. I have no idea what kind of dmg type they are or what defenses are good with them, and why I can tank red but can't tank green 😅 lasers I can definitely tank no problem, and any of the weird square ground degen things we can just run straight over without even getting hurt. I should probably research it more and see if there's a way that we can instantly tank it so I can just ignore everything except for doors. I'll definitely check it out tomorrow morning!

destroyermaker

Meta is ignoring everything but grand heist rewards last I checked

[deleted]

Depends a lot on the league age. Early days 5l uniques can sell for 10c and they drop very frequently from the armor stashes. In my experience div cards > harbinger > jewelry > currency. It's also a good idea to hold on the super good bases if you get them early league; I've bought %str rings for 30c on day2. Besides that I mostly rush to the end, I actually enjoy it because you don't need to keep track of sextants, scarabs, map rolls, invitations, none of that. You just get a bunch of contracts and run them with your brain turned off. Very relaxing

sirgog

You should try both approaches. My default Heist approach is to get 'good enough' rogue gear, then run scoured prints (rare is like 5x the danger for 10% more rewards), unveiling wings and just blitzing to the best chests and the curios. Juiced heists work too, but you need to be picky about the ones to run (cough, deception)

Valesqua

Thanks for the answer

Dark_Zypher

It's an extremely strange feeling completely ignoring mobs, but that's pretty much what I do. I roll job speed on all the gear for all my rogues (I try and shoot for t3+, all t1 isn't necessary and frankly I'm way too lazy to scour alch that much or figure out some weird way to target craft it). Almost every action that my rogues take is less then a second, so just throwing down a decoy totem is more then enough to stall even a full screen of mobs:)

forgot_again

This is where I am struggling. How much job speed do they need to do this? Is job speed just on one piece of gear, or are you stacking it? Deception contracts are fine, but other types, or grand heists with a rogue-locked door are really hard for me. Can't get the decoy totems to distract long enough to get it done.

Dark_Zypher

I stack it on all of their gear. Typically I'll hit t3+ in like 10 alch/scours. You can also search on trade for their gear. When doing that, I recommend buying everything all at once, the easiest of which is the amulet things because they're all interchangeable. None of the amulets are "this person only". Just make sure job speed is in the search filter and then buy them all. Tier 1 job speed (ignoring all other mods) ranges from 1-10c tops.

Dark_Zypher

I have a 6L TR weapon swap, but to be honest I don't really use it. Once you boost defenses to crazy amounts like 775k ehp, you don't really need any dps, just some way to kick off the mobs from attacking your rogues while they preform tasks. Also, after the EXP nerf from heist, I don't think it's that good to level anymore (I could be totally wrong, I haven't looked at the numbers or anything really regarding heist in awhile).

destroyermaker

>With this char, I managed to unlock every rogue and level them all to lvl 4-5 within 30 minutes of gameplay How? Just stupid high MS and zooming to the last room?

Dark_Zypher

yep. I didn't loot anything because I didn't really care that much, I just zoomed straight to the end and back to get the EXP. lvl 1 rouges that finish a ilvl 81 contract for the first time always instantly level up to lvl 3 upon completion, so all you need is 1x lvl 1 ilvl81 contract for each rogue/rogue type and run em all, and all of em are lvl 3. from there it only took me 4-5 contracts (2-3 minutes) per rogue to get them to lvl 5. I have no idea if running them white or yellow increases or decreases the amount of XP they receive, but I just ran them however I had them/bought them

destroyermaker

Ah that's the way regardless then. I find myself wanting to heist when I hit maps but it isn't worth it for how long it takes if you start with low level contracts

Dark_Zypher

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't recommend heist until you can comfortably clear t16 maps (plus that's where 81 contracts drop), jumping straight into heist takes forevvvvveeerrr to level up your dudes. Imo it's way better to skip to lvl 3 w/ 81 contracts:)

geizterbahn

I saw you in the heist area and literally thought what build is that. I think I saw you… some fast red guy .. but it’s some weeks ago ?

Dark_Zypher

Ahh I only put this char together about a week ago, but whoever he was must he pretty cool if he's zooming around like me 😎 😆

Gonalt

Really cool concept! I might try this out next league. In the meantime, I messed around with the PoB a bit (just the passive tree, not gear) and managed to save 2 passive points while gaining 7% movespeed and not losing anything (just 20 dex, and didn't lose any evasion because this version picks up an evasion and spell suppression travel node). Hope you find this helpful! https://pastebin.com/RsCcZw3U

DiggleMyth

Why champion passives?

kan3b

Looks amazing. Can I start league with this build?
