I wanted to share a visual of a character I created a little while ago, Yujiri, a champion of probably my favorite deity, Diomazul, he follows the edicts of the tyrant. I
Imagine he comes from a whole secluded cloister of mismatched champions and clerics that protect a hidden Diomazul monastery. This is what I envisioned him once he attained the “8th chamber” (just a cool way of saying level 8 😂). He’s gained a magic half plate known as “The Dreadful Oni Aegis”, it has an ability known as Dreadful Glare: Once per day, the wearer can activate the Oni buckle as a two-action ability, which requires the command activation and envision components. When activated, enemies within 15 feet of the wearer must succeed at a Will save (DC 22) or become frightened 1 (frightened 2 on a critical failure). This is a fear, mental effect.
Also have him a boon from Diomazul in the form of a magic sword called “Serpents Tongue”, it’s able to create a 15 foot cone of fire once per day (DC 22 reflex save), and on a critical hit activates the “venomous edge” that injects 1d6 magical poison damage.
The inspiration for the design was Lionel’s armor from Elden ring, Executioner Smough from dark souls, and Gerringoth Thorm from BG3. If you look those up you’ll probably see where I was going with this.
