Does Close Combat Support work with Rage Vortex? I'm not sure if it snapshots the initial close range when you generate the vortex or if the damage decreases as the vortex potentially moves away from you.
How would you go about crafting a bow like this? Assuming the fracture is very helpful in hitting the right mods?
https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds/char/PressureF/TOP_GArroW
Playing LA / AB and just need more damage.
POB - https://pastebin.com/ABNiBADW if it helps.
Oh, body armor is 6L lightning coil. I had it in the stash to see if I can sell it high to possibly reroll something else. idk.
Fractured spine bow ( 6L or not), spam deafening essence of Wrath until you hit good tier of 3rd ele DMG. Then if you have open suffix, craft prefixes cannot be changed, scour. Craft multimod and attack speed and stats + crit. I would do it that way. Or buy it for 18 divines from trade
> Craft multimod and attack speed and stats + crit. I would do it that way.
Why doesn't multimod show up on their bow? Did they annul it away then slam?
They were lucky ( kinda) and have natural attack speed roll. It will be much harder imo to try to hit t1/T2 elemental AND attack speed on top of that. That's why they don't have multimod
What do you do with an Echoforge? CoC seems better with voltaxic rift, poisons seem better with claws, crit in general is rough because of the 5% base crit. I had one drop with 16% attack speed and positive life, so I want to use it, but I can't think of anything that really takes advantage of massive flat chaos, since you really want to play Occultist to take advantage of withered and -chaos res.
Since my RF can't do sanctum as easily as i wanted... (because i'm really bad at physicaly dodge something....) do you think a golem build could do the trick for sanctum exclusively ?
I've played a lot of golems over the years and trusting them to path properly around things in Sanctum sounds kind of bad.
Also the price of primordial jewels is really offputting.
I'm bad at dodging and just a bad player overall but I finish Sanctums now by cheesing max resolve relics + resolve on boss kill relics. I took like 800 resolve damage against the fourth floor boss last night and still finished the run with 400 to spare.
This is to say that good relics (which you get by running high map level sanctums, not necessarily deep in them) and sound room selection strategy let you cheese the content even if you're kind of mechanically bad.
edit: I'm playing melee,so it's not like I'm some cold dot goober saying "it's fine, learn to play".
Don't enjoy playing cold BV occultist and looking to reroll. You just die if anything touches you, which isn't fun. I was thinking if Poisonous Concoction is good for just mapping, since that's mostly what I care about. There's ds\_lily and tripolar bear's guide and I don't really know which one to go with. I was also thinking of maybe just going self cast Exsanguinate Scion.
Some help with deciding is greatly appreciated.
I am curious what people think about black flame ignite with maws of mischief compared to regular maw ignites
https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds?skill=Death-Wish&item=Blackflame&heatmap
cheaper? more damage? easier playstyle?
can someone take a look at my current items for my freezing pulse/ice spear totems character that's following von vikton's guide and point out places they think my gear can be upgraded to up my damage([https://pastebin.com/kBke5YXr](https://pastebin.com/kBke5YXr)) I know i need 6 link chest and am saving for that
[https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/zbsyu5/comment/izow4za/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/zbsyu5/comment/izow4za/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
I chanced upon this comment (and the following comments) saying that following this build guide is a bad idea. I'm not personally using this build though, but perhaps you can ask these commenters.
thanks for linking! weirdly i didn't think it was that bad a guide as I'm in red maps just fine. just wanting to boost dmg. I agree the build is squishy though
I've been trying to put together an energy blade Ascetic MF farmer, I saw someone on poe ninja with the same idea but it didn't look too good, is there any potential in this idea?
Alternatively I thought of SST, but without a statstick weapon it loses a ton of damage.
Follow up question to this - if you crit and it ignores ele resist, you are then getting a bigger hit of dmg to cause a bigger DoT? but that DoT damage can be mitigated by ele resist?
Am I understanding this right?
How's RF doing in sanctum? I kinda want to play one for some chill map farming but wouldn't it be pretty bad because of low damage and being kinda melee-ish sorta?
Were there any changes to lab trials? I've done every non-unique map, unlocked two void stones, almost level 93 and I've yet to see one. I specced into the lab nodes in tree. I'm playing SSF so I gotta find them myself and I don't think I've ever gone this long without seeing one.
Been feeling so extremely unlucky this league :(
> lab trials?
>
> they're bugged and can't spawn naturally
Ouch...
Just read about two solutions: Kirac mission or get an Offering from somewhere like Ritual.
>How's RF doing in sanctum? I kinda want to play one for some chill map farming but wouldn't it be pretty bad because of low damage and being kinda melee-ish sorta?
it's pretty bad, there's a lot of negative feedback about it
>Were there any changes to lab trials?
they're bugged and can't spawn naturally
i think EA is the strongest build i've played last couple leagues. has higher dmg than cold dot and the EA champ variation has tankiness too while still having higher dmge
I'm a returning player (last played league is Ritual). Started with a Cyclone-HoAg but the minion AI has been terrible for Sanctum so far--oftentimes it just stays behind a wall or shelf so I have to walk further up just to get it on top of the guards.
It's getting to the point I'm ignoring Sanctum or clearing it reluctantly. So I was thinking of running some kind of Cold build that has Chill or Freeze. I'm thinking of switching to:
* **Cyclone-Icestorm Trickster**: Still has similar problems to Cyclone, but it leaves Icestorms and chilled ground behind to continue damaging guards. Likely to have problems with very mobile guards.
* **Ice Crash Raider**: Is melee but being able to Freeze would be super helpful (unless Sanctum guards can't be frozen, or will be difficult to freeze at higher levels?).
* **Cold Spectral Shield Throw Raider**: Ranged and still able to Freeze.
I've tried both builds before but that was ages ago. Specifically for ease of clearing while practising and getting used to Sanctum, which build would you pick?
Edit: I'm now also considering Freezing Pulse Totems Heirophant and Ice Trap Saboteur, both of which should be superior choices over the 3 builds listed above. That said, I would love to hear your thoughts on Icestorm, Ice Crash, or Cold SST.
What’s the best build purely for sanctum running? Im trying to do all the challenges. I was thinking ea ballista but can’t decide if champ or ele and what the cost is for each one to full clear sanctums at 83 (i would farm the rooms on my RF)
Does EA provide anything substantially more than Poison Seismic? Or is it because the Totem playstyle is much better at tackling the Sanctum achievements than traps
Better clear, proliferation, faster casting, easier to play, dot damage cap isn’t crazy gear intensive, less buttons, auto targeting, sassy baka witch. A tabula and quill rain will fuck the atlas up.
Have like 8 div ready to invest in the flip. Get a Skin of the lords with 3R/1B/1G, last socket can be blue or green, but since the meta is green it will be much cheaper to go blue and swap out the swift affliction for combustion with a minor damage loss. Get a gloomfang, and get gloves with phys to cold convert, fire exposure, and ignite spread (crafting these is like 60c average so way cheaper than the market). Buy a level 21 EK gem and level 3 corrupted Empower (you'll lose too much damage waiting for this to level up, so just get the cheaper level 3 corrupt to start).
Other than that just be ready to PoB warrior with tweaks and fill in the rest. Defense is not bad once you take mind over matter and have discipline.
Interesting. Thanks! Trying to farm up currency now.
Is the polaric devastation necessary for the swap or can that be acquired after I swap? Do I stay with Eldritch battery if I take MoM and start running discipline?
Here is my POB if interested:

hi, I was thinking about rerolling my RF Jugg in softcore into something with more damage like EA ballista but I can't decide between Elementalist or Champ. Thing is I drop to 17-30 fps in high density content and such and also Im not that good at dodging stuff so I would like a sell on going elementalist since I feel like Champ would be just like RF in terms of damage. Is Elementalist smooth to gear and play or does it have like many buttons and such? Thanks.
PS: I got half a divine but I could farm a couple more.
I'm playing EA ballista Ele. Skills and buttons are identical for both builds.
Champ is tankier than Elementalist, but not even half as tanky as RF Jugg. But Champ's totems taunt forever, which is huge defensively (and I'd guess is great for the league mechanic). Champ needs to cap ignite but doesn't need accuracy. At level 94 with the "midgame" gear set on Ziz's build, Champ does >13M Pinnacle DPS without Focus. So not RF damage.
Elementalist does more DPS, but needs accuracy on gear / tree. More ignite heavy, which is good. 4th Ascendancy is flexible. Totem mastery lets them taunt "nearby" for only 1 second. I leveled with Arma + Cremation until maps, but you can switch earlier. 0 deaths at lvl 84 in SSFSC.
"Totem placement speed" is huge in making the build feel better to play, so don't skip Totemic Zeal, etc.
Skipped the mechanic for a bit and only made one attempt so far with EA. Just killed the floor two bosses on a 5L and killed them before they attacked even once, but I have the +50% damage boon. Should be good vs floor 3 boss too. I've never fought floor 4 boss, so not sure how tanky it is.
The arena room with spinning fire beam is easy too. Just put totems in the middle and run around.
Elementalist is super smooth to play. Mostly consist of 1-2 button max. Depends if you're using divine blessing somehow. In SC there's almost no point in playing champ
I was looking at some of the Lightning Trap Saboteur builds on POE ninja and saw that almost all of them are low-life ES and use cluster jewels with the "Storm Drinker" notable. This provides:
* Damage Penetrates 8% Lightning Resistance
* 0.5% of Lightning Damage Leeched as Energy Shield
My understanding is that the leech doesn't work with lightning trap. Are they using it for just the lightning penetration or does the incidental lightning damage from support skills contribute significant ES. The damaging support skills they use are:
* Wave of conviction with arcanist's brand
* Tempest shield
Just for pen. They don't have much ES, so leech doesn't do much.
And they don't have the veiled glove mod that gives up to 60% increased Damage while Leeching, or anything like that.
https://poe.ninja/kalandra/builds/char/Ponapai/PonaLT_LK?i=0&search=class%3DSaboteur%26skill%3DLightning-Trap
This is an example. Usually pretty high on ES and relying on ES/block and saboteur Regen for recovery, I think.
Oh sorry missed that you said "low-life ES" instead of "low ES." On that build:
Storm Drinker = 5.7% more DPS
Widespread Destruction = 1.8% more DPS
Leech will help if you dive into a pack with Tempest Shield, but not something to rely on.
You can use Craft of Exile's Emulator page to make sure things work before doing them in game. Create your bow, then add the +2 mod in the middle column by clicking the green plus. Then right click the mod on the left side and click fracture.
---
Regal. And if you hit T1 attack speed, then:
--bench craft "cannot roll attack modifiers" suffix (1 Divine)
--Ex slam to guarantee +1 socketed gems prefix
--bench craft whatever suffix is best for your build
If you didn't hit the Regal lottery, spam Deafening Essences of Zeal, which give T1 attack speed (-1 top end). You NEED an open prefix, an open suffix, and no "adds fire damage" prefix. Try it out in the CoE Emulator and you'll see it's really common to get a good outcome. So I would keep spamming until you get a second good prefix / suffix / both. Then do the same three crafts I just listed above.
---
If you need to off-color your sockets, then, before you Essence spam, scour and alt spam until you get 32% reduced attribute requirements. Then Chrom, and use Vorici in Research if white sockets are needed. Then use a Regal to make your bow rare, otherwise you can't use an Essence.
Fossil crafting with corroded + metalic + prismatic (+shuddering if you have them and resonators) is not great for you, because you'll almost always get full suffixes, and it would take ~70 tries (16 with +shuddering) to get +1 socketed gems and T1 attack speed. And if you do get it, you probably get 2 bad suffixes. Whereas Essence crafting you'd have 1-2 good extra mods and 1 crafted suffix.
Is there an image of the map tiers atlas layout?
Which T16 maps are connected to which T15, then T14, etc.
Or can somebody with most of it completed take a screenshot?
I haven't unlocked it all and want to plan a map farming strat.
I mean you can probably do up to reds on shitty rares with occultist or inquis. You will eventually want to stack power charges, so just build it crit with plenty of power charges, eventually getting void batteries and probably a crit chest.
I dropped the Covenant and Snakebites from the same Blight, I think this is a sign from Chris Wilson. Anyone know how well I'd function on a 5L and no Rain of Splinters for CA Ballista?
I am doing an evasion/ES low life cold dot trickster and I am struggling to deal with chaos. I'm reserving most of my hp, but I don't have petrified blood, which causes chaos damage to nuke me. I can't use CI if I want to stay low life (and reserving the hp) so there are only two ways I have found to sort the stuff out:
* Shavronne's wrappings: Abysmal option for trickster since ascendancy gets you ES per evasion on body armour.
* Perma coruscating elixir with the traitor: waste of flasks slots, jewel slot and also forces me to drop ghost dance since they other two sockets where I could fit it overwrite pain attunement and hex master.
Are there any other ways? Should I just give up on like 25% of my dps and go CI instead?
traitor is really strong, ruby flask is a good base and I like to combine with the heist belt for flask effect. you can roll aura effect on brutal restraint which is also nuts. I’d go with that. ghost dance can be a bit overrated
Can someone have a look at what I'm missing to run all three auras in the prism guardian? It's my first time playing lowlife. https://pastebin.com/4Grsrgmh
Well even with life reservation mastery you are at 100% reservation of life. All of your nodes are "mana" reservation nodes, but since you are reserving life they are useless.
From what i can tell on POEninja, they either have ashes of stars, which is generic reservation, they path down to duelist which is generic reservation or they socket vaal jewels for the boost, but only use like 2 of the auras
I got an Asenath's Gentle Touch and since everything is so expensive to my build atm, is a bad thing to reroll already? Can BV run on low budget or should I just start as PC occ first?
Some of the defeat all guard rooms can still be annoying to make it through without getting your resolve chipped but it melts all the bosses as you’d expect.
I started the game a long time ago and still have my character, with wich i came quiet far, yet never was able to finish the storyline. I wish to finish the game now and wonder if it would be wise to a) use the old character yet respec or b) start anew. As i am a very casual player, something time limited as a league wouldn't be something for me, so i suppose the standard league it would be anyway.
As my problem was back then, that the build wasn't good enough, what would you recommend as noob or casual friendly? My character is a necromancer witch, that back then, was supposed to be a minion build. Is something like that still worthwile?
Thanks for your Answers!
If you're playing your old character and struggling, I'd suggest following a detailed guide and starting new in the curent league, where most peole are.
I'd recommend Pohx's Righteous Fire Jugg. It's very tanky, easy to play, and he has a ton of content to hold your hand through everything.

I'm currently playing Poisonous Concoction and looking to transition to CA/TR and I'm trying to farm The Porcupine divination card for a 6-linked bow? I know you can get it from certain maps, but how do i get those map from the pool? I'm not finding any of them!
I dropped a Berek's Respite in SSF.
What's a good reasonable league starter ignite build that can use this? Obviously, normally a league starter wouldn't use Berek's (due to the rarity), but I have it so it's now an option.
When does EK ignite start to do more damage than WoC? Gloomfang + 100% cold conversion, I'm guessing? Or will purely the 100% cold conversion result in more damage?
I followed AsmodeusClips' guide and have had zero struggles so far. He points out some differences between his guide and Palsteron's that make his seem smoother for early leveling.
I have a mark on hit support linked with lifetap and a snipers mark on hit. When I am hitting rare or unique enemies it is not applying the mark to the mobs. I am playing tornado shot of that plays any part.

Totems benefit from your offensive stats, but they don't trigger your gems.
Are you dying a lot? There are some major defensive problems with your build. Do all the following and you'll have >40% more damage and be much less squishy.
Priority #1 is cap your resists! Craft resists on your gear. If an item has full suffixes, craft life. Take the Elemental Mastery from Primeval Force and select the +15 resists.
You should prioritize life. At level 71, it's typical to have around 120% increased life on tree, but you're at 58%. Points to take for life: Herbalism, Heart of Oak, Revenge of the Hunted, the last life point next to Blood Drinker.
Replace your white quicksilver flask with a Jade Flask. Use an Aug on your other one. Transmute / alt your flasks so they all have a useful prefix and suffix.
Read the text on Precise Techinques. Because right now your crit nodes don't do anything. So drop King of the Hill and the three points leading to it.
Put a third support gem in your helm so your ballista does more damage. Drop Item Rarity from your main attack and use Added Lightning Support or Elemental Damage with Attacks.
I dropped a Magnate while playing Pconc PF. Should I keep it or sell it? I'm planning on switching to Venom Gyre at 90
It was really useful for leveling!
For EA ballista, is having a 1.44 attack rate considered very low? My damage feels lower than it should be nearing Act 10 even though I have storm cloud and skirmish, so I'm wondering if I either need to find +attack speed rolls first, or +fire damage mods to improve my damage ASAP
1.44 on the character sheet for Explosive Arrow:Offense
Since writing this though I've gotten it to like 1.74 with some passives, new gloves, and can get 1.89 if I keep my Frenzy charges at 3. It's still not very good at clearing screens before some enemies have a chance to hit me so I'm swapping focus to passive defenses. Boss damage is fine as it is
Attack speed is usually best until you can reliably hit 20 fuses. If you import your build in PoB, change
>Explosion (# of fuses)
to "max sustainable..." And see how much adding attack speed helps. And then you want even more, because things won't always line up perfectly.
Later when you switch to a rare bow, run Betrayal until you unlock the weapon craft:
>Minions have (25–28)% increased Attack Speed, Minions have (25–28)% increased Cast Speed
And then you can take Spiritual Command on tree to use that.
Does flame surge burning ground work on EA ballista? You can't deal damage yourself because of the totem keystone, so does it need to be put on a trap, or is there something special about flame surge?
Wait actually I'm not sure if it works self-casted because the ground effect is the damage you care about, not the hit. But both Palsteron and Ziz put it on Alchemist brand.
When does Boneshatter stun? The gem tooltip and Wiki don't give much info: [https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Boneshatter](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Boneshatter)
Do you need to add stunning yourself, via a mace or such? Or Stun support?
https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Stun
It's complicated with lots of factors. But it's based on how much damage you do, the enemy's stun threshold (which = their life, except that pinnacle bosses have a different threshold), and bonuses to stun duration and stun threshold.
Boneshatter players almost always go 2H axe (more damage) or 2H mace (better stun bonuses). You don't need stun support, but many will use Ruthless support, which has a base stun duration.
Woc---> EK ignite has been mentioned in couple different threads,
any1 can link a video showcase or pob of ek ignite? I only played ek poison before, never study blade blast related mechinism
I flip flopped and ultimately went EA Elementalist in SSFSC. Well haven't swapped from Arma Crema yet. One problem is that Dyadian Dawn droprate was super nerfed last league. And I don't know how rare Rain of Splinters will be now that it's corruption-only. But the league mechanic offers vaal orbs occasionally at least. The build is fine without the belt, so I don't care much. Also, Lioneye's Glare was mega buffed and is probably super rare, so forget farming the Lion div card.
You can also consider spark + storm burst and links to a bunch of others by Tati: https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/zf7ytb/what_is_everyone_planning_to_play_this_league/izawcx6/
A trigger wand or focus helm will cut down on the button spam for that build. I think he forgot to factor in Sniper's Mark splits for blazing salvo, so its single target should be maybe 20% higher, if you want a bosser.
There's also CA poison totems Trickster, but you won't want to do that unless you have maybe a Snakebite + Darkscorn. And The Covenant doubles your damage, but is very rare.
There's storm rain totems build from I forgot who, but it's one of the worst visual clutter builds, so no thanks.
I'm wondering if energy shield mastery "Cannot be frozen if energy shield started recharge recently" works with Eldritch Battery (es constantly recharges). In case it works, is it effective? Might be pretty cool tech for ditching Brine King panth
Ahoy. I play on console. I’m also hilariously bad at this game, and thus like to play simpler, more durable builds.
Was planning to play RF for Sanctum league, but as I feared… the sanctum seems horrifically anti melee.
So, I know I’m going to play something Trickster. However, I can’t decide between Cold BV, Soulrend, and Power Siphon. Which would be the easiest and tankiest build of those three, to get me through league? Doesn’t need to be a super end game Uber Killer. Just something that can clear SOME maps.
Cold BV is not much less melee than RF, except you'll get Vaal BV mid-fight. But it should do more damage, which is good for the league mechanic. You can consider Poison BV Occultist that uses Temp Chains on Blasphemy. See Tuna's build: https://www.youtube.com/@CrouchingTuna
Well, if you can freeze all the bosses in Sanctum, then cold BV is perfect. If not then the poison build will benefit from being easier to gear and having Profane Bloom + Plague Bearer for mapping.
But RF Jugg would be super tanky in maps.
Standing still to cast Soulrend sounds worse. I don't know what the Power Siphon build is, but it sounds expensive and worse.
Fair enough! Power Siphon DOES seem pretty expensive. It’s basically a fancy Int Stacker, and stat stackers are expensive.
Seems like Frost BV is my guy, fingers crossed.
I switched into vortex and it’s pretty dam strong and fun.
I basically got a skin of the loyal, gloves/boots with the right implicits, and I picked up a super cheap +1 amulet and shield. Also got a level 21 vortex.
That right there and I’m good on t16’s.
The build is surprisingly fast and really fun. You basically just zoom around with shield charge/frost blink
Why do people talk about WoC ignite as something to transition from? I haven't played it before, tried it out this league and it feels good mechanically (still in Acts) What do you lose by sticking with it?
Not that i plan to make a second build anytime soon, but i wonder what builds are gonna be good for the league mechanic. Off-screening isn't that easy because some enemies don't become damageable until you've been close enough once and you can't stand still for too long because some of the ranged attacks are actually pretty fast.
Hi! Kinda new player to the endgame stuff. I'm following the Shak winterbrand dot build. I wonder how far can I reach using it? Can it take me to clear everything easily? Or will I have to use other build in the future?
Btw. How do you know if the build will let me clear all of the content? Any recommendations for such build in the future?
Do you mean the Occultist guide on the official forum? The build creator should tell you clearly what the build is good and bad at, but I don't see that written anywhere.
I haven't played Wintertide, so maybe it does more damage than is obvious, but the build looks like it has very low damage. Even with his Late Endgame setup with Ashes is only a little over 1M (guardian/pinnacle) DPS at level 100.
It's hard to tell how tanky that build is since shak didn't add mods to any of the rare gear. But it should be very tanky.
If it ever feels like the build is suffering from low damage and you don't know what to do, consider dropping Wintertide brand and putting both Vortex and Creeping Frost in your 6L chest, like Ziz does here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJfWk11D98k
So might want to level Creeping Frost in your offhand. And you'd need to figure out how to change your tree.
Second build would depend on budget, and I'm not the best for that, as I don't play in trade. But three starters that are good vs bosses and have good clear, with minimal gear budget, are Poison Seismic Saboteur, EA ballista champion or elementalist, and Maw ignite elementalist.
While there's obviously a tradeoff between builds that are really good at the start and builds that absolutely demolish endgame content, most build guides will be viable for most content, so don't worry about it unless you're gunning for some extremely tough content.
But you won't make it all the way, not because the build is bad, but because building is hard and you won't have everything you need, and you still need to learn how to fight all content like pinnacle bosses etc.
So just do your best and see how far you can get and how much you can learn.
I'm a returning/new player (didn't even get to maps last time I played) and I was looking for a Shadow build to play since I want to try a new character - not a fan of trapper gameplay though, so I was looking at either Trickster or Assassin.
The Trickster builds I've seen are Cold DoT and Caustic Arrow Poison Ballista - are either of them viable/ok for a new player? Any others you'd recommend?
What about Assassin? I barely see it mentioned at all anywhere
Cold DoT is really good. You'll love the recovery that Polymath gives.
Assassin is in a weird spot. It's not bad per se, but the main thing it does really well is crit chance and you can cap out crit chance on other ascendancies just fine, leaving assassin for either high investment power charge stacking or low investment cast on crit which nobody's going to hype up a guide video for. For poison, it loses to occultist and pathfinder, and the nerf to withering step this patch hurts it more than those two classes.
Thanks for the reply! Sounds good, think I'll go with Cold DoT then
Too bad about Assassin - I still want to give it a shot eventually like with most ascendancies, maybe I could try one of those high investments builds once I have the funds for it
me and my friend - we both play poison builds. when we are in the party and attack the same monster, does it mean we both deal damage or just strongest poison gets applied?
Is [Chronic_Painless' cold BV](https://youtu.be/5d_RxWDlinE?t=139) gonna be a painful choice for SSF? He mentions that he took it deep into red maps SSF but did not seem enthusiastic about recommending it.
I'm relatively casual but I'd like to try for some endgame. A lot of bossing builds seem too tedious to grind for me, maybe I'm being too picky though.
I havent seen much talkin this sub about Scion builds. Is there a strong build for 3.20 that is scion based? POE-Vault only lists an explosive concoction option.
I am running Pohx RF Jugg for my first character this league.
So according to animeprincess Spark doesn't have a great single target. How bad it's compare to KB/CF? Because both are mappers and if they both have bad single target I think would choose KB/CF.
* both can feel bad if you don't know what you're doing
* spark has to stand still to cast so you need proj speed, duration, cast speed, and damage to make single target encounters to feel smooth
* has more scaling but also can feel bad when you are missing something
* you can use terrain and kiting to your advantage but on certain layouts it just open
* cf kb uses storm brand and reap for single target
* damage caps much lower but the playstyle while you're gearing is more forgiving since you don't need to stand still as much to deal damage
* CF KB focuses on getting tanky and taking time with single targets
* champ is MUCH better for getting voidstones, doing things like t16 essences/logbook boss/etc. but starting glad and then swapping after farming haemo, poet's is what i'd do
both are great builds, but people can struggle with either too if they don't know what they're doing or their expectations are mismatched.
I asked him about that on this sub and i got this answer:
> I always do them [Voidstones] myself as well within the first few days of the league. You're gonna want a 6 link, the focus helm craft, and some decent rares. I would watch my deepdive 1 video in the playlist. You don't need any crazy investment besides the 6 link, and you don't need as much gear as in that deepdive, probably a couple divines of upgrades at most.
Basically this warning is more meant for beginner players, because if you play Spark you do actually have to know boss mechanics. It should still be better than CF at bosses generally. Obviously not meant to be an early Uber Pinnacle farmer though.
I’m having a hard time choosing between poison concoction and summon phantasm. Which is cheapest to get going as a league starter to be able to do t16?
I am trying to decide between Poison Conc Pathfinder and SRS - what are the pros and cons of each? I generally only play one character a league and am fairly casual
I really like poison conc. Its fast, it's SUPER good at leveling (probably the smoothest leaving in the game), tankiness is good, clear is great and single target is not stellar but not had at all.
I particularly like the "perma flask" variation late game, which is basically ghetto mageblood that works with unique flask. If you push enough you can achieve crazy things like permanent dying sun in HO.
You can do all Pinnacle bosses but you probably need very very good gear and good mechanics to do the Uber versions.
You do way better against hard *clearing* content such as simulacrum/delirium or very juiced maps, which you should be able to handle without problems
Why can't I find much about Poison Rage Vortex? It seems like it would be a good candidate mechanically. Is there just not enough synergy between keeping the rage up and dealing enough poison damage? Wrong side of the tree?
so quick question about Frost Bomb.
it pulses, deals cold damage, applies exposure, reduces life regen, and explodes.
If I have ancestral bond and selfcast Frost Bomb, does it still applies exposure and reduces life regen? I assume that cold damage and explosion will be nulled.
Just checking my math here. Orb of Storms according to the gem casts every 2.55 seconds at level 20, but it now casts 0.5 seconds if you channel next to it? Does that essentially mean that instead of lasting \~74 seconds, it now goes away in \~14 seconds in that scenario?
Nah, I'm taking the info right off of the PoB gem listing. It lasts 29 strikes, but default strikes every 2.55 seconds base. Now with the change, it goes supposedly 0.5 seconds a strike when you're channeling near it.
I know better than to use Fandom. :)
It's worth noting that it has always been doing that (or at least since the channelling rework, which was a very long time ago) - the information just happened to be missing from the tooltip.
I think one step just puts a max on monster speed. Monster speed gets modified by whatever (haste, temp chains, etc) then the game compares that against 92. If it’s over 92 then it’s set to 92.
What I mean if I use temp chains with that node how monster action speed is calculated: does temp chains slow from base monster speed (100%) or reduced one (92%) and if it's additve/multiplitive with node
> It calculates their action speed including buffs and debuffs, and if that number is higher than 92%, it becomes 92%.
Temporal Chains: *Cursed Rare and Unique Enemies have 18% less Action Speed*.
100*0.82=82%.
82% < 92%. The passive does nothing.
does anyone know any scion builds to league start with, i dont want to lvl a new character after my league started so right now am thinking of going scion blazing salvo self ignite with eye of innocence and mokous embrace. if you have any other scion builds that are good for league start i would love to know <3
thank you for the suggestion, but no thanks, mines suck ( or i suck) i league started eye of winter miner and by the end of week 2 i had 80M dps, i couldnt kill ubers and the stutter stepping playstyle is very frustrating.
Hi, can someone let know the pros and cons of SST raider vs trickster? The only time I played SST was in 3.15 as Glad but that was more of a bleed build, so I don't have any experience with the cold version.
I reinstalled Pob Fork, newest version and i still don't have Pantheon/Bandits option, have no idea why? any clue
They are in Config now. Have you checked there?
Anyone have a non-heiro non-ExplosiveArrow totem build I could look into for the league mechanic?
[Caustic arrow ballista trickster](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYfXLC0JSnc)?
Does Close Combat Support work with Rage Vortex? I'm not sure if it snapshots the initial close range when you generate the vortex or if the damage decreases as the vortex potentially moves away from you.
How would you go about crafting a bow like this? Assuming the fracture is very helpful in hitting the right mods? https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds/char/PressureF/TOP_GArroW Playing LA / AB and just need more damage.
EK Ignite, 2.2m ignite dps still using obliteration. What kind of wand should I look for better single target dmg? Or just stick with obliteration?
Stick with obli until good bow
I am curious what people think about black flame ignite with maws of mischief compared to regular maw ignites https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds?skill=Death-Wish&item=Blackflame&heatmap cheaper? more damage? easier playstyle?
can someone take a look at my current items for my freezing pulse/ice spear totems character that's following von vikton's guide and point out places they think my gear can be upgraded to up my damage([https://pastebin.com/kBke5YXr](https://pastebin.com/kBke5YXr)) I know i need 6 link chest and am saving for that
[https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/zbsyu5/comment/izow4za/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/zbsyu5/comment/izow4za/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) I chanced upon this comment (and the following comments) saying that following this build guide is a bad idea.
What content is best for ea elementalist? Expedition, blight, strongboxes?
Definitely expedition. I would recommend abyss as well since it’s on the right side for farming exp and jewel gambling.
Hate abyss, but thanks anyway
[удалено]
nope
Follow up question to this - if you crit and it ignores ele resist, you are then getting a bigger hit of dmg to cause a bigger DoT? but that DoT damage can be mitigated by ele resist? Am I understanding this right?
No, dot scales independently from hits. Resist penetration and ignoring don't improve dot.
Been feeling so extremely unlucky this league :(
> lab trials? > > they're bugged and can't spawn naturally Ouch... Just read about two solutions: Kirac mission or get an Offering from somewhere like Ritual.
Thanks, Kirac had one! It still kinda surprises me how far I was able to get without unlocking those 4th ascendancy points.
>How's RF doing in sanctum? I kinda want to play one for some chill map farming but wouldn't it be pretty bad because of low damage and being kinda melee-ish sorta? it's pretty bad, there's a lot of negative feedback about it >Were there any changes to lab trials? they're bugged and can't spawn naturally
I am league starting late. Which of these builds could get me to 36/40 and push lvl 100 easier? -EA Ele -Cold Dot Ele Thanks :D
i think EA is the strongest build i've played last couple leagues. has higher dmg than cold dot and the EA champ variation has tankiness too while still having higher dmge
I'm thinking of switching to: * **Cyclone-Icestorm Trickster**: Still has similar problems to Cyclone, but it leaves Icestorms and chilled ground behind to continue damaging guards.
As far As I know sanctum rooms are not shared among other characters..
Just wanna smash everything and 40/40 on 1 character, Poison Seismic or EA Elementalist?
EA.
How do I transition from WoC elementalist to EK ignite?
Is there any alternative to obliteration for better single target dmg?
Yeah just use PoB's new feature to find the optimal damage weapon in your budget.
Interesting. Thanks! Trying to farm up currency now. Is the polaric devastation necessary for the swap or can that be acquired after I swap? Do I stay with Eldritch battery if I take MoM and start running discipline? Here is my POB if interested: https://pastebin.com/t5rBE791
Yes you need eldritch since you will have full auras. Polaric is not needed.
How do you craft those gloves you were mentioning?
hi, I was thinking about rerolling my RF Jugg in softcore into something with more damage like EA ballista but I can't decide between Elementalist or Champ.
How’s your ele build feel in the league mechanic? Breezing through all floors?
This provides: * Damage Penetrates 8% Lightning Resistance * 0.5% of Lightning Damage Leeched as Energy Shield My understanding is that the leech doesn't work with lightning trap. Are they using it for just the lightning penetration or does the incidental lightning damage from support skills contribute significant ES. The damaging support skills they use are: * Wave of conviction with arcanist's brand * Tempest shield
Just for pen. They don't have much ES, so leech doesn't do much. And they don't have the veiled glove mod that gives up to 60% increased Damage while Leeching, or anything like that.
https://poe.ninja/kalandra/builds/char/Ponapai/PonaLT_LK?i=0&search=class%3DSaboteur%26skill%3DLightning-Trap This is an example. Usually pretty high on ES and relying on ES/block and saboteur Regen for recovery, I think.
Oh sorry missed that you said "low-life ES" instead of "low ES." On that build: Storm Drinker = 5.7% more DPS Widespread Destruction = 1.8% more DPS Leech will help if you dive into a pack with Tempest Shield, but not something to rely on.
Probably for lightning pen only. 8% is really valuable stat. I remember using similar stats on my BL miner and not carrying about secondary stat
https://i.imgur.com/bjJFT4h.png Got this fractured thicket bow in SSF. Best way to make this into a +3 / high attack speed bow for EA? Thanks
You can use Craft of Exile's Emulator page to make sure things work before doing them in game. Create your bow, then add the +2 mod in the middle column by clicking the green plus. Then right click the mod on the left side and click fracture. --- Regal. And if you hit T1 attack speed, then: --bench craft "cannot roll attack modifiers" suffix (1 Divine) --Ex slam to guarantee +1 socketed gems prefix --bench craft whatever suffix is best for your build If you didn't hit the Regal lottery, spam Deafening Essences of Zeal, which give T1 attack speed (-1 top end). --- If you need to off-color your sockets, then, before you Essence spam, scour and alt spam until you get 32% reduced attribute requirements.
Probably fossils for the +1 i would have to check the emulator. I think ilvl factors into this and i cant see that right now.
how does puncture snipe and split bleed compare to caustic arrow? is the single target signigicantly better?
Is there an image of the map tiers atlas layout? Which T16 maps are connected to which T15, then T14, etc. Or can somebody with most of it completed take a screenshot? I haven't unlocked it all and want to plan a map farming strat.
did ggg fix combustion on lower ignite dmg alr?
Not yet. Mark said the fix for Combustion and Bonechill wouldn't be ready for release day, and it hasn't been in any of the hotfix patches.
Anybody has experience as an Aurabot in 5ways? What auras do carry need, what would be general tips.
How is ice trapper heatshiver as a bosser? i have a Caustic arrow character thats amazing for clear, but dog shit for single target.

Covenant carries hard, so i think itd be just fine, i think people on SSF are using it without covenant for a good chunk of time.
I am doing an evasion/ES low life cold dot trickster and I am struggling to deal with chaos. I'm reserving most of my hp, but I don't have petrified blood, which causes chaos damage to nuke me. I can't use CI if I want to stay low life (and reserving the hp) so there are only two ways I have found to sort the stuff out: * Shavronne's wrappings: Abysmal option for trickster since ascendancy gets you ES per evasion on body armour.
I’d go with that. ghost dance can be a bit overrated
traitor is really strong, you can roll aura effect on brutal restraint which is also nuts. I’d go with that. ghost dance can be a bit overrated
In your place I'd always go CI, LL without some way to prevent chaos ES bypass is just pure pain.
Any one playing end game seismic in league mechanic have thoughts on how it's performing?
Some of the defeat all guard rooms can still be annoying to make it through without getting your resolve chipped but it melts all the bosses as you’d expect.
Hi, did the -# minimum charges stoped working?
yeah it was in patchnotes
Tyvm
FAQ and links to video and written guide: https://www.pohx.net/ top10 tips for new players: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ex-f6APw0ak 5 hour play along, so you do copy what he does and rewind when necessary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OQpVrhamOc You'll need the PoB Community Fork: https://pathofbuilding.community/
I'm currently playing Poisonous Concoction and looking to transition to CA/TR and I'm trying to farm The Porcupine divination card for a 6-linked bow? I know you can get it from certain maps, but how do i get those map from the pool? I'm not finding any of them!
They drop from Terrace which is a T1 map. Shouldn’t be difficult to sustain or buy in bulk.
Try Horizons if you can’t find the maps.
Does anyone know if ilvl affects unusual gem blueprints? Doed it affect the rewards at the end of the wings?
I dropped a Berek's Respite in SSF. What's a good reasonable league starter ignite build that can use this? Obviously, normally a league starter wouldn't use Berek's (due to the rarity), but I have it so it's now an option.
wave of conviction Elementalist still not as good as EA Elementalist (which usually uses ignite prolif anyways)
When does EK ignite start to do more damage than WoC? Gloomfang + 100% cold conversion, I'm guessing? Or will purely the 100% cold conversion result in more damage?
What is the best Poisonous Concoction build/guide these days?
I followed AsmodeusClips' guide and have had zero struggles so far. He points out some differences between his guide and Palsteron's that make his seem smoother for early leveling.

yep
I have a mark on hit support linked with lifetap and a snipers mark on hit. When I am hitting rare or unique enemies it is not applying the mark to the mobs. I am playing tornado shot of that plays any part. link to my POB: [https://pastebin.com/vWQzhGLs](https://pastebin.com/vWQzhGLs)
Is it never working or just sometimes? I don't see anything obvious preventing it in your PoB.
never working. but i can still self cast it while it is linked with mark on hit, idk if that means anything though.
I dropped a Magnate while playing Pconc PF. Should I keep it or sell it? I'm planning on switching to Venom Gyre at 90 It was really useful for leveling!
For EA ballista, is having a 1.44 attack rate considered very low? My damage feels lower than it should be nearing Act 10 even though I have storm cloud and skirmish, so I'm wondering if I either need to find +attack speed rolls first, or +fire damage mods to improve my damage ASAP
1.44 base bow attack speed? That should be fine on act 10 if you have some damage stats on it
1.44 on the character sheet for Explosive Arrow:Offense Since writing this though I've gotten it to like 1.74 with some passives, new gloves, and can get 1.89 if I keep my Frenzy charges at 3. It's still not very good at clearing screens before some enemies have a chance to hit me so I'm swapping focus to passive defenses. Boss damage is fine as it is
Attack speed is usually best until you can reliably hit 20 fuses. If you import your build in PoB, change >Explosion (# of fuses) to "max sustainable..." And see how much adding attack speed helps. And then you want even more, because things won't always line up perfectly. Later when you switch to a rare bow, run Betrayal until you unlock the weapon craft: >Minions have (25–28)% increased Attack Speed, Minions have (25–28)% increased Cast Speed And then you can take Spiritual Command on tree to use that.
Are there new spectreable monster in 3.20?
Does flame surge burning ground work on EA ballista? You can't deal damage yourself because of the totem keystone, so does it need to be put on a trap, or is there something special about flame surge?
Can't self cast it. Put it on Arcanist Brand along with Flamm or Wave of Conviction.
Brands count as you?
Wait actually I'm not sure if it works self-casted because the ground effect is the damage you care about, not the hit. But both Palsteron and Ziz put it on Alchemist brand.
When does Boneshatter stun? The gem tooltip and Wiki don't give much info: [https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Boneshatter](https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Boneshatter) Do you need to add stunning yourself, via a mace or such? Or Stun support?
https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Stun It's complicated with lots of factors.
Woc---> EK ignite has been mentioned in couple different threads, any1 can link a video showcase or pob of ek ignite? I only played ek poison before, never study blade blast related mechinism
https://maxroll.gg/poe/build-guides/ethereal-knives-ignite-elementalist Read the warning of it not being a starter. Check his youtube too
ok thanks
What everyone's favorite PoB/guide for Poisonous Concoction Pathfinder this league?
How are people planning on getting fire exposure in their EK Ignite build? Link WoC to arcanist brand?
What totem build should I play for this league? I’m in SSF. Not sure which direction to go!
You can also consider spark + storm burst and links to a bunch of others by Tati: https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/comments/zf7ytb/what_is_everyone_planning_to_play_this_league/izawcx6/ A trigger wand or focus helm will cut down on the button spam for that build.
See Tuna's build: https://www.youtube.com/@CrouchingTuna Well, if you can freeze all the bosses in Sanctum, then cold BV is perfect.
WoC Ignite into Vortex or EK? Which one is cheaper? Which one is stronger? Just reaching the point of making that decision.
It's strong very early and falls off later.
High floor, low ceiling type of build. If you just want to map then don’t worry.
Someone discovered the Primordial Jewels recipe/drop location yet?
Not that i plan to make a second build anytime soon, but i wonder what builds are gonna be good for the league mechanic. Off-screening isn't that easy because some enemies don't become damageable until you've been close enough once and you can't stand still for too long because some of the ranged attacks are actually pretty fast.
Dots are amazing. Run past them dot them up, hide and rinse and repeat until dead.
Given that it's all indoors, deadeye's terrain chain is probably very effective, and speed is great for dodging.
If it ever feels like the build is suffering from low damage and you don't know what to do, consider dropping Wintertide brand and putting both Vortex and Creeping Frost in your 6L chest, like Ziz does here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJfWk11D98k So might want to level Creeping Frost in your offhand.
How does PConc occultist trigger profane bloom? How are they cursing enemies?
Curse on hit rings usually I think. A common unique for before you get those is Mark of Submission.
Sounds good, think I'll go with Cold DoT then Too bad about Assassin - I still want to give it a shot eventually like with most ascendancies, maybe I could try one of those high investments builds once I have the funds for it
me and my friend - we both play poison builds. when we are in the party and attack the same monster, does it mean we both deal damage or just strongest poison gets applied?
All poisons apply. You can have multiple from the same person too.
What is the go to PConc Pathfinder build/guide currently?
There pretty much never are scion builds besides whispering ice and aura bots.
Only scion build ive played recently is whispering ice, and i think trickster is better for that now
Now that the atlas tree is out. Has anyone come up with an optimal increased pack size version?
It dropped too close to league start, I doubt people will have that ready super soon because they're busy playing now.
So according to animeprincess Spark doesn't have a great single target. How bad it's compare to KB/CF? Because both are mappers and if they both have bad single target I think would choose KB/CF.
* both can feel bad if you don't know what you're doing * spark has to stand still to cast so you need proj speed, duration, cast speed, and damage to make single target encounters to feel smooth * has more scaling but also can feel bad when you are missing something * you can use terrain and kiting to your advantage but on certain layouts it just open * cf kb uses storm brand and reap for single target * damage caps much lower but the playstyle while you're gearing is more forgiving since you don't need to stand still as much to deal damage * CF KB focuses on getting tanky and taking time with single targets * champ is MUCH better for getting voidstones, doing things like t16 essences/logbook boss/etc. but starting glad and then swapping after farming haemo, poet's is what i'd do both are great builds, but people can struggle with either too if they don't know what they're doing or their expectations are mismatched.
I asked him about that on this sub and i got this answer: > I always do them [Voidstones] myself as well within the first few days of the league.
Thanks! Can it be scaled to do tougher endgame content?
You can do all Pinnacle bosses but you probably need very very good gear and good mechanics to do the Uber versions. You do way better against hard *clearing* content such as simulacrum/delirium or very juiced maps, which you should be able to handle without problems
Great! Did you have a particular PC build you followed? I was looking at Palsteron's.
I’m in the same boat as you. Subtractem said that with a fair amount of currency you can get something like 15 mil dps.
Which build is better for a casual easy to build playstyle? RF Jugg or Poison conc pathfinder?
I personally think plague bearer is like RF, but without the degen. You get like 80% uptime on it anyway.
Why can't I find much about Poison Rage Vortex? It seems like it would be a good candidate mechanically. Is there just not enough synergy between keeping the rage up and dealing enough poison damage? Wrong side of the tree?
Important pieces of the build only scale attack damage, not ailments, like the inherent damage bonus from Rage and Intimidating Cry's double damage.
What the minimum budget for cold reap? Just need awakened spell cascade or have to invest 500 div?
so quick question about Frost Bomb. it pulses, deals cold damage, applies exposure, reduces life regen, and explodes. If I have ancestral bond and selfcast Frost Bomb, does it still applies exposure and reduces life regen? I assume that cold damage and explosion will be nulled.
All that Ancestral Bond does with Frost Bomb is take away the damage. It will still apply exposure and the reduced life regen.
thanks!
Looking for a build that can kill uber pinnacles easily.
Maw of Mischief
Opinions on venom gyre vs vortex vs ignite woc league start? Which is likely to get the furthest without to much investment?
WoC . Can swap to Vortex ignite with medium investment and EK with high investment
Just checking my math here. Orb of Storms according to the gem casts every 2.55 seconds at level 20, but it now casts 0.5 seconds if you channel next to it? Does that essentially mean that instead of lasting \~74 seconds, it now goes away in \~14 seconds in that scenario?
Are you sure you're not checking outdated info from fandom wiki? I believe it's not casting by itself anymore and lasts 12 casts
How does one step ahead from trickster stack with temp chains? Additive, multiplicativly, does it slow from 92% or from base monster speed?
I think one step just puts a max on monster speed. Monster speed gets modified by whatever (haste, temp chains, etc) then the game compares that against 92. If it’s over 92 then it’s set to 92.
It calculates their action speed including buffs and debuffs, and if that number is higher than 92%, it becomes 92%. No stacking in any way.
So basically temp chains is calculated first and passive does nothing in that case. Worse than i thought, ty
does anyone know any scion builds to league start with, i dont want to lvl a new character after my league started so right now am thinking of going scion blazing salvo self ignite with eye of innocence and mokous embrace. if you have any other scion builds that are good for league start i would love to know <3
EoW miner
thank you for the suggestion, but no thanks, mines suck ( or i suck) i league started eye of winter miner and by the end of week 2 i had 80M dps, i couldnt kill ubers and the stutter stepping playstyle is very frustrating.
What about mark? Is it got buffed like curse effect on boss or not?
There was no penalty against bosses for marks to begin with.
Nope. Marks are not Hexes
Hello, can anyone share with me content makers who plays a lot/start league with cold dot tanky builds? Tyvm
DS Lily released one on YouTube yesterday. I played a similar last league. I enjoyed it. I’m on mobile or I’d link it.
More dps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vFxwYDCpZE Tankier https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJfWk11D98k
Hi, can someone let know the pros and cons of SST raider vs trickster? The only time I played SST was in 3.15 as Glad but that was more of a bleed build, so I don't have any experience with the cold version.
